What a wonderful diner! Excellent service and exceptional food. We were welcomed late in the date with an enthusiastic “Yes!” when we asked if they were still open. Nothing was too much trouble and we spent a long time chatting to the lovely mother and daughter team - sorry for my husband’s constant stories 🤣 The Rocky Road was homemade and to die for! Thank you for a lovely experience.

Amazing food and fantastic friendly service. The staff are so polite and helpful. Cannot recommend highly enough. They even put a candle on the hotdog to surprise our granddaughter when they heard it was her birthday

pleasant surprise to find this tucked away betwen Chepstow and Lydney. If you come here- check out the Krazy golf which orms part of this business and the crafts next door. Also the carboot sale a mile back towards Chepstow which operates on a Sunday. Add to that the recreation - cycling hire in Lydney and the steam train at Parkend! As for this eatery- its a homage to the American Diner. They use REAL locally sourced beef and it coms within a quality bread roll and a onion conserve side which is delicious. Great service by the way! We had a dog so had it outside where its nice vista. Inside is all the Americana you woudl expect and more in an American Diner! Fabulous set up- deserves a morning. Can't think of a better place for a family to spend a few hours. The golf course looked amazing! Its all reasonably priced- too low in my opinion. Defintely will come back soon! I understand it is open 10-4 Thursday through to Sunday!

Visited with my husband, son and dog today. The staff were super friendly, smiley and courteous, and went out of their way to provide an excellent service, including a free homemade chutney with the burger and checking that (because of choosing a couple of vegan options) if we wanted the vegan mayonnaise or ice cream when asked for. (We aren’t vegan [vegetarian] but prefer these options if they are available on a menu. Glad to see that for a small establishment they had some good choices.) They also moved a table over to give us more room to spread out. Nothing was too much trouble. That extra mileage makes such a difference, to a dining experience. The same compliment extends to the gentleman running the Krazy Golf next door. Cheerful and helpful. Thank you all!

We came to Lydney on a Tuesday last year, the day Sparky's is closed, so vowed to come on a different day this time. We received a warm welcome, with the staff eager to explain their Covid-19 changes- hand sanitiser, distanced tables, track and trace details to be taken (and how that information is stored), and chose our burgers. You can have a 4oz or 8oz option, at a very reasonable £4.50 or £7 starting price, then add your options from a wide range. We added, between us, bacon, cheese, mushroom and hash brown, all of which were delicious. Something I would say is that the 8oz burger is actually two 4oz patties stacked, so you can easily end up with a towering burger which is actually quite difficult to eat! The beef itself is locally- sourced and very tasty. The standard rolls are crisp sourdough, though gluten-free ciabatta is available on request. The condiments came out in small bowls upon request, so no waste, and the straws are paper. Recommended.

Visited today as a family of 6 for our son's 14th Birthday and we couldn't fault it. Brilliant value, local meat and fantastic service. They went above and beyond and were friendly and helpful, staying past closing time for us. The food was lovely and the Birthday touches were really appreciated. Would definitely recommend and will be back.

We called in after a fun time in Krazy golf next door. We ordered burgers with various toppings, skin on fries and homemade soup. All was delicious. Loved that they use local free range meat for the burgers. Lots of choice on the menu and freshly cooked. There were games available to keep the kids entertained while we waited. Prices were reasonable for the quality. If we lived nearer we would be calling in often but we were just passing through. Well worth a visit.

I love this diner! We went to Lydney Krazy Golf yesterday and also visited this diner, which is on the same site. Had a scrumptious breakfast bagel and some super delicious ice creams and shakes later on and some perfect coffees as well! The diner has a classic diner menu - burgers and fries - and what you really need to know is that it is all homemade... local meat goes into the homemade burgers and as well as regular meat burgers, they home-make veggie and vegan burgers too, so a wide range of tastes are catered forThe ice creams were lovely and mango sorbet was a great vegan optionsThe coffee was great - enjoyed latte, cappuccino and americano between us :) The diner is beautifully decorated with American memorabilia - lots based around Route 66. It's so nicely done. The tables and chairs/stools are gorgeous too - handmade and painted with USA flags! At the other end to the entrance, the decoration honours the First Nation It's great value too. Got a HUGE shake for £2.00 and coffees were only about £1.75/£2.00 tooThis is such a great place - don't miss it! Go in and see the gorgeously done venue and try and absolutely delicious food made by the wonderful staff.... you will be in for an absolute treat!!Would return again with family/as a couple

Ordered 2 meal box's containing topped chips and a burger, burger was pretty nice but wasn't really very hot and was like it had been sat around for a while before it being delivered, chips were honestly stone cold and hard, also some chips had no seasoning and others were extremely salty. Wouldn't recommend again as he deletes negative feedback from Facebook.

First time to this restaurant, we went in on a Saturday lunchtime, we both had food from the build a burger menu and I must say it was very enjoyable! I upgraded to loaded chips, I wasn't keen on the chips (the cheese, bacon and spring onions were lovely) I prefer fries though but that is obviously a personal preference. The part we were sat in felt quite dark, the walls and ceiling were painted a dark blue, not sure if this is intentional, but would be nice if it was lighter. Overall I would recommend this restaurant, both our burgers were really good and if we come again I would like to try from their build a shake menu!
