Quick delivery time and the food was delicious. Ordered the special jollof rice with prawns and fried plantains, good size portions and good value for money.

People tend not to post reviews unless something is really good or really bad. This is easily one of the best hidden gems in Southampton

This restaurant is utterly fantastic and deserves your support. The food is wonderful and the service is always friendly and polite. Unfortunately this time, Just Eat caused this order to never arrive. After waiting on the order, Just Eat claimed it had been delivered. At this point, I used their customer service links to request an order update. After speaking with the restaurant owner, at this point he recieved a notification that the order was canceled and had to throw it away. This technical error is entirely Just Eat's fault and I will be issuing a chargeback against them for this order. I have also encoureged the restaurant owner to complain and seek damages from the company.

This was my first time trying African food and I have been absolutely blown away! The jollof rice was deliciously fragrant and spicy and perfectly complimented by the tender, sweet, and unctuous beef suya. I'm yet to try the mutton curry but I'm VERY excited to! Delivery was also wonderful - the owner (or someone very close to them) was very polite and enthusiastic. He was absolutely right to be! I will definitely be ordering again!

This Has to be my favourite take away, have ordered for years and never had a problem, always great service and friendly delivery and the food is out of this world. Ten out of ten for flavour and freshness, would definitely recommend

The quality was a let down for the first time. There was too much seasoning in the mutton curry and the joloff rice smell and taste rancid - definitely not freshly cooked.

Good delivery time. Ordered mutton curry(so tender you can cut it with a spoon!), suya, chicken and rice and a large plantain which would easily be enough for 4 people for under £25. Every bite of each dish was as good as the last and at the same time felt healthy. Best value takeaway I've had in Southampton.

Nice man at door. Food ok but jollof rice could have more flavour. All in all satisfied with quality and taste of food. Would like more choice of food however, for instance pounded yam and ogbono, egusi etc.

I’ve had jellof & suya before many times from other African cuisines but this one didn’t feel like the ones I’ve had so it may be a new branch of delicacy but overall it was alright.

Lovely sized portions and nicely spiced ... soft fluffy rice.. Prawns were very tasty also .. perhaps try some rice and peas or dumplings to go along side 😆 will certainly order again thankyou very much x

The suya beef portion is small for the price. But taste good. And they didnt add suya seasoned to it.

I enjoyed the rice and beef suya but would advice them to improve their chicken, not well seasoned and maybe undercooked- just wasnt a fan of it. However I would order again and would recommend to friends and family.

This food was so good, I’ve written a review! I never do reviews! The flavours were spot on and we were sharing each other’s meals to show the other one how good it was! Really really tasty lovely delivery man respecting social distancing perfectly. My only suggestion is maybe your fridge is up a little too high as the salad and coleslaw were a little frozen but didn’t affect quality

This place needs a Michelin star just for flavour. I hate spicy food this wasn’t hot like I feared instead it was perfect that I could eat all the dishes and could taste the different menu, it was warm on the tongue enjoyable and tasty, boy oh boy did the family love it even the little one. Yes we will order it again. The owner is kind and friendly. Home made comfort food locally! Forget big restaurant chains this place is banging! Thank you we will order again.

This was the first time we tried Jallof rice and it was delicious. It had the right amount of spices and seasoning. The meat tasted great. Our food was delivered on time as we pre-order for a specific time. Great service, amazing food. Will be re-ordering soon.

After reading amazing reviews we decided to give this a go. Really wish we hadn't. I had the season chicken and rice which was bone dry and covered in rubbery slimy skin. The rice came out of the tub in one cold solid stodgy lump. It was absolutely vile. My partner had the mutton curry which was greasy and barely warm. The mutton was soft but his rice was also an overcooked lumpymess. Considering this was from a supposed amazing place we were shocked at the poor quality. We slso ordered it for collection to be contacted and told we had to have it delivered. This is because it's being served from a normal house I would assume? Really really bad food. My partner will eat anything and even he found it abysmal. Don't waste your money!

Food is definately worthit love the spicy kick it has to it , a bit pricey for the portion but all in all decent food highly recommended .

Shame - after reading all the reviews I was expecting high quality of food. The suya was dried and pretty much over grilled that it was too charred to consume. The other dishes were pretty nice though.
