Sizzling Pig Café in Derby

We were hoping for something a little different for a treat and after finding this place rang before ordering to check they could accommodate a very picky child. They were incredibly friendly and polite on the phone, the food was still hot when it arrived and was packaged really well (even the hot chocolate survived an uber driver getting lost). It was absolutely delicious, roasts were crispy,meat melted in your mouth, and the gravy and Yorkshires were perfect. Honestly couldn't fault a thing if we wanted to.

Consistently good coffee, and excellent bacon rolls (flat white and bacon roll for £6.60 this morning). Definitely recommended.

Drove miles to this place saying open for it to be closed waste of time and fuel and nobody answered the phone

Came to Spondon for a look around, to kill a bit of time, and was wondering where to stop off for a drink and a bite to eat. Ended up coming across the Sizzling Pig Café which, thankfully, wasn't too busy and so there were a number of tables and seats available. We opted for the comfy settee, looking out onto the street, so we were able to relax and enjoy, watching the world and people go by. The hot chocolate was perfect, along with the sausage and bacon cobs we ordered too. The cobs were super soft, the sausages well-cooked and the bacon thick and delicious. For the hot chocolate, two teas and two sausage and bacon cobs, it came to a little over £16, which is great value for money. I'd definitely recommend coming here, if you're looking for a place, to rest your feet for a while, people-watch, and enjoy a drink and a snack.

A very nicely served Caffé Latté. Just the right place for a morning coffee. Treet yourself have one of the wraps. You can always take it home if you are in hurry. If you like a nice simple bacon roll this is the place to go. A very popular place. 25/10/2022 Had a good breakfast and a Latte'. Just right. 17/02/2023 Had a rather pleasant chicken roll and a latte. Very good place for a quick snack during the day.

I'm loving the porky Yorkie wrap and the breakfast wrap. Freshly made to order so always hot and very filling. The down side for me is parking which is a small side carpark usually full or park across the road behind co-op. It's a shame you don't open before 9am as missing most of the worker traffic and a bigger shame you weren't open on Monday when I last went by, as I would be eating your porkie Yorkie on my day off work.

The food was excellent and the counter service was friendly and efficient however, there was a communication problem in the kitchen. We asked for a breakfast Yorke without egg and a porkie Yorkei without apple source but both came with the accompaniment that we had asked not to receive. We spoke to the girl who took the order and she wrote it down correctly. We think that having pointed out the error it would have been right to receive an acknowledgement from the kitchen staff but nothing came. Its not so much the error as we can all make them but its the lack of acknowlegement that makes the difference on customer service.

The beef wrap is absolutely magical. A perfect on the go lunch for anyone. Today was exceptional. The flavour and tenderness of the beef was absolutely spot on and I genuinely cannot fault it. Great work 10/10

I can’t even put into words how unbelievable these yorkie wraps are!! It’s the best invention ever, tried the beef, chicken and a sausage and bacon cob. The beef melts in your mouth, the chicken with stuffing is unreallllllll and they cooked my bacon crispy just like I asked! So filling too!! The lads in there are great, super friendly and the service has always been to a high standard. Thank you sizzling pig for creating such a delightful menu!

After a long wait, I finally got round to visiting this place. Unfortunately there were alot of things sold out, however I went with the “Pigs in Blankets, Yorkshire Pudding Wrap”. I was pleasantly surprised by it being bursting with tasty food, to accompany it I of course had a flat white. The only reason for not giving a 5 star, is due to entrance being kept jammed open, letting the cold air in.

I really like the Porky Yorkie's here. Now that I've sussed not to arrive towards the end of service, I can usually get what I want. Reasonable prices and pleasant staff.

Great Food Really Friendly Staff

Came here a couple of weeks ago and had a pork, stuffing and apple sauce cob. Amazing. Here again and had a beef, gravy and a bit of horse radish cob. Amazing. Generous portions of meat and great service.

Best pork sandwiches in Derbyshire

The best place to eat especially on these cold rainy days. The Yorkshire pudding wraps are absolutely delicious and it's such good value for money. Coffee is fantastic and John and George offer amazing customer service. A must try if you're around the area!

Going to cost me a fortune working in Wirksworth with this round the corner 😁 although very reasonably priced! 😉
