Pizza base couldnt take the weight of the toppings and was falling apart. Changed their chicken to diced chicken and the chicken to curry ratio was way off. Used to be our fave but wont be ordering again.

I'm extremely disappointed just have a look at the chapati it was raw and we couldn't even eat this was the first and last time we ordered something from that place so called baryani It tasted like turmeric it was absolutely disgusting we had to put everything in the bin never ever going to order anything from them again

Prawn puri and peshwari naan were ok but the pasanda was oily, the sauce had separated and didn’t taste like a pasanda.

If I was only able to use one word it would be disgusting. The food arrived cold. looked like they had forgotten they were cooking a curry as, to be honest, wall paper paste has more taste. Bread was overcooked to the point it was burnt to a crisp and unedible. Used to be a great place for takeout but I certainly won't be ordering again.

The only reason I can think of the restaurant delivering early was to get rid of the abomination that they called a korma, it arrived and was genuinely worried it would spring to life and dissolve my body like the blob. To call it a korma is an insult to Indian food it was more like cottage cheese with lamb in it looked milk like but stodgy like porridge absolutely no flavour, shocking example of food.

Food arrived very quickly and delivery driver was very polite. Sadly the food was extremely cold - hadn’t been cooked for nearly long enough.

I don’t know what went on tonight but our order (2 mixed kebabs) was unexpected early, which we were happy with. However the food was appalling. The grease on the grey shade of the doner meat was so severe it had soaked through everything. The pitta was a sodden mess. The chicken seemed ok but as it was caked in grease we didn’t even attempt it. The bright green cabbage is back, staining everything in sight. Why, why are we using green food colour? I got the cheese pizza and drink deal as well as the chicken box. Pizza was somehow burnt and freezing cold and was lacking any form of cheese. The muchybox just chicken, also cold, isnt as described. The doner was nice, pakora was rubbery, chips soggy and cold, and the chicken strips are straight out of farm foods. Been a long time since I ordered from shalimar thinking it would be better. Oh boy was that a mistake. Stay clear folks.

1 hour 40 mins for two kebabs and some chips and our address is 9 minutes away. Donner kebab was cold! We were called after an hour and 10 mins with an apology for the delay and told it would be here in 10 mins. It came 28 minutes after this phone call. When I called the establishment, the guy was quite rude and simply shrugged me off and said we are busy. I work in hospitality and so I do not write negative reviews with a light heart but this was abysmal! I would like a refund.

Disgusting. Spent £18+ on a take away to be give £8.20 refund after being told I'd get a refund. Ordered for delivery, driver had left the shop 30 minutes before actually delivering and im 10 minutes away by car - meaning food was cold. The bag was dripping with grease and the food containers were covered in grease. When I called the manager blamed the delivery driver- when the grease couldn't have been his fault - whole meal went in the bin as it was also weird in colour and completely inedible - Don't order from here as I'm contacting food standards. Disgusting.

Ordered a chicken pizza the chicken was off took it back in the guy agreed it was off and asked if i wanted another 1 its put me off chicken for life got money back One look at the place i should have walked out its went downhill filthy equipment especially the grill avoid this place

The order was as very late. Received notification that driver was on way which was not true. When called to check on order after 20 mins late was advised the order had not left. It was also cold on arrival

Delivery was due 16:55 initially, at 17:35 I requested a delivery update and was told it would arrive at 17:45. Then received a voicemail at 17:55 stating driver had delivered it to the wrong address and it would be another 25 minutes. When it eventually turned up at 18:20 (one hour 25 minutes late) I was extremely disappointed as it was lukewarm and dry with no sign of either chilli or garlic sauce which I had requested. Not a great experience on this occasion.

Ordered Nan bread and chicken tikka masala. Nan bread was just a baked pizza dough folded in half. It itself was an insult honestly. Chicken tikka on the other hand was terrible. The sauce was based on just sour tomatoes and some nut pastes ( probably almonds) . The curry itself was too sweet and sour and the chicken chunks weren't fresh. The name ' Shalimar' itself is a scam to project themselves as an Indian/ Pakistani cuisine takeaway restaurant . Probably these guys are just amateurs in cooking and learning through YouTube. I put an instruction for driver to do when at my hotel and did not get my meal till 830pm when the app said it was going to be ready I went and waited outside for the driver, then to find the receptionist came out the hotel and said to me your food is on the bench ( this is not a 24hr manned reception) just lucky the receptionist came out, anyhow to then collect my food and was not the warmest by far and don't know how long the feed had been sitting there

I found a insect in my dinner. I contacted the shop and they told me to apply for a refund for my order

Chicken was raw/chewy In the kebab, I asked for large chicken kebab, received a kebab with donnar meat and little awful textured chicken. Hungry husband. For the price is was not the quality it used to be . Disappointed won't be back . Told after I phoned that I needed to state only chicken ( I asked for a large chicken kebab) not sure how clearer I could be. And I live too far to send a delivery ( I collected) and an extra something in next order was offered......... I won't be back

What can I say about the Shalimar? Been coming here for years, not only is it without doubt the best curry house in Fife in my opinion (Madras is second to none) but the guys who run it are top notch! On the (very) rare occasion they make a mistake, they go over and above to fix it quickly. Also, you have to love their driver - he’s an absolute sweetheart! My favourite take out (and I take out a lot). Well done guys, you do everything right!

Lovely food and excellent service. I tried shalimar special tandoori mix. It was amazing. Nice selection of wraps as well. If you like kebabs, special king kebab is worth trying. Highly recommended.

For all the years I've known this place to be open I have never ever had a bad meal food is always hot when delivered all the Currys on this menu are just exactly what you expect and all the flavors are just on the point

The food was absolutely amazing. Definitely a one of a kind experience coming from a different country and having my doubts about certain food in the local area, but this was by far the best experience ever!

Ordered a Large korma calzone, got through nearly half of it before finding any chicken. It tasted nice, hence the 2 stars, but not worth the money for dough and sauce. There’s a lot better available elsewhere.

Usually a good calzone from here but tonight it was too doughy and hardly any filling.

Ordered the pizza callazone as it had no peppers on it as I'm allergic to them when I got it I took 1 bit and my mouth went burning as it had huge chunks of green peppers through it my husband phoned them up and it took him to raise his voice to them to get anything done about it. They sent out a new one without peppers but took another hour to get it even though we were told it would be with you in 25 to 30 minutes. Serverly thinking about not ordering from here again

Ordered chips and doner calezone, the calezone was great ( I wish they did a slightly smaller one though as I never finish it 😂 i.e. make there current small one a medium and a a new small ) 4 star was for the chips, they were soggy and tastied like they had been sat over a vat or re cooked. All food was piping hot and will definitely order from again

Portion sizes for Naan Kebab filling (donner meat, chicken tikka and salad) seem to be getting less and less each week. Also Naan Kebab was dry (no chilli sauce in kebab) used to be best Naan Kebabs around but now considering going elsewhere.

Delivery was very quick and the driver was friendly and polite. Food was a little cold but it was still nice. Will order again from here.

Handily located within a row of other shops. Extensive menu. Ordered lamb curries, both had under cooked onions and the meat was tough, which didn’t look like lamb, but looked and tasted like mutton. Not happy with this order. Previous food has been lovely.

A bit disappointed in the Special Curry, there were no prawns at all as per stated in the menu, and quantity of other meat was low. Large mixed kebab was mostly donner meat with a few pieces of chicken and lamb.

Disappointed, unable to eat the lamb, donor meat not as good as I expected. Lots of nice salad though and chilli sauce. Won’t be ordering again though, very expensive for what you get.

Not up to your usual standards Calzone was very dry. Nan bread very dense. Bahar korma sauce was so thick and full of coconut that my spoon could stand up on its own. Not only that but we asked for no fruit and nuts and it was full of them. This might not be take aways fault as I re ordered through the App and not sure if old message although shown when ordered Was included.
