Spice's Restaurant & Take Away in Sandwell

2nd time here and can not fault it great food great service and very good value for money and you can take your own beer would definitely recommend

Been a while (like, 10+ years) since we last ate at Spices, was always a good curry with good atmosphere. Fast forward those years and the restaurant is still stuck back in the day. It’s dark decor and creepy toilets, not to mention the fake, plastic flowers, need an urgent re-vamp to keep up with its local competitors. However, the food was of decent standard still. Disappointing that on a Sunday eve they didn’t have the 4 course offer on like some other local curry houses but this may be why this place was so quiet? I expected more from my house special curry-it was way too salty and tasted like the chicken tikka. The naans were nice and fresh and the others enjoyed their food. Staff, really friendly. Glad we came back for another try but probably won’t be at the top of our return list anytime soon. (You can take your own drinks too, always a bonus).

Cosy little place,good service and good food,and good price,been there for quite a few years,you can take your own drinks if you wish.

I had a takeaway 0n Friday and it was not what I order and the nan bread was not cook the driver claimed that he did not have any change I will not be ordering from them again

Our Friday night visit was hard to fault. If there is a downside then i would suggest it could be a bit brighter inside which is hardly a deal breaker. Conversely the service and attention would be it's main strength as well as the food of course. I particularly liked the accompanying dips with the poppadoms. Our shared sheekh kebab starter was a bit "firm" but still pleasant enough. The curries and chicken in our "special dishes" were both excellent. Nice rice and nan, standard chips! I did like the fact that they are licensed but happy for you to take your own alcohol. I note some people taking their own soft drinks. Perhaps a fair proposal would be a corkage for anyone taking their own ? Very reasonably priced and well worth a visit.

My partner and I visited Spices this evening,the resturant was absolutely full with customers, mainly big parties celebrating Birthdays Weddings but although rushed of their feet the customer service is superb the food was amazing, nothing was to much trouble Well done to all of you, Wednesbury is proud. My partner and I visited this restaurant tonight it’s got a very homely feel the staff are very welcoming and friendly the ambience is perfect for a private couple or a family gathering. The food is fantastic and the garlic nans to die for. To much food for me so they boxed it for me to bring home. Highly recommend excellent quick service well done all of you x

Had a takeaway delivered tonight it was absolutely scrumptious piping hot and delivered with a smile, never had a bad meal either delivered or at restaurant The mushroom rice was lovely lots of mushrooms and the lamb rogan josh was so tender. Well done to all the staff keep up the good work

Ordered meal via just eat, order arrived 10 mins early but was only lukewarm, spoilt it some what, we ate most of it but chucked some of it away as it was just too cold by the time we got round to eat it...

Went here with family very attentive and quick with cooking food plenty of food and the Naans are huge. No alcohol at the bar which isn’t a problem just take your own, but soft drink are on the expensive side as they are out of a bottle! Good value for money food is bought to table piping hot! 4 ppl 2 courses Naans chips poppadoms and dips & drinks £67

Came here tonight for a family birthday meal, the men serving were fantastic, they were very friendly. My granddad loves a curry so thought we would take him somewhere new and as we left he said it was the best curry he had had in years, very impressive! The food was piping hot and absolutely beautiful. We was recommended by a friend and would absolutely be going again, brilliant atmosphere, brilliant staff and fantastic food couldn’t ask for any more!

We went to the 9.30 pm sitting on New Year's eve so we could stay for the party afterwards. Have to say that from the moment we walked through the door to the time we left we were made to feel very welcome and special.Starter platter was lovely and the main meals were superb. Can highly recommend the mixed special biryani if you have a good appetite and the tandoori mixed grill was really tasty.Thanks Spices for making our New Year's eve so much fun

First time doing an Indian Christmas lunch for a long time. Friendly service, as always. Food was delicious. Everyone enjoyed themselves. Will definitely do it again here. Thank you to all the staff.

Booked in for a Saturday night curry... I say booked in because it gets very busy and not worth the risk.

Went here bank holiday and wasn’t sure it was open but it was and were greeted with a smile. We were allowed our own drinks and ordered starters mains and sides. All came out in a reasonable time and were tasty. We ordered the speciality curries. Overall the bill wasn’t too pricey.

We have been using this restaurant for over 15 years, in that time we have enjoyed almost all the menu. Yes the chef, manager and staff may change but they have stayed very consistent in the quality of the food.

We visit Spices every time we fancy a curry. This is by far the best Indian restaurant by far in Wednesbury. The manager and his team are always welcoming and helpful. The food is amazing.

These guys are so friendly, they go out their way to make sure everything is to your liking, the fact they remember my name every time i go in tells me something too, food is always nice and the restaurant always clean and staff are excellent.

Early delivery and lovely food!

Food was cold. Starter ordered was a meat platter for 2 which looked more like a starter for 1 when it arrived, meat was very dry. Will not order again.

Food was absolutely beautiful, my fiancé had a jalfrezi in which he never tried before and loved it, chicken fell apart when you put your fork into it, was absolutely beautiful!

Foods beautiful but we don't use now since took the discount off just eat as its more expensive than others with the same standard food.

We had a excellent meal, the place had a fantastic atmosphere and great staff. it doesn't look much from the out side but its great inside. Would definitely recommend a visit.Would we come back oh YES..!!!!!!

1 hour 45min wait for delivery then when food came was lukewarm hardly any cheese on a cheese nan!...chips like cardboard won't be ordering again

First time there last night. Nice warm welcome, seated quickly, even though the place was packed. Food came without delay and was spot on. Lovely warm atmosphere.

A group of ten of us visited on Friday night. The service was so quick, the staff were very attentive and the food was superb and great value for money. Cobra on draft or bring your own drinks. Will now make this our regular curry house!

heard good things about this restruant. unfortunately my experience of the food wasn't the best. curry was red too much colouring and rice was hard.

The only downside to this restaurant is the food. Every curry seems to have the same flavour and every dish seems to be excessively over salted? Salads and sauces very nice though, excellent (made the meal bearable)

Food was delivered within the time but was very poor quality. This was the blandest curry I have ever eaten, the rice was very starchy and stodgy and the curry was just bland. The samosas were small but tasted good and there was nothing wrong with the naan but we had a platter starter which was dry, tough and flavourless. There are lots of much better curry places close by to order from.

The service is always very attentive, the food is excellent - great choice of vegetarian, fish & meat dishes. The chef is accommodating when requesting food not on the menu (garlic chilli naan, veg pilau rice etc) I can highly recommend the spicy fish pakora!!

The food was really nice wasnt warm tho took hour and half to come but after 5 calls to the restaraurnt we got the food free of charge ordered at just after 20 past 9 came at 10:50pm if it was on time would of given 5 out 5 as jt was nice but needed re-warming

Don't waste your time on any other lesser Indian restaurants. This place is the dogs do dahs. The quality is better when you eat in but still they knock the socks off any others. You've not lived until you've had a nilam bhuna.

Would have been full stars for food quality but chips were rather dry, other than that the food was delicious! Delivered hot & fresh and driver friendly. Will order again but leave off the chips

This was our second visit to Spices. We were a table of 4, my nan who is usually a very fussy eater loved her curry. The food is very good with excellent service. Would definitely recommend.

First time ordering from here, it has the be the best Indian takeaway we've had in Wednesbury with really friendly staff. This is going to our regular.

I swopped from our regular well known Indian take away in great bridge to this one & havn't looked backed since. The food is full of flavour & always hot when it arrives, the only thing I'd moan about is on line there's no 'lamb' options but don't let that put you off simple order the chicken version then leave them a message in the comment box when you order, the 20% is a bonus too.

A group of 9 of us attended here for my partner's birthday. Having dined here in the past and had positive dining experiences we were surprised in the slip in the standard of the food. The interior is starting to look tired and needs a refurb and the chairs are ridiculous heavy. Once we were all seated we had our orders taken promptly and poured our drinks (one big advantage of this restaurant is that you can bring your own alcohol). I had the tandoori king prawns (£4) and only had 2 on my plate, I know king prawns can be expensive but I would've expected at least one more. Next I had the chicken tikka dry and this was a better sized portion. However, I offered my Dad several pieces of mine to make up for the fact that he only had 6 small pieces of chicken in his £7 balti. We declined dessert as we had bought a birthday cake which the staff kindly bought over to the table. Once we had drank our floater coffee, which unfortunately weren't very hot, we chatted a short while to end the night but ended up feeling rushed so that another large group could have the table which ruined the social aspect of the night. Overall, I don't know if the chef has been changed or the management but we will not be returning based upon this experience.

Failed to send poppodoms out with meal.... But after calling restaurant brought them out to us.... With a bottle of beer.... Food very nice tho

I'm a regular customer in Spice's Wednesbury. I always order the Tandoori Chicken Stir Fry starter; Chicken Tikka Bhuna and Pilau rice. Delicious and highly recommended. Fast delivery and no issues encountered.

I have had much better, but I still recommend because every chef has a bad day at the office. Love the people here.

So we've been paid so head for Spices to enjoy their fixed price menu. Poppadoms - plus 3 accodiments - A Starter- we chose pakoura and children stir fry.Main meal - choice of a 10 different curry'sThen rice or a Nan bread.So all food came out on time and was cooked to perfection - staff are good natured and want to ensure you enjoy good food and a Spices experience especially with the 80's music.

The man that delivered my order was very honest. I had forgotten id ordered through just eat with my card, and i offered him the money again at my door. He made sure to tell me that i had already paid.

Go here regularly, consistently great food, huge array of veggie options. Friendly, attentive staff and if you order takeaway for delivery they're pretty speedy.

Low marks due to my order not matching. Meant to be madras hot but was really mild. Also delivery was late. Also nan breads was a disappointment was too small and very thin
