Really nice hotel, friendly staff. Didn't try the food but restaurant looked good. Bit noisy at times as there was a wedding on while we were there but not too intrusive. Very clean.

We had our wedding here at the Palm Court in August 2024. Sharlene was our wedding planner and she was so helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble. She made sure all our thoughts and opinions were listened too and valued and advised us through the whole process. When it came to the day we could not fault a thing, the venue was beautiful, the food was fantastic and the staff were amazing! We were all very well looked after and everything went without a hitch. The staff went about and beyond on the day, even driving us into the city centre for photos when our taxi never turned up. We can honestly say thank to the Palm Court we had the best day of our lives! 🤍

We recently celebrated my mother-in-law’s surprise 80th at The Palm Court. They couldn’t have been more helpful or welcoming. We had it in the Sanderson Room, set with its own private bar, which was the perfect space for our large family gathering. Caitlin and Jena were absolutely fantastic. They made sure we were looked after the whole afternoon. Beverly was really helpful when we arrived too, and made sure we had everything we needed. My mother-in-law had the most incredible and memorable celebration and we have The Palm Court to thank for that.

The staff at the palm court have been absolutely fantastic, spoke to Sharlene about hosting a wedding reception in the Sanderson room and she was amazing and so incredibly helpful. She walked us through every step of the process. On the day the room we were presented with was absolutely beautiful, the place was immaculate and thoughtfully laid out. All the guests and ourselves were so impressed with the food and the overall service provided I really can’t praise them enough. A huge thank you to all involved at the Palm Court for making our day that extra bit special!

Had a family lunch there. The roast beef was tough as old boots, disappointing.

If you want to start the year off right... a visit to the Palm Court is a must. It's a tradition for us on the 1st of January in between visiting family to pop past for a spot of lunch. It is such a warm and welcoming restaurant and the staff are brilliant, so kind and friendly. They have a wide variety of large meals, roasts, and lighter bites such as soup, toasted sandwiches, and baked potatoes, which makes for an ideal nibble throughout the day. I would advise booking ahead of time as both the bar and restaurant fill up fast and with free parking onsite it's perfect for special occasions, coach parties or just a general catch up with friends. It also looks like a wonderful place to stay as well but have only ever tried out their food. The steak sandwich and chicken ciabatta are delicious, served in large portions, and served within no time at all. It really does fill a New Years Day hunger! If you want to think outside the box for food in Aberdeen, the Palm Court has it all!

This once decent hotel has gone downhill now faster than a speeding toboggan. The bar service remains decent but don't think about sitting in a locals seat! My main gripe however is just how awful the food is.There appears to be no one checking the quality of the plated offerings before leaving the kitchen. Our experience recently was that all of us were very disappointed. Also the young schoolgirls they use as waitresses are absolutely hopeless. You almost have to stand on your table and yell to have any chance of getting their attention. They then have the nerve to add a discretionary tip to the bill. That was removed quicker than a flash once noticed by us however. No idea about the rooms but if staying there best to eat at Oor Wullies chip shop down the hill.

Nice hotel, nice staff. There is no elevator, but we already knew that. The hotel is very winding, which is almost likeable and makes the building unique. We had a room facing the back street, but the traffic noise was manageable, at least at night. The quality of the food in the restaurant and also the breakfast was very good. Moving in, the waiting time between ordering and receiving breakfast was very long (about 30 minutes), which means that you should have thought carefully about what you want to order beforehand, because there is no time for a second course. We didn't find a good bus connection into the city. So we had to go by car. Parking is still available in Aberdeen and is also affordable.

Stayed here for a few days for a wee treat. Handy for bus into Aberdeen too. Staff were just a joy to deal with. Food was lovely and prices reasonable for a hotel. A good selection of drinks and cocktails. There was some deals available which you should check out on the website if going. Our room was nice and modern with a lovely drench shower that was easily changed to an ordinary shower if you wished.

My partners parents stayed at the hotel and they enjoyed their stay. We also attended the restaurant together for the steak night. The reason for 4 stars, they said the room was clean and well looked after. The members of staff working there were lovely. The price is decent for the stay and they didn’t have any complaints really. Now, the reason it didn’t receive 5 stars is due to the hallways being quite old and in some areas when stepping you can feel the floor being old and soft like you will fall through. The restaurants food was okay but the seafood linguini I would say is a no no. The calamari rings weren’t cleaned of properly and still had strings inside of them. The mussels tasted fine but not the best. The burgers were tasty and the fries that came with them was good. Desserts were also good. Members of staff were friendly to the dog and provided our dog with food and water which was nice. The atmosphere was nice but I do wish that less locals would use that place as a pub and just sit there and watch sports on the projector, I think that’s what made the atmosphere less nice. Overall we did enjoy eating there, and my partners parents like staying there but the rooms are quite small and are smaller than in pictures, some people might find the room claustrophobic.

Friendly staff. Warm comfortable room with tea & coffee facilities & more. The cost of food from the pub is a bit high if you're solo (maybe manageable for 2 people), the breakfast is worth it though. Also, they have events going on some days.

Atmosphere ZERO stars. This review is for Nicky's attention who very likely gets a much warmer reception when she arrives into the cafe than we do. I am only writing this as I no longer have a local cafe which is somewhat inconvenient. I was there with my wife and kid. The usual sit here, don't sit there nonsense we have to put up with everytime we visit. We usually go once a week for a year or more now. We were met by the usual lady who never smiles, always stressed. Told to sit over at the side area. There were two other people in the cafe, otherwise it was empty. All four tables at the main window were free. I asked to sit by the main window and was not one bit surprised by her response "there are only 3 of you" suggesting the window tables are for more than 3 people. She looked away and continued running our sandwiches through the till indicating the conversation on moving tables was now over. I asked if that was a 'no' (we can't move seats), and she confirmed that was the case. She then once again continued on the till. To me, her decision on the seats was for the sake of confrontation only, nothing to do with me or needing tables. We popped in for a family coffee and were met with the usual stress environment. It was her way or the highway... and we chose the highway. We left the cafe for good this time. This has been an issue before and I am not going to deal with this stress while paying top dollar. This is meant to be a relaxed environment, and it just isn't. Bye bye now.

Meh, it's not my favourite but my lovely wife Keith, who is autistic in the foot decided to start licking the walls before one of your employees drop kicked him in his balls (bert and ernie) NOW I CANT GARGLE THEM! Your vindaloo was cheeky though

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Amuse. Our server was lovely and polite, efficient and attentive. For starters, we enjoyed chicken liver parfait - smooth like butter, light and flavourful and paired with mango chutney - delicious! The other starter we had was the pasta dish - full of flavour, perfectly cooked. For main we enjoyed beef cheeks - tender and fall apart, served with creamy and rich mash and selection of vegetables. Absolutely delicious! Our second main was steak au poivre - beef was so tender and fall apart, and the sauce was outstanding. Rich, velvety and concentrated. Definitely an amazing experience, and if we ever come to Aberdeen again, we will be back!
