Side Street Burgers in Rochdale

Been a while since I've been here , but I'm very disappointed in the quality. The portions of meat they gave on the loaded philly cheese fries is ridiculous, it seems to be all onions caramalised to look a dark colour to look like theres alot kf meat and can barley find any.If you pay a premium you wouldn't expect this.

Simply get it delivered via uber or ring up place your order and theyl come hand you your food when your in the carpark. Quality of food is 12/10 here these guys know everything there is to know about making the perfect succulent burger they also know a thing or two about loaded fries so make sure you try these with your burger! Inside albeit a little small its super clean and tidy, hygiene is taken serious here by staff- definatley one of greater manchester finer establishments - customer service is also top notch, very well mannered staff.

Food has gone down hill. The burger may as well be the ultra processed brown ones rather than a proper patty. Disappointing for expensive burgers.

We’re a regular of this takeout on Uber eats. Double bacon cheeseburger is AMAZING. Also, new fries are great, much better than the old ones. Would recommend this place 100% and I do recommend to all my friends

No dine in options, only takeaway. Burger was good but small and not that spicy so not worth the price. Wait was quite long, so order in advance.

Awful, worst £38 spent in years . Covered in jalapenos, sloppy burgers that were a mess and cold. Tasted awful, advertised as a bacon cheeseburger but in fact it is turkey ham, that's a whole different thing and flavour. Never again

Always perfect food Smash burger is on point and their chips are lovely, very similar to McDonald's chips Only improvement would be provision of wipes as have to eat in car and fingers can get greasy Atmosphere left blank as have to eat in car

Ordered off Uber eats. The food came hot and was fresh because the chips were fresh. The chips are in fact identical to McDonald’s which you can’t deny are some of the best fries. The chicken tenders are identical to kfc flavour so they was really nice too. The burgers are a better version of McDonald’s. Very similar to briskets. I actually prefer here however. Very nice and actually worth the money. Food hygiene is 5 star too which is a huge thing for me

Great food and service every time! Give them a call, place your order and when you're at the car park let them know when you're here via phone and voila you have tasty food to enjoy. I've had nearly all the burgers here and they're excellent. Caroline reaper is very hot not for the faint hearted. I like the BBQ chick and cheesed-up is really good also. It's cash only so make sure you have money with you!

Ordered and it took 45 minutes for the food to arrive. I rang and the guy on the food was helpful and said if I bring it to the shop (myself) they will “remake”. Unfortunately they didn’t remake the food, they just heated it all back up. Didn’t pay £30 for 2 burgers for the service we received. Really was the last time we will eat at Side Street. Has gone down time and time again since opening. Shocking

Wow came down from London to visit family and wow just wow out of this world food the juicy juicy burger was so nice I’m gonna have to make another trip this week just to try the burger again it’s just out of this world just wow

Sauce is not Mild completely ruins the burger taste unfortunately. Food cold. 1st time trying.

This place has been my go to burger joint for years, about a month ago I had a couple bad meals from here and decided they’re no longer the best so I left a review. However, since then they’ve gone back to being absolutely amazing and tasty as hell! Big portions, tasty burgers, chicken is always tasty, juicy and tender. The BBQ chicken is amazing. The fries are incredible too and not to mention their special house sauce which is amazing… Side Street is the best place to get your burgers in Rochdale no doubt!

WORST TAKEAWAY FOOD AND WORST SERVCE IN ROCHDALE!!!!!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!!! Ordered via Uber eats. Fries half full, cold and stail. South west fries stone cold, and stail fries again. Chicken tenders in the burgers and in the south west fries tasted and had the texture of old chicken pieces reheated and dry! Missing bbq chicken tenders from the upgraded meal option. Called to complain and they refused to help because I'd ordered via uber eats. We are very regular customers and the food is normally fantastic! So to be treated like this is VERY disappointing indeed. *** Called and spoke to the supposed manager who informed that they were staff training on the night I placed the order. That's why the food was so bad. He also said it was the uber drivers fault that the food was cold. He apologised and offered me a free order but I would have to collect as they don't have there own delivery drivers. He said call anytime I've informed the staff of the free order. Called to place the order tonight and ended up on hold for over 5 minutes as the staff didn't have a clue about the free order and the manager wasn't in until later on. They ended up having to call him. But because I'd swapped one of the chicken tender burgers to a slighlty more expensive burger on the original order he wanted me to pay the full price that burger. You'd think after the terrible service I received and the fact I've placed over £200 worth of previous orders with them they would honour the £5-£6 difference. Shocking. Won't be ordering from them again!!!!!!! EVER!!!!

Had a smash Mac meal it’s a shame these guy’s don’t put any effort in there food even that the meat was greasy cold the sauce tasted great looked like a run down take away full of boys there to chill fries? Check the pic re heated to death get a grip guys

The smash burger was at a very high standard however the fries were just average. They had good texture but lacked any kind of flavour They provided a tiny tub of house sauce to go with the meal and that was only sufficient for about half the chips. You bad to pay 50p for more sauce and 30p for any ketchup or mayo making it an inconvenience during the meal For around £12 it is absolutely not worth it and your better off going some place else. The place was empty making the atmosphere very depressing but atleast the food came relatively quickly The ice cream was nice but again not worth £2

Average food and slightly pricey. Chips remind me of old McDonalds but thinner and the smash burger is ok but lacks flavour compared to other places. BBQ tenders are really good and juicy but personally wouldn’t go here again.

Although the bbq burger was disgusting, it has their downfalls on some items. But i can definitely say the smash burger is amazing. However the price is very extorionate in rochdale it should be cheaper the prices almost double manchester prices.

Service was good. But the single smash burger was not worth 6.99, a very small burger, and not much filling.

Food is 5 star I've put one star for service as you can not go into shop.ive put 1 star for atmosphere as you don't see anyone but food is lovely.

Meat is of top quality and flavours are just right, one of the best smash burgers & the tenders were spot on.

Use to be good but the consistency is no longer there. First thought it might be a one off but ordered few more times and it was the same too much seasonings or its overcooked.

Best burgers anywhere, seriously, proper tasty, arrived hot and in good shape. House sauce is lovely and salad nice and fresh and ghetto cheese slices, its the only cheese meant for burgers!! Top job guys

This place is lovely - one of the nicest burger places I've found after moving away from London! The burgers are always so nice and the people are so nice too - had an issue with an Ubereats order and they resolved it right away! 10/10 for sure!

This place ain't what it used to be like back in 2020, gone downhill massively since franchising out and started Uber eats. Don't be fooled by the edited social media pictures, these burgers are like they've been microwaved and they don't have that juicy tender meat that they used to have. Prices on the rise whilst quality has gone down the drain. Briskys is the place to go now.

Food came 30 min mate, small portions abd badly cooked, burger was hard and stale. Trash an understatement, on a midweek night too. “It’s not our fault if you used Deliveroo” was their response, poor.

Me and my friends were very Dissapointed! Very small seating area, no queuing system, took 30minutes for cold fries and plastic hard cheese. Terrible service, didn’t even clean table. Expensive and loaded fries not even room temp CHEAP PLASTIC cheese. Pictures are fake and edited and small portions for £6.95. DO NOT COME HERE NOT WORTH IT! Straight out of Nashville’s is way better.

We went to this place after seeing it alot on social media. When we got there we realised it was only takeaway. No menu in sight all online. After ordering we got got told to wait in a car park around the back of the takeaway. Very dark and alot of dodgy smells. A young lad bought our food out 25 mins later forgetting the drinks. Even though the food was nice it was a bit on the expensive side. Highly recommend to look at the menu before going.

This is a pricey takeaway, but if you like quality and smashed burgers then go here! I got a cheeseburger (pretty sure) and it was SOO good! They also included fries and sauce and it was perfect, my tastebuds were satisfied. I wouldn't go here often though with the prices.

I've ordered here plenty of times throughout this year.. First time was beginning of this year. They've never failed. Consistent and never failed. No pics this time like I normally do with other reviews. Smashburger are spot on in the seeded brioche buns and their house sauce. Slider burgers are just right either as a starter or just being that extra greedy. Do recommend and whenever I fancy a smash burger I order from here

Shocking customer experience...would not customise my order, spoke to manager who spoke to owners...they refused...unbelievably poor behaviour for a regular customer (by the way the ask was to send one of my 5 meals without the bun, due to personal reasons)...Briskys is far better food and the staff are awesome, not a bunch of inconsiderate, I'm too busy to talk owner's and management at this poor and overrated establishment.... I will never be going back nor will my family....only good for the drug dealers that are always parked around the back...haha!!

Really good quality smash burgers

Hi had the chick Carolina yesterday found it quite nice so I decided to have it again today and it basically burned my lips I phoned them up to express my opinion and the person on the phone said it is what it is basically.

We’ve recently moved into the Rochdale area & Side street burgers is Our new favourite place for burgers…oh my goodness !!! Absolutely gorgeous, lovely packaging & just packed with deliciousness. Highly recommend 🤤🤗 5/5

This place epitomises the herd mentality, burgers are bang average and being charged gourmet burger prices. Even if a gourmet burger disappoints you are at least paying for the surroundings location and prestige. none of which can be said of this place. some sketchy back street in a deprived area. finally when they were removing the patties from the vacuum sealed plastic bag. The patties had fluid and blood captured inside the bag. i have never seen halal beef ever in such form. I can only guess the blood hasn’t been drained during the halal slaughter process (intentionally to keep the burgers juicy?) or they have minced the meat too soon from slaughter and not refrigerated for a minimum of 24 hours before mincing.

This place is almost 20 miles from me. it’s worth every mile and my time. The burgers remind me of the good old times. When there wasn’t so much misery in the world. When the ice caps were not melting. When the trees were not being cut down. When global warming was merely a myth. When there was no Boris. I could go on. Highly recommend so you can perhaps have your own nostalgic experience.

Great burgers honestly I just loved them. It was like Christmas morning. A little sceptical at first; but wow my world has changed. Double cheeseburger was triple tasty. Wonderful chips. A bit less sauce on the BBQ chicken tenders and I would have been a new woman. Thanks again.

Overrated & overpriced, should be called 'back street'! So this place knows how to blatantly take the p***. They took full advantage of lockdown, you placed the order, was told on average, 30-40 mins, provided a cash on collection policy and asked to park in the rear car park. You would then call and get through after 20 times of trying, they then bring out cold substandard food. How? A one-off perhaps? Not when I ordered again 4 times at different times of the day. Stay clear of this one! I’d give it 0 if I could!

Smash burger was overly seasoned with black pepper and covered in the cheap cheese sauce which overpowered the burger. "Fully loaded" fries were fries with horrendous tasting cheese sauce. No card payment, no seating etc yet full priced burger costs similar to any other burger place.

Absolutely amazing food one of the best places I have being hands down and great customer service I would this place to any of my family and friends

The smash and chicken burgers here are some of the best you will find in Rochdale. Would prefer the cheese to be harder rather than melted, as it ends up sticking on the packaging, but that is a minor gripe.

Food bangs but they don’t accept card payment? It’s 2021! I travelled from out of town to find out I need to take cash out when I didn’t even have my card on me. I was even ready to do bank transfer. Please please stop dodging tax & buy a card reader. You can pick up cheap one. Have one on your phone if you want to dodge tax? Disappointed

The loaded fries were a bit disappointing, just chips with cheese sauce and a few Jalapeños thrown on. The burger though... the burgers from here are phenomenal. Probably the tastiest non-restaurant burgers I've ever eaten, and better than many restaurants!

Absolutely amazing burgers definitely recommend having the carolina Reaper burger as it was the most delicious. After eating it i unlocked a sixth sense and can exit my body and see myself from a 3rd person view.

The best place in Rochdale! These young lads are killing it! Every time we order it hits the spot. My personal favourite is the cheesed up burger meal and chicken tenders. It is on the pricey side but after you're done with the meal.. you know why. And i'm so glad they changed up with fries with the new chips. Delicious!

Smash burger was really good but no card payments says it all. When ordering on the phone he had to re-iterate 8 times cash only. Obvious reason for not taking card payments. No ribs either which is one of the reasons we went there

Slow service due to how busy they are but the food never disappoints! Highly recommend you try the Turkey Bacon XL

Good place but be aware that order by phone then collect in the car park prices for speciality burgers can be high but fries are good and depending on what you are looking for, the barbeque sauce on some can distract but meat and the bread is nice. Wait can be up to 30 mins hence phone before to avoid too much hanging about in the car park

Absolutely applaud by the food you think is ok to charge such prices for! Briskys and other burger places in oldham and Manchester are 10/10 compared to you guys! First time I have ordered last night and I can say never again I’d rather travel for food which is an amazing standards then return back to you guys!

Close to one of the best burgers I've ever had. Quick and easy to eat from here, order over the phone, give your reg, park up behind their store, wait for your food and pay, then indulge. Burgers are consistently juicy and filling. Fries remind me of McDonald's which is a plus too! Only downside would be the bottled water, do not order it. Not sure what brand it is but it has a weird taste.

This was my first and last time ordering food from Side Street. I was recommended by a friend and told they had the best burgers in town; they were wrong. It arrived absolutely stone cold. The fries were stale and cold. The onion rings were sloppy and cold. The burger had solidified from the cold too. 1 Burger, 1 portion of Fries, one portion of onion rings (5 rings), absolutely stone cold for £20. Absolutely ridiculous money for the poor quality. Not to mention the portion sizes wouldn't feed a 2 year old. Will NOT be ordering food from here again. Avoid at all costs!

So if you live in Rochdale and haven’t tried Side Street your missing out. I have been to many smash burger places and this place is one of the best, the burger is so juicy and quality is top notch. The only thing I would say is that maybe they need to upgrade the fries to skin cut. Other than that it’s one of the best for smash burgers

Find it strange it phone order only. Menu is on Instagram where some people like me ain't on Instagram but can't knock the food. Burger are nice
