Shah Of Denton in Tameside

I was eager to try Shah as my son has had a curry from here when at his mother's and they have always been good. I placed the order via just eat at 17;23 and it was delivered at 19:20, just shy of 2 hours. I will give some leeway in that the roads were a nightmare with traffic from an earlier motorway accident, but even so, this was an excessive delay. The food was passable, but nothing to write home about, and my son's was nothing like the quality of previous meals from here.

Delivery driver kept saying the code was incorrect

poppadoms was like rubber. .... onion chutney was bland.... chicken was very dry

the tandoori chicken pieces wasnt so big , but I requested spicy curry which they did and it was nice

Ordered 2 curry’s, the chicken in both completely inedible dry as a bone, the jalfrezi had literally no spice what’s so ever. Chicken Pasanda didn’t taste anything like a pasanda tasted like a jar of sauce from the supermarket. First and last time ordering from here.

iv ordered donner keebas for years from here an I can't believe how small the donner kebabs have gone we use to be able to share and for the price of them this is not good 😐

Your driver couldn't find my house the restaurant was brilliant never ever had a problem with shah's drivers fault driver shouldn't be driving

I watched them make my naan bread right in front of me! Was amazing to watch!! Service was impeccable , as was the food! Can't recommend highly enough

Hate leaving bad reviews but I have too & I have filed a complaint. I ordered chicken shashlick; dreadful, cubed chicken, cooked flat chilli peppers, soggy onions & copious amounts of chopped garlic. Puddles of grease in the container which leaked out into the bag. It was so oily the marinade did not coat any of the food. This was NOT shashlick. The curry sauce was 2 colours & smelt like curdled milk. The lettuce was dry & brown, kebab; soggy naan, couldn’t pick it up, meat so dry it crumbled

pitta wet couldn't pick up as it fell apart and soggy so ended up with a with wrap from local shop rest of order was ok zx

Ordered Chicken Tikka Biryani twice, Sag Aloo, and a couple popadoms. At first I thought the Sag Aloo was missing, and flagged it as such - but I realised afterwards that I had mispllaced it in the kitchen. My bad, when Just Eat contacts me about it later, I'll let them know it's my mistake

Hi, we contacted the restaurant regarding the quality of our food when it arrived. It was terrible, there was far too much salt in all of the items. Too salty and infit for consumption. We ate the popadoms and chips and one Nan bread (this was split between 3 and left) upon contacting the restaurant I asked for the food to be collected and a refund to be issued as we were unable to eat this and wanted a full refund. I was told just eat would have to refund me they have no drivers and they don’t issues refunds. To me this is completely not acceptable as when I contact you you will contact them and they can simply say I did not call. I spoke with fizal ( or this is the name given) I asked for an email address to the company but this was not given and I was told To look on line a non existent website. I have images of the food that was left over. I paid 40 For this meal and expect a full refund to be issued please and going forward the Company of dealing through just eat or Uber eats need to have a ticketing system where a number is issued to them if complaints are received I offered to bring the food back and fizal was completely unhelpful and when manager was requested I was told he was not there. If you require photos please let me know.

Terrible customer service, asked for no veg in the curry, it then arrived in the curry, upon complaining they said they didn’t understand what we meant and they fried the veg separately not to contaminate the curry then added it to the curry! They didn’t know onions, peppers and tomatoes are veg apparently! Never again, also wrap was bland and so were the chips! Definitely a place to avoid.

Garlic Naan was very good. Boiled rice was, well, boiled rice. Tikka masala was a bit disappointing. It filled the hole though.

So I ordered chicken pakora, onion bhaji, tikka kebab and a poppadom, I used to like this place alot, unfortunately I got the food and tried it, it was all very sweet, especially the chicken pakora, like they had thrown a whole load of sugar in all of it, the onion bhaji tasted... Off? And poppadom was very soggy, normally a great place but today I couldn't eat any of it.

Maybe just a little less salt in the food. Apart from that it was ok.

The meat bhuna was too much sour. It’s because of over masala using. If there was mild masala used that would be better.too much turmeric and onion used and the meat i can hardly find it in the bhuna .

Poor, you pay £9.70 for a chicken kebab you'd expect more Than 8 small piece of chicken. I used to rave about shaa a few years ago. The food comes cold and not good anymore. I'll not be using them again.

Waste of time Very little for money

The place has gone down hill. The Donna meat is a dry as anything I've had before. Chicken tikka which was the best around at one time is just as bad. It's that bad, I've put it in my neighbours bin as it's not good enough for mine.

Stale popadoms…kebab poor…won’t order again…

One of the best takeaways I have ever had.

Never again. Ordered a kebab with 3 meats, the Nan bread was dripping wet with oil, the donner meat was rock hard and there was 3 tiny cut up pieces of lamb tikka. Chicken Rogan josh is nothing like a rj and is tasteless. They forgot the bahjis, rang up, lad said he knows but he wouldn't be sending them as I ordered through uber and he's not sending a driver. Absolute shocking food and shocking service. Will never order again, they don't deserve people's custom.

Used to be my go too and I was a regular customer. Ordered last night through deliveroo, items missing from order. Luckily I got refund through deliveroo. Food wasn't great kebab was the driest I've even seen. (Clearly not fresh) and to top it off me and my partner are now both ill🤢 Never again!

Never had an issue until yesterday, whoever picked up the phone to me when I had an issue with ordering was so disgustingly rude. No need for it. If you want to go on a diet, call in here cos they will put you off your food anyway due to their nasty attitudes.

Disgusting food chicken pieces are like something from b&ms. No salad. Very badly cooked and bad manners when I’ve rang and asked for them to be replaced. Chips were cold. And hard. AVOIDDDDD

Absolutely disgusting ordered 2 lamb kebabs got home the nana bread soggy no salad just lettuce hot sauce like watered down curry paste. My partner rung and spoken to person who personally made our kebabs to be told lattuce is the only salad they do!!! They didn't even offer a refund or to replace our food. Vile place vile food vile customer service avoid avoid avoid

Well after shah being recommended i can honestly say that all our food was tastless, the worst take out curry and onion chutney it went in the bin and the kebab was below average..very disappointing

Disgusting. Dry Donner meat, 3 pieces of chicken, brown wilted lettuce. Rang to complain, as we regularly order. To be spoken to appallingly. Never before have i left a negative review. However, the attitude of the person on the phone was unsatisfactory

Lovely authentic Indian cuisine, food quality is excellent, with the added convenience of quick service, especially if you order online. Although you will have to pick up as they don't deliver. ( because they're too busy creating outstanding food). Always friendly and polite staff. Highly recommended.

Went here the other week ordered chicken tikka masala, pilau rice, onion bhajis and garlic naan was off work for 3 days after it felt like had been drinking battery acid the onion bank's looked and tasted like they had been on the side for weeks would never recommend and will never be going again by far one of the worst curry houses in denton!!!!

I said i would come back and try different things on the menu and glad i did , Chicken Madras was out of this world ,so fresh , chicken was top grade, My dad pinched half a plate, in his own words ,thats got to be best curry ive had. and i will 2nd that. staff are brilliant , Nice to be treated with lovely manners, goes along way with me that 👍

Visited for the first time today as I really fancied a kebab and haven't had one in years. Oh my word...it was divine and possibly the best kebab I have EVER had! Thank you :)
