Dee Dee Thai Food in Barnet

I recently dined at Dee Dee Thai in High Barnet, and it was a fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, the cozy and welcoming ambiance set the perfect tone for an authentic Thai meal. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. I love that Fried Tofu menu, papaya salad and Larb.

Was craving for some Asian food in Barnet. Dee Dee came up on our search. We were definitely not disappointed. The food was delicious and authentic, just like those you have in Thailand. Very good service and attention to detail. Worth every penny we paid. Average spent was 20 pounds per pax. We were very happy. Will come back again. This is highly recommended. Ps. Spartan room, but awesome food!

I’m not usually the greatest lover of Thai curries but the Thai Green Curry here is amazing. I usually find them too sweet but this one had a nice balance and a good bit of spice. Singapore noodles were the best I’ve had from anywhere.

spent a lot of money (£68) for very oily food. do not order the soft shell crab, it is dripping in oil and tasteless. do not order the heaven fried rice is is so oily. i never write reviews, but i am so disappointed in the quality of the food and how much i paid.

I am new to Barnet, just moved here and found this place, it was supposed to be take away on our first night in our new home, we changed our minds and are in, they re-cooked all the food so it was piping hot for us. So sweet, food was incredible, staff are lovely! I highly recommend and this will be our go-to Thai place. Worth every penny. 🙌🏽🤍

I live locally and although I have walked past Dee Dee many times, it was only after reading these glowing reviews that I was tempted to try it. From the street, the restaurant looks perhaps a little empty and uninviting (despite being very clean), but don't let that put you off. Me and my work colleagues were not disappointed - very generous portions at a reasonable price. I can recommend the delicious sea bass - the two fillets were easily enough for two to share. Will be back

Great food and caring and attentive service

The food is very authentic and yummy.

Since Thai cuisine is our favourite and we ordered few dishes, I must say all of them were absolutely delicious and a true authentic ingredients and flavours. I would recommend for a big group to try this restaurant as it has got lot of space and the service is excellent and very good value for money.

Beautiful food. Amazing flavours. Dined out in many Thai restaurants but this is one of the best. We did had to wait abit for our food, as their was only one person serving. The atmosphere was tranquil, and seating well spaced out. This one is a definite gem one we will return to.

This place is totally underrated! We have explored many Thai places but had the best Pad Thai of london here.They have a pad Thai speciality dish just ask for that than the regular one. We loved the friendly service plus they have a set menu even for weekends!! We ordered stir fry basil preparation from this The valentines decoration really touched our hearts. We will definitely visit here again.

My husband and I ordered a takeout twice and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. Not only did it arrive piping hot but every dish was divinely delicious 😋 We order takeout often and I have to say this is the best we’ve ever had!

Excellent. The service was very friendly and the food was excellent. The salt and pepper squid was particularly good, super fresh batter and the right amount of seasoning. I will definitely be returning the next time I am in the area. Very happy to box up what I hadn’t eaten to take away with me.

Our family had a large Christmas gathering at Dee Dee. The staff were friendly and welcoming and we really enjoyed ourselves. Definitely recommended! The restaurant was a recommendation from a friend who said that, whilst the decor is a little sparse, the food and service is excellent. And how right they were, especially about the latter two! The food is delicious and plentiful and everything was freshly cooked. I had soft-shell crab to start followed by weeping tiger and jasmine rice. The size of the portions was perfect, and both were very (very!) tasty. Others had curries or stir fries and again reports were very positive. The wine wasn’t terrible but not that good, which is the only criticism I can make on the food or drink. As for the decor, it does feel a little ‘vacant’ (think empty sofa show room - haha!) but they have clearly made an effort to put little touches here and there. Just a few more things or perhaps partitions between tables to create a little intimacy, would be good. That said, for 13 of us, we had tonnes of room and loved it. Thanks Dee Dee!

Despite being on the high street, DeeDee is real hidden gem, worth discovering with absolutely fantastic food, really authentic in taste with fresh ingredients. Service was very quick with very friendly and accommodating staff.

Went for a birthday meal for my mum and they were so wonderful. They had put up happy birthday signs and balloons without us knowing! The staff, teddy was amazing and made the night especially special! The food was divine! Would definitely come back again and highly recommend!!

Great take away delivery in Barnet. It’s not cheap but probably the best Thai delivery in HB. Expensive but worth it when you want a thai treat.

Visited this spacious and nicely decorated restaurant for lunch. Had "Pad Mee Hokkien" and "Stir fried chicken", which are both very tasty. Friendly staff and relaxing music. Will definitely come again and recommend it!

Good is great! Super tasty. The place itself is not in good condition, but the food is delicious. I would recommend to order for it takeaways and if you are big groups that just want to have enough room for you, to seat and dine in.

I've had food from here numerous times before but this was my first sit in and it was pleasurable! The guy that served us was amazing, very friendly but yet professional. His meal recommendations were spot on as we were spoilt for choice. I was too hungry to remember to take photos of all the meals, sorry but I'm looking forward to going back already.

Don’t be put off by the lack of decor in this restaurant. The food is authentic Thai and absolutely delicious. The staff are so friendly and can’t do enough for you. We will be telling all our friends and family about it.

We had a lovely family meal here yesterday. Food was delicious- some more unusual dishes in the menu - and portions were large. Good range of vegan/vegetarian options. Service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend and would go back.

The food was 1st class but get rid if all the artificial flowers they are so old fashioned just one orchid in a thin vase and some paintings on the walls, no artificial flowers needed.

I love this Thai restaurant. I’ve ordered from here a few times through delivery and eaten in twice. It’s always been very good and very authentic Thai. My favorite dish here is the crab fried rice and the papaya salad

Some of the best Thai food about! Curries are traditional and yummy! The place needs a little love in terms of decor, it's quite large and tables are very spread out - it echoes throughout. Maybe some plants and mood lighting. But go for the food! We went for dinner - but the lunch menu looked very good also, very reasonably priced! I'll definitely be returning!

A restaurant where you can eat authentic Thai food. Previously, it was only available for delivery, but now you can also eat inside. As for the taste, it was the first time in a long time that it was truly delicious in this tasteless country of England. The pricing is excellent, and although the location is a little far from the city center, it's a restaurant I recommend to everyone if you can get there.

We like Dee Dee Thai Food, the food is food and staff always friendly. They might not always serve food really quick but nowadays running a food business is not easy to balance cost of staff and income. Also this particular location has changed so many hand, it’s now finally looking busier with Dee Dee there, I really hope they survive.

Food was great! We were served after closing hours and the waiter was very thoughtful - of course since it was late it took longer for the food to be prepared (though this wasn't much of an issue as we had time). Will come again soon!

The restaurant is on Barnet High Street beside the church sadly restaurants in the past there have not flourished. In short how does a Thai restaurant run out of spring rolls and other starters. They delivered chicken to a vegetarian and left food to cold while food was returned and the food was not delivered at the same time. The service was very slow for drinks and food despite speaking to the server it did not improve and no action was taken to resolve the issue. Dee Dee appeared to be prioritising online over sit in customers. The food was ok but the soup was excellent. I hope that the service improves otherwise as most Barnet residents know there is better service close by.

Such an excellent Thai restaurant. The staff are friendly and lovely, and the food is delicious as well as great value for money. In my honest opinion, the two best Thai restaurants in Hertfordshire are Mr. Tings (The Nascot Arms, Watford) and Dee Dee Thai Food in High Barnet and I have yet to find a Thai place in London that is as good as either. At Dee Dee's I can highly recommend the Jungle Curry (which is "properly" spicy and they don't pull their punches - you can even ask for spicier with any dish if you like. I particularly enjoy their Tom Yum Soup (spicy!) Chicken and Cashew Nut stir fry (amazing!) and I have become obsessed with their Fried Soft Noodles, which are just simple and delicious. 😋 Will be returning as often as my wallet will allow!

Food is NEVER ready on time. Ordered 4 times and 3 of those had to wait another 30 mins. Will use restaurants that produce food on time. Food maybe good but not worth the wait. Loads of thai restaurants around that run efficiently 1😡😡😡

Reasonable prices, but with really exceptional quality. Only recently moved from the Kings Head next door and still working on the decor.
