He estado aquí varias veces y siempre me pareció agradable y eficiente, con buena comida y bastante barato.

i thought the food here was authentic and delicious. The service however was virtually none existent. The waiter barley interacted with our table at all and was very slow, indeed one couple walked out. That said, when the food came you could not fault it. Delicious and huge starter portions. So would I go back..... Yes I would just don't go expecting good service.

The food is great, when it arrives! My wife and I have been to this restaurant twice in the last month. The first time we went was great, it was on a Friday evening at 8pm. We were seated in the window and enjoyed a fabulous meal. We loved being able to take our own drinks, which has a positive impact on the over all bill. The service was good and the waiting staff were attentive. We were so impressed that we decided to return two weeks later with our family (Saturday, 8pm). This time we were seated upstairs - the restaurant was a bit busy but not packed. After ordering, the popadoms and starters arrived promptly, however after this the joyous experience descended into despair. There was a rather loud mouthed individual who was stuffing his face at the next table (not the fault of the restaurant). Sadly we had to listen to this moron for the best part of two hours before our main course arrived....... when the food did arrive it was not warm. The next time we decide to go out for a curry we shall not be going back. However we may order a takeaway from here, at least then we will be able to heat up the food, which when all is said and done was very nice.

Visited Tuesday this week at 9pm only 1 other table occupied so definitely not busy. They took an age taking our food order and 2 soft drinks took over 15 mins to arrive. The waiters were more interested in going outside to smoke and use their mobile phones. At one point there wasn't one waiter in the restaurant as they were all outside. They really could not have cared less our food was literally plonked down, we were never asked if we wanted any more drinks the whole time we were there. One of the waiters whilst going outside yet again asked over his shoulder if the food was ok which it was. The pleasure of all this cost us £25 so not a cheap bad service meal by any means. I even sent an email when I got home as I was so annoyed but guess what no reply. Don't waste your money here go somewhere like Nawaab at Tong where the food is wonderful and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Won't be coming back here ever again but I am sure if your service is anything to go by you won't care

The website claimed to cater for Vegan diets - "if you are a vegan we can cook a bespoke meal following strict vegan principles with no dairy products or, if you would like something cooked in a specific way our chefs will be happy to cater to your requirements"When asked for our order i asked the waiter what vegan the meals the chef could prepare. The waiter didn't understand and i explained that it was a step on from vegetarian and was food prepared without any animal products, eggs, diary etc,. Initially i was told that this would be impossible as most of their food is pre prepared and cant be altered. I asked if he could ask the chef. Instead of asking the chef the waiter suggested i tried the Panner Pakora or King prawn Tikka for starters followed by Lamb Achari for mains!!!! As i was with a group i didn't want to upset eveyone and the waiter was clearly not understanding or willing to ask the chef, i eventually asked if they could cook a vegetable biryani without gee and in vegetable oil. I have no confidence this was cooked as requested. That aside, the starters arrived within 3 mins of ordering and were clearly precooked and warmed making them dry and unpalatable. Within minutes of the starters been cleared the main courses were on the table, no time to digest the first course! Most of the party thought the main course was acceptable, but nothing to shout about and considering the service and rush through would not be back again. Probably the worst restaurant experience I've had and with so many good places locally in Pudsey and Farsely, i wont be going back!!

Tried this restaurant out for the first time after good reports. The layout and most of the furniture was the same as the Italian restaurant before it. The food and service was excellent. However, when we ordered a pint of soda water to go with the wine we brought we didn't expect it to be £3.60! This put a stain on what was a good experience there. So whatever you do do not order any drinks. Fortunately you can take it with you.

I took my family to celebrate my birthday and went for the early bird offer. The food was lovely but the amount of time we had to wait for every course was ridiculous, it was early evening and the restaurant wasn't that busy. It took 40 minutes to get our first course, for a three course meal we were there for 2.30 hours!!!!! Also we didn't order or was even asked if we wanted the poppadoms that turned up whilst we waited for our starters only to find out when we paid our bill we were charged for them.

Decided to try here with some friends from Norway who were visiting and who like a good curry. I'm pleased to report that the curries were beautiful - all of the food was! It was a tad more expensive than I would normally pay for a curry in Bradford, but we didn't mind as what we overpaid for the food, we underpaid on our drinks as you take your own, and aren't charged anything for corkage etc. There were two let downs. First, the waiter taking our order was not too familiar with the (vast) menu, and when he brought our curries he couldn't tell the difference. However, this was back when they had just opened so we will forgive them this. Second, due to the layout of the place (which hasn't changed AT ALL since it was an Italian Restaurant previously) you always go home smelling of whatever they were cooking in the kitchen.

Having lived in and around Leeds Bradford for a decade and being a member of the unofficial "Leeds curry club" i have eaten at most of the big asian restaurants in the area, and can honestly say that Shezzans is now my current favorite, by some margin.I recently moved round the corner from the restaurant and shortly after moving in i decided to go for a walk with the other half and find something to eat. We stumbled upon shezzans and decided we had walked far enough and that we would give it a try...well.....What an absolute surprise. BYO alcohol was a good start, so i wandered next door to the bargain booze and picked up a bottle of white, the waiter immediately asked if i would like an ice bucket, which i thought was very attentive. The atmosphere is very 1980's indain restaurant (which is no bad thing in my opinion) its quite small and feels quite intimate and the smells from the kitchen fill the eating area which again is excellent and gets you in the mood for a good feed. Poppadoms, starters and mains then followed, the Lamb and spinach balti was excellent, as is the butter chicken, service was prompt and good from the all male serving team.Having polished off the meal i was presented with an astonishingly small bill and had to do a double take to make sure it was all on there......it was. Frankly at these prices, Akbars, Mumtaz, argrah should all be ashamed. But wait....no cash on me, and no signage to say no cards! Queue brown trousers time as no local cash points (although there now is a chargeable one 20m's from the front door). Sheepishly i told the waiter i had no cash on me, "no problem sir can you pop back and pay tomorrow?"...not the response i was expecting! Well, have now eaten there 10+ times over the past 5 months and enjoyed every visit, but now remembering to take (a nominal amount of) cash! The take away inst as good in all honesty, but at these prices why take away when you can eat in and not have to wash up afterwards!Highly recommended and i will certainly be visiting again... a lot! Not yet had to book, and the place always seems busy, so its nice to know that its always somewhere to go if the mood takes me.

First time visit on Saturday 08/03/14 and will certainly be back. Table for 4 booked for 6pm on arrival only 2 others seated downstairs but by 6.45 downstairs was full and new arrivals were being taken to the room upstairs. The staff were very friendly and helpful advising one of our group who was not a curry fan what to order. She cleared the plate commenting that the choice was excellent. All had starters and a main course with poppadoms and dips whilst waiting for our food(be aware these are not free). Service was prompt and efficient and the food was excellent. Yes there were people waiting for tables so booking is essential. There was a steady stream of takeaway customers during our stay. The waiter informed us they now do free delivery within 3 miles on orders over £10. Our total bill for 4 was £52 - excellent value. The restaurant does not serve alcohol or take plastic cards but there is a one stop shop next door with a free cash machine and plenty of booze on sale. Will certainly be back.

I booked a table for 7.30, however we weren't seated until 8.20. At no point did any one come over to apologise or offer us a drink. Once we got seated we had to ask 3 times for someone to take our order. The staff were rude and unhelpful. The waiter got my husbands order wrong which was fine as mistakes happen. He came back to our table 3 times to argue with us and tell us we were wrong. I have never had a waiter be so rude in all my life. We walked out and didn't have our main course. I am appalled and will never go back. Food was average.

So, we've also tried to order take aways which having given 2 hours notice still arrived over an hour late and was luke warm when it arrived. The restaurant needs to decide what it wants to be as it is clearly not capable of both.

This review is for the branch on Halifax Rd.Visited the new branch as per strong recommendations from family and friends. The place itself is nice and has been finished to a good standard, but take your coat with you if you're going to the toilets in the winter months - it's freezing! What compelled me to write this review is due to the ignorance of a few waiter's. I ordered a Palak Paneer Makhani with no coriander from the menu; what arrived was a Paneer Balti but with coriander. Not to worry I thought as mistakes happen. I was then presented with a Chicken and Paneer Makhani (I am vegetarian). They took this dish back and simply removed the chicken from the dish (I could see bits of chicken in it), but it was still missing the Palak in the dish. By this point the rest of my family had finished their meals. At each point where I was given the wrong dish I stressed what I wanted by pointing to it on the menu and writing it down for the waiter to see but this obviously had no effect. All of this could have been negated if the waiter simply read out what he wrote down in front of us before he took the order to the kitchen. Whilst I appreciate that mistakes can be made, especially on a busy Saturday night, there is simply no excuse for giving me a wrong dish three times. On a lighter note, the food quality is good and prices are competitive; it's just a shame that this experience has put me off visiting this restaurant again.

The other thing was we ordered poppadoms and pickles but when the starter was delivered these had not appeared. We had to ask again and ended up having the poppadoms with the starter! I will say the food was good though, but it should be when you pay £16-17 without drinks (you take your own)
