I think I’ve just eaten the best sandwich ever; cheese, rocket, tomato, chilli jam on beautiful seeded bread! And I’m a recent convert to chai lattes and so far this was the best too! I’ve been lucky enough to try their homemade cakes at a friend’s house so as I was walking past I decided to venture in! Lovely choice of food on offer, clean environment and friendly staff! It was busy too. Will never step foot in Gail’s again …..

Quite the find. A barista that knows you and your drink... even remembers that you like the end pieces of cake! The food is divine, the service is wonderful. Girls queuing around the block for the handsome young man behind the counter. For a casual cake and coffee or a nourishing lunch in Kew this is the place to be! If you have forgotten your money or can't pay options to pay next time or online are appreciated when you juggling a toddler!! We recommend Sift to all our friends.

Great family owned little cafe with coffee just as I like it, with a full, deep flavour but not bitter. We tried the banana cake and the carrot and walnut cake and both were delicious. We’ll be back to try the seeded sourdough sandwiches. Add in the friendly, local staff and it’s a winner for me.

Went in there twice now. First time wanted to get some cinnamon rolls but they ran out so i ordered banana bread instead and when i got home i realized he gave me lemon cake. Second time they ran out of cinnamon rolls again (went before 10am). No vibe around the cafe and staff espacially the old man has no customer satisfaction in mind. Good coffee though.

Popped in here for the first time after visiting Kew gardens which is close by. Food was absolutely delicious with loads of options, all fresh and v t tasty looking. I tried a filo tart and mix of the three salads on offer - all of them were fab. Delicious chocolate cake too. There's no seating inside at the moment due to COVID restrictions but Kew green is on the doorstep + they've filled the space with loads of really lovely fresh and sustainable goods for sale instead. I had a chat to the staff - indoor seating probably going to become available again in the winter when the weather is less amenable to al fresco dining (which was lovely). Can recommend Kew gardens for a visit although this place is streaks ahead of the cafe's there! Can't wait to go back.

Always a warm welcome. Delicious coffees, tasty fresh Carrot, Orange & Ginger juice and an array of yummy home baked cakes, breads, salads, soup and savouries. Lovely hand made greetings cards for all occasions for sale. Magazines to read or just sit at the counter, looking at the world go by outside. So close to Kew Gardens, National Archives, Kew Retail Park and the river too. Plenty of buses going by to Kingston, Richmond, Ealing, Chiswick and so on - 65 and 391. A great Cafe for locals and visitors to Kew.

Three of us came in early (9am) on Sunday for a breakfast before visiting Kew Gardens. What a lovely place! The coffee was superb, I had smoked salmon on granary bread, my friend had smashed avocado on toast. The food was delicious, and the service was great - friendly, helpful and quick. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Stopped by whilst in Kew. Fabulous choice of sandwiches, pastries and salads. We had delicious and large sandwiches slightly toasted, washed down with large mugs of tea. Excellent quality bread with generous fillings. Only difficulty was choosing what to have. Very fair price for the location and quality. Why can’t all sandwich shops be like this? And we also took home some recipe ideas!

What a find this place was! Such a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and most importantly a fantastic lunch. The sourdough bread that is baked by the owner is the best tasting and texture I’ve ever had. Every single ingredient in the delicious sandwiches we had is obviously chosen with such care as the end result was amazing. The cake and coffee was also Devine. To us this place has perfected lunch, my only complaint is they are not nearer to home! We will be certainly heading back to Kew for lunch on our next visit to London!

Since we’ve started having great coffee, tea is often neglected. Yet here at sift when you order tea it is made with real care. The servers have a chart of how long the tea needs to brew, and it is brought to you in a generous mug when it is ready. The food is made by people who care about food too. It’s a lovely, generous, gentle and relaxing neighbourhood place. Dare you not to love it.

I cannot rate this cafe highly enough. We live locally and have tried many similar places in the neighbourhood but nothing compares with the quality found here. The coffee is excellent and there is a great choice of sandwiches, salads pastries and cakes. The Portuguese tarts with raspberries are ❤️. Service is good and the staff are friendly. If you’re visiting Kew Gardens, don’t fight for a seat in their very average eateries with the auto coffee!! Come down the road and treat yourself … oh and they sell cute cards too.

The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming which makes visiting, an even more pleasurable experience. I can’t recommend this cafe highly enough. For those curious, I had a cappuccino and a slice of the orange, polenta, berry cake. Incredible light and devoured way too quickly. My friend had toasted banana bread with lashings of butter. He was equally impressed.

Way more than simply good, very good coffee, it also has a great selection of food, from the amazing cakes (stem ginger is superb) to sandwiches and salads. Had wanted to try Sift for a while and finally did so on one of the hottest afternoons of the year. We were searching for an early breakfast on Boxing Day 2022. Driving past Twickenham towards Richmond we saw this restaurant at St Margaret's. We parked next door on the street adjacent to the railway. The restaurant was open to serve. Great ambience. Good tasty breakfast at a fair price. Best thing was that staff served with a smile. We will regularly attend this place with the full family from now on. Thanks to the staff and Seasons' Greetings.
