Spice Of India in Enfield

Tikka masala should state it doesn’t come in sauce…I never knew what butterfly prawns meant until now lol as I/we were expecting multiple prawns not 1 giant prawn. Please do not put food (salad) in plastic bags, would much prefer a container of some sort, food was nice besides all mentioned above and will order again.

I don’t know what’s happened to this restaurant maybe they’ve changed hands , been having curry from here for years and was always top quality but not anymore , I’m very upset don’t think I’ll order from here anymore as I’ve tried three times and I can tell it’s just not the same ☹️☹️

food was not nice, chicken tikka masala was chewy and in edible, and the rice and bombay potato was full of hot spice. onion bajis tasted re heated and really not good. So annoyed.

They need more experience the food is disgusting never recommend spice of India paid £17 for a meal that I couldn't eat I could of gone to a restaurant down the road the chicken is so hard and rubbery that it is inedible very poor morals I wouldn’t even give a star if I could it has happened a few times now I can understand why they are not busy

the lassi was missing from my order, It was the Only reason i ordered from this restaurant !!.. Extremely disappointed. £1.95 is actually quite a bit of money to spend for me, and I didn't even get the item!!!! Utterly unimpressed about this!

I’m writing this feedback while I’m eating Tandoori Chicken which is delicious. It’s the best I’ve ever tasted. Pilau Rice with Mix vegetable, lamb curry and Salad just wow. Highly recommended!

Tasted like a rushed meal not very well prepared, meat was tough and curry sauce was quite thin and runny with not much taste to it.

Very upset I paid for rice and did not receive it with my order ,asked for replacement which has not arrived Bad Service

We ordered lemon rice, pilau rice, butter chicken, chicken tikka masalla, keema naan and onion bhaji’s. The onion bhajis were abit burnt and very greesy. Everything else was delicious…very fresh and hot and full of flavour and portion was a good amount that we couldnt even finish it

This was the absolute best Indian food ever! Everything tasted divine, the price was super affordable, and was made with great timing, they also have very good-sized portions and a large menu of tasty dishes you can choose from, I 100% recommend this place!

Great experience, as usual. I would have given 5 stars, but the bhajis were a little over-done and they are my favourite part of the meal. I would like them to be golden brown. Very tasty and would order it again, hoping that the bhajis would be a little less dry.

Ordered from here many times before but this time was not good. All food seemed to lack flavour. Very disappointing.

Restaurant very busy so food was late. Still delivered hot and fantastic flavours and taste as usual. Frustrating because as a return customer only the delay was a negative. Will try again in a few weeks, Fingers crossed things return to normal.

They're literally 5 minutes away the food was cold - I ordered over the minimum still charged for delivery not to mention the service charge which used to be included in the cost of the food - I ordered Chicken Biriyani usually it would have some vegetable and large chunks of chicken this was just biriyani flavoured rice with tiny bits of ripped up chicken I had to search for. The vegetable curry that comes with was just some basic frozen veg swimming in sauce. I'd also like to say that £2.40 for a plain Nan bread at least a third smaller than it used to be is made from flour and water is just plain wrong - I contacted the restaurant to complain and was told 'That's what Biriyani is' I said that's just not true the last one wasn't like that and was told I should contact Just Eat if I had a problem when I said 'This is your problem' he said I suggest you don't use us again and put the phone down. I won't be using them again after the way they responded

Tandoori chicken was more the size of a small pigeon. Papadoms were broken in pieces. The chicken dupiaze had a few pieces of chicken. All the rest was good.

Lovely delivery driver food hot paper bags dry no oil free poppadom and drink every one happy only comment I like spicy food so you may need to go up a gear otherwise excellent will definitely recommend and order again thanks Paul

Absolutely delicious. However delivery time went up from 45mins to up to an hour and a half after we ordered- it took an hour and 10. Wouldn’t have ordered if we had known it would take so long as had guests. The food was delicious though with generous portions!

I used to eat here years ago before Covid etc. They changed the chef ingredients reduced stopped using fresh corriander and dips. The chef doesn't seem to care the dish I had was generic if I hadn't known what I ordered I wouldn't have been able to tell. To charge nearly £3 for Nan bread which is smaller now is it seems par for the course. The ingredients are flour and water for the most part. One order I had was Chicken Madra's it could have been Vindaloo just hot no taste/flavour. When it was delivered the driver recognised me said 'Long time no see' I said yes, the food had gone way down hill I stopped using them years ago I said I was giving them another go ... he laughed

I ate regularly for years at this restaurant even before Covid the food went down hill I gave them lots of chances. Food tasted a lot more authentic the chefs were proud of what they produced. It went from hot, plentiful ingredients and extra's mint sauce (Didn't get it this time) Onion salad and a couple of popadums. Fresh corriander and lemon to today when it's okay Madras curry closer to Vindaloo without the flavour just hot tough chicken although slightly bigger pieces, though not that much of it swimming in sauce that was just hot. Not much flavour - I had Biryani which was greasy had some flavour but not a lot of chicken. I had two elderly popadum no extra's The vegetable curry at least didn't have sweetcorn mostly frozen veg (I remember when they were fresh apart from peas. So shrinkflasion lack of pride in the product. If the ingredients were as fresh as they could get it, if they put back what they took our (Corriander, Lemon, onion salad and real mint sauce and put back the deep flavours and stopped charging nearly £3 for a slice of bread (Nan) used a little less oil I'd not go anywhere else ...

Always outstanding curry from here arrives hot and always very tasty I never order from anywhere else thanks spice of India
