Soross in West Oxfordshire

Food was great. Southern fried chicken fillet burger which tasted better than kfc and bigger portion. Garlic pizza bread is the best I’ve had. Unfortunately the random £16 min spend for delivery just doesn’t work, particularly for a single person. An average meal there is £10 and after that they charge you £2 delivery as well! So if you want something to eat as a single person, particularly single mum, you’re paying £8 more than if you ordered from another local fast food place that doesn’t have a min order/or small one and has no delivery charge for local. Rip off so rarely order there

2 hours for delivery, order came and it was wrong and my partner couldn't eat it, phoned to see if we could get another one but was told it would take another 2 hours as they only had one driver on. So asked for a refund, which we got (so an extra star for that :) The girl on the phone asked someone if they are going to send another one. To which I heard in the background "what more do they bloody want?" To answer dinner correct and at a reasonable time.

Food cold. Paid for coleslaw which was not available and replacement bottle of orange not received.Contacted by manager which was appreciated and he offered a full replacement if required. Thank.you.

Tried this place a few times and never again. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt buy I cannot any longer. Chips are always like they've been swepped from under the oven. Coleslaw tastes like the sour stump was used, spicey wings were lovely and so was the chicken drum stick but the bigger bits were quite dry. Oh and a cold pot of beans 😋

Starters/sides were okay but burgers were awful, bread tasted mouldy and a few scraps of lettuce on top instead of salad, will not be using this business again….

They never fail to impress us with their food. Also if their is any issues with your order, they will call to notify you with is good customer service.

Well that’s one less customer that will be using Soross for food. Waited over an hour and a half for a delivery to have it arrive freezing cold. Phoned the shop who said if we sent it back they would replace it on there next delivery round which would probably be another hour or so. Reheating soggy cold fries is not a great idea Lets all hope KFC open locally soon

This place seems to be going downhill more and more. Ordered a cheeseburger meal and it did it arrive quickly, I asked for a little bit of bbq sauce when ordering online, but when it arrived the burger was dripping with grease and what I can only assume was a bottle of sauce chucked in there as well. The bun was as if it has been kept in a bucket of water during delivery and was falling apart like it has been crushed.They sent another one over after phoning, I usually don’t do that, but this was just inedible, the bun just fell apart when you tried to pick the sloppy mess up. The burger sent as a replacement was slightly better, but still not what you expect, still a soggy bun. Will not be ordering from here again, and the customer service isn’t that great either.

From my children's perspective.. awesome pizzas. Never failed to make a great pizza. Chicken kebab, the chicken .. everything. We haven't had a bad takeaway from here.!! If you stuck what to have seriously give these a go! You won't be disappointed 😌

Always busy but you dont have to wait too long. Their Pizzas are the best, always freshly made onsite and better than the top takeaway brands. Highly recommended for a nice family treat.

I live in carterton so driving from soross to my home which was not a 5min drive my food was cold. I feel like my food may have be dished up and sat there waiting while the rest of my order was cooking, which was only another 2 meals. Being served by the female there seemed like she didn't even want to be there. I personally won't be ordering from there again. But on a bright note as there's only one. The owner that gave us our food was lovely.

Decided to try out sorros chicken today, my girlfriend who is 8 months pregnant had to spit out and throw away her food the chicken wasn’t fried properly and cold on the inside, I returned and showed them a picture to make them aware and the whole team was laughing and trying to mock the, situation absolutely unprofessional. As I walked out they started to laugh. Definitely do not recommend unless your trying to get food poisoning. Disgusting way to treat costumers.

Best pizza in Carterton! Can’t really comment on the rest of their menu, as that’s all I tend to order. I always collect, so can't comment on delivery. All I know is, their pizzas bang! Tip: Get the cheesy garlic bread and add the toppings of your choice and ask for it well-done. Ever since I started doing that, it’s been a game changer!

I think judging by the reviews there seems to be a vendetta against this establishment. Probably by other jealous takeaways in the area. I have used Soross for many years and can honestly say I have never had a bad meal. Always great food and helpful polite service. Great value for money. The establishment is well presented and always clean. I have recommended to friends in the past and they have always enjoyed the experience. I can’t comment on the delivery service as I have not used it. Keep it up Soross and ignore the less than complimentary reviews.

I ordered and first of all it took 2 hours to get here when it told me 60-90 mins, then the delivery driver was rude and overcharged me,the order was wrong with a couple things missing,there was hair in the food and when we called to complain the manager was very rude and was adamant that my order wasn’t wrong.

Really disappointed in tonight’s food yet again I’m sorry but this place is not worth eating from they get your orders wrong every time go else where

First time customer, ordered through their website, says they deliver up to 4 miles away. Put address in and all went through fine. (£2 delivery charge added, fine) A few mins later I received a phone call telling me they don’t deliver to my postcode/Burford. Despite being in Shilton, literally 1 mile outside of Carterton and exactly 2.4miles from the shops postcode. Questioned this and was told “it is a Saturday, we’re really busy and we’ve only got 2 drivers” (employ more!) She double checked only to come back and tell me driver is refusing to deliver. Refund processed (takes up to 3 working days, NOT immediately as I was told! 😡) Will spend elsewhere and won’t try them again. Shame.

This place used to be great but now the delivery times are horrendous waiting 2+ hours for delivery. The prices just don't match the quality anymore, if your gonna put your prices up then the quality needs to stay and not decrease. Not sure if its changed hands in the past year but its nothing like it was. Owners need to step up their game and sort out better delivery times.

A similar thing happened a few weeks ago and I let it slide as it may have been a once off and they were busy, the food arrived cold and stale which we did not eat in the end. This time I asked to speak to the manager who then handed me to (I am assuming the owner) when I asked for a refund due to the long wait and that this was the second time this has happened, to then be verbally abused by him. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and I will not be buying there again or recommending them to anyone else.

We waited 2 and half hours to then be told with would be another 30mins absolutely dreadful place. Never had to wait this long for a delivery. Ended up asking for a refund and going somewhere else. This was my first and last time I will ever order food from this place.

Sometimes good, sometimes shocking. Good portion sizes though! Staff reasonably friendly. Very long delivery times though. Food has been cold multiple times.

See some having issues with the wait time. Didnt have that issue myself and the food was great. Chicken as really good (best around this area IMO) and pizza was really good too.

£15 minium delivery, still a £2 delivery charge and 90 minute wait is absolutely outrageous.

Not only did we wait almost 2 hours for a delivery which stated 45 mins after ordering, my wife and I both came down with food poisoning. I ordered a mixed meat & fries, my wife ordered a 2pc chicken combo meal, everything was dry, except the amount of BBQ sauce smothered over my mixed meat. Definitely not ordering from here again!

Overall, food has been delicious for as long as I can remember (well, when they first moved into that building!) however three times in a row now, they’ve forgotten desserts that have been ordered. Sadly we’re going to stop ordering from here as the hassle to either get a refund or wait on the phone for someone to confirm the missing dessert and have one sent back out is just not worth the effort and disappointment. Thanks Soross for all the lovely food over the years - your delivery driver is a top gent too!

Never fails to sort me out, great Kebabs

Normally good but they’ve put in place a £16 minimum order before a £2 delivery fee on top of that. As a single person, I would have to order a ridiculous amount of food so unfortunately won’t be ordering from here again.

Submitted an order at 5.45pm. Come 8pm, and being unable to ring as no answer, I drove there only to find others who had ordered only had to wait half an hour. Ours hadn’t even been cooked. Half hearted apology. Shame as we used to order from them regularly but no more. Food is actually quite nice but service terrible.

Seen some negative reviews of this place. However tried it. Liked it....loved it. The chicken is delicious. Staff are friendly and is now our go to place for chicken 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Asked for a large kebab and chips and gave me 4 pieces of hard donor meat, which was cold, tried to charge me an extra £2.50 for some lettuce on the other chips I ordered and then to top it all off, they gave me mint yoghurt instead of garlic mayonnaise when I’m allergic to mint. Really would not recommend if you want a good place to get a kebab from go king kebabs in Carterton.

Friendly service and value for money

We love Sorros! Never had a bad meal from there. Always arrives hot. There can sometimes be a long wait HOWEVER I believe that it shows the popularity of the place. If there is a long wait they always apologise on delivery. If you want it quicker go and collect. Good customer service, reasonably priced and portion sizes are decent! I feel safe using my card at this place, given other establishments in Carterton who continually have customers cards cloned and then get fraudulent activity on their account happen I KNOW this will not happen with Sorros. We will continue to use them as long as we live in the area and fancy a takeaway treat!

Ordered 1 burger and 1 chicken box meal....... 1 hour 30 mins later later we phoned to see where it was! We was told there was a delay so please wait another 20 mins...... Absolute joke..... Please don't order from this circus of a business

Poor, slow service ! Food has gone down hill , won't be rushing back. Also annoying that they charge delivery no matter what you spend.

Ordered online, put in post code for delivery and paid. It said could take up to 90 mins. 90 mins after ordering and no food, I called to see where it was. I was told they don't deliver to my area and it wasn't coming (despite the fact they have delivered to me many times before & postcode was fine when ordering and I paid eelovery charge). I had waited now and my food wasn't coming so very frustrated. I asked when they were planning on letting me know it wasn't coming and they said they had only just received my order. What a load of poo. Young girl on phone had no answers and just was keen to get me off the phone after saying i could collect food. Having had a drink this was not an option so eventually gave a refund over the phone. So annoyed to not only have waited,but to probably have continued to do so as clearly no-one was going to let me know in a hurry. Will be taking custom elsewhere for sure. Disappointed with the service and no food!

Ordered family takeaway this evening and they got part of the order wrong and refused to redeliver correct item, refund item or generally take any responsibility, management was rude to speak to.

Shockingly long wait while 4 people who ordered after me were served ( and not small meals either) I would probably still be there now if I hadn't asked where my food was. Using your delivery service as an excuse doesn't cut it when you had quite clearly forgotten my order.

POOR DELIVERY SERVICE!! Ordered online for delivery, unfortunately they do not give you a time until payment is made. Estimated 90 minutes but took 2 hours despite living on the same estate, regardless of delivery time the food was very good and hot when it arrived. I will not use the delivery service again..

Waited over 2 hrs for a delivery even after ordering for a specific time, it arrived cold and the chicken wrap had a blonde hair in the batter really disappointed with response offered another wrap but obviously put off from the first and just said oh OK. A minimum refund for that meal should have been offered. Won't eat here again

Ordered online at 19.07, email received to say order will arrive at 20.07 or later if busy, it's Wednesday so I would think that busy! Called at 20.20 to ask when I am likely to receive 2 pizzas!!! Told it's with the driver so to expect it within the next 5 mins. Called again at 20.35 to ask where 2 pizza are, still with driver (I live 1 min from them). Get a call back to say pizza not even left. Shame, as we eat from them at least once a month, won't again and will be telling family and friends not to bother either.

£18 for a xl mixed meat kebab, a small kebab and a portion of onion rings. Xl kebab didn't even half fill the container. Small almost did. Onion rings had either been left under the heat lamp for too long or had been double dipped. For the prices that place charges, the quality is shocking. First time in 4 years I've had food from there, I will not be using them again.

Nice restaurant lots of nice food to eat friendly people

Good pizza place, way better than domino's in my opinion. Friendly guys in there. I have had a few different types of pizza and sides from here, all have been nice. The only slightly disappointing thing is you don't get a dip with it and I forget to order it every time. All in all way better than the big chains, nice and quick service and good reasonably priced food.

I was asked is I wanted to buy there delivery drivers hat for £50 and I said "no I'd rather have a BJ for £50" as a joke. The guy then threatened to break every bone in my body for making that joke and repeated that several times. I would not recommend as they are angry violent people, and the chicken is dry.....

Food Is Extortionate But Well Worth It Because Of Large Portions And Very Filling. Delivery Can Take A While On Fridays And Saturdays But Other Days Delivery Is Fairly Quick. My Only Criticisms Are You Have To Pay An Expensive Delivery Charge No Matter What Even If You Spend Hundreds! To Fix This I Would Suggest: Make It So That If You Spend A Set Amount (I Would Say Around £25 - £30) Delivery Is Free Or At Least Reduced

Very good overall. The pizza tastes great. My personal favourite was the chicken kabab. Friendly staff who are always chatting. The chicken was a little dry, but it was fine. Overall it was very good.

The item missing was for a child. We ordered at 7.30 with 7 orders. The pizza was ordered online with the other items. As soon as we noticed we called and was told it would be 15mins but nearly 30 mins later and several phone calls later we received the order. Yes it was hot but its beyond a joke when your quoted 60mins online when ordering online. I don't think the new system works. It's a shame as we really like sorros.

Expensive for very little amount of food. Burger bun was hard & got hardly any doner meat in it for a burger thats called a 'big daddy'. Popcorn chicken had about 10 tiny bits in it. Prefer carterton pizzeria for quality & value for money.

My two teenagers, adore this take away, chicken, pizza, donor boxes.. you name it they love it all. I like their cream cheese chilli bites... they do me 🥰🥰🥰

Had some food recently from soross , it can be very hit and miss but I have to say this time it was nice and fresh . We spent around £33 on food but was charged £2 delivery which I think is ridiculous having spent alot on food.

We have been using Soross since they opened and we have never had a bad meal, the staff are always friendly and the food is cooked fresh to order. Recommended.

We have been using Sorros for over 4 years. Inside, in comparison to normal takeaways, is immaculately clean. The staff are friendly and the food is delicious (try the chicken wrap meal, full salad, garlic and chilli sauce) gutted to be leaving this area, one of the reasons is this place!

Amazing experience. First time in UK, went on a road trip and stopped to grab a pizza. The owner was very kind and offered a bottle of water, some chips and garlic sauce. Couldn't be more cozy! Very tasty pizza ingredients
