‼️🤡Racism applied restaurant😋with an obvious appreciation to white customers. My friend and I wanted to move to a larger table and got informed that the larger table is for reservation only. When another group of customers came, they were invited to the RESERVATION table. Note: they answered they do not have reservation at the entry 🤡 Run

When I walked into the store on a rainy day, a waitress wearing a white T-shirt asked me to sit at a small table in the store. We are two big eaters and asked if we could change to a larger table. She told me that another large table was reserved. Then a pair of white people came in, and she asked them if they had reservations. The white people said no, so she directly showed them to the big table. It was the reserved table she was talking about, an absolute fool's errand. racism. By the way, I was the only Asian customer in the room.

Absolutely delicious Thai food, with authentic flavour. We had the Panang curry and the Green curry, both were fantastic. Small bowl of rice for £4 was maybe a bit excessive and not great draught beers in my personal opinion (peroni, asani). The lady serving was absolutely lovely. We sat outside as we had a dog with us. Highly recommend this place

Sadly the food although was full of flavour, was pre made and warmed up, when I questioned the waiter, he said it was cooked fresh, after telling him it wasn’t he agreed and said the chef will make it again, but no thank you. When presented with the bill, the waiter said, because of the food we don’t have to pay the service charge, what a joke as if we were going to pay that for food that was cold in places and hot in others, microwaved food in a city centre restaurant is shocking, and trying to tell us it’s fresh, definitely not returning.

Banging Thai food. Big flavours and plenty of variety. Pork skewer starter, the duck curry with rice, and the massaman were especially great. The "very spicy" option is a huge overestimation and adjustment to Scouse taste buds, though.

Really really horrible experience at this street food today. I was appalled by the size of portion received as compared to what I had paid for on the website. When I went to query this and request a further amount, I was told that this is because the pork belly was cut larger to size. This was absymal service and considering the price paid for what is essentially a food court, I feel scammed. Very unfortunate , do not recommend

Impecible service couldn't be faulted. Staff were lovely We ordered the prawn ton yum soup which was very authentic however I could only find a small slice of lemongrass in this dish and could hardly taste that a lemongrass flavour. I understand some people find it a little overwhelming and the English palette may not be used to it but I would have preferred a little more of that flavour in my to yum. Plenty of prawn and went well with the prawn crackers which were Thai not Chinese one slightly different and something new to try. For mains we had a penang curry with chicken and rice. Delicate spiced curry dish was deep red smooth full of flavour and quite delicious the chicken in the curry was cooked to perfection jicy and tender. The next main was the three meat dish with crispy belly pork (fab) charsui (bbq pork) and duck with vaitous sauces and dips. The belly pork crispy and juicy at the same time very nice. The char sui was very good, I havent found a decent char sui for a while in Liverpool but this was nice and finally the duck, not sure how it was cooked it was different than the crispy deep fried you get at Chinese but I preferred it to be fair very tasty and juicy. We did order the marinaded chicken wings but these were dissapointing as they were very dry and you could not taste the marinade. I have a suspicion these were made in large batches and not to order as they were very dry. I did visit the toilet before I left and it could do with some incence burner or something as it smelled farty which put me off having another beer with it being close to the bar. Overall a nice little change up that end of town Great value for money.

Bit overpriced. Seated quickly but wasn't super busy. Paid Thai X2 (crispy pork belly) Salt and pepper chicken wing starter for one Green tea for one Pint of asahi Service auto added £52 Pad Thai was odd. Sticky. Didn't taste like any pad Thai I've had (I've had a lot). Sort of gummy and chewy and the noodles very red. Okay, but not paid Thai. Pork belly was mostly dry. Slither of lime on the side. Chicken wings. Five as a starter which is a good amount. Three were DRY. Other two were lovely. Taste was really good. Tea was tea - tea bag. Pint was a pint. Currys don't come with rice so you'll end up dropping £20 for one dish really. Street food, no. Overcooked food. Odd pad Thai. Won't be back as better value and quality food elsewhere. Too much competition to serve poor food. Especially as there is a good Vietnamese three doors up.

This is a great place for authentic Thai food, I really liked the flavours. I thought it was quite expensive for Thai street food, I was a solo diner and I had a papaya salad, green curry and rice with a soft drink (2). The bill was £40 incl. Service. I think that's quite high for the food I ordered. Would I go back, probably but not as often as I would if prices were a little lower. The decor can't be described as high quality.

We luckily walked in just as a large family group was walking out--they gave an enthusiastic recommendation! Our first seats were near an aircon, but they moved us to another table as soon as we asked. We were very happy with our meal, excellently prepared dishes at the spice level we requested, very quick and friendly service. The only glitch came when one of our group checked about gluten free options, and the server got confused about whether or not the rices were gluten-free, meaning the diner ended up with the wrong rice. So maybe a little training to help staff confidently answer questions about allergies/intolerances? If I lived in Liverpool, I'd eat here again. We each had a main, rice, and glass of wine or beer, and spent about £25 each with tip.

They added a high service fee 12.5% automatically without asking. Although it written optional in the receipt but it was half hidden it the black cover and the lady directly handed the card machine. This was overly priced and very disappointing. Edit: 1. The customer should have the right to choose their service fee based on their experience. Not doing this way. 2. The 12.5%service fee is too high. 3. The receipt and the ‘optinal’ service fee was half hiding in the black cover. The lady directly handed the card machine to pay. 4. You probably would need to check menus very carefully to find out the hidden 12.5% service fee. I read the menu but missed that information.

£12 for a small portion of Thai holy basil chicken. No rice included, extra £4.50 for plain rice. Pretty steep price for what is given. Rude young guy at the door. Apathetic attitude, and seemed as though I was inconveniencing him by coming to collect my food. No pleasantries were returned by him in the interaction. Wifi only available for staff after asking. Strange atmosphere, staff watch you whilst you eat, the “manager” doesn’t know what day it is and the food is terrible - cold, bland and tough. Would avoid and dine at the Duke Street Markets which have just as good food, cooked fresh and a lot more reasonably priced with decent portion sizes not like this awful establishment. The owner is also very condescending and would not return. UPDATE: The restaurant doesn’t like feedback and think it’s acceptable to sell poor food and then when you raise it with them they disregard your experience. Tried to speak to a manager and they totally disregarded our experience.

When I entered it was pretty empty; there was a table of 2, a table of 1 & I was the extra addition also requesting a table of 1 around 4:45 on a Friday. That’s Ordered a drink (forgot the name… I think a type of lemonade that comes out purple) & pla neung ma now (whole sea bass in a spicy/tangy sauce) with some coconut rice on the side. Both were DELICIOUS. The only issues were 1. The fish did not have all its scales removed. It was a nightmare, a terrible nightmare because it tasted so good & by the time you realised there was scales it was too late. It was so good I want the recipe so I can make it at home with the proper scales removal so I can really enjoy the experience of eating it. 2. The staff all hang out by the bar are area. That’s all good, but you feel like you’re being watched because it’s a pretty small establishment. 3. Adding a tip without asking people if they want to add one is forceful nasty behaviour. I just want them to improve their fish descaling and the staff to not gather by the bar areas. That would turn this into a 5 all around. Haven’t tried other dishes & it was my first time eating there so if I go back, it won’t be for the fish. Unfortunately as I went to eat there because I was waiting for my phone to get fixed, I don’t have any pictures.

🇬🇧 Having had the opportunity to travel to Liverpool, UK for a few days, I already missed Thai food, so I searched for a restaurant from Google and Youtuber and came across a restaurant called Spice Thai, a Thai restaurant with several branches in Liverpool. Most importantly, the owner of the restaurant is Thai. The staff taking orders are also Thai. Menu that we ordered 🍤Fried shrimp - reminds me of restaurants in Thailand. The fried shrimp was crispy. Dipped with delicious chicken dipping sauce. 🥩Pork ribs stir-fried with chili and salt - semi-spicy. The ribs are not hard, delicious, stir-fried with chili and salt, unlike anything you've ever eaten. But not bad. 🦐Tom Yum Kung - not spicy, western taste. Going towards sweet and sour. Anyone who comes abroad must miss Thai food like we do. ❤️ #tbackpackp ******************************************* ♥️Review from my personal opinion only. You have to try it to know. Spice Thai is a good addition to the Castle Street dining scene. We visited on a Sunday evening and were seated upstairs. The restaurant was reasonably busy, and the service was prompt. For starters, we ordered Chicken Satay, Duck Spring Rolls, and Vegetable Gyosas. Each came with its own distinctive dip/sauce, one of which had a good hit of chilli. For main courses, we chose three again, the Pad Thai, Weeping Tiger, and another dish that we didn't touch. I liked the Pad Thai, and my partner was less keen. Always a benchmark dish. The Weeping Tiger was beautiful too. But the other forgettable dish seemed to be made with Tinned Chopped Chicken. It did not look very appetising. With rice and a couple of glasses of wine each, plus a 10% service charge, the bill racked up to more than £120. I felt the wine at £9 a glass plus service was rather pricey for what it was. Overall, I'd happily return, I think my partner would take more persuasion.

Nice little place, sat outside as very little space inside. Had the Pad Thai with pork belly (not something it usually served with) and shrimp and Chicken Satay. Pork belly was crispy, but it seemed like the pork belly and shrimp were both added in afterwards and not tossed with the sauce. Shrimp were properly deveined and good size. Decent flavour to the Pad Thai, not overly tangy from the tamarind. Chicken satay was very good with a great peanut sauce. Overally would definitely come back

I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The mangoes were black and clearly not fresh. Even after asking for a replacement, the new mangoes were still the same. The staff insisted that the mangoes were supposed to look like that. To make matters worse, I found a hair in my rice. This is unacceptable and I hope the restaurant takes steps to improve their food quality and hygiene standards.

Cozy little Thai restaurant with a warm atmosphere. Having tried Thai food from all over the world, including Thailand itself, I would say it’s okay, good for locals, but certainly has room for improvements. Tomyam soup and green curry tasted like it was made from pre-packed ingredients, not the authentic version homemade spices. Understandably due to the need for speedy servings and the lack of local Thai ingredients in the UK. But it was a good experience and fixed our cravings for Asian food during our long trip in the UK, especially the Jasmine fragrant rice. Good enough I would say :)

The food was so tasty we couldn’t stop eating. I really recommend the pad thai with tofu that is 12,50£. The fries are the best I had. The service is amazing.

I love it. Guess it's best Thai food I have ever tried in UK. Pad Thai is excellent, it's exactly the Thai taste. Pork is wonderful too. Sad I dont have enough room to try more. The second floor is a bit tiny, not a prob anyway
