Good food, good atmosphere, friendly staff and well priced. All me and my friend can do is recommend‼️

Decor and service was nice, the tables and seating could be more clean and the smell in the restaurant wasn't pleasant. Food was very much of a gamble, you don't know if you'll get what's shown on the menu pictures or whether you'll get what the name suggests. The nice items such as dragon roll sushi and tempuras can be really good, the badly made ones like the omurice which is dry, salty and doesn't contain any of the flavouring that omurice should have; gyudon which is supposed to be a sweet and mild fatty beef slice with onions, contains no onions, beef were large chunks and flavouring is something between a typical Sichuan stir fry and a Korean beef dish, mysteriously also contains large chili pieces, is absolutely unpalatable and disappointing. Previously also tried matcha tiramisu which is laughable... The topping had no matcha and the entire slice of cake tastes nothing like matcha but just the sponge cake bottom containing a faint hint of green. Overall the food from this place is as far as it is from Coventry to Japan as how far it is from being able to call itself "authentic Japanese food". After trying multiple options I probably won't visit again.

I promise, I've been spending money here almost a dozen times a month until recently, and I have to give a review. First of all, the service is downright nasty, especially the slightly shorter brown skinned lady in the hijab, ignores customer requests, has no manners, slammed the POS machine down hard on my table at a recent checkout, she is full of impatience and exasperation, doesn't say thank you after the customer pays (even if you pay a tip), she makes an effort to be welcoming if her boss is around, and once her boss isn't nearby she treats the customer with impatience.

I had heard amazing reviews from friends and wanted to give it a good try, we came with a group of 6 of us. Ambience was nice and the interior was cosy. Although the presentation was alright, sadly the food was terrible for me personally. I found 3 bugs in my food, photo includes a circle of it, and zoomed in photo. Sent it back and ordered a different roll, but it was tasteless and the rice was way overcooked and extremely mushy. Wish they had offered to compensate for the bug, but alias I don’t plan to return.

The sushi and ramen was very nice and the lady with the red cap is really helpful , she explained the menu so well and the customers service here is Top Notch , came here many times, best Japanese restaurant in Coventry!!

Absolutely love the atmosphere of this place! I always come here for the bibimbap and it never disappoints! The service is good, however, the staff can come off as rude at times so it’s really a 50/50 for me. Other than that the food and the atmosphere are great and I would definitely recommend the place!

I like the vibe here but the waitress seems not happy to serve the customer…. I always love curry rice but the pork tasted sour and not fresh…me and my friend want to have a happy gathering here but unfortunately it was not as we expected…

We met a friendly and patient waitress to greet us. We ordered one lunch special ramen set which was delicious. The portions are generous and taste good. But the ramen soup was not hot enough. Maybe because the temperature is low in winter, cold roast was added to the soup noodles, making the soup even colder. Ramen also comes with a lot of toppings. In addition, the seafood set menu is also delicious, with tempura shrimp and fish, salmon sushi and octopus balls. Will recommend to friend.

I ordered beef bibimbap and it has barely no beef in it.

The unpalatable one. The octopus balls don’t even contain bonito flakes. The fried chicken is so sour that it looks like it’s gone bad. Its not fresh food at all

Atmosphere and interior were lovely and the service was great, but the ramen was extremely underwhelming unfortunately, especially for the price.

Worst sushi experience ever! I ordered the Four Season’s Roll for dinner, and it was a complete disaster. More than two-thirds of the maki was just rice, and the rice was horribly overcooked. It was slimy, with a flavor that tasted like it had gone bad! To make things worse, there was even a salmon bone in the roll! After eating it, I got a terrible stomachache and diarrhea. Honestly, this was the worst maki I’ve ever had, and it looked nothing like the pictures on Google. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs! It was such a huge disappointment!

Generally very nice! Great and friendly service, no faults there. The food was mostly good - the okonomiyaki on a stick was probably my favourite dish but I did enjoy everything. The teriyaki salmon was missing... Something, can't quite tell what, perhaps salt or msg - and same with the rice. But that said both were perfectly ok. The pumpkin croquette was great. No complaints there - and generally it was all very nice. Overall Worth a visit

Tonkotsu Ramen was authentic, prawn gyoza was delicious, ikura gunkan was beautiful. The lady worked on a floor service very hard!! She was waitress goddess!!

Ordered my brothers 18th birthday food from here and everyone was so pleased. Very fresh and tasty food,my mum said its the best beef she's ever had. We got so much food for the money! Delivery man was very friendly also,thank you.

One of our favourite restaurants in Coventry. Food is always authentic and tasty. We took our little one for his first meal out. Debora and Shenhet were especially helpful. We felt so welcome. Will be back again!

Took my boy for some lunchtime sushi, which he loves. He had the poor Gyoza and both salmon and avocado mini sushi rolls. I had the pork bun and the chicken garage ramen with tempura pork. The food was well presented and all delicious. The service was prompt and very polite. The only very minor thing was everything arriving at once, rather than starters then mains, but, as said, this was a really minor point. Very enjoyable experience and we both agreed 5 star! 😊

Absolutely amazing place, my number 1 to go for a dinner. Nice and quiet, lovely spot and friendly staff. Sushi rolls are the greatest choice, but for me meat dishes are super as well. Drinks are prepared with nice design and taste stunning. fair prices. Good menu. Never had any issues with dishes availability. In busy periods or weekends call to book yourself in advance. And my recommendation - try wasabi spring rolls as a starter and Wednesday lady sushi rolls:)

Great food, great / fast service and reasonably priced

Amazing restaurant, consistently good quality and excellent value food. One of my favourites in Coventry.

To start, the server we had was lovely. Wonderful person. As for the food however, it was mostly a split bag. In some aspects like the flavours and the textures, they were all there and we're a delight. However, there was an obvious cut in ingredient quality. The takoyaki for example, had pieces of octopus so small it could probably fit in my straw. The miso soup portion was tiny and not much miso was added so it seemed watered down. The drinks however, we got cranberry nojitos as they ran out of pomegranate, was well muddled and tasted amazing. The chef's selection of sashimi had smaller cuts than what I would pay for but quality wise is was good. Do not come here if you have any allergies to egg and milk. Egg is in everything. They actually have a vegan salmon which is really cool. Other than that, they put actual fish roe on the vegetarian poki bowl so we had to get that redone. There also seemed to be a giant lack of understanding on what vegetarian actually means so I wouldn't really recommend for those with dietary. Other than that, it was overall an okay experience.

The table is dirty and the black waitress has bad attitude all the time. We came here twice but she does not change a bit. Bad attitude. The food is not bad though.

A very enjoyable lunch - and nice sushi and (cream coloured) ramen. Teriyaki salmon in the bento box could have had a bit more sauce for the rice to soak up but over all very tasty! Gyoza were lovely. It was a little quiet inside and the music and big telly a little imposing. A few things on the menu weren’t available but we were very happy with what we got. Four and a half stars rounded up to five! Thanks. Sorry that we didn’t leave a tip- no opportunity given to do that when paying by iPhone. And I had no appropriate amount of cash to leave.

Absolutely delicious food here with some of the best chicken I have ever had.

I really liked the food. The fish was fresh and quite tasteful. I just think it is a little pricy. It’d be great if they had some kind of deal or combo. I think they could take more care of the place. It’s ok, but it needs some touch. I had Jo Moriawase 23 itens for £23 and a Salmon and avocado temaki £10,70. They gave 10% discount because we payed by cash.

Loved the food there. Very good Japanese. We had Tonkatsu Ramen, Vegi Yaki Soba, Seafood Katsu Curry, Wakame Salad, Pork Gyoza and Vegetable Tempura. All good tasted very fresh and delicious. The Ramen is really good, the broth is rich creamy yet very light while the pork was actually melt-in-mouth. We topped it with Chilli and Spices that really enhanced the flavour. The Yakin Soba although veg had and a fried egg which we did not mind. It was actually good to have the egg with runny yolk. The Yakin Soba was very flavourful, the selection of veggies was very good specially the mushrooms. Katsu curry had a minor hint of spice which really complemented the overall dish. It had Krispy prawn and crispy white fish fillet. The batter in them was not at all oily. We went to dine after having two deliveries from Delivero. Was not disappointed any time. Will definitely visit them again to try some sushi other Japanese delicacies.

Persistently good quality and authentic Japanese food!! Have been a regular since its opening. My favourites- Tonkutsu Ramen, beef Bento set, Eel Rice and Takoyaki. Only two points to make it perfect -it would be good if the broth of Tonkutsu Not adding milk (I guess) to season, rather , put more pork and bones to give more pork flavour. Its because the soup is the soul of this noodle dish. Also, use fresh king prawns for the Prawn tempura as the meat tastes like reconstitute meat. I would prefer to pay a bit more or have a smaller portion without compromising the quality. Still 9/10 rating as Ive been to many authentic Japanese resturants in Asia and just remember what some traditional dishes were supposed to taste like 😍🍜🍱

Possibly the worst meal I have had in years. The beed Bibimbap that’s tee and looked like dog food and porridge. I understand there are off days, but this was shameful. Do not both going here, there’s an amazing Korean BBQ across the road, wish I’d gone there instead.

I am a bit conflicted. The food was truly amazing however, the service was slow, sloppy and needed a lot of reminder. It seems that some reviews mention the same problem but it isn’t the norm. Management needs to address this issue as it seems it isn’t a systematic but rather a isolated staff problem.

I used to come here loads and loved it but coming back here today was really poor. Food and drinks took forever to come out possibly due to the mountain of Deliveroo orders going out. The bento box we ordered came out inedibly cold which was also disappointing. We could see a bunch of other tables getting really irritated by the wait and lack of organisation too so unfortunately just a really regrettable experience.

The service was really terrible. We waited for 40 minutes to get our foods. And I asked the servers 2 times while they were just impatient and refused to give me an answer. I was never so angry. Will never come again.

Ordered the Yasai Ramen on deliveroo and it was incredible! So many varieties of mushroom + tofu and the egg was cooked to perfection.

Brilliant place to taste true Japanese food. I was there few weeks back and the food is delicious. Located next to the Coventry Motor Museum this place is easy to find. The restaurant is cosy and clean. Very well decorated in Japanese theme. Staff there are very friendly and helpful. Service is really good. Town centre is just 2 minutes walk from the restaurant. Coventry Cathedral is 1 minutes away and the bus station is also stone throw away from the Restaurant. If you are looking for truly authentic Japanese food, you should visit this beautiful place. I highly recommend.

Weve ordered here for delivery quite many times. They serve you with hard boiled eggs even with bibimbap (which is supposed to be sunny side up egg) the yakisoba is so oily and lacks the japanese taste and flavor. Same with bibimbap, more rice less toppings. Gyudon tastes oily and too sweet. The take out ramen arrived with just noodles as the soup is already absorbed by it (better with dine in) sushis are OK.

ordered pork katsuni chicken karaage ramen green tea coke Chicken ramen was just bland and salty, Pork katsuni was just sitting in a plate with lots of water rather than sauce. the only decent thing was the fried chicken that came with ramen. drinks were so overprice £3.95 for a can of coke

A disappointing dining experience: I recently visited Shin with high hopes of enjoying a delicious meal but unfortunately my experience was quite the opposite. Service : 0/5 The service at Shin was nothing short of a disaster . We were met with a very rude host. Our orders were taken with disinterest and the service was very rushed . Dishes and cutleries were literally slid across the table with no hint of customer acknowlegment by the waitress. Food:2/5 . Overall I wouldnt recommend this place , especially on weekends.

We arrived on a Saturday evening without a reservation and were quickly seated and ordered drinks. For the starter me and my partner ordered California rolls, Salmon Hosomaki & Karaage to share which we were pleasantly surprised with. But unfortunately this is where the positivity seemed to end. I had previously asked on here if the chefs were Japanese after having so many bad experiences at so-called Japanese restaurants in this country. After looking at some previous pictures, I saw that they had the menu in Japanese as well as English, this gave me the impression they are serving authentic food and the restaurant was run by Japanese staff. But when we were in the venue the menu was in English and Chinese. This is when alarm bells started to ring. I was sceptical about what to order for the main course so i asked the waitress what the Ramen was like in here. Her response was "yes its good, its one of our main dishes here". So i thought i would give it a try, i ordered a Tonkotsu ramen & my partner ordered the Miso Tempura Chashu Ramen. To be honest, we were totally confused as to why Tempura would be anywhere near a Ramen dish but decided to try it anyway. When it arrived, the presentation was fantastic, and i couldn't wait to get stuck in. Now, as any Ramen lover would know, it's all about the BROTH. For those that dont know, Tonkotsu means pork bone and if made properly, is bursting with vibrant flavours. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. It was extremely bland and basically just a shoddy attempt at what should be an amazing dish. The egg wasn't marinated enough either. It had this really wierd peppery taste & and frankly, it was just an insult to Japanese culture to evan call it Ramen. It was better than another local restaurant i had been to the previous week but only slightly. To finish it off, we ordered a Matcha Tiramissu & Cheesecake for dessert, which were equally as disappointing as the main course. Both tasted like they had been previously frozen with no flavour. Thank you for your hospitality, but i won't be returning unless i can see some evidence that the food standard has increased.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the chicken, which was not just breast meat, it was not indicated on the menu. Apart from that, everything was delicious, great service, amazing atmosphere. We will come back more often

At this restaurant, you can truly enjoy the taste of Japan. I ordered dishes such as calamari, shrimp dumplings, ginger pork bento, seafood yakisoba, and more. Each dish had a deep flavor and delicate, beautiful presentation. They were all wonderful and truly delicious. The staff were all friendly, and there's outdoor seating available. Paying in cash also gives you a 10% discount, which is another appealing aspect. Without a doubt, it's a 5-star experience with no complaints, and I will definitely be coming back!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

You feel in this place that they care about you and give quality food.

The food here is great along with the drinks they serve especially the Sake. Its a little expensive and that would go amiss but the service in general needs to be worked on. I would rather travel into Birmingham and eat in Mount Fuji. Service goes along way and when its hit and miss to feel comfortable in this place i rather eat somewhere more consistent. But again, the food is really good here but as a whole experience it lacks the small touches.

Food is good and satisfactory at its price range. The reason I gave 2 stars is because a friend of mine who had worked there said the tips are not distributed weekly to the waitresses as promised. The tips doesn't go to any of the waitresses. DO NOT Tips unless you wanna pay the boss more for no reason.

We shared a Chicken Rahman broth, which was delicious, and then the Tuna & Salmon Sashimi which was truly scrumptious! Ringo apple & ice cream dessert was great too and the Service was first class. Well done!

The best sushi restaurant in Coventry City Centre! Situated exactly in the middle of Coventry, near the bus station and about 15 mins away from the train station. The staff is kind and professional, a special greating for Deborah and Ketty who are really on top of everything and make sure you have a fantastic experience whether you want to have lunch or dinner! The interior has a various theme, the flowers all around are just amazing and give the place a relaxing vibe as well as a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere 😍 The seats are cozy and organised, you can quietly enjoy youe meal without being disturbed by other guests and without having to move when it gets busy! The food is simply great and the price is pretty adequate! I could eat everything, and I loved everything! Especially the Sashimi Platter and the Ebi Tempura Roll 💕😋 It is also possible to find Bento Boxes and other platters, however I would definitely add some combos/deals to the menù to attract more sushi lovers 😉 Love it! Thank you... See you soon again!!! 🍣 PS: I usually go to All-You-Can-Eat sushi restaurants but, unfortunately, in UK it is rare to find one!

This is such a gorgeous little restaurant and the food was soooo good. The cocktails looked amazing but we sadly couldn't try them on this occasion. Really want to come back soon. Lots of choice for vegetarians and great atmosphere - good location for a date.

I didn’t expect to be this satisfied from the food and the service. My ramen had a nice selection of toppings, great broth and noodles and the meat was soo tender! Sushi was great too and my whole family was satisfied with their food! Our waitress was super nice and helpful.

Food used to be really good. Went at the weekend and food was sub par. Not prepared fresh. Server wandered off with my card and came back with the machine. Have today on wednesday had fraudulent transactions on my card. Very odd.

It is in a good location. There are a few car parks nearby and the bus station is quite near so getting there is a breeze. The staff are wonderful and the food not only looked good but tasted delicious. There is a lot of variety so I'm sure you will find something you like, but things a can get a bit pricey so look at the menu before going. All the drinks where over £3 but they were not tiny. I recommend getting any of the bentos and although I didn't order any ramen dished I saw how large the portions were as they delivered to other customers. Although it is a tad bit expensive when you order a starter, sushi, a main, drink and a dessert the portions are very generous, I myself had to ask for a takeaway container. If you just want to eat there for a casual meal it is doable, just stick to the mains and a drink.

Went for a lunch this Sunday (2 people) for the first time after seeing the good ratings online (pre-booked). Indeed the decor was very nice, stylish, very clean, the music pleasant, received with a smile, but the overall experience wasn't that great for the following reasons: 1. The menu is a bit hard to understand if you're not familiar with the Japanese cuisine/culture. 2. The waiter that attended our table was not very helpful when I asked to explain me some dishes, the explanation was very brief (as from a 5 year old) and he seemed bored/bothered by my questions. . not bad attitude but not helpful either. . I'd say mediocre. 3. The drinks were most of them not available, £3,50 for a tiny (330ml) bottle of Asahi which sells for around £1 in shops. 4. The total bill was around £50 for 1 starter, 2 main courses, 3 drinks. A bit on the expensive side for child size portions. Maybe don't go there if you're very hungry unless you want to spend +£100. . 5. The portions were suitable for 7-10 year olds. . (very small for the price). 6. The supposedly hot dish was luke warm. 7. Taste/texture: average 8. Had better quality and bigger portions for smaller prices in competitor restaurants in the area. 9. Weird/dodgy promotion advertised at the till of 10% discount if you pay by cash (which was not even applied when I paid by cash). . no reputable company would do that. . It's easy to assume that is for tax avoidance purposes . . Conclusion: Nice atmosphere, average/poor customer/service, professionalism - average, spent £50 on average quality food and left hungry, so overall average experience.

The salmon was so fresh, it’s the belly part of the salmon. Chicken skewers was so moist. The Raman taste very authentic! Service was good, it’s only if they’re too busy it’s lack of waiters working, just need to be a bit patient with them. But the service still good.

Ordered yakiniku bento. Compared to standard Chinese restaurants, the beef portion is almost 1/4 ( one quarter of the normal amount). Only a few pieces of thin sliced meat and bottom is filled with lettuce to show it like a big portion. There is no value for money and food quality was avarage 👎🏼

Honestly. You'll never go to Wagamama again after going here. The closest thing you're gonna get to traditional Japanese food.
