Delivery time was good, sushi was really good, everything else was alright, just didn’t WOW us, which is what you expect at that price point

The food was super amazing and the staff very nice. They even put up with my fussiness and adapted one part of my meal to a smaller portion and change the nigiri plate to things you don’t normally get. Well worth a visit

Lovely place and nice staff but the service was really slow, 90-100 mins for main dishes. Too many take away priority.

Pabitra is a brilliant and friendly waitress who made coming to the restaurant a pleasant experience. 10/10.

I've visited this restaurant quite a few times since it first opened, and the quality of the food is always of a high standard and the atmosphere is so peaceful. I recommend getting the Takoyaki if you haven't tried it before, it's always nice here.

Had food from here easily over 10 times, both takeaway and eating in. Always incredible food and friendly staff. Never had anything but an amazing meal.

I love sushi and I like this place. I went several times and never disappointed. Delicious sushi, delicious noodles and so far all we tried was very good. Maybe they could work a bit on the presentation of the dishes and not a fan of salmon carpaccio as there was some parmesan on top I believe and it didn't taste as nice as all the other foods. I'll definitely keep going though!

Best Japanese restaurant in Tamworth.

This place is nice! See, as a Brit..if visiting friends from Hong Kong say " let's try this place out" knowing they prefer authentic food rather than that for the British palette, who then come away and say " that was really nice! Then you know it's good to review. I always let them order as well, they know what is what and what you should typically have for a specific time of day. Deffo going back, but I'll have to message them and ask what I had 🤣😂

Came from Wales for the snow dome. Fancied sushi and luckily found Shokudo. Beautiful food and lovely atmosphere. My son especially loved the beef curry

This has fast become one of my fave restaurants, food is always great quality and great value! Only caveat this time is that the veggie bento box states it comes with two spring rolls but it actually comes with one, it’s only a minor thing but they’re my favourite so that was a little disappointing, especially as this meal was shared. But other than that, fab!

Whether it’s ramen, curry rice, sushi, or sashimi, the quality has always been consistently high. The staff are exceptionally friendly, always willing to assist and often greeting us with warm smiles. This is literally best food we are happy to have in Tamworth , in the course of last month I have ordered various meals , bibimbap, ramen, sushi and everything has been top quality and delicious ❤️

The soup was disappointingly lukewarm, which is a deal-breaker for me when it comes to noodle soup—it should be piping hot so you can enjoy it properly. The eggs were overcooked, losing their soft, creamy texture. The roasted rice lacked the sticky, fragrant quality you’d expect and instead had an unpleasant odour. To top it off, the lobster wasn’t as fresh as it should have been, likely served too cold, which affected the overall flavour. A very underwhelming meal.

Was exceptional from start to finish. We were greeted by a lovely member of staff that looked after us all night. We asked alot of questions about the food and she answered with no hesitation straight away. The atmosphere was great too enough of a buzz but not too loud with authentic music in the back ground. The food... just wow.. me and my partner shared starters then different mains and it truly was exceptional.. only negative is that because the food was so good we had no room for deserts which looked insane too. Will be going back again and again and having for take out.

So glad we finally tried this place! We ordered the prawn tempura to start and then a pork and a chicken ramen. The prawn tempura was so crispy, fresh and light. It wasn't coated in dense batter. The ramen were both delicious!! So full of flavour! Service was really good and staff were very attentive and helpful. Definitely worth a return visit!

Fantastic meal! We found this place by chance and were not disappointed. Very tasty food and such a good variety, price was also reasonable. Our waitress Pabitra was lovely and made us feel very welcomed too, thanks a lot!

Ordered delivery from here. Food came very quickly, had an issue with my order but that was sorted after a quick call to them. Overall I enjoyed the food and it was very filling.

We went here early on a Friday evening for a pre-performance Meal, we had considered Japanese before we came, but then looked around food places once we parked, mostly we could only find Indian, so it was an immense relief to find Shokudo it was very quiet when we arrived but filled up a bit before we left. We were given a table for two in the window and had the menu explained, for us we had a Glass of rose each, shared two starters, and different bowls on mixed seafood and one raw tuna, with lots of lovely flavours, shared pancake and ice cream filles rice ball desserts and coffees. Slightly expensive @ £65. Although it was a la carte Would definitely go again.

Popped in for a lunch visit. Place was rather empty and we were quickly seen to all our food. Had the lunch specials, chicken katsu, miso soup, gyoza and a soft drink. Partner had sushi special. Both cost £15 each. Food was hot and delicious, well balanced flavours throughout, i would have liked spicier but that's just my preference. Service was great and attentive, atmosphere in the restaurant is very relaxing.

We had pork bibimbap (I think I spelled it right). It was absolutely delicious! Service was great. Would thoroughly recommend. I intend to be back to sample the sushi and bento boxes.

Excellent Gyoza and Bibimbap tonight. A quiet Tuesday night and a solo meal while travelling for business... But very friendly service and great food! I'll be back next time I'm here.

Never eaten Japanese style food before so don't know if it's authentic but it was delicious. Service was excellent though one niggle was I'd ordered a noodle side dish not realising that the main I ordered contained noodles anyway. The side didn't show except on the bill, so I treated that as the tip rather than make a fuss. Will definitely return.

Great japanese restaurant serving a variety of dishes including sushi, ramen, katsu curries, bibimbap and poke bowls! The wakame seaweed salad, kimchi and bamboo shoots are some great accompaniments too. The restaurant is often quiet (not sure why given the food quality) and some parts of the building are a bit dated (toilets feel like an old nightclub), but they've done a great job decorating with Oriental furnishings (cherry blossoms, photographs and other nicknacks.

Clean and themed in keeping with the food. Tables are spacious and far enough apart to provide a sense of privacy. Beautiful looking bar. Service was sweet and polite and the food was just lovely. Very tasty, gently flavoured apart from the hints of spice and pickled ginger. Noodle bowls were generous and the kids loved them. Beautifully presented like little works of art. The desert was delicious and so were the drinks, iced tea and an Aloe Vera juice! Definitely going again! 😃

First Japaneese restaurant, if you are adventurous you won't be des appointed, really good

Set high expectations on this but it turned out disappointing. If I am not wrong, the restaurant is not run by Japanese or anyone who has undergone proper training in Japanese cuisine. Just not authentic 👎😔 Ramen is not up to the usual standard, eg boiled egg and long green onion. Sashimi, just three types, salmon, tuna and octopus. Service: a few reminders for the not coming plates, soy sauce dish and drinks.....

With working down here a lot and travelling a lot for work what a place for fantastic food the service with great as well would recommend to anyone they go the extra mile

Was searching for a restaurant for dinner randomly after a fun day at Tamworth Park, we were so lucky to find this hidden gem. Nice staff & good food with reasonable price, lot of choice on menu, suitable for family needs. Definitely will recommend it to others.

Food is absolutely unreal. My one concern was the man making sushi at the top of the restaurant didn’t wash his hands once in the whole time we were sat eating. Never the less service and presentation is top!

Went here on Sunday 23rd June for our anniversary. We was so rushed 3 courses in under an hour. Our table was booked for 7.30 ( they close at 8pm) was very disappointed the staff started putting their coats on and they started cleaning up around us. They brought us some dumplings with ice cream in the middle on the house obviously didn't want us to order desert. Won't be going again and certainly wouldn't recommend. Shouldn't have taken the booking.

The food was amazing, fresh, piping hot and full of flavour. I came here as part of a big company meal (booked in advanced) the service prior and on the day was warm and attentive. On the day, despite there being a large group of us, each course came out quickly and it was easy to get drinks! Also to note on the actual day we had a coupe of changes and the staff took this in there stride. Would definitely recommend and would definitely come back.

This was first time ordering from here and I must say I was impressed with the food. It was superb and will be ordering again!
