Silly Samosa Ltd in Sheffield

No name of silly samosa Rang the number was rude And finally went to the shop of a different name The atmosphere was dreadful Walked out

Was highly misled by reviews and meal descriptions. ‘Delicious wholemeal chapati flatbreads is baked on a hot tawa’. I have attached the photo of what was sent to me in the name of a hot chapati. It is packaged readymade roti that is available in most supermarkets. And the least they could have done was at least put it on a tawa like they claimed. They sent it raw. The whole packet of 6 is available for 1.15 GBP and to have paid 1.49 GBP per roti was a scam!

Wonderful food. Just loved this chicken 65. Never had such a great taste in the UK before. Definitely on my regular order list.. Very kind hearted person Mr Ali. Had previously tried pani Puri's from here, Indian taste buds came alive. Also got a single roti after his recommendation, magic roti now I call it, was soft even the next day!! Eagerly looking forward to try their Hydrabadi biryani whenever he prepares. The shop has been renames to Badmash bites. What's in the name after all. Looking forward to give bulk orders for home parties.

Very disappointing. Dal tasted of robinsons fruit squash. Expensive for small portions. Just not very tasty.

Just ordered on deliveroo. Very bad experience. All the food was cold when it has turned up. We ordered a chicken and lamb dish which are both in the photos there was barely any meat as it was all bones. The Dal was crushed and had explored everywhere within the box. The lamb roll was stone cold again with the strangest filling ever which did not look like lamb. Saw the good reviews and thought we would try but as said bad experience and stone cold inedible food.

Silly samosa has been closed for refurbishment recently, it is our local takeaway and we feel bereft. You can taste the love and care in their food. It is authentic and tasty. The menu isn’t huge but that’s because each dish is quality. We tried another highly rated Indian recently to tide us over until they reopen but it’s just not the same. It’s the best Indian I’ve had in England by far!

Sunil and his family have done a wonderful job bringing India to Sheffield with what I will hand on heart say is my favourite Indian takeaway in the city. Lunch or dinner, Sunil and his team are always friendly and provide freshly cooked, authentic Indian food, the likes of which I’d only otherwise find at home or at my parents’ house. Personally, I love the Vada Pau for lunch, but the chicken wrap is rapidly becoming my favourite snack. The lamb biryani and butter chicken are the best I’ve tasted outside of India. I’m slowly working my way through the menu but in honesty, I’d happily order the same few things each time as well as they’re just so good!

One of the best Indian authentic restaurants we've tried in Sheffield. The chef is very polite and extremely helpful. Tried a number of times and was never disappointed even once.

Everything that we ordered from Silly Samosa over the weekend tasted so fresh and you could tell the effort that had gone into making it. Talented Chef ini. We had Dahi puri, Samosa chaat, Chicken 65, Chilli Chicken, Chicken Biryani, Laal Maas and so on. All of the items tasted amazing. Looking forward to taste more from the menu. Silly Samosa is definitely high on taste and reasonably priced than some other takeaways. Keep up the good work. Your business deserves to do really well and we will be back for sure!!

We have ordered few times from Silly Samosa and food has always been perfect. One needs to really try this place to appreciate the authentic Indian food. I rate them five stars because in my own opinion the food is very delicious and worth the money. Keep it up guys and I’ll keep coming back to try authentic Indian food especially chicken curries. I have also tried vegan food and really enjoyed it, even though I am not a fan of vegan food. Vada pav was delicious ... yum yum... :) One of the best Indian takeaways that I've tried so far.

False advertising and posting a meat dish on a vegan page very poor makes me wonder if they try to pass it off as vegan in their restaurant….

Always guaranteed consistency in service and food. Delivery is always before they say and the food tastes great and is hot.

The most authentic and delicious Indian takeaway I've had in Sheffield. The closest I've had to Indian Street food in the UK. So so delicious!

Excellent. Flavour was wonderful. Tasting the curry leaves and mustard seeds demonstrated how fresh it was. The menu reflects how well cooked and freshly prepared it was. Food not loaded in oil but loaded in flavour

To start with the cutest little spot Sillysamosa with amazing food in Sheffield. The Indian street food like samosas, vada pav, pani poori,onion bhaji is to die for. It is the place where you will experience amazing tasty Indian street food. IT WAS FIRE!! All of the non-veg entrees I've tried have been outstanding, including Lamb rogan gosh, chicken 65, and butter chicken. Food taste resembles the experience of chief and food preparation is not taking much time without compromise in taste and hygiene. Must try place in Sheffield. The service was so amazing and holds you definitely to visit again and again.

We love Silly Samosa! Having lived in Maharashtra, I can vouch that their vada pav and pav bhaji are very authentic! Its extremely hard to find food like that in the UK. So we got lucky. And the staff are very kind also. 👏

I went and ordered food last night from their menu which I took home and myself and my family really enjoyed. Food was fresh and full of flavour, Not oily and great tasting food. We ordered Dahi Puri which are just an explosion of flavours in your mouth when you try one amazing could not stop eating them, Also ordered Lamb Biriyani which was stunning in everyway with so many delicious layers and flavours and the Lamb pieces were good size and so soft and the Best Biriyani that I have tasted in Sheffield and also in Yorkshire. We also ordered Palace chicken which is Spinach and Chicken curry which was also very tasty, full of flavour with fresh spices and massive chicken breast pieces which were so tasty and broke apart nicely. The food from silly samosa is amazing!!! Such a talented chef. We love trying new places, especially Indian food and this place is one to remember. Great for a takeaway for two or food for a party. We got food for new years eve and so many people were asking where it was from. 5 star for sure

We stumbled across Silly Samosa and looking at the menu, thought we'd give it a try, as we love authentic Indian street food. Must say it did not disappoint. The food was tasty, full of flavour and definitely authentic - delicious. Looking forward to trying more from this menu soon!

From what I have tried till now in Sheffield - this seems to be serving absolutely authentic Street food. I have lived in Mumbai for 25 years of my life and can vouch on their street food/starters. They deserve to call their cuisine as Indian, the rest are all adapted to the local taste and hence lose authenticity. Kudos!

I enjoy every meal from here! I often ask for small changes to the dishes and the staff/ chef is more than happy to cater to my preferences which I appreciate Good value and fast service :)

Curry was a little watery, but remainder was thicker and tastier the next day.

Came across Silly Samosa just few months back and since then I am in love with this place. The rates are affordable and the food served here reminds me of the authentic food that I`ve always craved for. They have good varieties in choice of food. Will definitely recommend this place to others.

Some friends recommended Silly Samosa, and the food was amazing! We had the Pani Puri which were delightfully crafted, followed by biryianis, aloo matar and dal tarka. The dal was especially well spiced with amazing flavours you won't find from every Indian takeaway! If you're looking for authenticity and great value look no further. Absolutely brilliant!

Excellent!!!! Really good authentic Indian taste. Its hard to find similar taste anywhere else in Sheffield and what makes it outstanding , that it is freshly prepared according to your taste unlike others were it is precooked .

Excellent food and such professional service. Authentic flavours and was freshly made. Thank you for bringing Mumbai street food to us. No more travelling to Leicester for Indian food now. I had a party for 40 people, and everybody enjoyed the food.

Wow, amazing food, never had Indian food like it, 10 out of 10 plus staff were really helpful. Must try! They are also open in the day time aswell as evening. Highly recommend.

I ordered 2 portions of vegetable samosas ... and they were really cute looking 😉 (could be a bit bigger though )and delicious... they were hot and mint sauce was mind blowing... my daughter's new favourite place now for samosas ... v polite person on the counter too... we are definitely coming back ...

Silly Samosa is my go to place whenever I feel like dwelling on bona fide Indian Street food. I have ordered quite a few times from them now and they have been consistent with their service. Everything that I have tried so far has been so delectable and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My personal favourite are Vada Pav. Undoubtedly best place in Sheffield for some palatable Indian food. Highly recommend!!

This is one of the best restaurant in the Sheffield for indian food. It also serves similar taste foods which I ate in the india. I love to have vada pav, palak paneer and mix veg sabji.

We tried Silly Samosa the other day and we're so glad we did! Good choice of veggie options, too. The veg samosas chat was great too-really good samosas. The veg biryani was fantastic, a proper biryani too! We will definitely be back.

The food is so tasty and flavoursome that I ordered 3 times in the same week! I cannot get enough of their veggie samosa chaat- sooo delicious and addictive 😂 great service too, the girl that serves me every time is very friendly and cheerful. This is now my regular takeout. Looks like they do lunch as well which is always a struggle when wanting to eat out. Usually have to walk up to chesterfield road for something so excited to try the lunch! Highly recommend!

We ordered a good spread- chicken pasanda, chickpea curry, chilli paneer, biryani, onion bhaji, okra masala, and pani puri. All were super tasty and fresh. It didn't feel greasy at all like some of the curries I tried else where. Would definitely order again and recommend to friends.
