Ship Inn, Tresaith by Marston's Inns in Ceredigion

Beautiful location . Very quiet and peaceful. A very nice place to stay.

Brilliant stay yet again Staff and food top notch

Friendly staff . Great location but not for those with mobility problems . Great access to the coastal path . Room have lovely views . Sadly we were disappointed with our stay due to poor table service the afternoon we arrived (possibly due to lack of staffing ) and the following morning a 90 minute wait for breakfast after being shown to our table and when breakfast arrived it wasn’t the best . Previous stays have been excellent

Fabulous views and range of inside (aircon) and outside seating, service was great and staff helpful and polite. Food mediocre.... we were hungry and there was nowhere else so we gave it a go, The food was so obviously microwaved, the potatoes were overcooked and hard/dry, and unchecked as they had large black bits which I had to pick out....... otherwise passable, burger bun and chicken very dry, so the food did not impress us which is a shame as it is a lovely venue and could be so much more.

Lovely room and location. Additional staff in the bar area would’ve helped. Not a criticism of Hayley and her team but they were given too much to do. Maybe I just got a busy weekend.

I can't say anything about the rooms as I am a local but, as for the rest, the staff are all very polite and friendly and helpful. Nothing seems to be a problem for them to do for you. The food menu is fairly well varied with a good selection for both adults and children. Believe it or not, there is even a menu for your dog 🐕🐕‍🦺🍣. It is advisable to book if you want to eat inside especially in the evening and at the weekend and during the day also during the holidays. There is a varied drinks selection behind the bar with ciders, bitters, lagers (and 0% alc ), various spirits (with different flavours of gin), a selection of cocktails and also soft drinks and children's drinks and teas and coffees. Food is served by staff inside and outside but orders for outside food and drinks must be made at the bar (make sure you have got your table number when ordering). Dogs are welcome both inside and out and there are bowls and fresh water available (a tap outside to the left of the main entrance door). The view from inside and outside overlooking Cardigan Bay is spectacular especially at sunrise and sunset (don't forget the camera or you may be sorry) ! Just round the corner from the beach (right across the road from the Ship inn) is the famous Tresaith waterfall (can only be visited at low tide!). When the car park is full, there is a free car park at the top of the hill, turn right and it is about 50 metres on the left. You can either walk down the hill or take the steps which are next to the bus shelter next to the road junction. Apart from reiterating how good the food, drinks, staff and views are, I can't think about anything else to say. If I do I will add it to this review. Enjoy your visit to the Ship Inn at Tresaith.

Absolutely amazing 2 night stay the staff were awesome really looked after us and made us feel so welcome room was beautiful and very clean comfy bed and a fabulous view. The food was amazing and the service excellent!! Thankyou so very much we will definitely be back soon xx

Here for work, lovely from start to finish. Helpful and friendly staff. Pointed me in the right direction for my run along the cliff path. Food was so so tasty. Will definitely stay here again when I’m next in the area. The room (room 2) was clean, tidy and warm. Lovely views too.

A busy and popular place and totally understandable due to its location. Service was warm and friendly, despite how busy it was the food came out in good time and was excellent.

Amazing place with unforgettable views! I would highly suggest the surf and turf medium rare with peppercorn sauce and extra onion rings! Then the sticky toffee pudding to follow! Staff were great very quick all with a smile! Thank you for helping me celebrate a year to the day in the area!

Location is amazing. Room very comfortable and clean. Staff were all very friendly. Dinner was ok. Breakfast good. Overall very good.
