Food was nice, but a little overcooked. Service was slow and a little disorganised. Not at all bad, but there are better places locally

A little border gem, with an open fire and warm atmosphere. If you are a tourist and just crossing the border, call in here and sample a really lovely inn.

Food poisoned by a raw burger. Staff didn’t know left from right all night gave people the wrong food and sides multiple times I’ve never seen such a disgrace like it will never be back

Was here recently and food ok but service not good. Messaged later to book a table for Christmas. Told it was booked and had to pay a deposit. Happy to do this on my day off. Couple of days later, got a message to say table was given to someone else so no longer available. Contacted them by phone. Owner hung up on me when I told her that her customer service was poor.

We recently attended Smugglers Bar and Bistro for our Mothers/Grandmothers funeral and have nothing but good things to say about the service received. The food provided was excellent, and was well served by very professional waiting staff. Nothing at all was too much hassle for them and they took our unexpected early arrival in their stride and were very welcoming. Would highly recommend the restaurant for any occasion. Having also been in for dinner on another occasion, we can vouch for this too!

Hi we went for dinner . It was terrible I ordered tagatelli and it full of oil. Disgusting . And breast of chicken dry bland . Order was mixed up we got stuff we didn't order and was charged for it ..Staff not really professional . Terrible all.over would not recommend.

Now called Bridge 57, this is a lovely place to eat. Lovely atmosphere, great staff and delicious food. The brownie I had for dessert was the most delicious I've tasted in a while, perfect chocolatey squidginess. Definitely recommend it 👌

In there over an hour and only had starter which wasn't all said it would and when eventually got main both over cooked needless to say didn't stay for dessert..thank god for the wine ..very disappointing

I would definitely not recommend this place coz it took ages to get the food and wen it came it was really bad and the waiters were useless comin out with one plate at a time I would rather get served food by a cow, I would think the chef was busy I’d definitely hope so otherwise

I don't like writing bad reviews however I feel this place needs a good shake. Food is sub standard. Hot wings - Frozen breaded wings deep fried with hot sauce thrown over the top. Not pleasant. Main- chicken stack- the chicken was not pleasant either frozen fillets are used or they are cooked way in advance and heated up in a microwave because they don't taste fresh and are chewy. Chips etc. very good making me think if you want a standard chippy style food then it might be ok. Desert- Pavlova with toffee sauce. This was the worst course of 3 poor courses. The meringue was raspberry with toffee sauce and Maltesers over it with ice cream. Who in their right mind puts raspberry meringue with toffee sauce. Revolting. Not cheap, standard priced but the crown jewel was when after we finished our drinks and asked for a jug of juice they charged £2.00 for it. £130 down the drain and I wont be back. There are much better alternatives not too far away and just a very disappointing meal. One of the members of staff also seemed to be giving another member of staff a very hard time which was not pleasant to watch.

Have visited Smugglers a few times and it gets better every time! You won't leave hungry that's for sure as the portions are enormous! Staff are lovely and the prices are very competitive! Highly recommended!

Called in here for a bite the food nor staff service did not disappoint and they accept euro being right on the border of Tyrone/donegal staff are friendly and helpful only fault is the place is a bit dark could do with a lick of paint and bright lighting maybe a bit of updating but dont let that put you off good value for money.

Services was very bad when most of us was on main others was on starters not good

Booked the bar for dinner for a 2pm reservation ,arrived at 2.05, waited 15mins for girl to acknowledge us so eventually got menu's. Ordered at 2.25, ordered starters and mains, one starter came out and no sign of the other... "3 garlic mushrooms" may I add!!! Miserable i would think! Anyway my stater never came! So we thought ok sure we will say nothing and wait om main! Well we waited n waited and still no sign , not one waitress came over to acknowledge or say sorry for the delay so we decided after 55mins to leave. Went up to pay for the mushrooms and the drink and the girl said well I didn't put your order into the kitchen until 2.25 to which I had to reply thats because it took u so long to come down to take the order in the first place! Absolute joke! Learn how to run a place! Will not return.

We got there at 11am and ordered our food at 11.05 at 11.50 we were still waiting we asked how much longer it would be we were told the chief doesn't start cooking an until 12pm so they expected us to sit waiting for about an hour an half before getting our food they didn't have the decency to tell it would be at least 90 minutes wait

This was my first time trying this place, I pre ordered off the valentine's menu for delievery for 5.30 for a 3 course meal and cocktails, very disappointed the food was over a hour late was cold and never received are starters, I phoned so they could rectify it with no answer to there phones tried again the following day still no answer. I even tried to message them on Facebook still no reply.

£30 for valentines package. Excelent food giveaway price includes 2 drinks. Unbeatable 3 course meal for 2 incl drinks. Take a bow **********

I’ve eaten in smugglers a few times now and every time ime there it’s the same high quality from the waitresses to management their service is excellent nothings a bother to them as for their food it’s absolutely delicious keep up the good wood work I will definitely be back

Sooo disappointed in our visit to smugglers this evening.. Food when we finally got it steak ordered medium to well presented rare chicken served luke warm 2hr wait for two courses non existant waiting staff.. Eat out to help out iniative sounds fab but if you can't provide the service don't sign up to it.

Myself, my husband and 2 children decided to go here for Father’s Day, have been here many time before which was great, however ever this time was far from that.. To start we were handed sticky menus with food on them & not a price to be seen... My husbands & kids meals was fine I ordered the chicken which was raw and the waitress took away my plate and came back to say the chef said it wasn’t raw (I can cook myself I know the difference between raw chicken & a vein!) but it would be knocked off the bill. Anyway started to order our deserts and the waitress said I’ll come back when the kids are ready, we were just in the middle of ordering, when she rudely interrupted.. 20 mins later passed & we decided to leave, don’t think the chicken was knocked of the bill as it was expensive however it’s hard to know when there was no price.. anyway they have certainly lost our custom.

Fanatic food and brilliant atmosphere and good value

My Wife and I visited here recently, we hadn't booked but got a table no problem. The polite and helpful waitresses are a credit to this establishment, nothing was too much trouble for them.The food was excellent with plenty of choice for even the fussiest eater and there are a good choice of wines and a full bar to choose from.There is a 20% discount off your food bill on Weekdays as well.We're looking forward to returning soon.

Took my family to smugglers inn for my sons birthday we all had different dishes from steak to chicken which were all lovely couldn't fault the food in any way. The desert were also very good and the service and staff were so nice and friendly had a great meal

La última vez que comimos aquí, que tenía pocas esperanzas y me sorprendió gratamente, así que estaba emocionado por volver. Debería haber mantenido mi esperanza bajo para mi segunda visita. No sabíamos que había un menú de almuerzo de domingo en contraposición a la carta, así que creo que fue el primer tema (no necesariamente el del restaurante, pero creo que marcan la pauta. ) No había opción vegetariana en el menú (en este día y edad). Cuando pregunté había un par de opciones opciones no obstante aburrido, pero. Nos informaron, ya que nos dieron los menús que no había carne a la izquierda. Después de pedir bebidas, nos informaron de que no tenían agua con gas a la izquierda u otras bebidas gaseosas, aparte de la coca-cola/Fanta etc. estándar Los vasos estaban sucias, la cubertería era grasiento. La comida era básica. Filetes eran cocidas por la orden. Me dieron una pasada pan naan junto con mi curry de verduras. Los postres eran decentes, pero cuando fuimos a pedir café, la máquina estaba rota. El ambiente era aburrido y la música estaba muy alta. . . demasiado ruidoso. Las camareras eran muy agradable y atento, que es lo único verdaderamente positivo que puedo decir. Es altamente improbable que volveré.

Went here to eat with family. Staff very attentive and nothing was too much bother. Good was great, plenty of it. Menu includes a large selection which catered for everyone in our group. Price reasonable.

Aquí un par de veces para comer el domingo y yo acabamos de regresar debido a la excelente comida y servicio que proporciona. Me tome mis hijos aquí que son 5 y 2 y tienen una gran variedad y siempre están dispuestos a intentar acomodar cualquier noción de comida que deseen. El almuerzo de los domingos es de gran calidad y siempre es deliciosa con grandes porciones de tamaño de hecho a veces no es posible montar en el desierto. Volveré aquí y es un sitio que recomendaría a cualquiera.

Tuvimos una cena aquí esta noche. El menú tiene un montón de opciones. El personal es muy amable y servicial, nos trajo un colorear de ceras y para mi bebé. Algunos de los platos son probablemente un poco caro, pero la calidad de la comida es muy alto me siento así puede esperar pagar un poco más. En general, quedamos muy impresionados. Sigan con el buen trabajo.

Cant say enough about the Smugglers Inn, The food was great, the band were lively, and the staff were amazing...... GREAT night out.

Went out for Father's Day and it seemed as if the crowd was to much we had our starters were excellent but then it went downhill from there had to wait over an hour for our mains which wasn't easy with an 18 month old and the food wasn't as good as it always is then had to wait over a half hour to get the table cleared after we asked for it to be done,wouldn't put me off going back just not on a busy day!! I have to say that the food is normally excellent!!!!

Ive visited the Smugglers a fair few times in the last few years and have always been more than happy with the service and their food. Today was a complete disappointment to say the least, with it being fathers day i booked a table of 4 adults and one baby only to turn up and be told they had no highchairs left for my 1 year old!! Myself, my partner and my mother and father then had to wait a half hour before anyone came to take our order and we had to ask to be served our drinks. The drinks took 20 minutes to come and the starters a half hour, we then had to wait 20 for the table to be cleared and 45 minutes for our main course which was made up of wrong orders and overcooked chicken whilst my child was giving off due to being so hungry to then find her food inedible to say the least! My partner then had to go into the bar and get himself a drink when we were told someone would get us drinks in a minute to only not return. Overall it was a majorly disappointing evening with the only apolodys made being that they were busy (having 5 tables in) it will definitely be a very long time before me or my family return here again.

Booked a table for 7 for Sunday dinner and the premises is nice but the dinner was desperate no beef at 2 o clock for an hour ,potatoes were far too salty ,roast potatoes were watery you just wouldn't want to eat them ,desert was fresh fruit salad ,which consisted of half a thinly sliced apple in juice with a little piece of kiwi,had to return that it was a joke really so it's any wonder it was so quiet in there at a normally busy time of day .will not ever go back there again

The food was average Luke warm but the waiting In between courses is ridiculous. I waited about 15 minutes for soup then about 30 for main and about 20 for a dessert.

Been here recently couldn't fault the food and the service but the price was a bit too much but part from that it was perfect

Booked for my boys confirmation Sunday 24 April. 12 adults 8 children. ordered 3 course meal. told waiteress starter,main,dessert. ordered kids meals. got starter kids got meals. floor staff were very slow clearing the tables. waiting on desserts was told that their was only 3 desserts left and could get something else in its place which wasnt on the menu. some adults not very happy. ordered kids ice cream took ages to be served. had too ask for it twice. meanwhile dishes not collected off the table. ive been to the smugglers lots of times but it will be along time before i go back.
