Spice Of Life in North Lanarkshire

Not had a meal from here in a while and got a just eat voucher as a gift for doing a favour so thought we would have a treat from here. Chips utterly mush not cooked long enough despite asking for well done chips in the comments. We have had poor soggy chips previously hence the comment for well done. Cook them more they go into a bad then wrapped in plastic and sweat to utter mush, not edible at all. Nan bread way way too thick not for us. Visually when taken out bag it wasn’t long enough so stretch it out more surely? Chefs night off? Tender lamb for the curry, no it wasn’t soft. Does anyone taste this food? I would say the lamb is many days old dried up making it hard and chewy. You are the most expensive around. Used to be good now very poor quality. Taste your food you wouldn’t eat yourself what was served tonight. You wouldn’t pay that sort of money for that garbage An expensive waste. Never again

If you're going to leave the counter abandoned while you chat through the back for 10 minutes at a time, perhaps invest in a bell or door chime so customers can get your attention. Used to love this place. But the drop in quality of the food and service have been striking in the past year or so.

Second time ordering recently, second time I've been left over an hour later with no delivery. Only to discover they had the address wrong. At least the first time the driver called to say "he's only written down the house number, at least give me a clue?" You really need to get someone on the phones that has listening comprehension skills, guys. This place used to be amazing. Not so lately.

Used to love this place but seems to have gone down hill , got a king kebab the meat was cold and bone dry , pieces of meat were cut really thick , feel as tho i got the dregs that were left over , not been happy past few times now , time to go elsewhere , pity really liked this place .

£4.50 extra at the door feels a bit excessive, even when we ordered a sauce to have it switched to a different one (curry to korma) and a naan to a garlic naan which was already included in the mixed grill. Last time there was no charge and now there is this time!? I'm confused 🤔

Best pizza Ave had in bellshill could have been more chicken but I loved it

Delivery was quick however food quality was very poor have been warned not to use this place and should have listed donner meat was as if it was from last weekend all burnt scraping and some slimey bits. Best part about this was the chips as they seemed fresh, won’t be back.

I ordered chicken pakora and ended up with vegetable.

Best Indian takeaway in Bellshill, food is always delicious, it's worth the dosh.

My order is now 30 minutes late and is still not here. The shop is not available to call either as it is closed now.

First time here..doner kebab meat chewy like the fake soya chicken now used in Chinese takeaways. It was a pound weight of meat and salad and sauce dumped on top of the bread didn't even cut it open or try to fill it nicely..was super salty and peperry..no lamb flavour.

Food was disgusting. Clearly had been reheated and not that well as it was cold. Chicken was so chewy it was inedible. Donner meat was dry, and the panoramic was so dried up that it could not be eaten.

9 times out of 10 Al go into store to get my food and you can clearly see them cut fresh kebab meat for you and the scrap shavings and burnt bits to in a wee pot always wondered why now I know it's for the munchie boxes! mines was full of rubbish wee shavings and rock solid bits the chips clearly not freshly made! all the chicken pakora was slimy underneath the batter and the rest of the veg and mushroom pakora I coulda panned a window with never mind get my teeth through them early delivery tho

Ordered 10" grill box. Meat was good, especially the chicken breasts, they were juicy and very tasty, wish there was more of it. Overall the ratio of chips to meat was decent. Chips were average. Would order again.

Food was delivered to wrong house, by the time we got it the food was cold. Normally no issues with this place and food is good, let down on this occasion by poor delivery staff. Phoned restaurant and they offered to replace order, pity about delivery staff.

Food is good. Order was later than expected but they did adjust the time on the app. I asked for a tub of Korma sauce and I would pay extra if required, driver said I owed £6 - complete joke. I paid it however it’s a nonsense to charge that to an already £21 order - no meat, just sauce for £6. Fleecing jokers.

I must say the delivery girl from Spice of life has one kind heart. A girl from Coatbridge really upset took her home..we tried to get her a taxi but this girl went above and beyond took her home … well done. If that was my daughter I would be grateful for making sure she got home ok … 5 stars 🌟

Missing garlic Mayo and pink sauce

Possibly the worst Indian takeaway I’ve had,

1 can of coke and 1 can if irn bru missing from order

Food on par yet again. Portion was huge. Tasted amazing. Plenty of salad too

1 pizza was decent . The other pizza fell apart each slice been took looked absolutely terrible like a big soggy mess

I had a bbq chicken kebab with salad & sauce. The worst kebab I have ever eaten & there was literally 12 strands of salad. Absolutely gobsmacked. Never will I come back here for an order again.

All the kebab meat tasted weird, hard to explain but no one ate the food with kebab it just tasted off and was overly greasy

you delivered the wrong meal .I ordered chicken Tikka .( Chicken pieces and a sauce in a seperate box with rice. we received small pieces of chicken in a sauce. Not what we wanted.

Pizza wasn't hot,base was overcooked,delivery was over 30 mins late despite ordering early and booking delivery for a specific time.

Ordered a lamb chicken tikka and donner hoagie, chips were brown and horrible,it was missing the lamb. The donner meat was dried out with very large gristly bits in it. The meat had obviously been sitting out for a while before it had been served. I’m not usually fussy with food and will soldier on and eat something. But I literally couldn’t eat a quarter of this due to how bad it was. Even the garlic mayo’s and chilli sauces tasted off. It’s a real shame because this used to be a good takeaway but it has went downhill in recent years. Sorry to say but they’ve lost a customer in me. 0/10 for effort

Food was over 30 mins late. I waited one hour and 25 mins. Everything was totally cold and couldn’t be eatin. The chips were left over crumbs black and hard. The pizza was also cold with the thinnest layer of chicken. When I called the restaurant I was told my food left a long time ago. They said it would be another 45 mins for another delivery. Then said they wait 3 weeks for just eat money so I should take it up with them to get a refund. Terrible service and terrible food

Terrible. Embarrassing for the old reputation of Spice of Life. Hardly any chicken in the dish. I remembered after the last awful experience they clearly serve up smaller low quality dishes at the weekend for the pub customers etc. Sad to see how far Spice of Life has gone down over the years. Never again. Much better Indian takeaways in Bellshill.

Enough is enough. Awful food from a once proud Indian takeaway in Bellshill. Gave them yet another final chance but food was terrible. Hardly any meat in the curry. Never ever again.

The food has deteriorated in this establishment. Tonight the lotta bread was saturated in grease. The meat was like card board and even the sauce was disgusting. As a regular customer I can assure you I won’t be using this shop again.
