Shawa in Oxford

Probé el cordero Shawarma: una opción de relleno, económica y mejor en movimiento. La carne era un poco masticable se podría haber cocinado más. Probé su baklava, un poco caro y estaba demasiado seco con menos nueces. He tenido mejor degustación de baklava en otros lugares.

Estábamos en el centro comercial Westgate y estábamos buscando algo para comer. Terminé en el patio de comidas que tenía una buena variedad de comida. Lo intenté de Shawa. Tuve el plato de cordero shawarma que era bastante agradable y tenía todas mis cosas favoritas, incluyendo hummus y tabulé. . . Cordero era un poco exagerado pero sabía muy bien. Me dieron salsa extra picante en el lado, que era una ventaja.

I ate here with my boyfriend on a busy Saturday lunchtime. We shared a whole chicken and had some rice and salad on the side. The chicken was quite flavourless, the salad that came with it was just tomato and cucumber really, but the rice was tasty. The mint tea was also quite poor. I love Lebanese food, but i'm not sure if i'd go back here or not.

First visit to Shawa Lebanese Grill and the last visit that I’ll be making. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma on Lebanese bread, which was basically a wrap from the local supermarket. When I got the wrap it was stone cold. The chicken and salad was just so bland. There was no taste to it at all. It was also very greasy. When I lifted the wrap up to eat, it just fell apart and all the filling came out. This place is also very expensive for what you get. £5.45 for a dull wrap. I could have gone to McDonalds and had the wrap of the day for £1.99 and this would have been better tasting. I went away still feeling hungry...

Mi hija sugirió ir al comedor, así que mi papá y yo decidimos por Shawa. Ambos tuvimos la envoltura de pollo, ensalada de col y ensalada de tomate, todo muy sabroso. Mi hija y su amiga eligieron un lugar de comida diferente.

Very good service and tasty food. I had tried halloumi wrap and the chicken platter, both juicy and good. Cheap for the quantity and quality of food.

Tasty inexpensive Lebanese food, just what’s required to sustain a flagging shopper! Fast efficient service, chilled ambience.

We had two chicken shawarma platters. They looked good and the plates were full but they didn’t taste as good as they looked. They were quite bland and became a chore to eat after a while.

Went here this weekend just gone for my friends hen do. The service was lovely though out and really made us feel welcome. They were happy with us putting balloons up and bits on the table as well. The food was lovely very warm and tasty. Every really enjoyed there food though out. The meals are quite big so don't worry about that. 100% recommend and would 100% go back.

I ordered a chicken kebab from a very tired looking staff, the chicken was cut In front of me and I could already see how dry it looked. I asked the server if it was dry but she ensured that it would taste fresh and juicy. However, when I tried it became clear that it was not fresh at all. It tasted dry and had no taste. Would not come back

Been a couple of times now and on both occasions the wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the food. The lamb wraps are really good and packed full of ingredients. Everything has been served nice and hot and with a smile. The meal deal is a fantastic offer.

This is my third visit to Be Social now, and again, I wished I had stuck with my first choice and gone back to Rola Wala! I ordered chicken shwarma and french fries, and the (both helpful and friendly) assistant offered me a meal deal with drink too (unlike Neds Noodles!) The wrap left me feeling - just meh! Wasn't horrible, but wasn't quite right either, a couple of bites were really really salty, which wasn't nice at all, but the rest was just blah. Couldn't quite put my finger on it, but didn't enjoy it much at all and the french fries were cold :-( Sorry to say I probably wouldn't visit again

Lunchtime Saturday 24th March and we visited the Social at Westgate (the food court) in the basement of the Mall. There was a variety of restaurants offering foods and flavours of the world. We decided to try Lebanese food, so we ordered a Chicken Shawarma Platter £12.50, which was sufficient for 2 people sharing. There were lots tables and seating around the food court and diners could sit where they fancied in available seating. The service was very efficient and the food very tasty, we made a good choice visiting here.
