The most delicious pad Thai I've ever eaten (I'm vegan). There were great fish and meat options too. Caters for GF too. Friendly service, would highly recommend!

The Pad Thai is possibly the best I've had in England so far, well worth visiting for, the satay chicken is good but needs a spicy sauce imo.

Absolutely amazing. In a busy bustling bath, this offered us a place to relax in a chilled atmosphere with amazing food. They also provided me with a tupperware for leftovers and were super friendly. Fab!!

Food was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. Didnt take long to be served after placing order. I ate twice here during my couple days in Bath. Servers were friendly, though EXTREMELY busy!

you know it’s an authentic restaurant the moment you walked in! we ordered the early dinner set at around £17/pax with a starter and a main! all are great but i think there are better options with the a la carte menu so you can try as well! overall great experience with this restaurant, good location!

Had a lovely meal here on our wedding anniversary. Best Thai meal I've had in years. Went with the set menu 'A' and enjoyed all of it. Service was excellent and prices very reasonable. I've always been a bit indifferent to Pad Thai noodles but my wife and I agreed the ones at the Salathai were amazing. Just wish we still lived close to Bath so we could visit the Salathai regularly.

Enjoyed the dinner. This was my second time in this restaurant. Delicious, good quality meals for good value menu. Friendly staff, nice location and warm environment. Lots of options for vegans/vegetarians/ non-vegan. Recommend for Thai food lovers.

I have been here a few times now. The service is very good, you don't have to wait too long for the food and it is overall a very pleasant environment.

IGNORE THE BAD REVIEWS, the most tasteful delicious Thai food I’ve had in a long time! Amazing service! I also have a severe Gluten allergy and the attention and care that went into ensuring I could eat was brilliant and with so many options to eat! This place is a must on a visit to Bath!

Looking for somewhere to eat out on a Sunday evening, when it seemed quite a few places were closed. We were staying nearby and had passed earlier in the day, and saw they were open 6-9 on a Sunday evening. Oh my goodness what a little gem. We had a set 2 course and we thought it was tremendous value. Spring rolls, chicken satay, pork and cashew nut stir fry, and my husband had the green thai curry. We followed with banana and pineapple fritters and ice cream. Haven’t seen fritters on a desert menu for ever, and were always a favourite. They didn’t disappoint. Yum yum. As I’m writing this, I wish I’d tried the pad Thai too. Ah well always another visit. Good to support a local family concern, rather than a chain. Well done to all concerned . A lovely experience.

horrendous! Severs are absolutely unaware of vegetarian options available thus suggesting options that are absolutely not vegetarian which is dangerous and unethical at best. What an absolute disgrace! Would acore zero stars if this was an option as the practice of this 'restaurant' is unsafe, uninformed and ignorant.

Amazing food that had amazing service

We had a sneaky take out from here whilst staying at our hotel in Bath as we couldn’t face eating out again. The food was delicious .

We thought we would give this restaurant a try. When we arrived at 8pm it was virtually empty. It was very cold in there and we kept our coats on. A young man came over to take our order but he was abrupt and glum. The food was okay but the Pinot Grigio was shockingly bad and we left it. I know we should have said something but we bothered by this time. The worst part though was having just had our starters being told that the kitchen would be closing at 8:30pm which made us feel we had to finish quickly and go. Will not be returning!

Good food experience with decent prices and taste.

As the Nepalese restaurant down the road was closed we thought we'd give one of Bath's several Thai restaurants a go. We were not disappointed. The meal for 2 at £28 a head was immense (the green Thai prawn curry and Sweet corn fritters - to my surprise - were stand - outs). Worth ordering the Thai crackers a go too. A big meal though so if you're not big eaters there is enough here for 3. Complimented by the Thai Red wine also. £80 all in is superb value in the current climate. Service was excellent too. Will defo visit again.

Our visit was lovely. I have an issue with my mobility and was able to park up my mobility frame up without a problem. The food was beautiful and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We would definitely go again 💜

Enjoyed a lunch here when visting Bath. Great value lunch menu including jasmine tea or coffee. Attentive staff, nice location and good quality food. Sweetcorn fritters as others have commented are very nice. Lots of options for vegans/vegetarians, one of our party had tofu which he said was very good.

This is the second time we’ve visited Bath and after a fabulous meal here last time we booked in advance. It was as good as before - food, staff all wonderful.

If I could give 6 starts I absolutely would! I have been here once before, last year, for a works Christmas dinner and although I couldn't remember the finer details of the night, I remembered that the food was incredible...particularly the Pad Thai. So I spent the whole year raving about it to my girlfriend before we finally picked an occasion to come and give it a go sober. As the day approached, I was nervous that I might have built it up too much, raved too hard about it if you will. This was absolutely not the case. I couldn't have raved hard enough. This in genuinely the best Thai food I've had outside of Thailand. My partner and I shared menu B and every single item on the menu was incredible. The portion sizes looked quite small on first glance but the overall amount of food defeated me (which is no easy feat) 11/10, absolutely recommend. Bring your friends, bring your family (if you like them). Really really very good. Not sure what else to say. An absolute gem! Thanks Salathai!

We ordered the steamed seabass fillet with a side of egg noodles. Plain fish and steamed veggies, along with some iceberg lettuce and shredded carrots, were floating on two fingers of unidentified broth. Pretty tasteless, but not as bad as the side. Literally a bowl of sticky, undressed, unsalted noodles. Unacceptable.

Had lunch here the other day. The interior was a little scruffy, but the staff - who appeared to be Chinese, not Thai, not least given that when a party of Thais entered, the staff could not understand them! The food was perfectly acceptable, albeit that it was "British Thai" - I lived several years in Thailand - and next time I'll ask for a bit more chili. Tap water was provided without asking, there was no pressure to buy drinks, and even the coffee was free. I'd visit again if looking for a quick lunch.

Had pad thai for lunch here. The ones I usually had in other authentic Thai restaurants over in Malaysia are drier, their pad thai is a bit more watery. But it still tastes pretty good. Serving time was quick as well. And most importantly they serve good food at a good price.

Best Thai food I have ever had (and I order a lot of thai food!). Ordered the Chicken Satay, Chicken Sesame Toast, and Hot Thai Red Curry. Chicken was succulent! “Early dinner menu” (6pm-7pm) means it’s only £16.95 for rice, main and starter. Highly recommend!

Tasty, authentic Thai food in an intimate setting. Quite basic in terms of decor and could do with a dust/clean in places but overall very good.

We stopped here for lunch because we saw there were a lot of people eating here. Sadly the food did not live up to our expectations. We were married in Thailand and have spent a lot of time traveling in that country. The food here is definitely not representative of Thai food. I ordered the papaya salad. It had a brown sauce on it and the chili tasted like some kind of chili powder you would get from a bag despite the presence of fresh Thai chilis in the dish. There was no dried shrimp and very little peanuts. I didn’t finish it and I would not recommend this dish. My husband had the Panang curry with chicken. There was more chicken fat than actual chicken and lots of dried. Chili flakes, the type you would get in an Italian restaurant to put on your pizza. The curry was more like a gravy and didn’t have the flavor of a panang curry at all. I’m not sure why this restaurant has the higher rating it has (4.8) but if you like Thai food and have eaten Thai food in the past you’d do well to stay away. This will not satisfy you at all. I’m sorry to say this is the worst Thai restaurant I have ever eaten at.

A bit disappointed in this to be honest based on previous reviews. Menu looked excellent - lots of good choices. Food was fine but not great, quite stodgy and not like Thai food I’ve had elsewhere. There was a hair in my starter. My plate wasn’t clean. We were wrongly charged for a large bottle of water rather than a small one. All in all not a disaster but I wouldn’t recommend

Not sure where it got its 4.6 Google review but came here on a Friday night and it was dire. Took 1.5.hrs to get mains and restaurant wasnt that busy. Stingy portions vis a vis the £. Not authentic. Sent dishes back. Would say from flavours that it was made with packets sauces. Yuck. I have visited Thailand multiple times, so have a good idea of how things should taste and this was like a cheap chinese takeaway. Go to Jean's Bistro in Bristol instead.

My sister and I had dinner here and it was very good. The food is delicious and the staff is very kind. The service is fast, and we had time to have a relaxing walk after dinner. Also the location is perfect: close to the most important sites of the city. 5 stars!

I read the reports and decided to have lunch here with friends. Positives: - Warm welcome - Good friendly service Disappointments: - Rather dark room in need of renovation - Cutlery stuffed into a box on the table - 1 unisex toilet with old fittings, dirty and definitely in need of renovating - We choose 3 different dishes on the lunch menu. All were small portions and tasteless. Broccoli, carrots and cauliflower are NOT in traditional Thai dishes. Hardly any spices. In some reviews, customers said that they had lived in Thailand and this was genuine Thai food similar to what they would get there. I strongly disagree. Were they friends of the owner writing a 'good' review, I wonder?? If you really know Thai food, don't come here!!!

Great service and value for money. We had the set menu, which gave plenty of food and contrasting flavours. Drinks were reasonably priced and the staff most attentive. This is a family run business, not part of chain, and you can tell that they value their customers.
