Amazing restaurant with some of the British classics like fish and chips and sausage and chips

Don’t bother!! Waited nearly 20 minutes for a large piece of cod and haddock to be cooked and what a disappointment that turned out to be! Service was poor and only got served because I interrupted the lady from chitchatting with a friend by asking how much longer it was going to be as my daughter, and myself, were getting bored senseless with the wait which in the end it wasn’t worth it anyway. Both the Cod and Haddock were covered in extremely greasy batter that took several pieces of kitchen roll to absorb what we could before it went cold. Even though we asked for large chips 50% of what we got was inedible “bits” that went in the bin. In total 1 small Cod, 1 Med Cod, 1 Haddock and 1 large chips came to £21 which isn’t a huge amount but there wasn’t a single thing in there that I could recommend to anyone, food wise or service wise and won’t be going there again or recommending it to anyone.

Have always gone there love the fish chips 🍟 saveloy sausage in batter and the scampi.

Amazing food for great price including OAP and child's menu !! Homemade curry sauce is to die for !!! Slightly different each time but always tastes amazing even when warmed up the next day

Conventional fish and chip shop, take away service only. Clean and bright, staff polite and efficient.

One of the best chicken burgers in town. 10/10. I don't just get one. I normally get 3 or 4 at once definitely top marks on there burgers 👍

Just had a bag of chips from this shop just as the shop opened at 11.45am and the chips were awful. The tasted stale, like they had been re-heated from the day before. They were tough and chewy and cold in the middle. Very disappointed. Put them in the bin.

This is by far the best Fish & Chips ( Not as popular because it’s lesser known ) in Welwyn Garden City for many reasons. The food is of very good quality, generous portions, great value for money & they have a good variety to choose from. The service is friendly & welcoming every time & they have fantastic hygiene standards. I highly recommend trying this chippy, it’s underrated in the town & deserves a try for your meal instead of the other overly priced chip shops in Welwyn Garden City. I haven’t bothered to try the others on offer since finding this gem, it’s just too reliable & serves quality every time.

Love this chip shop .I got my wedding food from them , for 60ish people .it was hot and tasty. All our guests commented on how lovely there food was . Thanks so much guys 😊

Excellent fish and chips - consistently good food, good value, nice staff, and the biggest portions of chips I've had anywhere. As a family of four we go for three fish, one large chips, one mushy peas and one curry sauce, which is more than enough and costs around £15. Note that the curry sauce is not your typical chip-shop-curry-sauce. It is quite different and is a bit spicy with a chinese curry flavour. It is delicious though.
