Always a wonderful evening out at Shambles thank you 🙏🏻

Our time at Shambles was great… 3 had Tiger prawn starter, which was amazing and 1 had the mozzarella, which was really enjoyed. 3 had ribeye steak main, 1 had the baby chicken. However, those found the steak to be quite plain tasting. There was nothing that made us go “omg, wow, gorgeous!”. We wouldn’t say it was disappointing because we ate it, but it needs something else to boost it up to the top of the taste ladder. But as it is, we don’t think it was worth the £40 price tag. 1 of us had the baby chicken, which was loved. This was our first visit, and will definitely go back. You can’t take a first visit, as gospel that all the food will be less than satisfactory. It’s a case of trying something different or visit at another time of the day. But to add, Shambles has a fantastic atmosphere, was PACKED with customers and staff are very attentive and professional.

Excellent all round for a superb night out.

We came for Sunday Lunch. The food was exceptional. Easily the best Sunday Lunch I’ve eaten out. Service exemplary. We are in the bar by a warm fire. Couldn’t have been any better.

La carta de vinos es extensa y ofrece una buena relación calidad-precio. El servicio es del tipo que solo las empresas familiares pueden ofrecer. Tienen un hermoso jardín cubierto que es perfecto para almuerzos y cenas en primavera y verano. Último pero. Al menos sus almuerzos de domingo son los mejores que he tenido. No puedo elogiar este lugar lo suficiente.

Good good well priced and staff paid special attention to my partially sighted friend - not too much, but spot on.

We had a good evening here, with great service and authentic Italian food. My pork pasta dish was nice but salty, but all other dishes in our group were excellent. We found the dining area uncomfortably noisy at times, probably thanks to a full room and acoustics. I would recommend for a lively evening out!

We had a delightful evening, thank you. As it was a Wednesday it was very quiet, which was fine. The dining room is fine, maybe looking a bit tatty these days. And the staff with it being quiet leaned about looking a bit bored which was distracting. The bar looks much nicer. However the waitress was lovely and not overpowering as they can be sometimes. I absolutely hate that. Food is so expensive that we wouldn’t go very often but it is beautifully prepared and delicious. A particular high light was the Shambolini loved that, and that they have 40 wines by the glass. So I was able to choose an absolutely delicious wine. Loved that. The place is a Teddington Pillar so we should all support it. Tiramisu was a little disappointing, a bit watery. I should have tried something more adventurous. Spotted bottles of Negroni above the bar that they prepare themselves. Put that in my minds lock box for Xmas presents.

Great food, and just the right level of attention from the excellent serving team. It's a sign of a good restaurant where there remember who is having what on the table. Lovely house red.

Delicious food & excellent friendly, considerate service! So lucky to have this great local restaurant to be able to relax and enjoy the great ambiance. Great online shop too!

Great food, great service but sat in the doorway with a particularily noisy table next door was challenging. Fortunately we were able to move.

We recently had a lovely dinner at Shambles! The food was delicious—fresh, seasonal, and full of flavour. The service was warm and attentive, and the cozy garden setting added a special charm. A hidden gem in Teddington, perfect for a relaxed and memorable evening. Highly recommend!

Friendly service delicious food and a lovely atmosphere.

Gorgeous restaurant, delicious food, wonderful service and the live pianist was a great extra touch! Also FRESH gluten free pasta that was clearly homemade - absolute heaven as any GF person knows, it’s so hard to find Italian restaurants with GF alternatives!

Sunday roast was divine and plenty of it.

Really lovely food and service very accommodating for me who is a non carb eater. Made the most of the wine offer also. Got a table by the fire. There’s a better ambiance in the front bar as opposed to the rear area for eating. Poss that the dining area is feeling quite dated. But still lovely and the important things, food and wine and service, were brilliant.

Fantastic evening celebrating Jo's 50th Birthday. The team were so friendly and helpful and I would recommend it as a special venue to celebrate big or small celebrations, thank you for making Jo's birthday so memorable, food was delicious, music and atmosphere just perfect.

Our food was absolutely delicious! The service was just right. There is always a great atmosphere at Shambles. Cosy and warm with the piano tinkling in the background. Fabulous!

Excellent cooking , with emphasis on use of herbs/ spices for flavouring,top class.Very pleasant seating and atmosphere when fuller would have been great I’m sure.

The restaurant was very busy as it was a Sunday lunchtime with an England rugby match that afternoon but this didn't affect the level of service we received.

It's a wonderful place, we've been going there for years and the standard has never dropped. Delicious food, warm and comfortable environment with a lovely garden area, and the owner always there to greet you. Who could ask for more?

Everything was excellent and especially for me, the beef and the accompanying gravy, they were just amazing.

We had another lovely lunch at Shambles yesterday to celebrate a birthday. The food and service were excellent as always and we love the atmosphere in the restaurant.

Lovely evening. Great food and good service in a pretty restaurant. We had a special Valentine's meal. The bill came with a complimentary rose to take home! Highly recommended and we will definitely be visiting again.

We were disappointed to be placed by the front door on a small table and were subjected to gusts of cold air every time somebody came in. we had not been to this restaurant before and therefore were unaware that there were better tables further inside. We also did not find the loud piano music and singing condusive to an intimate Valentine experience. My meal was extremely good, in particular the oysters. My husband found his starter disappointing as it was extremely small. The service was also poor but as it was a very busy evening this could have been improved by engaging more staff. We left without any acknowledgement - others were leaving clutching a red rose. We thought it was impersonal and rather expensive, not sure if we will be coming back.

Excellent as always, I never expect anything less from Shambles. It's my absolute very place to go as a treat. This year was the first year we've ever gone out for Christmas dinner, and we're so glad we did. The food was incredible, and such a good variety of choice (we really liked that we didn't have to pre order) all of the staff were welcoming and lovely. We appreciate what it's like to work Christmas day (having done so many Christmas' ourselves) so we understand and really do appreciate how welcoming you all are.

Superb restaurant. Food was excellent Italian, the Pugliese starter and Brasato main were both delicious. Wine was lovely and there was a great choice.

Food, service, venue were all top notch. On a chilly midweek evening, the fires were comforting. We had a relaxed evening with excellent food: the monkish/prawn pasta and steak followed by tiramisu and arance. It's great Shambles has a wide range of wines by the glass or carafe. The Soave was super.

What a wonderful authentic Italian experience! We had dinner there with friends by the fireplace in January and it warmed our hearts. The cocktails were incredible. I highly recommend the Passionfruit Martini! The food was elegant and authentic. Again I would recommend the slow cooked beef, or the steak… The quality of the meat was beautiful. My husband had the calamari and he said it was the best he has ever had. And for desert we had the most spectacular Bombardino, an Italian eggnog, with home-made Cannolo and Amaretti biscuits which melted in our mouths, left us wanting to come back again! Just wonderful.

I'm never be ever Disappointed! The food is always 20 out of 10 service another 20 out of 10 with the atmosphere. I find it's a little bit of a time warp and that's what we need in this ever changing world little bit of a stability and quality in the suburbs.

Didn't eat but dropped by for a lovely glass of red wine by the opening fire .... very hospitable with a friendly warm atmosphere!

Fuimos en posiblemente el día más ocupado del año (20 de diciembre) y el servicio que recibimos fue increíble. Nos hicieron sentir tan especial y cada plato que pedimos era delicioso, incluyendo el vino que era tan bueno. Este tiene que ser mi restaurante favorito y volveremos muy pronto.

We were welcomed into the restaurant and sat at a large table, more than enough for our group of nine. The food was delicious and my Zuppa "papa pomodoro" Tuscan soup was divine. Followed by and equally delicious Casarecce spicy n'duja and pork ragu dish. as a follow up this we had bombardinos an eggnog and brandy cream concoction as pictured. Wonderful, wonderful afternoon.

We came for an early supper with our son and his wife and two year old and new baby. The staff were so kind and thoughtful. The food and service were as amazing as ever.

We were a group of 7 and we had a fantastic evening. The menu was full of mouth watering choices and difficult to make a choice as so much appealed and when the food arrived it was superb, the service everything you would want, and the atmosphere was perfect. Nothing to fault. We all agreed we would be back, either together or with our partners, and we are looking forward to returning.

A meal with friends that met expectations.

Really lovely relaxing lunch, cost atmosphere with the fire lit and not overly busy. Food was really tasty, a little rich, but great quality and portion sizes were perfect.

Food and staff good as usual, just a bit disappointed that were few other diners. Expected a bit more of a buzz for December.

We went for our Book Club Christmas Party. We all had the best time, the atmosphere was perfect with the gorgeous piano playing, and the food, of course, was delicious. Its one of the best restaurants in Teddington, with excellent service!

If you get a chance to pop in for a drink in the evening, do so! We are not local and when passing the restaraunt last night were tempted by the lovely looking atmosphere and gentleman playing the piano.. We are so glad we went in. Excellent service at our table. I can't comment on food as we didn't have any but what a lovely bar for a drink.

Great food, drink and service! Our go to place in Teddington!

We regularly call-in at Shambles either for a full meal or for drinks and snacks at the bar. The welcome is always warm and accommodating (even when busy) and the service is excellent. In my view the food has improved significantly in recent years and is now of a very high standard. We are lucky to have Shambles in the heart of Teddington!

Best restaurant in the area by a mile. Great seasonal menu and superb wine list. Never disappoints.

Amazing restaurant, the food is delicious and it's family owned, and family run so the service and atmosphere are lovely. We also had our wedding lunch here which was really special!

The only thing I would suggest us giving steak knives to customers having beef as the knives given were not sharp enough

Had the most amazing Sunday Roast, everything cooked to perfection. The overnight roasted beef was pink and tender.

It was just over priced imo. I think when you are charging ~£26 for a chicken breast with white beans and gravy, there's only so much it can be elevated. Most food was nice, that's not the issue (although the aubergine steak was a little bitter and needed sauce!) but when you start straying into £25-35/main, no side, territory you really have to be delivering and it wasn't there. Have been there before and had a better time, may come again if the menu changes.

Precioso restaurante y gran servicio, pero en mi humilde opinión, la comida es muy cara. Compartimos un precioso plato de gambas, pero mi pechuga de pollo en una cama de salsa indiferente llena de lentejas sin verduras a más de £ 25 fue una decepción. El vino a £ 13 por una copa pequeña también era caro para lo que era. Lo siento, pero no por mí.

Margarita and her team gave us a truly magical evening with cocktails, 4 course Italian specialties, complimentary extras, and Maurice on piano! Las fabulosas carnes asadas, pudines de Yorkshire, patatas asadas y un gran plato de verduras verdes fue una porción masivamente generosa. Me encanta Porcetta y el crujido fue excelente. Los entrantes eran grandes también - gambas en un ajos, salsa de tomate y un gran gran granero de focaccia. El jardín es encantador, así como el personal

Esta fue nuestra segunda visita a este restaurante. La primera vez fue un almuerzo con la familia que disfrutamos fuera en la extensa zona de comer al aire libre. Esta es realmente la mejor característica de este restaurante, por lo que estábamos encantados de que el tiempo era caluroso para nuestra visita nocturna. Shambles es un restaurante italiano de lujo. Aunque hay un horno de pizza al aire libre en las instalaciones, actualmente no ofrece pizza en el menú. Lo que hay en el menú es comida italiana refrescante. Me gustó mucho mi entrante de espárragos con frijoles que era encantador y fresco, y mi espagueti delgado principal con azotes de trufa afeitada. Aunque era un viernes por la noche bastante estándar, había un aire de celebración entre nuestros compañeros comensales, así que diría que este es un destino para ocasiones especiales, al menos por las noches. En realidad no hay inconvenientes, aunque generalmente preferimos tomar bebidas antes de la cena en un pub local antes de cenar, mientras que el personal parece esperar que los huéspedes tengan al menos una ronda de bebidas antes de la cena antes de pedir, así que tuvimos que explicarles esto. Our food was enjoyable , however feel that shambles is getting cheeky with their pricing and feel that although the food was nice it doesn't warrant the prices they are currently charging - Service was also very slow between courses , and should be much quicker considering what they are charging one would expect a much quicker service

Great food and a lovely restaurant but unfortunately got food poisoning twice from this place. Both times I had pasta so I am not sure if there was something wrong with the dough or their sauce

Came to Shambles for a birthday meal as a treat as it is now pretty expensive. Had a pumpkin starter, a slice of garnished pumpkin which oddly was warm and cold, and cooked and raw in different parts at the same time. I have no idea how the chef managed to achieve this, but it really wasn't nice. The proprietor was very concerned when they saw I hadn't eaten it and apologised profusely when hearing what the issue was. The main then came, ravioli with sauce and filled with Pheasant (might have been another game bird). Absolutely delicious, until I started crunching on bones in the filling. I tried every single piece of ravioli, all had some bones in, a really disappointing way to ruin an expensive meal. Paid the bill and left hungry.

Lovely garden and a cool place, menu looked good, but it was £17.80 for a glass of the cheapest, and pretty mediocre, rose and a pint of beer. Meh.

Took the wife for a birthday dinner and sat in the garden in beautiful sunshine. What a fabulous meal! She had the veggie risotto and I had the inferno prawns and a perfectly cooked cod dish. Was recommended a great bottle of rose. Service was excellent (as usual). 10 out of 10!

Lovely local Italian restaurant. In the summer the garden is beautiful.

The food here was absolutely delicious. We were a party of 7 and everyone loved their food. Very generous portion as well for a great price (London standards). The pasta main plates were huge! They had a lovely backyard covered with trees which was perfect for a nice sunny day in London without getting too hot. The staff were very attentive and nice. We will be coming back to try more dishes! Highly recommend!

Food too expensive for very small portions, had pasta with monk fish, it was too salty and pasta didn't taste like freshly made as mentioned in the menu, didn't point it out as we had to send focaccia bread back already being too salty and very hard. We were disappointed.

The food was so nice and the dessert. I could see the chef truly loves the food and cooking. Highly recommended!!!

A beautiful genuinely Italian resurant. A great menu of choices the food was fantastic and topped off with fantastic garden dining area you would never guess was there. A hidden gem!

Went for Sunday lunch & had roast beef & Yorkshire Pudding. Beautifully cooked & served with spring veg, that was not overcooked & crunchy roast potatoes. All very delicious!

My wife and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with our children, spouses and grandchildren in the garden yesterday. Such a magical setting enhanced by spectacular food, wine and service!!! An absolute must for anyone who loves exceptional quality!!!!!
