Ground Plant Based Coffee in Swansea

One of my favorite places - fab food & drinks and a lovely relaxed atmosphere 😀

Whilst visiting Swansea to have a new roof fitted to my BMW Z3 I came across this lovely little cafe..croissants and coffee were lovely, nice friendly atmosphere highly recommended very pleasant change from the big companies..give it a try you won’t be disappointed 😊

What an absolute gem. Such a homely friendly atmosphere where you feel so welcome when greeted by Elissa, Olivia, Debbie and Helen, all of whom are friendly and lovely people. You can walk in there on your own and not feel isolated in any way. The decor is warm and light with a great vintage corner by the window. It's a very special place with its own lovely aura. The menu is amazing and I can't wait to go back! Thank you 🙏 x

Great little cafe gives a cozy and hippie vibe, and fantastic service. All the food is 100% plant based. Both food and drinks are excellent. The stuffed croissant with scrambled tofu and spinach was nicely warmed and has a buttery texture.

Visito este café regularmente y es absolutamente increíble. Cada comida que he comido aquí ha sido 5 *. Recomiendo encarecidamente la pila de tortitas canadienses y la tortilla de garbanzos. Sus pasteles y galletas también son impresionantes!

Best breakfast wrap. Cooked beautifully and tastes delicious. Cakes are also divine.

Great little Vegan Cafe. We stopped in for coffee and breakfast on our way back from town. I had the full breakfast which was lovely and dad had the Tofutastic wrap which he couldn't finish so I had some of that too, and I can vouch for how good it was. Definitely coming back for the Lions mane burger. The coffee was very good too.

One of the best burgers I ever had, whether vegetarian or not. Lovely hot drinks too. Would happily go back to try other items on the menu.

Visited ground just as they opened on a Saturday morning. It was nice and quiet. I got the scrambled tofu and spinach croissant which I would definitely get again! It was super yummy and just right. My friend got the pancakes which were very well loaded and delicious. Will definitely be back in the near future to try more of the menu, especially their new lions mane burger

Buenas tardes equipo vegano! Déjame decirte que la hamburguesa de melena de León fue absolutamente increíble, desde el bollo Brioche súper suave que no se partió a la mitad mientras lo comías, hasta la cantidad perfecta de queso, pepinillos y luego el artículo principal la hamburguesa, magníficamente sabrosa incluso hasta el sabor de las puntas quemadas caramelizadas, las cebollas fritas lo hicieron más dulce que la sriracha mayo lo cortó con un poco de calor! Perfecto! ¡Las patatas nuevas se cocinaron con lo justo de un crujiente pero esponjoso interior! ¡Buena ensalada fresca de cebollas rojas crujientes, rábanos encurtidos, hojas de espinaca y un glaseado balsámico! Helen Wilson, Fliss y el equipo! Absolutamente excelente! ¡Volveremos por más!

Excellent food, lovely staff, nice decor and atmosphere. More food choices until 2pm but some served afterwards too.

This place had an amazing selection of breakfast/lunch dishes! I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone, not just vegans/vegetarians. The breakfast wrap was one of the best, if not the best, breakfast wrap I have had anywhere!! I wish we were in the area longer to eat here again!

Perfect Vegan Cafe, another fantastic meal, Gill had the Avocado on Sourdough toast, I had the homemade French toast, couple of Lavender lattes bought some Tahini and Date cookies to take home which are to die for! Looking forward to our next visit!

Came in for the first day today and was surprised and how homely and comfy this place felt as soon as I walked through the door. The lady behind the counter was very polite and attentive with great product knowledge of all the menu. I had a decaf flat white with a breakfast wrap and my wife had a smoothie , with an added cookie for my son. Very pleased with this coffee/surf shop and will most definitely be back in the not to distant future. Well done Ground Based Plant Coffee 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Really cute cafe, actually really delightful vegan food! Haven’t had a maple pecan in years and they had a vegan one!

Friendly and relaxed vibe, and very reasonable priced food and drinks that tasted lovely. It's always nice to try something a little different and the super sup wrap was exactly that, and a pleasant surprise!

Excellent breakfast full of flavour, colour and sophistication. Specialty coffee options to explore as well. Best food in Swansea!

Another superb visit, see pics of the food it was absolutely superb! Lovely to see it quite full as well! We had the French toast and scrambled tofu it was a taste sensation! I would definitely recommend this cafe as it’s just superb and for Vegans you haven’t got to worry about anything!

A wonderful little gem a very short walk from the beachfront. The guy behind the counter was so super nice, friendly and informative. Loved the selection of (fully plant based) food and drinks on offer. Coffee was divine in the cutest cups. Would recommend for anyone!

Plant based Cafe, fantastic food, great service, nice and local, part of the Vegan Triangle in Swansea, pop in and see them, we had the Vegan sausage sarnie on sourdough and the breakfast wrap which included, sausage, bacon, mushrooom, cheese and spinach in a toasted wrap , superb flavours , also excellent coffee, nice venue for a meet up especially as they are doing out the side room to have more tables and chairs for more sit ins, whilst we were they did a lot of takeaways which didn’t affect the experience! Will definitely be back for more! Thanks to Helen and team!

I love this place. Helen is fab and very accommodating. The food is outstanding, cooked, and made fresh to order. I love the breakfast wrap, it's so tasty and the peanut butter smoothie. Have also ordered food for colleagues who were sceptical, but they were really impressed and loved what they had.

Amazing! My partner treated me to breakfast from Ground Plant Based Coffee as part of a "secret" anniversary trip he had planned for us; he had read about it months ago and knew I would love to check it out! So I had no idea where I was going other than "getting breakfast" XD When we arrived we were immediately made to feel welcome by the kind woman behind the counter, there was a really relaxing vibe inside the shop as well. I ordered the vegan omlette with home made pastrami and a beetroot latte to drink while we waited for our food to cook. The beetroot latte was really nice, a beautiful pink colour, subtly sweet and comforting. I tried some of my partner's iced latte and it was some of the best coffee I've ever tried - I'm an ex Costa barista and my partner and I have a hobby of trying different coffees from independent producers to generic coffee brand varieties so we've tried quite a lot! The iced latte was so creamy, rich and smooth. It does seem to have quite a caffeine kick to it though, so I recommend people who are sensitive to caffeine take it easy with this one! The omlette was so delicious, perfect and filling for breakfast. I was served a really chonky portion as well! I tried some of my partner's breakfast wrap and it was really flippin' good too. We had a brownie between us, it was rich and gooey like a brownie should be =D We loved this coffee bar so much we decided to return for breakfast the following day (on our way home). This time the woman behind the counter was working with a man as well, who was also very friendly and helpful. I had a croissant stuffed with the homemade vegan pastrami and cheeze and a luxury hot chocolate (hot chocolate with whipped cream, marshmallows and cinnamon), while my partner had a mocha and SUP wrap. The food and drink were delicious again, enough to keep us going on our long drive. If only we lived closer, we would make this a regular stop! I highly recommend this coffee bar to everyone, vegan or otherwise =)

Absolutely brilliant coffee and food! I got the ice latte and I can say hands down I’ve never had a better one in my life! If we lived closer I think I would permanently be in the shop. My partner got the beetroot latte which was also delicious. The breakfast wrap and omelette were also very tasty and delicious. Highly recommend everyone even if your not vegan checking this place out. Very nice wholesome vibe and amazing food and coffee. Would award 10 stars if I could :)

Tiny, but modern cafe working along side of Surfing equipment shop. Perfect option for 'Grab & Go' 🏃‍♂️ Most foodie option is vegan/vegetarian 🫑 Made of good quality products 👌👌 Delicious coffee (tried matcha one!) ☕ Very affordable prices. Friendly service. 👍👍

Honest to god. What a gem. The peanut butter cookie sandwich or whatever it was called was amazing, the coffee was so rich in flavour with very good eye for detail accents like the glass it was served in and the rubber on metal straw. It's connected to like a surf shop... So awesome, wicked colours too! Can't recommend enough, small shops like this are so underated! Wish I could give 6*.

Beautiful coffee with amazing croissants and delicious vegan pastrami (made inhouse) wraps, that's all I had but everything else looked delicious and everything is very fairly priced, so happy to have found this place! Thank you!! (No photos cos I ate everything too quickly)

I have visited the coffee shop a couple of weeks ago. It was nice to finally meet the person I talked to in Viva! podcast! ;) Helen was super welcoming even though very busy with work things, and she offer offered us some cakes and coffee to go home with! 😍 Definitely recommend the place! Ps: they now have vegan soft serve! Guys!!!! Smashing it! 👍
