I’ve never done a review before because I’ve never been so angry and disappointed but Please for your own sake Do NOT GO Here worst experience I’ve ever had coming from London to Birmingham and thought I found good cafe to eat at the woman serving me has no communication skills whatsoever my food came wrong and cold and a day later I felt sick the breakfast is disgusting

No taste just spice. No lamb in lamb karahi. Lost my 60 pounds. I feel being robbed. Shameful

Auténtica cocina punjabi con un amplio menú. La masala de cordero era bastante sabrosa; el curry de cordero Karachi muy sabroso pero un poco demasiado picante. El pan roti estaba recién hecho y el arroz bien cocido. El jugo de mango era un poco delgado. Volveré para probar más platos.

Tuvimos una fiesta de cumpleaños para nuestro hijo en el restaurante hoy (6 / 4 / 25 ) y lo pasamos genial. El gerente y su personal era muy servicial. Principalmente la camarera Pretti que nos ayudó siendo muy rápido y educado. Fueron rápidos con la comida y la limpieza. Pedimos una gran cantidad para nuestra reunión de 40 personas. Teníamos el plato, pollo jalfrezi, cordero karahi, y pollo balti con naan. Todo el mundo disfrutó de la comida de adultos a los niños. Es la primera vez que voy a un restaurante y nadie se ha quejado. El pescado en el plato era popular. Investigamos algunos lugares, pero todos eran quisquillosos, Sher Khan no. Permitieron una pequeña cantidad de confeti, nuestra propia configuración de mesa de cumpleaños, y el diseño. Buen trabajo, chicos. Definitivamente te usaré la próxima vez.

No pudimos comer. Esperamos 20 minutos para que alguien tomara nuestra orden pero nadie apareció. La esposa entonces se levantó para encontrar a alguien a quien ordenar y le dijeron que alguien habría terminado. Diez minutos después, la mesa de personas blancas junto a nosotros que acababan de sentarse recibió su orden. Esperamos otros 10 minutos antes de salir. Tal vez si no me hubiera puesto un bata me habrían servido.

Good food, service could be much better as staff usually stand around rather than check in with tables. Very stingy with tissues, sauces, salads etc. Only give salt sachets! Toilets have always been absolutely vile and doubt they’ll ever improve. Urine and tissues always everywhere. Cleaning & hygiene standards need to increase. Outdated music, the same songs on repeat so boring.

Rubbish. This place has really gone down hill over the years. Went today (Saturday pm), they weren't that busy at all but still waited 15 mins for someone to see us before the wife got up and asked if someone could take our order. She was told someone would come over. Ten minutes later, nothing. So we left.it is a disrespect. I table of white women next to us came after us and got seen to and had their order taken before us. So, yes, disrespectful to Muslims is my only conclusion as I was wearing a thobe.

This place has been around as long as I can remember. I have to say that if you want some really quick tasty food. This is the place to go. The portion sizes are good and the curry is excellent. When it comes to what you get for the prices. Once at star city, this is definitely a place not to take off the list. It's fully halal certified and the fact it has been there as long as it has been speaks for itself. I've never had a bad experience.

We went on Sunday for Eid huge family booking for 17 people half of which have had food poisoning. We asked for the food to be mild as we had lots of kids with us but everything came out ridiculously spicy we didn’t want to complain as it was so busy so we just ate what we could. My son had the chicken biryani and yoghurt dip which he projectile vomited 30 mins after eating whilst we were still in the restaurant, my niece is currently off school with food poisoning and my brother also. I really would not advise anyone to go here especially with kids it’s not worth the repercussions.

We visited this restaurant on Sunday for a large Eid family gathering. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing, and several members of our group have since suffered from food poisoning. Despite specifically requesting mild dishes due to the number of children in our party, the food was excessively spicy, making it difficult for many of us to eat. Given how busy the restaurant was, we refrained from complaining at the time and did our best to manage. However, shortly after eating, my nephew became violently ill, vomiting while we were still in the restaurant. Since then, my daughter has been unable to attend school due to food poisoning, and my sister has also fallen ill. This experience has been deeply concerning, and I would strongly caution others—especially families with young children—against dining here. The risk to health and well-being is simply not worth it.

2hours late delivery,was really small order shouldn't be 2hours late,,told driver take the food back,restaurant need to improve delivery service,food was ordered at 5:08pm,was just 2 rotties and 2 Alloo tikki,2hours to make this order,really disappointed 👎🏻

Food wasn’t cooked I was fasting finished work late so I went to eat after 7pm it wasn’t busy at all i ordered starter lamb chops and chips and samosa chat but chips wasn’t cooked properly. Achari chicken masala wasn’t cooked and meat was disgusting rice and nan was fine after all day fasting food was disappointing I think chef doesn’t care I did let the waiter know that we can’t eat the food it’s not cooked properly but nothing was done

This place is weird it serves super authentic desi food which tastes great but you will always find something. Last time I found hair on my naan. Not to mention it looks so outdated like common guys this isn’t early 2000’s anymore

Decent food and friendly staff but the restaurant needs updating in terms of the decor. The seats are torn which isn't nice and doesn't give a good impression. Visited recently on a weekend and it was very cold inside so they need to put the heating on too.

The worst curry I’ve ever eaten!! No flavour whatsoever. Freezing cold food! The chicken tikka masala I ordered looked like red soup!! No texture apart from the tiny chicken lumps! Couldn’t eat it!! Waste of money will never go near this place again vile!!

Went today and it was very cold had to keep my jacket on. The food had come and it just seemed they have thrown in Kashmiri chilli powder in the biryani and served it to us with a lot of oil. Nasty. The starters were all just very spicy and no real taste. I come back after a few years but each time I do I’m always disappointed

Id neaver eat from here again there was sum kind of cleanning product in curry and when i phoned up about this they said nothink they can do about this what a joke so its ok for them to put cleanning product in ur food

Very bad experience even when we order the food never on point either it’s cold or no taste, visited yesterday ordered half Piri piri chicken with fries they gave whole chicken instead when we informed the waiter he took it back ripped the chicken then gave same plate back no seasoning or flavour chips very dry without any salt… lamb chops wasn’t well done as requested also asked for green chillies couple of times but the waiter and waitresses just run and hide service was 0/10 so was the food very disappointed as we use to come here on a regular basis each week even use to tip… also the toilets are very filthy unclean out of service or the loo is flooded the place needs a refurb and staff change as the workers are just there chatting away in corners or just standing there without wanting to take order if they do they always end up rushing around giving the starter then quickly the mains when the starter wasn’t even finished overall place should just close down disgusting day by day! Avoid this place!!!

Muy mala experiencia, incluso cuando pedimos la comida nunca en su lugar, ya sea que esté frío o sin sabor, visitado ayer pidió medio pollo Piri piri con papas fritas que dieron pollo entero en su lugar cuando informamos al camarero que lo tomó de vuelta rasgó el pollo y luego devolvió el mismo plato sin condimento o chips de sabor muy seco sin nada de sal... chuletas de cordero no estaba bien hecho como se pidió también pidió guindillas verdes un par de veces, pero el camarero y camareras simplemente corrió y esconder el servicio era 0 / 10 por lo que la comida estaba muy decepcionado como solemos venir aquí de forma regular cada semana incluso solía dar propinas... también los baños son muy sucios fuera de servicio o el baño está inundado el lugar necesita una renovación y el personal cambia, ya que los trabajadores están allí charlando en esquinas o simplemente parado allí sin querer tomar orden si lo hacen, siempre terminan corriendo dando el entrante, entonces rápidamente la red cuando el entrante ni siquiera había terminado lugar general debería cerrar repugnante día a día! ¡Evita este lugar!

Fabulous, authentic food. The place was full on a Saturday evening and that really tells you everything. Service is quick and portions huge. Great value for money. We've been a few times and it's great. Try the chicken achari! 🤤

I had the saag gosht and it was vile. Very salty and overly spiced, couldn't taste a thing due to its spice level. The meat was also extremely chewy and something just didn't feel right with my dish. I have a feeling this is a common thing with many of the dishes here. The plain rice is rubbery and also very low quality. The naan and my fish starter were the only decent things I had. I would avoid this restaurant if you actually want flavourful, well spiced food.

Fabulous food. Made my Dad’s favourite curry that wasn’t on the menu. Usman our waiter was superb and gave us a great experience.

Food is definitely a solid 9 out of 10. We had one of the best chicken on the bone karahi! Pakora and seekh kebab were delicious too. The ambiance and seating is not so great. The chairs were so uncomfortable and the tables were dirty.

Food and service is great. You really need to renovate your restaurant. Its not been updated for over 10 years. When walking in now and seeing this place look so old really puts people off visiting again. Your Feltham branch looks good, you should do something like this for the Bham branch too.

I recently visited Shere Khan, my favourite restaurant and had an exceptional dining experience. The food was truly a delight. The aloo tikki was perfectly spiced and fresh. The fish tikka was beautifully cooked. The highlight, however, was the lamb karahi—a rich, aromatic dish with tender chunks of lamb that paired wonderfully with their fresh paratha. For dessert, I indulged in a variety of sweet treats. The falooda was refreshing and indulgent, with just the right balance of sweetness and textures. The mint chocolate chip ice cream and coconut ice cream were the perfect way to end the meal, both creamy and packed with flavour. The service was attentive, and the ambiance added to the authentic experience. The manager is always friendly and stays on top of everything! I highly recommend Shere Khan for anyone craving delicious and well-prepared pakistani cuisine. I’ll definitely be returning! When you go, try their desi tea too it’s amazing!

Absolutely Diabolical! 🤢🤮 Ate at Shere Khan's Restaurant, haven't been in a while due to the standards being so low. Watched a movie and thought we would give it another try and boy were we badly let down again. Staff Members are absolutely clueless and the food can only be compared to a backstreet takeaway serving clubbers on a night out who are too pissed to realise good food. The last time we visited was roughly 10 years ago and how sad they still have the same wallpaper, tables, chairs and carpets! That being said, having good chefs and staff should be of absolute paramount to any food business. Especially a place like Shere Khan's that has extortionate prices. We do not recommend this place.

We had the best Pakistani food in a long time. We were served by the very kind and helpful Usman and the also very friendly Nepalese waiter. Thank you very much for the excellent food & service.

I rarely write reviews, but my recent experience at this restaurant was so appalling that I feel compelled to warn others. During our meal, we requested a jug of water. To our horror, we noticed something moving inside it; a live worm! The sheer disgust we all felt is indescribable. This is beyond unacceptable for any establishment serving the public. We immediately called over the waiter, who, to his credit, apologised and brought the issue to the manager. However, what followed was even more shocking. The manager was dismissive and unapologetic, brushing off the situation as if finding a worm in drinking water was no big deal. This lack of concern for basic hygiene and public health is both infuriating and deeply worrying. It’s clear this restaurant needs an urgent visit from health officials. If there’s a live worm in their water, what does that say about their water system and overall cleanliness? This is not just a matter of poor service—this is a serious public health risk that needs to be addressed immediately. I strongly urge everyone to think twice before dining here. The thought of what might be lurking in their food or drinks is enough to make anyone lose their appetite. Zero stars if I could give it that. Health authorities, please take note!

Once a great place, now mediocre. Been eating here for decades, but the quality of the food has really gone down, the place is dirty, and in need of refurbishment. Today, ordered a chicken Jalfrezi, the taste was Ok, but it had no chillies, and hardly any chicken, the dish was full of gravey. Also ordered the Chicken Tikka Biryani, the taste was lacking, no biryani fragrance or taste, and tikka used had no flavour. The Garlic Nan was nice. It’s about time they cleaned the place, refurb the furnishings, and go back to improving the dishes.

Feeling very generous with ratings as we visited for my mum's birthday. Food came out hot and was very tasty, although quite spicy for things like the onion Pakora when it didn't need to be. Service was excellent, didn't catch his name but he was consistently checking on us and got us everything we needed. Whilst they made an effort and food was enjoyable, atmosphere could be better, bit louder music etc. The general restaurant is tired looking, wallpaper peeling off walls, tables scratched (could use tablecloths?), seating in entrance is ripped and general seating inside is poor and old. The toilets was the main disaster, they were absolutely awful. Clearly customers there can't use the female toilets properly but staff should be checking them regularly. Two cubicles were out of order but only one toilet was usable, others were filthy. Taps and sinks were tatty. Poor service considering we paid nearly £100 for the total bill. Hope it gets sorted because we probably won't go back.

We didn’t like the food at all We had chicken butter mutton sag and haleem none of the dishes taste was good , starters paneer pakora and mini burger only paneer eatable rest was sorry for the word but ( horrible) we paid 80£ but the food was not worth it at all . Service is very professional and helpful big like for the all team Decoration tables places everything was nice Hygiene not that good we had two glasses dirty with lipsticks 😒 Overall not good experience

Me and my misses came to this restaurant and absolutely loved the food, we found out that you also delivered. We’ve ordered tonight and the food tastes exactly as if we was eating in. The food was absolutely fantastic and was still boiling hot, the quality was amazing. We will definitely be ordering again.

Went for family meal and found hair in my curry, instead of apologising they tried to make excuses - not impressed.

Todos coincidimos en que era la mejor comida que habíamos comido en mucho tiempo. Nos atendió un camarero llamado Usman que era un crédito para el restaurante.

Was so looking forward to tonight, but was spoilt by how horrible the butter chicken tasted. It was as if a can of tomato soup was poured all over the chicken. Definitely a let down and will not come here again. Very disappointed. Management had no interest at all.

Absolutely shocking! 😳 food was bland but extremely spicy., despite asking for it to be extra mild. They brought us cold yogurt to mix in: resulting in cold food that now just tasted like yogurt. We didn’t eat any of it.:. So when the bill came I asked if they could take anything off at all after not being able to eat it: The manager shouted at the girl for not offering a new order. And then took a mere 10% off the bill. Utter disgrace for customer service: Vomited the few mouth fulls I did eat. Never again … very dissatisfied

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shere Khan Restaurant, and I must say, the experience was elevated significantly thanks to the outstanding service provided by Mr. Malik Adil Rehman. Mr. Adil Rehman greeted us with a warm smile and his knowledge of the menu was impressive. The food itself was exceptional (lamb chops, karahi, BBQ & dessert). The flavors were authentic, and each dish was prepared to perfection. Mr. Rehman made sure to check in with us frequently, ensuring that everything was to our satisfaction. His attention to detail, from the presentation of the food to the pacing of the meal, exemplified excellent service. I look forward to my next visit!

We've been dining at Shere Khan's for nearly 15 years, enjoying their authentic Pakistani, Bengali, and Indian cuisine. Without a doubt, it's the best food in the region. *Lamb chops! The service, especially from our waiter Uttam, has always been exceptional. No matter how busy it gets, Uttam consistently makes sure we are well taken care of. It was really a good experience with food environment and money spending. Loved the place and taste of food. Everything was delicious and properly cooked with different spices and tastes. Prices of food are too higher side compared to other similar restaurants. We had lunch and dinner there but it was too expensive every time

I visited Shere Khan at Star City in Birmingham with my friends and my family with my toddler. The food was a mixed bag—the lamb karahi was very good, and the lamb chops were tasty, but the butter chicken tasted more like chicken in tomato sauce. They had food options for children which my little one enjoyed. They also provided a high chair. The atmosphere was a bit dark and gloomy, which wasn't very inviting. We also noticed that the cutlery wasn't cleaned properly, but the waiters were kind enough to promptly provide us with clean ones when we asked. Overall, it was an okay experience, but there’s room for improvement.

Only platter was tasty was not happy with remaining foods we ate.

I had a thoroughly enjoyable visit to the restaurant. The establishment was impeccably clean and welcoming, and the service was outstanding. Tika, the gentleman who attended to us, was exceptionally polite and accommodating, significantly enhancing our experience. The food was superb, particularly the peshwari naan, which was the finest I have ever tasted. I look forward to returning in the future.

The place was dim, dirty, with dust all over the chandeliers and sticky, unpleasant tables. I specifically requested that the food be made very mild, but it came out extra spicy. The quality of the meat and chicken was poor, likely mixed with leftovers from the previous night. While the staff were polite, the overall experience was disappointing. We won’t be coming back.

First thing first the food here was 10/10 delicious, really filling and good portions, the menu needs upgrading as half of the items weren’t available. The restaurant was so dark inside it felt like you were in a different country, the tables were sticky and half cleaned. The service was terrible the guy was rude and pushy, he also got our order wrong twice, like make it make sense. Overall, 20 minutes late if busy / Food was great / service was terrible / total made sense / don’t go when it’s hot outside as they have no Air Con unless you like to sweat and eat!

We ordered a takeaway £90 in total it was cold and not nice and very very greasy would I go here again no. Normally use tipu Moseley but this was nearer.

We went to Shere Khan in a big group of 37 people without any reservations. We were not expecting much considering that we had not pre-booked and it was almost 10:00pm (their kitchen closes at 10:30pm. However it was a great relief that they could accommodate our big group on such short notice and were very helpful with processing our huge order quickly. We tried their combo platter with chips, maghaz, chickens karahi, daal and kerala gosh along with salad and mango lassi. We were very impressed with how quick their service was. The food came promptly and it was all freshly prepared and very tasty. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal and we had no issues at all with our order. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be going back again.

I have been coming here for nearly 20 years and it is one of the best restaurants when they get it right ✅️. It's conveniently located in Star City in Nechells, Brum. I have seen many staff come and go. I have met the owner on several occasions, and when I have the managers, they suddenly become more attentive, which is amusing. Saj was one the best managers, but he moved to pastures new. However, despite the shortcomings, it is still a lovely place to dine, especially with one's family. We love the peri chicken, lamb biryani, mutton chops with mint sauce, karahi with plain naan. The chutney trays are nice too. The prices, although, higher than they used to be, are still reasonable compares with others. The toilets can do with more attention as it lets it down somewhat. I love sitting in one of the 6 booths. The desserts are slightly above average. I do like the old school classic, cornflake tart with custard. When they get everything right it is simply the best! When they get it wrong they don't want to admit there is a problem. Overall I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to all!

I ordered a pick up take away to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. However the way the take away was packed that when my other daughter picked up the box, it left oil marks on her clothing because the take away rubs were not sealed correctly. My daughter had oil marks on her jacket, jeans and jacket.
