Silvertide Fish & Chips in Hammersmith and Fulham

We both had the small fish and chips and the portion size was too big to eat it all. Chips were cooked to perfection. The fish was in a light batter, freshly cooked and again cooked to perfection. This is as good as my favourite chip shop in Beauly.

Stopped for lunch while on a motorcycle tour. Ordered a small fish supper which was cooked to order. The fish was Haddock and was cooked to perfection, the fillet was almost at the point of flaking apart. The batter was light, crispy and grease free. Chips were awesome too. The small portion was more than filling and the price was one of the lowest I'd paid for a fish supper in a long time. I can safely say that my visit here was a very pleasant surprise - I wouldn't hesitate to stop here again the next time I'm in Tain.

The SilverTide is a nice wee Chippie on Tain High Street. There is a good choice of the usual chip shop fare. Prices were not unreasonable, and service was quick and friendly. Most importantly, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our takeaway

Had a fish supper here whilst staying nearby. Staff are friendly, and food was cooked to order. Lovely crispy batter on the fish, and chips were actually browned, which you rarely find in chippies anymore.

What a fantastic chippie. The staff were so incredibly friendly and the food was so tasty. The fish was so white and thick, and everything was roasting hot. Service was really quick even when busy (we visited 3 times in a fortnight while staying in Dornoch...well worth the journey). One of the best chippies we've ever visited.

Had a small fish supper (£7), it was a big portion for the price and I couldn't finish it all. It was probably the best fish I've had for a while. Chips were crisp and all cooked fresh to order.

Excellent fish and chips. Both were freshly prepared to order and were good quality. Chips had good flavour and batter on fish was crisp and not greasy. Mushy peas were also spot on.

Me and Gill are staying near Tain this week. So we nipped in to Asda for supplies we initially thought about having pizza tonight and a pasta dish tomorrow but thought bugger it we will find a chippy. Gill stayed in the car and I went in to place an order (which has now become tradition). From the moment I walked in I was greeted by a friendly Chinese lady who said “ you have big strong arms a cheeky smile your eyes are like expensive Cubic zirconias…what can I get you ?” I ordered a fish supper and Gill had a sausage supper.Everything was fresh Highly recommend Silver Tide Fish and Chips
