Excellent Food and Friendly Service I stopped by Durum Ocakbasi to pick up a lamb kebab on my way home, and I was really impressed by both the food and the service. The staff were very friendly and served me with a warm smile, which made me feel welcome right away. While I waited for my order, they even offered me a cup of Turkish tea — a lovely gesture that added a personal touch to the experience. The food was fresh, delicious, and clearly made with care. It’s not just the great taste that will bring me back, but also the warm and genuine hospitality. Highly recommended!

My parents first took my brother and I here when we were children almost 25 years ago. It remains as good today as it was back then. The best Turkish restaurant in London. Dürüm is the best Turkish restaurant in the whole of NW London. The quality of the food is superior to anything else I’ve tried. The staff are always friendly and it’s always a pleasure to visit!!

This is one of my favourite restaurants in London and everytime I go the food and service are outstanding! I highly recommend this to everyone as traditional Turkish food. Some of my personal favourites on the menu are Ezmeli Kebap and spicy chicken wings. They also do platters perfect for sharing!

I love Durum. I’ve been coming here for about 17 years. The standards never drop. The food is superb and beautifully presented by a very professional team. My particular favourite is the Aubergine Kebab but I’ve tasted everything on the menu and it’s all superb. It’s one of the most consistently excellent places I’ve been to and I’ll be coming back again and again for many years to come. Book a table now and enjoy every minute!!!

Although the food is nice please note that the chicken shish has 4 bits of chicken and doesn’t even come with rice. (But does bread) it’s not good value for money and the small is not at all an acceptable portion for an adult:

To get straight to the point, the portion sizes are not worth value for money. I ordered a mixed shish for over £20 and as you can see there was hardly any meat and the rice quality was small too. Flavour was ok but it was pretty standard. I think there are places elsewhere in Finchley that represent better value for money when it comes to both portion size and flavour.

I've been a customer for over 20 years. The food and service not only are they of the highest standard, they've retained the same standard throughout the years. Everything from the starters, to the mains, the salads and the bread are very carefully and lovingly prepared, by people that know their craft. Substantial quantities and great quality, complimented by extraordinary service make the dining experience at Durum second to none. The staff is always polite, efficient and professional, friendly and welcoming. Many of them have been there for many years, which is a testament to their skills. The same standard is reciprocated in their takeaway. If you want honest food that's great value for money, this place cannot be missed.
