Simons kitchen in South Ayrshire

Breast chicken curry wasn’t a breast and certainly was not curry sauce also spare ribs out of 7 there was only 2 that had meat on them rest just bone and jelly would not go back

Service was quick, Chicken fried rice was good. Beef with fresh chilli and garlic and fried rice had zero taste.

This food was amazing the chicken balls were lovely the sweet and sour sauce was good. I totally recommend this place, nice workers nice food, but the banana fritter was fire.. overall 5 stars 😎!

Got a large order from here with a variety of items and safe to say it was the best chinese takeout I've had, and I've had quite a few in my life. Kind workers, generous portions, fair prices and very good food. Highly recommend.

Delicious take away and fast friendly delivery.

Waited over 2 hours on a delivery. Exact same thing happened two weeks before. Shouldn’t be taking orders for delivery when they’re this busy

Ordered food at 19.05hrs phoned again at 20.20hours lady on phone was quite dismisive,eventualy got food at 21.15 hrs over 2 hour wait complained to driver who wasnt interested total shambles wont be using again

Waited over two hours for a delivery thats 10 min drive away. When I called to chase it up the member of staff was very cheeky and hung up on me. 20 mins later and still not delivery. Will not be ordering from here again

Over 1.5 hours for delivery is unacceptable. Can't keep up? Employ an additional driver at the weekends. Lassie that answered the phone suffers from bad attituditus. 👎 Sadly the other reviews seem correct and true. Go ahead, disappoint yourself.

Excellent service no complaints I travel from Girvan just to get food from simons kitchen as used them for 5 years, would recommend to anyone use them excellent service and polite staff

Prices sky rocketed in this takeaway 3.80 for fried rice a total disgrace looks like I will.just buy my own now

Unfortunately what was the best Chinese I’ve ever had! Is sadly under new ownership and the food is now dull and bland so disappointing. But I wish it’s prior owners every happiness for their future where ever they are!

Having waited for 1.5 hours for our food to be delivered I was disappointed with the food...not a patch on the po king 😢...I definitely won't be rushing back

Best Chinese in a long time, moved to the area last year and glad to have found it. Would highly recommend, always hot on delivery too!

Spent a relatively decent amount of money for food to turn up warm and to be had a go at by the driver because the location was to far away and told dont order again as they wont deliver very poor service all round avoid at all costs and spend your money elsewhere

I absolutely love the food here, only issue is they don’t answer the bloody phone!!! phoned 3 times, what’s the point of having a phone if u aren’t going to answer it????

I'm new to Maybole and decided to try Simon's kitchen was a bit surprised the curry sauce was so orange then I realised it means they make their own instead of using the mayflower powder mix most places do& it was delicious

Having ordered takeaway for a group of 15 and dilivered to our self catering holiday rental site,we all agreed that what we received was tasty and most enjoyable.

The food we got is nice but it’s not what we asked for! I specifically asked for a Mushroom and Onion curry! I explained it a few times, when I went in to collect the young boys relayed back my order and said “mixed veg curry” so I explained again, no just onion and mushrooms curry, he showed me he’d written it down so he had did his job correctly, it’s clearly been in the kitchen they ignored the customer request and gave us a mixed veg curry! I ate it as my husband didn’t want it and I wasn’t going out again. But all I ask is please read requests as this could be due to allergies and with the new rules in place for allergies you do not want to get that wrong!

The food first of all is bad, the food was bland no taste whats so ever the food seems if it was reheated and had been left for over a day. The hygiene is also something when i was eating the chips i saw a hair in it. They had the orders mixed up too.

Sadly since the passing of the previous owner this restaurant has gone downhill. So when reading good reviews i suspect it may be the previous owner when it was great. We have ordered twice now and both times the food awful. Crispy chicken that was soggy, the meal was cold, the order was wrong and it took and hour and a half to come midweek. When we called to complain she simply replied thanks for calling! Wont be back possibly the worst takeaway ever

this restaurant is my husband's now .he took all the money of mine and run away to there from northern ireland at 15 th of march.use my money opened this shop .he left me nothing .and threaten me .if i wanted take the money back.he would use any way to kick me out this contry .i tried many ways to find him .i phone the number of this shop .he called police and warning me to stop to call him .i dont understand .why the police protect him .just because he is britsher .i am a foeigner?

What’s happened to Simons Kitchen, got a curry and the Po King’s horrible curry sauce is now the curry sauce at Simons Kitchen, it’s salt sauce so salty, straight in bin sad it was a good carry out. There’s a reason the Po King shut.

Never usually had issues with simons always usually bang on but ever since they got new staff both times we have ordered were incorrect. The staff giving attitude back for their own mistakes shocking customer service. Called today as ordered chips boiled rice and curry sauce such a basic order and got chips boiled rice and gravy, we called up up and it was a young boy who turned around and said what do you want me to do about it and then said we'll you will be waiting over an hour before you get it.

Placed order for collection, had to wait 30 mins once there, although the people in before me seemed to have been waiting a lot longer. Too many people in shop without enough space to distance properly. Food wasn't even worth the extra wait. Girl at desk very apologetic though.

Only used Simons due to the fact my regular takeway is closed and I certainly won't be using them again. Ordered food for delivery. An hour and a half later I rang to see where my food was and was told it was still being cook. Why lie? If I kniw it would have been two hour I'd never have ordered. VERY VERY POOR SERVICE

Shocking that both delivery drivers do not wear masks when entering the public area and sit with the customers ..no social distancing by then either ...food is lovely but feel so unsafe due to this

What a disappointment. Back in the town where I grew up and would often enjoy a Simons prior to hitting the toon. Had high expectations unfortunately this was short lived. All the dishes were extremely bland and tasteless. Even the Curry sauce had no flavour and it was ORANGE!!! When did curry sauce become a tango orange colour???!!! 😩 No happy memories here. Sad 🤦🏻‍♂️

First class food at Simon's Kitchen

I had initially given 5 stars as the food has always been consistently good however the takeaway we received on Sunday were vile (3 different dishes - all poor quality taste and watery) We have also all been Ill ever since. I wouldn’t order from here again.

We live in Girvan and dropped in here for a meal yesterday on the way home from Ayr. The food was very tasty, and their special evening meal deal made it excellent value for money at only £9.99 for three courses. I had chicken in black bean sauce and it was truly delicious. The service here is also superb, despite being busy, and the whole experience was definitely worth 5 stars from me. Po King has been in this location for many years now, and I can see why it is such a hit. Tip: Park behind the Co-Op store for easy access.

Best Chinese takeaway food ever!!

Nothing got takeaway rice was cold so was the chicken and gravy prawns cold phoned restaurant to complain òthèr sent driver up to pick up order and we were informed we were barred and gave us our money back that is not how a professional person should act we could have had food poison or worse I would never buy anything out that restaurant again

Delivery is shocking all the food was cold including rice prawns and chicken management refused to sent out fresh food and informed my I am barred shocking way to treat costomers
