Poor service from woman behind bar with blonde hair, pub wasn't busy and we were only in for a quick quiet drink, as we approached bar she said to wait on everyone as folk vaping then said as last person got in no-one would be served as one mate had weird eyes, to which he was totally fine. 2 of the lads kinda waited on late response as thought it was a wind up. Defo not be back and defo wouldn't recommend, place is a shambles!!!!😡😡

Never got severed with friends for being drunk, our group had only 1 drink previous to visiting the establishment. Barmaid was very rude

Very poor service, we entered this bar and after 2 seconds we were refused service due to barmaid didn't like the look of us we are disappointed, barmaid was acting very strange and full of cheek we decided to move on to the next establishment who very happy to welcome our custom and made our night

Had a couple of drinks here the only negative very uncomfortable seats that was the only reason we left...stools a no no...higher chairs not good for pensioners 😭

"spit and sawdust" type of pub. Does beer and nothing fancy. Has a pool table and a juke box. What more do you want?

Authentic bar experience meeting lovely locals and friendly tourists. Then there is Louise! As visitors we appreciated the generous sharing of inside info and golf tidbits.

Told to leave by the landlady for singing happy birthday for a freinds 60th.Even the locals voiced their disapproval about her decision. Go and have a drink, but dont enjoy yourself.. otherwise YOU BARRED !!

Zero stars A group of us went into smugglers and had a couple of drinks. I picked some music on the jukebox, and we were singing along. Within 5 seconds, the manager was over saying "this is not a karaoke bar." Then, she refused us service, and we were told it was time to leave. Now, I understand this approach if customers are rude, offensive, or drunk. However, none of us were. I was so taken aback. My suggestion for you going forward is to remove the jukebox to defer your customers from singing along to a song in the first place rather than charging them for playing the song. Also, maybe put up signs saying no singing as many customers have complained about similar treatment in the past. I will never be back and will pass on the word to others.

Awful pub . Was in on a Saturday afternoon for my aunts birthday celebration. Was 7 of us ages 31-61. After putting some money in the jukebox we were told to stop singing its not a karaoke bar. Then refused service at the bar and told to go elsewhere. The bar maid has an awful manner. There is other reviews about ‘vile barmaid and crabit barmaid “ so im assuming its the same person. Also the round previous to getting refused service another barmaid was encouraging shots. I think maybe the staff need to be on the same page. Defo do not go if you want a fun night out.

Lovely pub but dreadful management. Can’t understand why the woman behind the bar chose to work in the hospitality industry as there’s nothing hospitable about her. We were told to leave after singing along to the jukebox in no uncertain terms. No wonder pubs are closing at the rate they are when they have this attitude to customers. We did leave and spent our money in a lovely pub close by. Will never return to smugglers and will warn friends and family not to visit

Ended our evening here following a visit to Prestwick for a Christmas works lunch. Can get busy at times.

In 2005, my sister, brother and I were stuck in the rain, having missed our flight. We stumbled into this pub and played pool with some locals our age (19-23ish). My sister kicked their butts at pool and we all became friends. They let us crash at theirs instead of sleep at the airport. They fed us and bought flats of white cider for us and made a huge breakfast in the morning. They even gave us cab fare. We exchanged info so we could return the favor when we got back to the states, but we lost all their info, so if this sounds familiar to anyone, please know we think of you and that night at Smugglers all the time. Also, everyone at the bar was awesome and gave us money to play the jukebox and bought us shots. We loved this bar so much!

Lovely traditional pub setting, pool table, quiz machine and outstanding juke box (with a vast selection Iron Maiden to Abba via Dolly Parton) friendly welcoming staff (Louise is fantastic) and decent selection behind the bar. It's not a trendy wine bar or a wetherspoons, it's an authentic pub.

Fantastic pub. Louise makes everyone who drinks here feel that they are special. Always takes the time to spend a few minutes with every single person in the pub. She also recruits really well, bar staff tonight have been outstanding. Friendly yet no nonsense approach. Just love the place. David.

It was a very good night out with my friend and I would go back too it any time in the future as I look at it as one of my favourite bar's to go to in the town

A group of 13 of us in on a Saturday afternoon celebrating my dads 81st birthday after a great overnight at the Parkstone. After putting fiver in duke box and ordering our 2nd drink we were then told of for singing along to the music by the less than friendly barmaid. We were informed it wasnt a karaoke bar and if we wanted to sing to go elsewhere. Have visited Prestwick on many occasions and always received a friendly welcome in any pub we have been in until now. Needless to say we left and took our business elsewhere. Avoid at all costs if you want to enjoy yourself.

Very friendly pub. And as previously mentioned our dog was also made very welcome with a drink and a chew bar. please also note that although toilets were basic they were spotless and had a lovely smell of baby powder in them.
