We had a takeaway so can't comment on the atmosphere. Requested vegan options so when we rang we asked what can be made vegan and what dishes can have the fish sauce removed. We had the tofu stir fries, the tofu ginger is the best. Very tasty, but a bit expensive for a takeaway.

Beautiful service by beautiful people. The food is unutterably divine. Well priced Everything seems to be prepared from scratch; it therefore isn't SPEEDY (when the world seems to expect WAY too much super fast service). But we were happy to wait, especially when we found the food was so so good

Brilliant Thai restaurant. We were on holiday and hadn't been there before and normally when we go somewhere new, we get served up rubbish. Not the case here. Perfect place to take the family or get a takeaway. We had takeaway but the food was as if we were eating in. Friendly staff, great food and I would recommend to all.

As locals to Norton, this was our first visit since Simply Thai have returned to the new premises. What a wonderful experience! Lovely staff and astonishingly delicious food. We loved everything. Wonderful! Lovely well decorated, clean restaurant.

Just went in on the off chance that we could get a table and we were greeted with friendly helpful staff. The service was very good and the food was amazing. The price was reasonable including drinks (£55 for 2 people). We will definitely be going again and recommend. 5*

Simply Thai is the best restaurant in Midsomer Norton, we’re so lucky to have such an authentic Thai restaurant in this town! The food is delicious, made with fresh ingredients with love and care put into making it. The staff are all so lovely and friendly, and it’s a beautifully decorated restaurant. Please never leave Midsomer Norton again!

Absolutely amazing! 6 of us dined and we all loved our food, it was so fresh and really tasty. You have to get the mixed starter platter, it was incredible! And the prawn crackers are not to be missed. Service is so friendly and welcoming. I wish you all the best for the future and hope you continue to flourish in your business!

Fantastic genuine Thai family run restaurant in Midsomer Norton. Service is great, you wont find yourself short of a drink at any point at all. The food is amazing, try the Drunken Beef if you like a bit of Spice! Very friendly staff. Have also had takeaway, and the lady was very, very helpful in recommending various dishes to try, including vegetatian options. An excellent asset to Midsomer Norton.

Wow! A lovely little restaurant with the nicest, most welcoming staff. Our first visit and we will be back. A full restaurant and staff clearly very busy, but they didn't miss a beat - great customer service. Food was delicious and there was a great choice on the menu. It did get very noisy in there as there is little to dampen the sound, but it was all happy chatter, that we enthusiastically added too! Sad that they shut at 9:30pm as we would have loved to linger a while longer to finish the wine - but they kindly corked it back up for us to take home.

We had a lovely meal here tonight and really enjoyed it. We both had the green Thai curry, mine with prawns, my wife’s with vegetables. Both meals were delicious, very flavourful and for a good price. The staff also are delightful. I would thoroughly recommend Simply Thai.

Very glad to be able to enjoy such well presented and tasty Thai food. Was there to celebrate my cousin's birthday. The staff are all friendly and polite. The new venue is great as much more room. Only tiny grump is that the acoustics make it very "loud / echoey". The menu is great plenty of choice without being too much and good value for money. A nice selection of wines and bottled beers/ciders, also some spirits. WouLd highly recommend a visit if you like Thai food - definitely YUM YUM YUM!

very disappointing... the thai fish cakes were tasteless, deep fried and dripping with fat as were the deep fried vegetables; the duck was beautifully cooked but no compromises were possible for anyone with food allergies; management would not come and discuss the situation even though the restaurant was half empty. i probably wont return

Very disappointing experience. Having spent over £75 on a takeaway I arrived home to find we were missing a dish, called back and was told they would refund the cost of the dish which was £12.95 (which really is not the point here) however that was Friday today is Monday and no sign of a refund. Food was ok but paying for a dish I did not receive leaves a very bad taste in the mouth.

Food was amazing was worth the 20mile drive. Will be definitely going back.. probably the best masaman iv ever had.

Ordered a take away tonight, the food was good but we ordered 2 starters and two mains, you have to buy the rice separate, but was extremely disappointed as we ordered duck roll as a starter and they only give you two with a very small pot of sauce which cost £7.25 just for this one starter it is very expensive for a take away and unfortunately would not return.

I visited with friends last night. The food was excellent, as were the staff. The new restaurant is beautiful. It's so good to have you back after a few years away, and in a great new location too.

Simply Thai restaurant serves the best Thai food you you could ever want to eat. They have just moved to new premises which is an improvement on their other site. The service is friendly, attentive and very professional. The food is excellent and this is why we will keep going there over and over again!!

Having recently moved to MN we walked in on a Friday and they squeezed us in as they were fully booked (obviously). We had the mixed starter which was amazing, spring rolls, thai fish cake, shrimp in blanket and the sensational chicken satay. Most tables were having this. Then I had my usual penang curry, this was more aniseedy than others I’ve tried but it was still demolished. A couple of Singha’s downed (tiger also available). The service was great, very attentive and polite. You need to book this place as it’s going to be very popular.

EDITED TO ADD- They are open again! The food is just as delicious and the service just as welcoming. So pleased they are back, didn’t find anywhere close to this quality in the last 3 years. Really authentic Thai food and front of house service is perfect. The massaman is delicious, and the beef in holy basil has a good kick! The rib starter is amazing!

Good food, good service, good atmosphere, obviously depends on who you take, but otherwise perfect if you want a really tasty meal with friends.

Have loved this place since before it closed a few ago. Now it is back, better than ever. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Tried to get in here twice but was told on both occasions that it was fully booked, despite being almost completely empty on one of those visits.

One of our favourite take aways. the food is so tasty. We love the Beef in Holy Basil, Chicken Panang, and the Pineapple Fried Rice is the best ever.

Food was as always excellent but we had to wait almost a hour for our main course because of takeaway orders. Will be takeaways for us in future!

Amazing food and service, worth the drive.

Absolutely fantastic. Had a few days away in Somerset and chose to eat here the first night and we were blown away by the food. Between us we had the mixed starters, which were lovely, and then a Penang curry and a Phad Thai. Both were fantastic, and we really enjoy our Thai food and this was one of the best we've had! If only we lived closer!

Word don't really do their food any justice. You just haveto try it for yourself! Weather you eat in or takeaway you get well looked after here and they always remember me. I haven't found another Thai as good anywhere in the country. They should be called "simply 'the best' thai". Oh, and they have an excellent choice of beers and wines!!!!

Authentic and Delicious, highly recommended by all friends and family. Very friendly staff too.

Stayed at a local hotel, popped here as it was walking distance, wasnt especially expecting much, but was very pleasantly surprised. Food was absolutely delicious. Takeaway phone didn't stop ringing all night either, clearly popular with the locals. Would definitely reccomend giving it a go.

Small but chic Thai restaurant/takeaway on the mainstreet in Midsomer Norton. Clean and welcoming, the hostess constantly smiling and welcoming. Superb food in the best traditions of Thai cuisine. The well handled menues however, could do with a reprint. Very popular, both with locals and those who are prepared to travel - reservations vital, as very limited covers - even after their recent refit. Once visited, further visits will be unavoidable.
