Sea Fry in Belfast

Great chippie - can't recognise it from the negative reviews. Always look forward to a fish supper - I just get one because it's more than enough for my wife & I. Going tonight to get a last firsh supper before the July break. Would recommend it to anyone.

Call in for a cod and curry chip , the cod was gold fish size and the curry chip had very little curry sauce on it . I telephoned to complain about the amount of curry sauce and was told that it is a measured amount of sauce that they use . They should have the description of their curry chip as , a miserable curry chip . You would think that they would be trying to keep the customer's that are going to their shop instead of being so miserable . I won't be back stay clear .

Ordered a chip and when I unwrapped it I actually half thought it was a joke and the other half of me was in shock. Couldn't believe the size of the portion. It was literally a handful of chips. There was that few I could have actually counted them on one hand. Never in my life have I saw a portion so small. Food was nice but wouldn't pay those prices for a portion that small. First time there but won't be back again. Shocking!

This is the only chippie I use. Because I know what I'm getting every time. Nice chips and fish with just right amount of batter. it always tastes like they use nice fish and they are cooked in new oil. The service is very efficient and staff friendly . Owner is involved and does great charity work through donations.

We've been regular customers since the Sea Fry opened and are astonished by the nasty reviews raising issues we have never encountered. The food is always high standard and the staff are cheerful and efficient. The quality of food and service is evident in the number of customers, its rarely empty and there are regular queues, when the staff work hard so you don't have to wait long for your order. At present there is really well-organised social distancing etc

This has to be one of the best fish and chip shops I have tried. The food is outstanding and the fish is fresh. The staff are very pleasant. Would come back and highly recommend. 👍

We have been Sea Fry customers (making regular visits) for many, many years and regard it as one of the best if not THE best fish and chip shops we know. In terms of quality it consistently scores very highly and the staff are always very pleasant. The Sea Fry was our 'local' chippy until we moved 20 plus miles away (16 years ago) and we continue to make regular visits, often with no other reason to be in the area. If you haven't tried it, the Sea Fry's Fish is just superb!

Here is a small curry chip, they charge extra, don't put sauce on, just charge you for extra. A few chips, £3. Absolute disgrace. Do not go here.

I have eaten out of the 'Sea Fry' for several years and it never dissapoints. Best fish and chips ever!! Staff are lovely and service is always with a smile and a friendly word

Always good quality take away food. Normally quick service. Was reasonably priced but portions have really got small but price the same. now served on a small polystyrene tray rather than the larger cardboard box.

Seafry is my local chippy and I go there few times a month. Customer service is always good, staff are friendly and chearful! The food itself is 95% spot on! fish is always supper fresh (maybe once I got not so fresh, but it was like saturday morning). The food is not too greasy, compare to other places, and super tasty! Excellent choice for a family "friday fish n chip evening", or for hungover cure :) I think it's a family run chippy and been there for many many years. A friend of mine has been going there for some 20-30 years. I think it just shows you!

The burgers here are truely something else, and they take contactless , was good when I forget my card and used My phone.

Recently had the lunch special. Great portion, fresh and tasty and excellent value at £3.50 including a can.

Visited this local chip shop for a carry out because we were late and too tired to cook. As usual, very good quality and plenty of chips with the fish and chicken breast suppers. Very clean and friendly service.

Just stopped on my to a friends house to get some fish and chips. Staff was really nice and was delicious. Thumbs up for sea fry 👍🏽

Absolutely awful food and terrible service, 3.50 for a chip is disgraceful compared to other places nearby like the manta ray which is amazing

Our local chippy. Always good quality - clean surroundings and tasty food. Large portions. Quite a queue which moves quickly. A good indicator of how popular it is

He usado el mar Fry probablemente diez veces este año, y aunque es muy sabroso las porciones son patéticos. Por el mismo precio el chip golden en Dundonald es deliciosa, pero el pescado tiras de pollo y es casi 2 veces el tamaño.

I good family chip shop with a good variety of food on the take away menu It also opens at lunchtime but you can't sit in

Great portions, staff are lovely and the pasties are the best you'll get in Belfast!! Really recommend this place and have been going for a long time

If you are looking for a great chip shop go to The Sea Fry Knockbreda Road. Staff are friendly and food is the best,you can now ring ahead to make your order, and it's ready by the time you arrive. The owners have at times donated their sales on the night to their charity abroad which is commendable. Give them a visit well worth it

£3.50 for a chip, absolute daylight robbery and they where absolutely disgusting and went straight in the bin, will never set foot in the place again

We grew up around the corner from the Sea Fry....I worked in it at the age of 13 for Billy so did my grandmother and other family members.....ALWAYS visit when we visit back home love it

I've eaten here on a number of occasions and for a fish supper it is up there as one of the best in the city.. Highly recommended!

We used to use this place in the past and it was magnificent for really good fish with crispy batter, however we were really disappointed, the fish and batter were mushy and the chips were not much better. The pasties were great though

Some of the best cod in Belfast. Decent chips too. Portions could be slightly bigger but all in all good little chippie.

People keep recommending The Sea Fry chippy to me, so I tried it today. They do gorgeous, chunky, traditional style chips which are really tasty and not too greasy. I also had a vegetarian pastie which was amazing and very flavourful. Just the right amount of salt and vinegar on the food too and the potions are very generous. I found the prices similar to other chip shops around the area, with a pastie and large gravy chip costing around £5.As with a lot of chip shops there's not a huge vegetarian selection, however the pastie was so good I've already decided to try a pastie and salad bap on my return. Of course, there's always onion rings and I think the chips would be delicious with any sauce or topping. A perfect lazy day dinner or hangover cure. I'm already looking forward to my next trip to The Sea Fry.

Have never been in a place that is so miserable with their portions and so expensive for what you get. My pastie was undercooked and looked anaemic and I couldnt taste the food for the amount of salt that was on it

I used to live locally to this chippy and it has built up a great reputation for good food at good prices and with good friendly service. Happy to say they haven't changed their winning formula and the last time we called in for a fish supper on our way home from a day out in Newcastle it was every bit as delicious as we remembered. It's become something of a tradition for my husband & I to call in here for a fish supper after a rugby game at the nearby Ravenhill (sorry...Kingspan!!) and we have never been disappointed.Keep up the good work!

The food in the Sea Fry is always cooked fresh. Yes you may have to wait slightly longer for your food but it is top quality every time. The staff are all brilliant and service comes with a smile.

Best chippy in the area. Friendly staff and delicious food especially the chicken burgers. Great value for money too

One of the first things I do when at home is have a fish super, the sea fry has been around for as long as I can remember and still as good. Please don't change anything ,

Had a fish supper with Asian curry sauce on the side before an Ulster Rugby match. If you're hungry and you let it cool not to burn the mouth, it doesn't get much better. Take out only.

I visited the Sea Fry for chicken and chips for myself. Quick service, clean surroundings and good value. Very tasty meal- chips excellent and not too greasy. Would recommend

Ordered beans and chips, the beans didn't taste that nice (if it ain't Heinz is ain't right) and the chips were way too soggy for my taste.
