Tasteless food, uninterested staff and overpriced. It wasn’t busy when we visited but the staff seemed like they was all asleep, no cutlery and food still sitting on tables. We was disappointed especially with what we paid.

I like the idea of the way they're serving out the meal, "buffet-style" but in this case, the staff will be dishing out the food. -the staff are very good. -the taste of the food we're great overall. -decent portions on your plate, even for kids meal was substantial. -I like the bit where u have refillable soda drinks. -would have been better if the theme park food isn't too overpriced,

I'd rather send my child on holiday with the McCans then eat here again. The.BBQ beans were okay. But there Beans!! Shocking ! Awful.

Just terrible. £12.55 for a Pulled Pork Brioche - pink, fatty and flavourless. Chips and wedges with a weird sweet flavour to them. Kids meals - the chicken mini fillets - processed awful grey coloured meat. Staff were terrific but let down by dreadful quality food.

My family and I had a half day in the park before heading home. As the Smokehouse is central we thought it an ideal place to grab a bite to eat before heading off. First off we had to queue for a table even though there were at least 7+ empty tables in front of us. We were told this was because the kitchen needed to catch up with orders so we had a 10 minute wait. Not overly impressed considering we had a very hangry toddler with us. Meanwhile, a bunch of families took seats on the benches outside and were told they could place orders immediately?! Go figure. We walked in, grabbed an empty table and proceeded to order via the app/QR code. Simple enough. X2 kids hotdog meals with veggies, X1 jalapeño hotdog with sweet potato fries and X1 pulled pork burger with sweet potato fries. The order told us 30 minutes. Fine. 25 mins later I checked my email and realised 15 minutes earlier I’d received an email saying our order was ready? I went to the counter but was told this was just a procedural thing they have to do to get the orders in to the kitchen. The order wasn’t ready is was being put together. Riiiiight. So our order finally turns up. The pulled pork order is correct but lukewarm at best. My jalapeño hotdog is cold and has fries with some odd powdery substance over them. Definitely not sweet potato fries. My kids hotdogs were also cold but it was the side veggies that annoyed me the most. The cucumber was soggy and the carrot batons were more dry than a Jacobs cracker. This should be simple, fast food. It’s absolutely the opposite of that. It’s awful. Oh, and all this cost close to £40!!! Hotdogs are a simple fare to prepare. The rolls are cold so no dramas there. Cucumber and carrot batons take, at the very most, a few minutes to prepare. SO WHY THE HELL DID THEY GET IT SO VERY WRONG?! I can only put it down to awful management by all concerned. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

The service is terrible. Took them 20mins to take our order and was only after I had to point out that we were still waiting. They didn't give us our refillable cups, and after 30mins of arriving I went to the counter and collected them myself. At least we had a drink! When the food finally arrived at our table 25mins after ordering there were errors in the order. Having pointed this out we put up with the food delivered as we didn't want to wait a further 25 mins for them to correct the errors. I wouldn't recommend this fast food eatery. Service is terrible, food quality is poor and restaurant was not very clean. Best avoide.

Hit and miss either the best place ever and it’s cooked amazing. Or it’s not rendered right and soggy can never tell which you will get sadly.

This place is dirty, the floor have food all on it, the QR menu is a waste of time, half the staff don’t speak good English and the food is a sloppy mess, overpriced and not good

We ate in the restaurant today. There was a QR code - you scan, order and pay through your mobile phone - takes 20 minutes longer than if you just tell the guy. But, what killed me, is that there was no soap in the outdoor sink for children to wash their hands. But the QR code is there. Anyone else seeing my point? When I told the waitress, she said there is soap in the bathroom INDOORS.

Purchased the 1/2 rack of ribs. Bit into it it was cold, hard flavourless and all round awful and not worth the money I paid. I went back to exchange the ribs, which the member of staff agreed to do due to the standard of the food and I instead got the jalapeno hot sausage which was better. Upon leaving I noticed there was a price difference between the ribs and the sausage and at the time I exchanged ⁸I was not made aware if this or offered the difference for a refund. We also purchased the creamed corn again this was poor. It wasn't cooked well at all! Some was over done, some was under cooked. It was as if old corn had been reheated from previous day and mew corn mixed in with it. There was an absolutely maximum of 6 tables occupied during our time in the restaurant, it wasn't busy at all and there were lots of staff standing around just chatting, yet there were tables which needed clearing away and wiping down, there was dirt and rubbish over the floor as it wasn't being kept swept. On a plus side the kids hotdog was good along with the kids portion size. My wife enjoyed her pulled pork sandwich. So some aspects were very good but overall the general cleanliness, quality of the food, cost of food and experience would stop us from returning.

Not going to dwell too much as it’s a meal I want to forget. Positives: lots of seating, that’s about it Negatives: - the meat, in particular the beef, was so dry it turned into rock. And that was while it was sitting at the serving counter! The lady serving then proceed to try to cut it, and even though she knew it was tough and dry, still decided to put it on our plate - the mac and cheese was literally boiled pasta with grated cheese scattered on top and liquid smoke sprayed on it. The smoke was so overpowering it was like eating burnt toast. Disgusting. - the creamed corn was not creamy and had pepper bits so turned more Asian than Texan. - the Jalapeño sausage was dry and over cooked I’m getting tired of Theme Parks promoting bad food, it’s not difficult to make good tasty food that can make a good profit. You might as well or a McDonalds in there and increase your price by 20%, would be much more satisfying

This is situated in the heart of the zoo. And it is a good idea but lacked favour and taste. Also the Que system did not work.

Wouldn't come back, unless you had sauce on it everything was pretty much bland, got here at the opening of the kitchen on the day and within 5 minutes the chicken was sold out? The trays smelt like stagnated water. And some other family members food was really dry, specially the brisket. Creamed corn was basically just wet corn with no taste, mac n cheese was dry and again bland. Would rather have gone to vampire burger kitchen as have never had a bad meal there.

Love it. Never disappointed. Ribs, brisket, smoked chicken. Jalapeño sausage. The sides (beans, corn etc.) aren’t great, everything else is. Can not fault it. Well worth the money. 5* Good staff. Ps it shuts 3:30-4:00 don’t leave it too late!

Um, can't really describe this any other way. Meat was drink. Hot dog roll was dry. The drinks were wet luckily!

Smokehouse is an excellent BBQ restaurant. The food was super tasty, the service was faultless and the atmosphere is lively and colourful. A great place to go with friends for a fun night out!

Great to have a different food option at Chessington but the ad ons were really expensive (cookie and donuts) that made kids meals really expensive. Kids portion of macaroni cheese was the smallest I've ever seen.

We went here as we were running late and the kids menu prices looked good. However the girls wanted add on donuts and the portion size of macaroni cheese was the smallest I've ever seen for a kids meal. Hence value very poor.
