Sherrards in Barnet

Extremely rude staff. Do not ask them about allergies, or they will be very rude to you. I wanted to buy a gingerbread man for a child, but they refused to tell me about any allergy ingredients. Mind you, it is government law that they have to supply an ingredient list if you ask for one. They refused to do that too. The gingerbread men are good, but the human staff are inhuman. The child was very disappointed.

Has become a very expensive cafe that serves the most ordinary snacks to gullible people like me who don't check the overpriced items before ordering. 2 coffees, one white the other black, a sausage roll that was tepid, and a plain croissant. Nearly £16! Ridiculous.

Be careful it ripped u off it charges for the service 1.50 plus vat plus food rubbish

Osmond your smile and manner are in keeping with the institution Sherrards (genuine). Thank you for allowing me my Flat White as its not on the menu. You knocked it out of the ballpark. Next will be the Cortado 😉

Such wonderful staff working there! Always smiling and extremely polite, I'd especially point out Osman? I hope that is his name and his female colleague Vida!! ♥️♥️♥️ who are such a credit to the team and made me feel right at home on my first visit! A humble and wonderful family owned business !!! Definitely recommend 100% if you're in the area!! Tasty cupcakes and food! Will definitely be coming back again ♥️

Always pop in for lunch at work, jacket potato is delicious and the family that own it are so lovely. Always fresh and tasty food!

Best bakery in london! Lemon drizzle cake is outstanding, almond croissant is delicious and the cherry and almond tarts are unbelievable!!!

What’s happened to Sherrards? It has built up such a lot of goodwill over decades and it’s reputation is being ruined by rude and unhelpful sales assistants . The product is still great but it’s let down by the service. I went in this morning and they are unsmiling and actually quite aggressive when asked a simple questions . Frankly there are so many places to spend my money where the experience is more pleasant. I used to go all the time. Now I go to Kings, Gails etc

Went into shop this morning I was spoken to very rudely basically told to hurry up with my order by the woman on the counter. I also see that the chef preparing food without a face covering i will not be returning!!

Great sausage rolls but bagels are weird - floury and sweet.

Worst Salad I have ever had, better to be honest to the paying customer if you do not know how to make one than serving big slices of cucumber and tomatoes on a bed of lettuce and grated carrots garnished with smoked salmon. Absolutely aweful!

This morning I waited outside the shop and a manwas in there for a considerable amount of time without a face covering. The bakery assistants were wearing masks but did not request that he wear one. I politely asked him to cover his face and he refused. I therefore left the queue and went to another bakery. I then returned with my bread and informed the staff that Sherrards had lost my custom . I realize that it is very difficult for your lovely staff to confront customers. Some shops in this situation will hand out a mask to a customer at the door. I do not want you to loose custom because of others who flout the law. Barnet is at high risk of extra measures re COVID

Small but happy family owned bakery. Some days Mr. & Mrs Sherrads work behind the counter themselves and bring lots of joy to local customers. Always fresh pastries and tasty soups. Some days there are selection of Croissants from butter or margarine! Girls serving customers, in this bakery are always blissful!

Good bakery with sandwiches, drinks, pastries and cakes and other bakery products on sale. Able to eat in or take away. Some very good miniature cakes you can buy or pick n mix. Well worth a visit to have a try.

I just ordered a fried egg sandwich to take away. Halfway through eating it I noticed a small piece of bacon in the packaging. Opening the sandwich I found another small piece. They clearly made my order wrong and then just took the bacon out. Not acceptable.
