It seems that it used to be called Jade Garden Hotel. Have been visiting. But it was very old before, but now it has been renamed and renovated. Very clean and beautiful. Recommend the Thai chicken feet, as delicious as ever. The rest of the snacks are also good. It tasted just right when I ate it on the spot, but it was a bit salty when I took it home and took it home. So it's still a bit salty for the restaurant. recommend!

Service is great, and the staff are really accommodating with children too. The dim sum is good, but I don’t really care for much much of the rest of the menu. The soup in particular were a bit flavourless.

The only thing that pleased us about this restaurant was that there were free seats at 14.15. We were quickly seated and brought menus and water. The portions are tiny, the chicken soup with mushrooms was about half a glass, half of which was onions and carrots. Although the soup itself was delicious. Beef dumplings made a strange impression; the dough in them was separate from the meat and lay like a ribbon next to it. The portion is again tiny. The service was fast but unfriendly.

We were 3 , and asked to have a larger table, and were told it was reserved... No one ever showed, terrible customer service, never again

This restaurant has contracted the “rush out” syndrome. Meaning that before you even finish your meal, you’ll have a card reader in front of you. Obviously not paying service charge in these instances. For all restaurant managers: your customers are paying for an experience, not just the food.

Decent dim sum. Appalling service

My favourite chinese restaurant in London - previously called “jade garden”. Dim sum menu is extensive. Only 8 (fried/steam) dishes are vegan - so it can feel rather tedious. But there are plenty of other plant based dishes if you like spicy food or want to order something with rice or noodles. The service is super fast- the servers are helpful. The bathroom is very narrow and busy to get to and from. It is children friendly. Quietest time without queue is 12-12.40pm and after 3.30pm-5pm for dim sum menu. Menus are displayed in both chinese and English I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. The food is authentic and well cooked. The best dim sum location in China town. Not wheelchair friendly (definitely not - bathroom wise)

I heard that it's delicious at every restaurant, so I ordered the noodles thinking it would be delicious, but the Chinese vermicelli didn't have any seasoning, so I gave it a 3/5. The dim sum is so ridiculously delicious and this much for this price? Are you giving me this? Enough to do it. It's a shame that you can only order dim sum until 4:45, but next time I go for lunch, I'm going to just eat dim sum. Cheongfun is really crazy. I don’t know anything else, but this is the best!

This place is a scam. Went with my colleagues and just noticed that on the bill they charged gratuity TWICE! A total of £95 of SERVICE CHARGE on a £450 bill. They managed to do this by charging once on the actual bill and then again on the card bill where the gratuity was applied ON TOP of the total that already had a £44.90 gratuity included! Watch out for this scam, or better yet, choose another place! Robbery in broad daylight.

One of my go to place for dim sum in Chinatown. Usually service is pretty good but we sat upstairs, which we have trouble getting service. They are not cheap but dim sum is delicious. They can get busy on weekend lunch. Nearest Tube Station - Leicester Square + Piccadilly Circus. Street Parking can be tricky.

Fresh, delicious food and wide range of dishes available. Particularly enjoyed the roast duck, house special fried rice and charcoal lava bun (sweet). Some dim sum casings felt slightly thicker than to my liking but still good. Service was overall efficient but at times slow. Second visit same month, I recommend the house special fried rice and mapo tofu 😍

Came here the first time with my friend and we just had some home style food. I quite like the lamb with tofu stick and would recommend it. Service and dinning experience was nice. Overall a pleasant experience.

One of my favourite Chinese restaurants in London and I’ve tried quite a few. If you want to have something exquisite, try the Fried prawns with fruity sauce from the a la cart menu and the King prawn or beef cheung fun from the dim sum menu as starters. Won’t disappoint.

Well, Food was okay, but not more, seating, ambiente and service not good. We were a group of nine, first team mates had food and were already finished when the last ones got their dish.

We got the plain chong fun, chicken fried rice, spring rolls, kung pao chicken, and beef with green onion and chilis. Everything was very gold but we really loved the fried rice

Very very delicious!! The menu was too complicated and had no pictures, so I asked the staff for seafood rice noodles with soup, and it was really delicious. It was the best!!

The signature rice rolls have better barbecued pork flavor, the carrot cakes are generous but taste ordinary, and the steamed pork ribs with black bean sauce are very fresh. The food is generally good, the service is pretty good for London, the location is convenient, and the environment is clean and tidy.

Dim sum had very little filling and the casing was too thick. The fried rice was very bland. Some of the dim sum was cold. When we asked to remove the discretionary service from the bill, we were told this was not allowed. We were disappointed.

Dim sum was nice we got an array to share which was tasty and affordable. The waitress with the short hair was slightly short with us, but over all it was an enjoyable experience.

Ordered delivery and got food poisoning

I went to this restaurant with friends to have dim sum. The shrimp dumplings, BBQ pork buns, spare ribs, and sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaves were all delicious. The signature fried rice was very fragrant, and the black pepper beef was tender and authentic. We will definitely visit again.

This dim sum restaurant is well-known, and while visiting for the dim sum, we discovered their stir-fried dishes are also delicious. The black pepper beef was excellent, with the beef being exceptionally tender. The char siu and roast duck were well-marinated, with a crispy exterior and tender interior. The Cantonese dim sum is great no matter what you order, but I particularly recommend the prawn dumplings and the pearl chicken. We will definitely visit again.

Recommended Thai chicken feet, dry-fried beef river, and dry-pot chicken. The meat is very tender and the taste is no worse than at home. It's rare to encounter such good service in a European Cantonese restaurant. The waiter will take the initiative to make tea, ask about your needs, and introduce the dishes. I will definitely visit again when I go to London in the future!

I don’t really like Chinese food however I was in London china town and my friend told me that it would be ridiculous if we walked out of china town without trying the Chinese food. I didn’t have expectations even though my friend kept telling me that this restaurant has the best Chinese food. He was absolutely right! I just have no words! It was the best food I’ve had had! The prices were great and the staff was very nice and kind🥹 would definitely go there again!!!! 🥰🍜🍲

We didn't want a buffet style chinese, we wanted it cooked freshly so we chose Orient in China Town. The service was officiant and the staff were polite. The food came out quickly. The food was hot and tasty! Not bad prices considering it's in London! Would definitely come again. They do add a £5 service charge so we didn't leave a tip.

I really miss Cantonese dim sum so much, so I searched on Xiaohongshu and found this highly popular tea restaurant in London's Chinatown. It's not without reason that this restaurant is so popular: there's a wide variety of choices, the taste is excellent, and the prices are affordable. No wonder there's always a line outside during meal times.

I ordered shrimp dumplings, siomai, and barbecued pork buns, all of which are on par with domestic Cantonese cuisine! [Thai Style Boneless Chicken Feet] Sweet and sour, very appetizing, perfect as an appetizer [Curry Beef Brisket Pot] The beef is soft and delicious, the curry sauce is very rich, and it is a dish that goes well with rice. [Dry Fried Beef Fillet River] There is a lot of beef in it

The taste of Cantonese food is relatively authentic, the food is served very quickly, and the decoration environment is also good.

My favourite dim sum in town. I usually include less well known choices from: Duck tongue, chicken feet, turnip cake etc. Have introduced several friends over the years and they’ve returned with their friends.

Great place for a good Hong Kong style weekend yum cha

This is one of the best chee cheong fun I've had in London! It was super silky, smooth, and soft. The pork belly was crispy, though it loses its crispiness quickly, so eat it fast. The lava custard bun wasn't very "lava" but still enjoyable. However, the egg tarts were disappointing as they were cold and had a tough base. The other steamed dim sum tasted good, though not outstanding. The service was generally good, though one staff member could have been better.

The Chinese restaurant has an extensive menu. It was difficult to choose a dish. It was a chicken dish, beef with black pepper, beef with black bean sauce and a duck dish. They were delicious dishes!

Rotton. Food arrived in about 2 minutes, basically just microwaved. Tasteless, both me and my partner felt ill after eating it. Temperature of all dishes was different. Staff seemed to do everything in their power to rush you out.

As someone who dines out most nights and has done so in the last 4 weeks travelling this next to the larch at sky garden have both even met with a grave disappointment if you don't want to work don't let people walk in your doors. Very impolite and unethical staff there. They open late but a staff pushed customer queuing and closing umbrella to enter. And said very bad words. Absolutely no confidence on this restaurant what those unethical staff made for customers. Worse restaurant staff ever met in the world in this restaurant!

Food was ok. The seaweed was very very salty. The scallops with asparagus had no taste, completely bland. Singapore noodles were lovely and a huge portion. The rice was good and so was the sweet and sour chicken Cantonese style. Service was ok apart from one person who acted like he couldn’t be bothered with us. Great location, lots to see out of the window and ideal for Leicester Square/Piccadilly. Reasonably priced for where it is. I’d go there again.

The service is very good and the price-performance ratio is pretty good. For snacks, I highly recommend the black pepper chicken feet (salty and slightly spicy), steamed siomai with crab roe (fresh!), and the Thai boneless chicken feet are also delicious, spicy and sour to appetize. There are three types of siu mei, suitable for those who have difficulty choosing!

There are many choices for Dim Sum lunch in this area. Orient is a winner. Traditional dim sum, all fresh and a wide variety. The restaurant is really nice with an upscale feel. Prices are very reasonable. Service was excellent.

We visited the restaurant last weekend for dim sum to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary. The food was wonderful, I actually forgot to take pics to include with the review. The restaurant is v well located by one of the arches in China town. The staff were v helpful and pleasant. I will definitely visit again.

I have eaten regularly here for 5 years and they have vastly reduced the quality to save money I.e. Less fish/meat - more vegetables. The meal was vastly overpriced at £80 per head. The waiter then asked to add a tip when service was already included. When I said no I was treated to an exhibition of dim insolence. I won't go again.

In fact, I came here to eat Yangzhi Manna. Personally, I think it tastes good, but my friend thought it was too sweet. The other dishes were also great!

Probably the worst dim sum I’ve had ever (and I’ve had dim sum all my life growing up). Skins of steamed dumplings are way too thick. The turnip cake didn’t have the Chinese sausage/shrimp I’d expect - just very starchy. The fried items were way too oily. There were probably a few dishes which were ok (hence two stars) but I felt sick at how heavy this all felt after eating. No amount of Chinese tea was helping it go down. Definitely more miss dishes than hit. Tried 13 different ones. Service was super fast, which makes me question how fresh everything is. But first and last time I’d go for dim sum here.

We really enjoyed our meal and the service. We selected one of the pre-selected meals, so all of the courses came out to us automatically. It was a great option since we were not sure what to get, and everything turned out to be great. Beyond the food, the service was very quick, and multiple servers came and went to ensure our plates were cleared promptly and our next course was ready as soon as we were.

If you’re a fan of dim sum, this restaurant is a great place to visit :)

I had a really horrible experience here. I came here for a friend's birthday who was running late. When I arrived a man came over to me and I told him why I was here. He proceeded to shout at me telling me he told 'the girl on the phone' that everyone needs to be here at x time or we won't get seated. He then asked me if everyone else was here. To which I said I didn't know. (I came for a birthday dinner and didn't know anyone else going). He then told me to wait outside and closed the glass door and tended to his guests inside. As a potential guest I feel I was treated poorly. Just because everyone else was late, I was on time. So why am I being shouted at? Why am I being left outside in the cold? They couldn't even offer me a seat or anything of the sort. I only came here for my friend. For a restaurant with a 3* hygiene rating, I don't think it was worth all the trouble. After waiting for 20+ minutes. I eventually left. My friend eventually arrived and spoke about mistreatment but I was not there by that point. I will not be returning.

Good service. Dim Sum was very good. Most of the dishes were more hit than miss. Service was very quick and attentive. Some of the dishes were more flavoursome and larger than other dim sum places. Good value for money. Definitely recommend the squid cakes, vietnamese spring roles, taro croquette and a few more. These dishes might have different names on the receipt though. I was scratching my head for a few of the items, but the number of items seems correct.

When it came to the service, you had the feeling that she would much rather serve Asian guests than Europeans. The food came quickly but it tasted okay. The price-performance ratio is rather poor. After we had eaten and the table was cleared, the bill was brought to the table without asking. I guess that was a sign that we weren't that welcome. I never write reviews but this truly was the most disappointing place we ate at during our week in London. We spend 56£ for fried noodles with bean sprouts, fried vegetables, 4 fried dim sum dumplings and 3 steamed dim sum + 2 diet cokes and a glass of wine) The dim sum were okay. Not show stopping but alright. Definitly the best thing about the meal. The fried noodles however tasted like nothing but soy sauce and were super oily. Same goes for the vegetables. Everything tasted bland, boring and oily and left a bad, oily after taste in our mouth after the meal. The food arrived super fast but I think thats because it was reheated/fried again and not cooked fresh. The noodles were a pretty big portion, which really was the only good thing about them. Overall, the food tasted like a cheap buffet and we expected much more after reading the reviewes and seeing the location. The restaurant itself looked nice enough but the food left us very disappointed. You can definitely get way better for cheaper in chinatown.

We order, we ask for information regarding the menu if everything had arrived and from there, shameful behavior on the part of all the waiters. They quickly take away our dishes, clean up, quickly give us the bill and immediately come to ask for payment. Absurd. Specifically, it was 10pm. The place closed at 11pm. Never again. Among other things, nothing special in terms of quality.

I ate steel wool balls after eating Fengzhao. After returning home, my friend and I suffered from vomiting and diarrhea. I shared the food I packed home with my roommates, who also kept having diarrhea. Food hygiene is not in place.

The Dim Sum was pretty good but not the best. The prices are higher than the ones advertised outside the door. The soup dumplings and fried turnip was good. But the Cha Su Bao was pretty average.

The only few Chinese restaurants open at Christmas Day; having the massively popular ones closed. This one seemed rated decently - 4 stars and I agree to the overall rating. While the food was a bit of a hit and miss (as what the previous reviewer said) - the shredded beef was very good, the veg was OK, the duck was a bit bland and lacking that typical Hongkong style flavor. Service was ok; just that they seem to rush us for everything, rush for order, rush to pay, rush to clear out. Recommended, but if there are better places (eg, the popular ones which service is equally rushed but the food is better) then go to those.
