Opening times says between. 10am till 4pm. Arrived at 3.30pm for a quick bite to eat and turns out they are closed. 30 mins earlier than whan what they say. First and last time ill ever call there again

Discovered this cafe on the recommendation of a friend. Wonderful food, service, and ambience. Lovely place to lunch and catch-up with pals.

Lovely wee cafe and much needed for this area. Never had a bad experience but a slight negative is that they run out of items quite a bad. E.G. No bacon when ordering a fry etc. Getting a seat can be a little tricky if going in at lunch but that's not their fault - the place would be packed even more if they could somehow extend the size of the place. The cakes and buns are always beautiful and the staff are always so friendly. Overall, lovely place to visit and definitely recommend.

When i explained to the manager how to store dairy free milk. She explained she is forced by the owner to store dairy free milk incorrectly and put incorrect use by dates on it. Think the manager needs a new job in a better cafe were customers are treated as a priority.

A hidden gem...I have recently found this café. Good scones are hard to find, their scones have to be the best I have ever tried. The selection of tray bakes are very tempting. I have tried a few! Delicious! If you have more of a savoury tooth, do not worry. They have a great choice of savouries. From various breakfast options, to toasties, salads,sandwiches etc Staff are pleasant and helpful. It has become my regular, local "go to" café.

I enjoy my visits here the staff are lovely the food is great and it's so peaceful without being silent people are still engaging with each other but it's so ....

Food was lovely. Coffee was great. Service a bit slow to b honest. Ordered sandwiches and got paninis but didn't want to say so ate them anyway. Apple pie was the nicest I have tasted and it was well presented . Definitely recommend.

Traybakes are lovely. It hit or miss depending on who makes your cafe latte. I moved to Ballysillan a few years ago and people I know in the area don't seem interested in going to cafés, so please support this rare gem.

I paid a visit to the Seed and Bean for the first time - and it definitely won't be the last. There's ample car parking around the premises but as it's a shared space with a GP's surgery, spaces may at times be limited. On the interior, it's a nice, fresh little place with a counter fashioned with bolted-on corrugated iron. The tables and furniture allow you to relax in various stages of comfort with some comfy armchairs, scatter cushions and a chaise lounge chair. If you prefer, there's outside seating with tables and chairs and if you go as a family, there are picnic tables. The staff are friendly and do their utmost to serve you as promptly as possible. Menu items include breakfast, lunch and a kid's menu in addition to a choice of ice cream. I ordered soup of the day which was priced at £4.50 together with a latte. Coffees are priced at no more than £4. I might've thought that £4.50 was expensive for a bowl of soup. I was wrong because I was served with piping hot vegetable soup which was obviously home-made as it had chunky vegetables including carrots, leeks, celery and pearl barley. It really was a meal in itself and well worth the money. Ordering soup, you may have a choice of wheaten bread with butter or a sandwich. I chose the former. The wheaten bread was nothing other than home-made because it had a delicious melt-in-the mouth quality about it. Indeed, I was seriously tempted to ask for more. The most expensive menu item is a gourmet burger served with a side-salad, priced at under £8. Like the quality of the soup, I'm sure it's well worth it. The tables are clean but the floor could benefit with being swept of some crumbs. Overall the standard of cleanliness is extremely good.

This little place was my go to for a coffee anytime. A fantastic little Christian shop. Unfortunately however the fantastic staff where disgraced by a fue disrespectful staff. After seeing a dog in the shop I thought it was dog friendly. The next time passing with my dog I brought him in for a coffee with my wife and son. Months of this later I was told I can no longer bring him in and that was fine. We would get our coffee and leave the dog outside while I payed for it. Today I was told dog can't sit outside on there tables. I won't be back.

This is a lovely café. I just had a coffee and a tray bake but I enjoyed it and the surroundings. They stay open later than a lot of other cafés. (10pm)

In addition to the reasonably priced lunch, it's not far from where my great aunt Anne used to live. There's something about the location high up above the city that made me feel as if I was in a cabin in the Swiss Alps, even though I was still in the suburbs.

Very convenient on main Ballysillan rd. Nice environment, don't rush you out which means a nice place to meet with friends. Menu varied which should meet most peoples requirements. Young friendly, capable staff. Yes God willing I'll be back.

Met up with some friends in Seed and Bean recently. This is a small cafe on the Ballysillan Road, beside the doctor's surgery. The menu isn't extensive but the staff are friendly and prices are on par with other cafes in the local area. They have a good selection of hot drinks and tray bakes and their latte is delicious. It's a lovely cozy place to meet up with friends for a chat or for a quick lunch.

cosy wee nook away from the hustle bustle of the city center. Ive yet to try their food since i only ordered a french toast and a hot choco. the interior is so well designed, cant helped to love it.
