Really lovely, friendly, helpful staff

Awesome place. Polite and willing staff.Has a 2 screen set up, where up to 4 ppl can play together (eg mario cart). Nice vibe! more places like this plz!

Easily my favourite place in Swansea. Been going to the beginners DnD sessions and I love everything about the place. The atmosphere is really chilled and welcoming, the staff are great, the food is really nice and decently priced. I haven't tried out any other games yet but the choice is amazing! Highly recommend a visit if board games are your thing... or even if they're not to be fair, give it a go anyway 😁

The greatest place for boardgame, and the people there are very nice. Plus it is a pet friendly place. Cannot recommend it more!!!

Lovely place to while away an afternoon playing games!! Great atmosphere. Lighting is bright but not glaring. Fully accessible. Toilet facilities available. Bar serving food, soft and alcoholic drinks. Friendly knowledgeable staff. We'll be back!!

What a breath of fresh air! Solid furniture to play on, tonnes of games to choose from and all seem well taken care of and in tact. Clean, well lit and relaxed af. The staff were super attentive and friendly and clearly happy to work there. Really looking forward to our next visit.

Spent 4 hours playing board games with my family. Excellent place to try out different board games with a really good selection of soft drinks and hot drinks.

Really friendly staff who helped us pick out some games and took the time to give us a basic rundown of the rules. Definitely coming again.

Food was really good and reassembly priced, nice selection of games we really enjoyed trying out some titles we haven't played before. I was surprised there was no section to actually buy some games but that's really not a problem. Great location, we will be back!

I've been here a few times now, you can never play the same board game twice as there's SO MANY to choose from. Coffee is high quality and they will happily cater to any dietary requirements, will definitely be back for more food, drinks and game time 😊

Easily one of the coolest places in Swansea. Have been quite a few times with friends and have always had a blast. Staff on hand are always happy to help and even recommended us some fun games to play. Great games, great cocktails, great people! 👍

First visit & quite impressed👍. Plenty of games to choose from & very helpful & knowledgeable staff👌. Food was a welcome bonus & the whole evening was enjoyable & fun. Most likely be back again & recommended for a night of somewhere different.

It is just amazing. Great food, great drinks, friendly and welcoming atmosphere with a large selection of board games and card games to choose from whilst eating and drinking. They also allow you to split the bill with other people you come with which is nice. They do booking as well, and its £3 per person for 2 hours, and can be extended to 4 hours with an extra £5 per person. From this review, this place is up for a year, and I hope it'll stay there for the years to come!

Always so nice! Sometimes you need to book in advance but mostly you can just walk in. The food and drinks are delicious, and the choice of games is great!

There is plenty of choice with 100's of games. Staff are quite knowledgeable about the games and how to play. Reasonably priced drinks. A great place to meet up with friends, a warm, cosy environment. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ALL.

Table service and classic hotdog action. Plus: GAMES! GAMES! GAMES! You like board games? You like coffee and/or alcohol? This is your kind of establishment. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is cosy. I right enjoyed myself when I was here the other night.

First time visiting a board game cafe with my friend on Saturday. We had a lovely afternoon playing two games whilst enjoying cocktails and food. Both members of staff were so lovely, attentive, and welcoming. Can't wait to return again next month

Excellent Selection, fun atmosphere!

This place is EPIC - a jewel in Swansea. Their range of games is amazing, so many different types and styles, there will be something for everyone. We were a group of 6 and found plenty of different games to keep us occupied. Later in the evening we reduced down to 3 and still found games to keep us entertained.

The range of games with place has is out of this world. We started with a group is 6 and as the night went on reduced down to 3. Both groups found plenty of options for us to play. The choice of local beer and ciders kept is well watered and the home-cooked food options are great too.

Great eve at Socialdice. A fab atmosphere for comedy night with lush food and drinks. A great place to go for a different time out. Friendly attentive staff. Would definitely recommend

I Can't rate Social Dice more highly! (But if I could I'd definitely give a 6/5 stars 😂) By far the best place to go on a night out! or chill day with friends! all of their events are amazing and their normal day to day is everything you could ask for! Ryan, Chris and all the staff are amazing! And the food / drink is 🤌🤌👌👌 (especially recommend the homemade strawberry lemonade and their incredible hot chocolates).

Coffee was best I've ever had and a really good beef dog. Took a while but service was 11/10. They were nice and laughed with us. Deducted cost for one of our friends that left early. Loved it and wish I lived closer to go more often.

Food is basic but just what you need during a hard gaming session - I can fully vouch for the vegan hot dog and the loaded nachos 👌 Nice atmosphere of smiley people enjoying board games. Finally got to play Carcassonne. Staff are super friendly and will help explain how to play any game they stock in impressive detail! Top job.

Visited with our children whilst on holiday to the area , and really enjoyed it. We have been to quite a few board game cafes before as we are really into tabletop games and this was probably the best we have been to. Really good selection of games , really clean , and the staff were super friendly and helpful . Really loved the themed mock tails aswell our 7 year old has a ‘health potion’ and it came in a proper potion bottle was really cool and would definitely visit again !

What a lovely little cafe, great food, friendly staff, and a huge variety of board games to play with your friends

Great food and drinks! We went to one of their event nights and had so much fun, already planning another trip back. Staff were very welcoming!

We had a wonderful time with our daughter and will certainly be visiting again. It was great to have the games that we played in the 80's which we were able to share with our daughter. Whilst there we enjoyed the nachos and hot dogs, both seved promptly with plenty to go around. Thank you for advising us Ryan on what games would be suitable to us as a group. We'll definatley see you again soon.

Lovely time at my first board game cafe, Never really knew what to expect but very welcoming, friendly and inclusive environment, (Ryan in particular ) learnt so much and will Definitely recommend and use again And. Regularly in the future watch this space ☺️

My husband and I have given this place a few tries but we always leave a bit disappointed. My biggest complaint about this place is how hot and stale it is. It makes the gaming experience, no matter how fun, exhausting and uncomfortable. I observed other guests fanning themselves to try and cool down. During our latest visit, there was a large rowdy group that was out of control and playing their own music from one of their phones (sensory overload due to the cafe having having music playing as well). At no point did the staff approach the group asking them to settle down or leave. It spoiled our visit. We're unlikely to visit again despite enjoying the concept of a board game cafe.

Wanted to try something new and seen that Solicedice is amongst the 12 best board game cafes in the UK. One of our best nights out in Swansea, being central where you can enjoy a coffee or a cocktail! The owners were friendly and knowledgeable. The deco is contemporary and really nicely spaced. Will sure be visiting soon.

If you love board games as much as I do you'll love socialdice. They offer an astounding selection of varied board games for you and your friends/family to enjoy. The food and drinks on offer are equally as varied and you'll surely find something that takes your fancy. All of this is housed in a warm, cosy and inclusive place in the heart of Swansea that caters to everybody. The staff are amazing and ensure that you'll never leave feeling dissatisfied. Can't wait for my gazillionth visit! 😁

Fabulous way to spend a few hours with friends. Chris picked out the perfect game for us and explained it really well so we could get stuck in straight away. Food was delicious! Looking forward to going back :)

What an experience! Absolutely loved this place! Just what Swansea and Wind Street has needed for so long... sod the clubs and pubs up and down Wind Street, if you want to enjoy each others company, have a laugh, be able to bear each other and make some genuine memories, well SocialDice is the place to be! A relaxed atmosphere, with knowledgeable staff and something that little different for a day or night out! Enjoyed myself so much, that I came away without taking a single photo or touching my phone since entering through their doors! Can't wait to go again, and bringing even more of my friends with me. Thanks for the best evening in a VERY long time!

Visited Socialdice with a group of work colleagues and we had a brilliant time!! Staff were very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the games on offer, they helped pick the perfect game for us (Funemployment). We all very much enjoyed our food and sampled some of the quirky cocktails on offer too. Will definitely be back!

I have visited Socialdice multiple times over the last 6 months, most recently for a comedy night. Every time I’ve visited I’ve thoroughly enjoyed. Great atmosphere and service and a wide range of games to choose from! Would thoroughly recommend!

I went with my partner, had an amazing day, was seen to and seated very quickly by lovely staff. The food was surprisingly good and their drinks were very tasty; I'm quite fussy but the menu is easy to understand and they're very accommodating. It had a good energy about it, everyone was enjoying themselves and no one was too loud. The game selection is great, "too many to choose from." My partner told me. It's definitely going to be a regular spot for us now.

Really good selection of games to play, had a lot of fun trying new games we'd not heard of before. Some of the games that needed a notepad or paper didn't have it in the box, so I'd suggest the cafe maybe have a whiteboard by each table for scoring? They were a bit slow bringing out our drinks, but all very friendly and welcoming.

Very friendly staff had a lovely chat about board games in general. When I'm in Swansea will absolutely visit again!

An interesting concept. Board gamers will love it. Nice that there are guided workshops for those new to some of the most popular games such as Dungeons and Dragons, a great idea for singletons who would like to try something new. Full range of drinks from posh coffees to alcohol served. Unlike other towns where this concept has been brought to communities by non-profits, this gaming cafe is fully commercial, and that is reflected in the pricing. It's not cheap. Ring ahead if you want to come in a wheelchair. It's located on the famous Swansea Wind Street, which is not my favourite location at night, so I'd personally use it in the afternoon or early evening with the intention of being long gone by the time the drunken clubbers spill out into the street.

Friendly staff, (keep it up). BBQ pork wedges hit the spot. Great cup of coffee. Excellent selection of games which the staff are willing to help with. Will definitely be going again.

Something New ▶️ Something really 🆒 ! On Swansea's Entertainment destinations map! Huge choice of really tricky and good fun games in offer together with some food (didn't tried this time but menu looks encouragingly) and lokal beers (with some really less known crafts on as. well 😍😍). Definitely worth to visit if you got enough of typical 'WINE Street' partying 😉 🎲🎲🎲

Happy few hours spent in Socialdice today (Saturday afternoon)! Concept is simple, book a table, pick from a wide selection of games, drinks and good choice of snacks, and enjoy. Team are great, really friendly and helpful, so pleased this is a success. Great atmosphere and mix of people engrossed in games😃

They have a decent selection of board games, but the prices for the food and drink are very expensive. The place was very clean.

We went here after work on a Wednesday. We were greeted with really friendly staff who explained the set up and offered us game recommendations. We played games we never had before, had some drinks and nachos, and generally had a lovely time. I would recommend this place.

As seasoned board gamers we hoped this would be a good visit and it was (although they opened half an hour late on the Sunday, so we recommend booking in for your session so they know if people are there early for games!). By the time we left it was very busy. Good selection of games available (including some newly released ones), the staff were friendly, the food was great (especially the nachos and the gluten-free chocolate cupcake!). and the toilet was clean. There was just enough space to for the wheelchair (although a few people had to squeeze in for us to wheel past). A very positive visit and we managed to play 5 games (and lunch) into a four hour slot which worked well for us.

This place is great. Brilliant boardgame selection, lovely cocktails, snacks and open till 12pm. Had a lovely evening out with friends, the bar has a nice atmosphere, staff very friendly. If you love board games I'd really recommend a visit.

I’ve been waiting for a board game cafe to open in Swansea and Socialdice DELIVERED Tasty food & drinks and great atmosphere. SO many games to choose from too, I’ll definitely be looking into getting a membership. Highly recommend!

Made a booking for early on a Saturday, there was a slight delay to open but we were contacted before and made aware of this delay. All the staff were welcoming and friendly, and had some excellent recommendations for games as well! An excellent choice of games and some delicious food and drink as well, including dairy free options as well.

What a find! Lucky enough to find a table for a family of four and so glad we did. Felt totally welcome from the get go, and the enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff are absolute superstars. Games for everyone, great variety of food and drinks - a great way to spend a few hours. Will definitely be back!

Such a great place for everyone. I visited with my husband and we are avid gamers. There was plenty of choice from hungry hippos and mousetrap for children and families to strategic games such as Catan and Carcasonne for the gamers like us. The staff provided excellent service with food and drinks and great game recommendations. They explained a game well and made good recommendations for the style we told him we liked to play. It's a shame we visited this place on the last day of our holiday as we would have visited again. Definitely a place to try if you fancy something different, especially on a rainy day when you want something indoors!

Social Dice has been a great hang out place with my friends everytime I come to visit them. The owners and staff are incredibly helpful and passionate about making it a wonderful experience for everyone who comes in. Though the main attraction is the board games, there is a fair variety of of food and drink available with them being chosen for ease in eating while stil playing.

Visited at the weekend and had such a lovely time. We were celebrating a family birthday & anniversary & staff were welcoming including, to the 2 children in our group and we all felt relaxed and enjoyed the range of games. Although the menu wasn’t huge what they did have was fantastic and good range of drinks. Although I live in London I have already recommended to friends in the area & will be back on my next visit,

A really nice addition to Swansea. Probably the biggest range of games I've seen in a hot minute at a cafe. Food was great, service was promt and friendly and the drinks were great! Went for my birthday, and after my experience, I'm glad I didn't go somewhere else!

We came here on Sunday when the weather was bad. We had such a great time, the staff were extremely friendly and recommended some fun games that we had never played before. There was so much choice, including the classics and games which I had never even heard of The food was great and the coffee was lovely, it was a lovely atmosphere and I would definitely come here again!
