This place is quite hard to find, gave up looking for it once before as not many signs to direct you. Did manage to get there today. They have six skips for growing plants which they use for salads and other foods. There is a greenhouse made out of recycled windows which looks great. The cafe have a good selection of coffees and teas, some cakes and scones. Prices are very reasonable, staff are friendly. The garden/kitchen keeps moving around while the area is being built up, they are now on their 4th location. Most of the materials used are recycled local building materials, particularly scaffolding boards. Worth having a look when in the area.

The Skip Garden is a highly unusual and innovative space. First and foremost, it is a lovely garden created from recycled industrial products - themed gardens in skips (hence the name!) - including an amazing greenhouse made from recycled windows, a work of art in itself. Of course, the produce must be put to good use, and it is, in the pleasant onsite café. Lunch is prepared daily and includes original takes on classic soups, as well as other tasty home-produced dishes. There are regular themed evening and weekend events too. If you find yourself in the King's Cross re-development area search out the Skip Garden. It's only a 20-minute walk from King's Cross-St. Pancras, so even Eurostar travellers could pop in!! As I have done a few times!!

A joy to wander and breath in the calm relaxed atmosphere so close to the chaos of Kings Cross. Staff were friendly and helpful, tea was, good quality, plentiful and very cheap for London - 3 pots for under a fiver!

Came here total by chance whist walking around the Kings Cross/ Regents Canal area, for a drink before heading home. The Tea & Coffee was very good and at a very good price as most Tea & Coffee is over-priced. The garden were all the produce that is used in the kitchen was a really clever idea, I wish more people had more creative ideas when it came to growing vegetables and fruit in small spaces, the bug hotels were cute to. Will come back there for lunch at some point in the future.

Lovely spot in middle of kings cross development. Cheese scones straight out of oven and coffee equal to the mainstream outlets at granary square.

Garden with a metro city view. Surprises at every nook and corner. The cauliflower, cumin and tahini soup is the best soup I eat in a while. Cheese scones are to die for! The staffs are friendly, makes you feel welcome. Overall, it's a place I'd like to take my friends to the next time I come to London. Excellent!

I stumbled upon this cafe at lunch time and was treated to a variety of vegan sandwiches and salad, all of which were absolutely delicious. Great value for money and a rustic Bohemian feel to the cafe which is a breath of fresh air in the newly renovated Kings Cross area.

I visited here on 15th September 2016 for a lunch meeting with a friend. I pass here almost everyday on my way in to work and my friend actually recommended it. The food is reasonably priced and is freshly prepared daily. Some of the ingredients and herbs are grown on the plot surrounding the "container" style structure. We were lucky enough to visit on a warm day so the ambience was particularly inviting. Staff were friendly and prompt and I could see that they took care in preparing each order as they have an open style kitchen whereby you can see the food being prepped. I ordered a Butternut Squash and Quinoa salad. I have to be honest it was just a salad I was not expecting anything out of the ordinary BUT I have to say it's one of the best salads that I've ordered. Really tasty, so much so I asked for the recipe. Such a great concept will definitely be visiting again. Highly recommend.

Found the Skip Garden and Cafe when exploring the back of Kings Cross which is being re-developed. The developers have temporarily given over some land for this garden and cafe. There's also an open air pool and viewing area. Really enjoyed wandering around the funky garden and the little ramshackle cafe. What a find in the middle of London. Will be back. Shame it can't stay

what an absolute gem in the middle of London. All built out of scrap, loving the window glass house. The food and drinks are lovely and tasteful, outdoors oven baked pizza, a tipi and viewing platform.

What a find, in the heart of the booming multi-acred, high-rise Kngs Cross regeneration project, where a group called Global Generation has created a food-growing allotment, whose structure is almost entirely (and attractively) created from what the builders have discarded, such as the eponymous 'skip'...

We loved our lunch at Carrots and Daikon yesterday. I had the garlic tofu Banh mi and my husband had the tofu lunch box. The baguette forming my Banh mi was the perfect combination of crunch with a soft centre and the tofu was nicely garlicky. What really made our day were the ice creams! The chrysanthemum and mango ice cream was such a fantastic combination and the matcha and pistachio was delicious too. We then bought one of each of the other flavours and I must admit that the combinations are creative genius! Who would’ve thought that mint choc chip would go with coffee and raspberry and jasmine tea with its floral notes would hit the spot?! I thought that the coconut and lemongrass was super refreshing too. Thank you to the friendly folk at C & D.

Opened last year or early this year..very pleasant and airy bar / cafe, which if you're arriving early for a meeting or finishing early, is a nice place to chew over the errors in your recent ritual meeting! As usual in London all a bit pricey but very convenient after a meeting in the Temples. Very bright and tastefully decorated with the usual good staff.
