Spice in Lisburn

We had just flown into Northern Ireland (Belfast) from the US and was looking for a place to eat. It was 8PM, so many places were closed. We were actually looking for a different restaurant when we drove past Spice. The wonderful aroma from Spice beckoned us to go in and give it a try. It was 8:30 (20:30) by then, and the restaurant closed at 9:00, but the staff there welcomed us with smiles and friendly service. Also, the food was fantastic! I am so glad that we stopped and tried this restaurant! I would rate it a 5/5 stars. (I wish I had taken pictures of the food, but being so late, we are quickly so the staff could go home.)

5**** rating. We received a warm welcome, excellent customer service & delicious food. We are almost becoming regulars at this place. Staff remembered us from the last time and gave us tips on how to make one of their amazing cocktails! Such a great bunch.

Don't be fooled by the nice look of the entrance. I had dinner tonight garlic mushrooms for starter and chicken jalfrezi for main. Both dishes had little flavour and the chicken was extremely tough. The chips were the best bit. I have had better supermarket dishes heated in the microwave. Disappointing!

Celebrated my son’s birthday here tonight. Food was good and staff very attentive however it was ridiculously overpriced. Were charged for poppadoms and each curry with rice was £22.50. All together charged £131 for 4 mains with rice, popadoms, 2 naans and 4 drinks. Rip off!

Once again Ricky and his team excelled themselves as the service was superb and the food glorious. My wife and I had different dishes as mains and the flavours were second to none. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a visit to this restaurant - you will not be disappointed.

Went for dinner tonight with my friend. Staff where very friendly. Ved was our waiter who was very friendly & had a laugh with us. Food was quick and tasted amazing. Cocktails where lovely also Very good atmosphere

Best Indian restaurant about. Service perfect. Ved looked after everything and a great time had by everyone. Order the Des Masala, it's the ticket.

My family and I had a beautiful meal on a quiet Monday night in what is usually a very busy restaurant towards end of week and weekends. We were served by Ricky who was amazing and incredibly friendly. I had Salmon Tikka for starter and Chicken Shasnik for main. The food was cooked to perfection and was immaculately seasoned, all washed down with a perfectly poured, crisp pint of Cobra. If you haven’t yet tried Spice in Lisburn, I cannot recommend it enough! 10/10!

Another amazing dinner at Spice Lisburn! We were celebrating our wedding anniversary early as hubby is away next week. We hadn't been to the restaurant since August last year but we were welcomed as if we'd been there last week. Everyone is so friendly and kind. I'm so glad we booked our table earlier in the week because the place was bunged! Not only small tables (couples) but there were several large family/friend group tables. Some restaurants can go into panic mode when they have a full house. And no wonder this restaurant is buzzing, the food, service and atmosphere here is second to none. Although very busy, the staff were relaxed and working like a well oiled machine, letting us take time over the drinks and food menus, no rushing service to get you in, fed, paid and out so they get more bums on seats (as quite a few restaurants do). Usual bottle of Shiraz and P.Grigio ordered, gave food order after a relaxing sip (or three) and starter of Onion Bhaji to share was promptly delivered. After a short 'break' our mains arrived. Hubby had Black King Prawn Korma, I had Chicken Pasanda (requested taking it from mild to medium🌶️🌶️) a shared Pilau rice and Peshawar nan. The food, as usual, was excellent. Hot, tasty and plenty of it (the extra chilli in my Pasanda added the perfect little kick). Hubby said the King Prawns tasted really fresh and succulent, and again, plenty of them. Not only is the food superb, the attentive but relaxed and unobtrusive service by all staff is exceptional. In all honesty, I believe the prices of food and especially the wine is very reasonable for the quality, quantity and service provided. 100%. On a quick personal note..on Leap Years Day, Feb 1984 I proposed to my then boyfriend and after almost 40 years of marriage he arranged to 'propose' to me in the restaurant after dinner! Shocked but delighted .. and I did say "Yes". At this point I would like to thank the Spice Team for their amazing gift of boxed champagne and flute set to celebrate our happy occasion and we are both truely touched by your kindness and generosity. Looking forward to our next visit in the near future. Continued success to your restaurant and our heartfelt thanks for a wonderful night.

Lots of menu items, food did not have the typical Indian greasy and fatty options, unique items and excellent presentation. The stunning ambiance adds a beautiful touch to the dining experience. The wait staff especially Ved was very polite and eager to make suggestions.

Been using Spice for years so time I left a review. All I can say is visiting Spice is a fantastic experience. Food is excellent and all staff so friendly and helpful. Had a birthday bash with 18 there and it went so well.

Beautiful food but expensive - rice not included however the food was very good. Children's meal was 12.95 for chicken and chips and one scoop of ice cream - over priced massively. Poppadoms were nearly £8 - never been charged this amount in any Indian...

First, I'd like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at Spice for making my birthday so very special. They went out of their way they really did. I would have gave the food 5 stars.⭐ My only criticism is that I found the lamb a bit tough just a bit. A little more cooking time? I feel it necessary to be honest as it's such an amazing place to go out for a delicious 😋 Indian meal. We will definitely be going back. We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this amazing establishment. Great job Mr Boss man, Vad and all the other staff!

When I meet up with my mates for a night out in Lisburn this restaurant is always top of our list & has been for many years! The great indian food, pleasant surroundings & welcoming staff all combine to make the meal a most enjoyable...

Just wanted to say I ordered the lamb biryani and salmon tikka & it was so delicious!! The flavours were incredible especially in the lamb biryani. Very happy and highly recommend these two dishes :)

I work over in Northern Ireland every 3 to 4 weeks, and discovered this Restaurant whilst over, and am I glad I did. The flavours are out of this world, and I am a big Indian food fan, having dined at hundreds of restaurants over...

Phoned through an order for collection. Told it would be ready for 7pm. Turned up and wasn't ready. Customers arrived for pick ups at 7.15 & 7.30 and got their orders first. Eventually at 7.40 my order arrived. Shocking service. No explanation given.

Found the food good but usual Indian selection. Disappointed with the bhajis Also used the takeaway quite expensive

Our little group of friends has been dining at Spice Lisburn for many years on Boys Nights Out. Food is always excellent; none better, while service is always also efficient and friendly.

This is our regular venue when we meet up for a movie night. While some dishes are a firm favourite I do like to try new dishes, the food is always excellent. Service is faultless and very friendly. A great way to start an evening...

Had an excellent meal this evening. The Laal maans was new to me and was very enjoyable. The service was particularly good. Well worth a visit.

Fantastic overall. Being an Indian getting very close to Indian food is awesome as most of other restaurants don't do that. Staff is very welcoming specifically Ved Prakash. He always makes us very comfortable and gets food tailored to our choices l.

Food was bland no flavour. Chips crispy no taste tried a sauce with them still no flavour. It’s overpriced and the service was terrible waited 50minutes on food said their card machine was broken what’s that got to do with the kitchen?? Was served popadoms and dips (we never asked for them or told they would be added to the bill) it’s poor now since covid

Just a rip of for kids. £17 for frozen kids meal and extra scoop of very small cheap ice cream. Apart from that food is good but you can't justify that tbh.

A real taste of indian spice and please go for mild if you are really into spices its as per indian taste in terms of spice so you might over do it. And thanks to Ricky Singh and team for the everlasting experience.

Had a very harty meal this evening, Food was brilliant (karahi chicken) cooked very well with a lovely moderate spicy gravy. The dip tray and poppadoms are must have here as they were so fresh and aromatic. Service was really quick and great thanks everybody. They also do halal chicken, lamb and no alcoholic drinks.

Samosa’s were amazing and tasted homemade, unfortunately the mains were Msg filled-bright red tasteless and awful. We threw it out. Spice was incredible a few years ago and now it tastes like any other place that cuts corners and doesn’t care. £50 for two sides two mains and rice , too expensive for what we got. Shame. Won’t be returning.

Quite possibly the most flavoursome Indian i have had in quite some time.. The portion sizes were just right to make you feel completely filled by the time you had finished everything.. I had the Chicken Baharri (Madras Hot) with Pilau Rice and Chilli Naan, and the other half had Chicken Korma, Pilau Rice & Peshwari Naan.. Thoroughly Enjoyed Every Bite Of It.. Will Definitely Be Back!!

The food is amazing, my jalfrezi was spicey and very flavoursome. Staff are also very attentive and friendly.

Spice restaurant on the 1st floor of the building. It had excellent food and the service was good. The curries were really good. They were very helpful with the small children we had with us...children's menu provided with option for those who aren't fans of spicier foods.

Food and staff both exceptional. The menu is huge but our waiter was happy to talk through it and make recommendations. I settled on the mixed grill which included naan and vegetable curry. It was absolutely delicious and some of the best Indian food I have eaten. Although expensive, the food, staff and atmosphere made it worth it.

A lot of people visiting and a lot of different dishes. Everything was on point, really good. Only criticism is more sundries need to be supplied with poppadoms.

Had from here for the first time last week and just ordered again tonight, by far the nicest Indian takeaway I've ever had puts all the rest to shame

Food here was very nice, however, the prices in restaurant were dearer than advertised online. The sit-in menu online has the prices set at £12.95 for traditional main dish whereas it was actually £14.95. Would have went elsewhere had I known the actual prices.
