Simply delicious! Generous portions, the fresh bread is amazing. Tasty good quality meat. The staff are very friendly. Everything you could want from a local business. An asset to church road.

Super fresh, had a few Shawarma wraps from these guys now - great value and everything tastes amazing. You can tell all of the salads and sauces are homemade too. Highly recommend (cash only)

Bought 2 mixed shawarma boxes with fries, salad and a freshly cooked naan bread on the side- Insanely good!! Portion sizes are great and price is great too. Highly recommend

First time customer. Staff really friendly and helpful…. Said I was hungry and got exactly what I needed. Chicken, lamb shawarma with basmati rice, salad, chips, falafel and houmous. Tasted amazing! 🫡

These guys are great, passionate about their food and how fresh everything is, naans cooked to order and filled with all sorts of banging salads! Great find, found it after smelling and seeing people eating their food in the pub.ñ, and having to ask for here they went. £5.50 for a chicken shawarma wrap. One of the worst Shawarma box. Way below average shawarma available in Bristol. Portion was very small. Literally half side of box was empty. Food was very greasy. So much oil in shawarma. Extremely rude staff. Ask about portion size and staff member get funny that you paying only £10 for shawarma. Yes I am paying £10 but serve a decent portion to customer or start using smaller boxes for your stingy portions.

The food was tasty but the chicken portion was tiny. Especially for the £10 box meal! I would expect at least double the amount of chicken. Will not be returning.

Quality ingredients! Just need Tahini now.

Total lack of respect for the customer. First you wait for your food for over 20 min and when your turn comes someone who just came in is being served just because they know him.

The bread is lovely, but the meat and sauce were disappointing. I went for a lamb wrap, and had to throw it away - the meat was 90% chewy, inedible fat. Maybe because it was the end of the gyro? Either way, it shouldn't have been served to a customer. Even my cat rejected it 🙀

Freshly prepared wraps and boxes, love the hummus and the mixed Shawarma with salad. A Definite must try!!!

Ask for the afghani amba sauce in your wrap. It is typically used for falafels, but it really elevates any of their food to the next level. It is pickled green mango with turmeric and fenugreek. Edit - 13/01/24 - I have had a few too many wraps where the naan bread is soaking wet. This makes for an unpleasant eating experience where the bread is goopy and soggy. 1 star dropped

I often think about how good my falafel wrap from here was. They make the falafel and bread fresh as you order and it makes all the difference. The sauces also taste great and they’re generous with salads - don’t be afraid to ask for it all! It is cash only but don’t let that stop you from visiting such a gem of a place. My meat-eating friends are always satisfied by the choice and portions here too. A must-visit if you’re in Lawrence Hill!

Well good! They even make the wraps; maybe this is standard but I've not seen a lot of it.

Decided to visit simply shawarma after seeing the overwhelmingly positive reviews on Google. Ordered a lamb shawarma and a mixed shawarma.. My word.. These were probably the worst shawarmas I've had the misfortune of buying. The meat was more drenched in oil than marinated. Tasteless and oily.. Great combo. Bread was barely able to hold everything in given the state of the meat. Could barely even taste any garlic sauce. Not sure if I caught these guys on an especially bad day.. But this shawarma ain't it. Went straight in the bin after a few bites. At least I had some fries to fill the £16 void.

No denying that this place is very good. Fresh bread, nice salad selection and very friendly and helpful staff. Having toured the UK looking for the best shawarma, I know of better places (youtube Levenshulme Bakery in Manchester) But in Bristol, this is up there with the best - Easton Grill and Zyan restaurant on Stapleton Road probably slightly better in my opinion but the best in the immediate area by a long way though.

It’s local to me so have been going there regularly for a while now. Best £6.50 you could spend for freshly made food to go in Bristol. Absolutely stunning meats, salads and sauces. Couldn’t recommend enough (my favourite is the mixed meat wrap). All the guys are really friendly and hard working.

Smells great and they make the nans fresh. But they are cash only, so I haven’t tried the food because I never carry cash.

Really pleased I got dinner from here this evening, with my friend. Staff were really friendly and the food is great value for money. It is take away only so we sat in St George park to eat. The food was excellent, everything we had was extremely tasty, especially the fresh bread (wraps) being made in front of you. We will be back.
