Just had a terrible meal from this place chicken in batter was shocking .Batter was the worst I've ever tasted was tough like leather . Sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style wasn't any better chicken was tough all this for £23 what a joke will never order from there again. This place used to be good something has changed and not for the better.

Food is pretty good, but due to delivery times I opted to order online and collect but this took just as long even though it suggested a lot quicker

Nice food, better than most Chinese takeaways in Inverclyde I like the fact that when you order online, they give you options as to whether you want ingredients added or not - This is great for our fussier family members that usually have to pick bits out they don't like Delivered to Greenock within an hour of placing the order. We had to reheat the chips in the air fryer to crisp them up a bit but that isn't a big deal because we have to do that with most takeaways We will order from here again - I recommend it 💯

Zero accountability in terms of delivery times. Would not recommend.

The meal I just had was shocking rice chips & curry sauce was as dry as the bottom of a bird cage. Chicken &batter was soggy. Went in bin. The only thing pleasant about that order was the delivery driver. The china inn. Corlic st is much better.

2nd time in a row order has been wrong. Ordered online again so it wasn't a misunderstanding over the phone. It's on your order screen, get a grip. There won't be a third time.

I got a king prawn curry with chips tonight,the chips were rock hard looked like they were re heated , called to complain she said " I don't know what you want me to say " at £10 a meal I expect better . Avoid,

food is lovely from here but delivery times are shocking, every time we order from here it takes hours to be delivered.

Ordered food at 5.30 didn’t arrive till 7.30 to be missing chips and rice. Phoned shop to be told they could send it out but they didn’t know when time it arrived the curry had went cold wouldn’t waste my money or time here again.

We are new customers to So Rice, their Chicken and Mushroom is delicious, the Chicken Chow mein absolutely the best. Tonight we ordered the Chicken Maryland. A big NO as for the 1st time ever, served skinny SMOKED sausages in the meal. Utterly horrible. Come on. That coupled with " off hand" response from the lady on the end of the phone was off putting to say the least . Shame.

Didn’t get as far as the food. Phone answered by a very rude woman who proceeded to start chatting to someone in the background before I hear her saying “I canny hear her” someone else came to the phone also rude, she said is it collection aye I said no delivery she then said it would be a long wait…pure cheek from both of them persuaded me to not order from here.

Disappointed with honey ribs tonight . Literally no sauce, Ribs were very dry and appeared reheated..

So Rice. So expensive. Place is so expensive Green T Chinese take away just up the street is jumping because of price difference. £2/3 a meal more expensive than other places locally. For a family of 4 the extra £12 is extreme.

Ordered online at 5pm asking for an 8pm delivery. Told it’s a busy night at 8:30pm. Surely I was put in the queue, having placed the order with 3 hours to spare! Last call to cancel, then doorbell rang. Food arrived at 9:20pm. All of it was disgusting, the salt & chilli tofu were little dry rocks so hard you could break windows. They should be ashamed to put this food out there, let alone with horrendous service! Never, ever again in my life or yours if you’re reading this.

Delivery service is non existent, when you phone for an update all you get is waiting on driver

Food was okay, nothing special but edible. Big issue is delivery times. 2.5hours I waited. Staff when I called not very helpful.

First time ordering tonight and you did not disapoint! Chicken chow mein (skinny noodles) spare ribs and curry sauce, went down a treat. Both my husband and i thoroughly enjoyed it, and portions are massive. Will definitely 💯 order again, thank you!!

This place has went down a pretty steep hill. Fried rice was mushy suggesting it hadn't been cooled properly before it was fried. Salt and chilli chips were mostly soggy and the batter on the chicken balls wasn't even nearly cooked properly. 100% would not order from here again

Good food excellent portions will use again

Delivery was quick and food hot when it arrived. Portion sizes were big and food tasted really nice. Wasn't a fan of Super Chef but this tasted so much nicer

The main thing about a takeaway is the food and my first experience of So Rice in Port Glasgow was of excellent food. Large portions and all very tasty. The food took a while after being ordered (but it was Saturday evening) but I'm assuming the service will speed up with time. A bit dearer than Super Chef but well worth it for me. Happy to recommend.

Didn't like super chef, love so rice! Choice is amazing, new items are tasty. It's got some excellent Deals and online ordering is the way to go. Thanks guys, finally a good Chinese in the Port.

Wow! We got the salt chilli snack box with fried rice chips and curry and the salt and chilli ribs. Portion sizes are amazing and the food is unbelievably amazing! This will be my new go to place!!

Just had a take away from so rice delivered was pleasantly suprised menu varied caters for vegetarian fresh ingredients in the vegetable chow mein not frozen like some take aways in area meals ordered were very tasty not oily or greasy def my go to from now on .

Fantastic food and reasonably priced

Anything salt and chilli here tastes amazing but putting it in a sealed plastic tub makes it sweat and go soggy by the time it gets to the customer!! Try a foam box with several holes in it and the food will travel a lot better 👍 also need to start doing a salt and pepper munchee box like most other shops in the area are doing

Very poor, this takeaway used to be beautifully cooked, far to greasy now and its not curry sauce it's that thick you have to spoon it out ver' disappointed

I prefer this takeaway to the others and if you ever did have an issue they will work to resolve it.

For years Superchef was my go to Chinese however unsure if staff have changed of late or something as standard has really gone down lately. Last couple of times I went the food was greasy and over cooked or there was hardly anything in the portion. Such a shame as once was a great takeaway
