Souvlike It in Barnet

Souvlaki It in High Barnet is hands down my favorite place to order food. The quality is always amazing, and their dishes never disappoint. My personal favorite is the Philadelphia-stuffed bifteki—it’s absolutely delicious! What makes them stand out even more is the thoughtful gesture of occasionally adding pastries as a gift with my order. It’s such a nice surprise and really shows how much they value their customers. It’s little touches like this that make the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend them for anyone looking for great food and excellent service!

It was our first time to try Greek food. We just live close by and decided to give it a try since they has a lot of good reviews. We ordered portions of pork gyros and souvlaki. We were not disappointed and exceeded our expectations. They had good portions for the regular size at a very good price. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back to try their other food on the menu.

Extraordinarily friendly. Very good service. Although it is considered fast food, it has very good quality, fresh and tasty ingredients. Their roast chicken is very good. I advise. 👍🏻

Stopped by for lunch in the middle of a LOOP walk - food was absolutely delicious, freshly cooked, well seasoned, huge portions. The tzatziki was incredible, I could have eaten a bowl of that by itself. The lovely woman behind the counter helped me choose what to have (fresh grilled veg with all the sides , and saganaki cheese) and I'm very glad I listened to her. She also offered us a free plate of pita and dips while we waited for our food to be cooked. Loads of great options for vegetarians and vegans. Will be back!

What an unexpected find on the edges of Barnet. We ordered grilled chicken and lamb chops which arrived in large portions and were absolutely delicious. We ordered humus but a plate of humus, taramasalata and tzatziki arrived with the best fresh grilled pita bread. This is a highly recommended spot. Very friendly service. 👍😊

A great place to have a Greek meal, very clean and cozy place, staff was very polite and willing to help. Food was amazing, the best was at the end, don’t forget to try a dessert! I recommend Portokalopita!

The best Souvlaki in London! The seasoned meat is cooked to perfection and complimented beautifully by the fresh, crisp vegetables. Between the generous portions and prompt, friendly service would definitely recommend!

Great food and lovely staff, only reason it's not 5* is that for some reason the meal deal is only for meat dishes. I don't really understand why, when the vegetarian dishes are cheaper, so if you could update the meal deal to include vegeterian options then I'll change this to 5* :)

First time coming to this place, firstly the staff were all very friendly. Especially the lovely girl who took my order, she made some good recommendations which I will definitely be trying next time but I got the lamb souvlaki which was absolutely lush. Lamb was cooked well, It was succulent and flavoursome. The bread was nice and soft and the salad was fresh. Hints of garlic and dill in the sauce and all around very well balanced and satisfying meal, will definitely be returning :))

I went to eat there one time and a warm atmosphere lured me in, a kind lady with blonde hair welcomed me to the restaurant. food was 10/10 I savoured every bite definitely coming back.

We love this Greek restaurant because in addition to the quality of the dishes there is also a good quality-price ratio. The atmosphere is very warm, the lady who ran the place was very kind, at first I was very skeptical because as a vegetarian I thought I wouldn't find many options but I can say that the vegetarian options are really delicious!! It's one of my favorite place,I will definitely be back!! 10/10

I was there like 3 days ago to take few souvlaki for my workers i was there in a midday and there is a woman with a short hair she was very rude with the costumers I was waiting for so long she was alone talking on the phone and laughing and the food was burnt dosent even taste at all!!

very tasty and friendly service

I have been a customer there for over five years. It was the closest to the souvlaki from back home. I hadn’t ordered for a while, so today I placed an order and was disappointed. I ended up throwing away most of the food. I called them, and they said that management has changed and they have altered all the items. It is a shame to sacrifice quality in favour of making more money, but losing customers will cost them more in the long run.

Wonderful service, the souvlakis were insanely good. I had a problem with deliveroo and my order was cancelled, but a really kind lady called me and helped me with it. She even sent a sweet (a bougatsa, I think) which was one of the best things I ever had! It instantly brightened and sweetned my day. The service was excellent, I am ashamed that I haven't ordered from this place since I passed through it many times. The souvlakis were SUPERB (just fantastic, super well seasoned and savoury meat), I will definitely order again. I still think about it days after the order 😂 Please do order from this place again. A rare jewel in Barnet!

Every time I order the order is always wrong food cold and soggy!!wrong sauces on food and ordered bottles of Fanta and get cans!! Try to call and can’t even get through to anyone

The food used to be really good and I was a regular customer, but for the last 3 orders, this one included, the lamb was so chewy that I couldn’t eat it. Very disappointing.

I visited this restaurant when it first opened. The food was delicious and fresh. The staff are always warm and friendly. It became a treat when I was in the area. Last week, I ordered a mixed gyros box with salad, pitta and tsatziki. The meat, pitta and bonus fries were delicious as usual. Unfortunately, the salad was brown and slimy, and the tsatziki just tasted like mayonnaise.

just purchased filo pastries, one spinach one feta, lady working there really amazing, friendly, helpful, pastries are both fantastic... will defo return again... nornally buy special skepasti in here and it's always great, but will buy more of the filo thingie in here also... 100% great service.. m

I recently visited Souvlike It in Barnet and was blown away by the delicious and fresh food they served! I am really dissapointed to have to give a one star review overall for this establishment. I always review not on mistakes, but on how an establishment handles mistakes. My grown up children have been ordering from Souvlike It for a long time. I never have. On Sat 3rd Feb my eldest son was at my house and wanted to order as he now lives in Stevenage so cannot very often. I decided to try the spinach and cheese mini rolls. When the order was delivered the spinach and chees mini rolls were not included. My son called and a lady said she could we come and collect (no, because negates the point of a delivery), was told they couldn't refund over the telephone. As I was going to be in Barnet on Monday I said I would just pop in and the lady said it was fine. My son had ordered the cheese and spinach pie so gave me that instead. It was delicious, but halfway through there was a tiny piece of something like a very think twig. I visited the shop today to get the refund for the missing mini rolls and this is where everything went wrong. I was basically shouted at by a greek shorted haired blonde lady and told that the mini rolls where 100 per cent delivered to my house (they 100 per cent were not), and I had to ask her not to shout at me. It was a pretty horrible experience which means that they have lost custom from me. Eventually this lady gave me a refund in 50 pence pieces!! Spiteful. I cannot fault their food (the thing I found was a one off I am sure because it has never happened to my kids, and I actually would have ordered it again because it was delicious, well the half I ate. However, having experienced such customer service I will never order from them again, and neither will my children. And they can't be 100 per cent sure they get their orders right as my son ordered from them last week and he received something extra, some cheese and ham thing, which was no doubt a mistake and I suspect someone else didn't get everything that they ordered!

This is my second time coming to this place it has an absolutely incredible atmosphere and lovely service food is incredibly tasty and very good priced highly recommend trying this place in the heart of High Barnet

The food was okay. Like the other reviews say- the prices are extortionate for the portion sizes £19.40 for a ‘premium chicken kebab’ but it was no different to the ordinary. 3 skewers of chicken, a few chips and some pitta. Couldn’t eat the salad as it was brown and watery. Prices are far too high for average food. I won’t be ordering again for that reason

I ordered a large pork gyros, I feel scammed to be honest, I spent 20,5£ for it and honestly inside the box it came with there was gyros, pita and some chips. The chips were absolutely awful, the pita was ok and the gyros was below average however the portion was really small, in fact not enough for one person. On top of the not so tasty and soggy food they threw a lemon inside the box which has given the whole food a weird taste. Its not normal to spend 20,5£ for a portion of fast food that isnt even good. Normal price for this should not exceed 12£. I am generous giving 2 starts.

The owner was extremely friendly and caring. The chef was amazing and the food was even better. We came for some gyros and tried some desserts as well. Both were delicious and the fries were awesome too. Cannot recommend this place enough! 10/5 ⭐️!

I've been waiting for this place to reopen for a couple years now. It was well worth the wait, another great addition to the many great eateries in Barnet.

Simply wonderful spanakopita. I was waiting for the bus outside this restaurant and was tempted by the spanakopita in the shop window which caught my eye. I went in and was served by two really friendly and welcoming members of staff and the spanakopita was one of the best I have tasted. Yes I did souvlike it.

Eaten here multiple times. Food and service is consistently great, never had any complaints.

Staff are nice The meat is tasteless- I had to use a ton of salt. No crispiness or flavour. Also the meet is dry and taken out of hot storage - it looks and taste as you can imagine - I had no idea you can achieve that soggy look and compliment it with tastelessness. They did have the kebab at the heat but it was for only show. I had a drink to try and help me swallow but it did not help with the dryness. The souse was there but it was tasteless and did not help 1% with the dryness. I am talking about the famous tatziki souse which is impossible to mess up- well done. I think its a good take away for people who have only had the joy of experiencing Limited choice of cuisine all their life and have nothing to compare this wrap too. Completely open door on a nasty day outside and delivery men walking in constantly - so dont think you can even sit . Giving 1 star because I cant give 0.

This was my first visit, and I loved it. Immaculately clean and friendly staff. Lovely fresh meat and salad and bread that I assume was homemade. But the star of the show was the Tzatziki. It was the best I have ever tasted (and I have had a lot). Its a cafe, and only a couple of other customers, so it for the food not the atmosphere. Next time I will ask for the Tzatziki recipe.
