Food was okay, portion sizes were a bit small with what we ordered (hainan chicken and Nasi lemak). We tried other Singapore / Malaysian restaurants before and this one felt a little overpriced for what it served though the food was okay. The waiters were really friendly but one of them kept opening bottles of sparkling water even though we didn’t ask for it - and we were charged £20 for three bottles in the end (we felt bad so didn’t ask them to take it off). Overall the food was ok and the staff were really friendly but i don’t think I would go there again.

I recently visited Sentosa and decided to try the Sentosa Curry Laksa, but unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. The soup was overly rich and felt excessively greasy, likely due to an overuse of coconut oil. Instead of the comforting, balanced flavors I was hoping for, the dish felt heavy and cloying. The laksa also featured a mixture of noodles, which I found to be off-putting. I prefer a more uniform texture, and the blend of different noodles disrupted the overall experience for me. Additionally, the dish included an egg cooked in the Singaporean style, but sadly, it had an unpleasant taste, almost as if it had been fried in old oil, leaving a stale, greasy aftertaste. Overall, I was left underwhelmed by the dish. The flavors were poorly balanced, and the execution seemed lacking, particularly with the oiliness of the soup and the off-tasting egg. I wouldn’t recommend this version of laksa and would encourage others to explore other places for a more authentic and enjoyable laksa experience.

Firstly, I didn't like where we were seated. The place we were seated was awkward, cramp and physically uncomfortable. The service was mixed. We were seated by a female, not so friendly. She also took our order. The female and male who served our food were both friendly. We were served by different people because their was a huge gap between the serving of our food. The male that cleared our plates wad also friendly. It took ages to get the bill once asked for. The wait seemed endless. The food was ok. I had what ultimately was a squid curry with rice. In addition, a large fried chicken thigh and fried egg. The plate was garnished with 3 slices of cucumber. I liked all the food on my plate but wouldn't necessarily eat them all together ever again. My food was served lukewarm. I'm a slow eater, so it wasn't long before my food was cold. I wouldn't go again but recommend that others try it for themselves. The positive was that I had a Mojito with my meal and it was really good. Sometimes, Mojitos can be hit or miss. Whoever made mine wasn't stingy with the alcohol.

Wow. I have my new favourite. For anyone who has experienced a food court in Singapore/ Kuala Lumpur, this is about as authentic as it gets. A vibrant cafe buzz with unbelievable food. Excellent and friendly service from seating right through to paying the bill — no fuss and very efficient. Food was great and as authentic as Singaporean and Malaysian cuisine can get. Quelle surprise ! J'y suis allé par hasard, sans avoir lu aucun avis, et la, vraiment, un excellent diner. Nous avons Commandé : 1/ Sentosa curry laksa with prawns, chicken, tofu, fish ball & Egg. 2/ Steamed seabass with garlic & minced ginger 3/ Steamed okra with crispy onion & soy sauce 4/ Eggs fired rice 5/ crispy fresh beans & tofu.

Neighbor reviewing here (down South 🇸🇬) Quite good Malaysian food, overall recommended. Nasi lemak is really well done, 4.5/5 Char Kway Teow has good char /wok hei, 4/5 Rendang quite good, 4/5 Laksa is decent but doesn't blow you away, not coconuty enough. Hainanese chicken rice is lacking the top notch bouncy rubberyness of the skin.

We literally wandered into Sentosa on a Sunday having passed it by several times before. Surprise! Before I get to the food I must mention the ambience & decor - not a red lantern or gold-anything in sight! It is a lovely space with warm wood, a little industrial-chic, minimal, clean and Zen. We decided to return even before we had ordered!!! The waiting staff was efficient and polite as she took our order: we started with the fried baby squid (delicious on a bed of what tasted like salted fried onions) and a quartet of steamed veggie dimsum which appeared in jewel colours and piping hot. I highly recommend the fried squid. The dimsum needed a bit more oomph as finely chopped veggies didn’t give it full flavour. I’d have liked it garlic-chilly spiced. One main was the classic nasi goreng with prawns chicken and egg - tasty, beautifully plated and my guest said it was very tasty though I thought the rice serving could’ve benefited from a little generosity. My main was a big bowl of flat rice noodles in soup with fish balls and veggies. Delicious, comforting, steaming hot and perfectly light for a summer meal. I’d have preferred a wee bit more flavour in the stock/soup but the fish balls, greens and mushrooms made it the tastiest bowl I’ve eaten in recent times. Return to Sentosa with its Singaporean (in itself a happy blend of Indonesian, Chinese, Indian….) delights? A resounding yes!

This Singaporean bossman and his wonderful staff met my needs and made me feel special. He sat us down swiftly but suavely no questions asked at 21:15 on a Sunday evening. He even let me park my bike out the back, protected by the humdrum of the kitchen and away from the dark night. The Chicken Ho Fun banged, but wasn’t overwhelming. The Singapore Noodles were delicate but hearty. The spring roles went in. All in all we could not have asked for more, and as such I was left with no choice but to write this warm and positive review. I would not hesitate to recommend this spot. Please give it a try.

Unfortunately it didn't hit the mark as the flavours lacked depth. It may have been an off day in the kitchen as my friends had recommended it, so I would still give it another go to try other dishes. I also had just got back from Singapore so maybe I was slightly biased. Between the two of us, we shared the calamari (too much batter and overcooked), laksa (the broth had good flavour and there was a generous amount of seafood but it lacked complexity as a laksa should) and the char kway teow (again it was quite bland). The service was fast and polite.

Narrowly missed having an allergic reaction at this place. I am a vegetarian and have always been one. My partner is not. I am also allergic to seafood. I ordered the vegetarian Nasi Goreng, while my partner ordered a regular Nasi Goreng without prawns but with chicken. I'd ordered a coke while the partner ordered a whiskey. One of the dishes came out first. The server said it was the veggie Nasi Goreng and placed it on my side of the table. I started to eat while we waited for my partners meal to arrive. When it did, the server paused, looked at both dishes and said that the one in his hand might be the vegetarian one. He double checked and confirmed that the plate in front of me had chicken in it. And casually swapped the plates - no biggie right? We asked for the manager and my partner explained the situation to him. He admitted fault, apologised and asked what he could do. We refused anything as we just wanted to emphasise on how poorly this could have gone. If my partner had decided to get the prawns that day, the night could have ended very differently. And all this is besides the fact that they served meat to someone who explicitly ordered a vegetarian meal. The manager's apology involved offering us more crispy rolls (which we refused) and then offering my partner a free drink (which also we refused). He puts one on the table anyway. While the punishment does not fit the crime to begin with, the irony is that all apologies and the "peace offering" drink were directed to my partner, not me. We didn't want it, so we left it untouched. When we paid the bill, the manager said he'd removed the service charge from our bill- whatever. And then asks my partner why he hasn't had the whiskey, and tells him "to not waste it"!!! The food was subpar as is - bland, oily, greasy and lukewarm and garnished with a random dry salad. Save yourself the £15 (main course price), unless you want to put yourself through an overpriced, unappetising and potentially dangerous meal. Oh and some entitled, flippant service. Might not have been me today, but surely a lawsuit waiting to happen. And a whiskey won't make it go away.

Don’t waste your money here. Paid £80 to get terrible food poisoning as mentioned by few people here, it’s not worth it! Mostly fake reviews! It’s a Chinese takeaway masking as authentic Singaporean/Malaysian place. Very familiar with Singaporean/Malaysian cuisine so was looking forward to trying this place. Chicken satay was undercooked, soya jelly tasted awful (very cheap soya drink from supermarket audacious to charge £5), Singaporean noodle was a plate of distraction with some cucumbers and dry salad to compensate utter lack of taste, chicken curry was sour and the only thing that was edible was roti prata and but even that was terribly oily. First time in London, instead of trying all the pubs around, we're busy visiting all the sceneries and find ourselves in restaurants near our hotel after a long day walking, especially we're not really into beer drinking. The last day in London, we decided to try this Singaporean/Malaysian Sentosa restaurant because we're too lazy to take Uber to the city. Luckily the place wasn't crowded, no reservation needed, and we just walked right in. The place is actually very nice, our table was a little small but quite cozy. We'll be on the plane the next morning so we needed to order something that we could bring on the plane for lunch since we'd have breakfast at our hotel already. We love Singapore Noodles from the State so we ordered that. We didn't know the portions were quite generous, we ordered 3 dishes and we have leftover to bring to the plane. The chicken wings were so crispy and tasty, I loved them, my wife ordered some Malaysian noodles that quite excellent as my Singapore noodles. The service here is quite attentive and quick, the place is well decorated, the food is nothing to complain about. If we come to London next time, we'll try other dishes because all the ones we had were delicious and the prices are extremely reasonable. My daughter loved the leftover noodles on the plane, cold.

Food was good. Experience was less so. Even before being seated, we were told that we had to vacate the table within 1h20. We felt rushed and didn’t appreciate the experience. Too bad!

I went there because I really missed Asian food, but the staff were all friendly, delicious, clean, and had a great atmosphere😊 It seemed like a restaurant that a lot of locals frequent haha. Considering it's London, the prices aren't expensive, and the portions are generous!

This new spot in Bermondsey is buzzing with atmosphere and authentic Singaporean grub. Very flavourful and delicious food, set in a space with a relaxed vibe, it is a great addition to the area, and very encouraging to see it packed with happy patrons enjoying themselves. The chicken skewers, beef rendang curry, roti and potato soup were stand out dishes for us, spicy but very good! Also, the value point was very good, considering we are in London. Keep up the great work Sentosa, see you again soon.

I don’t often write reviews unless I’m complaining (haha), but I had to make an exception here. The food was absolutely brilliant. The flavours, the portions sizes, the freshness, amongst other things, were all incredible. One of the only restaurants I’ve bothered to review recently because I was so impressed. The rendang was delicious and the roti was best I’ve ever had. Thank you!

Really enjoyed our meal here. The starters I felt were more interesting and tasty than the mains. The veggie mains were nice but nothing special that I don’t already throw together at home ie: seasoned rice & stir fry veg. The chicken satay skewers were good; as was the calamari. The potato and tomato soup with roti pancakes was to die for. It was really different and I could have eaten a vat full. Waitress missed off one of our mains but quickly rectified it which was great and all that matters. The ambience at lunchtime was good. It was full but not squashed. Lovely and clean. Would definitely go again and try some more dishes.
