We just wanted a few meze dishes for lunch and I think that was the problem as service wasn’t attentive for a relatively empty lunchtime. Didn’t bring a glass of tap water when asked, didn’t wipe down the table when they spilled some food and quite sullen service. Meze probably came out of boxes and wasn’t great (we know the Tara isn’t made on site as she told us about the allergens on the “side of the box”) Had much better, tastier Turkish meals but I guess you are in Maldon not green lanes

We had a lovely meal food was lovely they went above and beyond. Turgo the manager was friendly and efficient. Very attentive fantastic service would definitely recommend

Visited on Sunday evening. Very quiet. Good, attentive staff. Really big choice on the menu to suit most people. Very good wine.

Lovely meal ,fresh and flavoursome . I had Saksuka to start, very tender aubergine and toms peppers salad . lovely flavours not for me though. I'm more a prawn lover. Main was chicken shish(5 nuggets) rice and salad. Ok though for a lunchtime deal , Salad was lovely. Drinks were expensive.

We have been using Sark since they were a small place down end of maldon have dined in a few times But generally have a take away. This time For my some 21 we ordered the mixed grill and while the food was excellent the portion size is nearly a quarter less Than normal and only one rice Pudding instead of the normal two. So A bit dissappinted

Stained menu, dirty cutlery hairs in the humus ….. bits of the salad were clearly well out of date…. Shame….. it was busy and clearly liked by the locals. Maybe we were unlikely but I don’t think so

Amazing food and service Turgo the manager was amazing lovely to have him serve us he created a great atmosphere and felt extremely welcoming would highly recommend to people traveling to maldon

On arriving on a Wednesday, I was surprised to see how full the restaurant was. Good sign. Waited a while for drinks, but ok, we hadn't booked. Nice touch with free bread/dips. Starters were good. My partners food was wrong, so he had to wait for his actual order ( swordfish), which was dry and pretty tasteless. My veggie moussaka was good. Two free lime and sodas were accepted. The bill was odd as the service charge was at the top ( beware) , so I gave another, in total £15 which was OTT. Thankfully, the governor decided he'd halve the food bill if England were playing. So £55 I/O £85. I would have felt ripped off at £85. Shame, as we had heard good things.

Had dinner at Sark last Saturday evening, had a wonderful evening. The service was excellent, very helpful and friendly staff. Food was amazing, cooked lovely and more then enough, we took some home for the next day. The menu is very extensive within plenty of choice, we’ve been to many Turkish restaurants around Essex in the last year and this rates one of the best, definitely recommend a visit.

We went to the original Sark restaurant ages ago and looked forward to visiting the new one. We had two bookings cancelled due to restrictions. We went with friends last night and had a wonderful time. It felt like we were on holiday ... great atmosphere, fantastic food and amazing service. Well done everyone at Sark, we’ll definitely be back.

Just wanted to say thank you to the staff at Sark for looking after us this afternoon I couldn't recommend the food and service enough our waitress was friendly and attentive and the food was fantastic my daughters have never eaten Turkish food before but are now definitely converted!!

Absolutely lovely great food and cocktails. My only problem was food came too quick hadn’t got our drink felt a bit rushed but after our meal we went upstairs to the cocktail bar which was amazing. Staff superb couldn’t ask for better service attentive to us all the time. Overall a wonderful experience.

This restaurant is amazing. The decor and attention to detail is superb as was the service. The food is amazing - extremely tasty and fresh. The T bone steak is massive!! Great menu with a lot to choose from! Was a Wednesday night but packed. Says it all really! Can’t wait to reattend!

Our first meal out for a long time last night and everything was amazing. Staff were so delighted to be back, the food was as good as always and plenty of it. ( yes we had a doggy bag!). Lots of room and COVID stuff followed properly. I love this place. Kept us going with takeaways too during lockdown. Thoroughly recommend.

Walked past here today 9.12.20 with my wife and noticed the restaurant was quiet so decided to give it a go as I missed out on treating her to a meal for her birthday in November. Also missing out on out holiday to Marmaris this year we needed a pick me up.We ordered the lamb cutlets which were cooked to perfection along with rice and salad. The usual complimentary bread and dips were very nice too.All washed down with a couple of pints of Efes. Service was very friendly and professional, really looking forward to returning again soon.

This is the fourth time we have used the delivery service and each time found it excellent. The drivers are punctual to the point of being scary. While the mezat £45 come seemed a little pricey it is easily enough for 4 adults and they often throw in a rice pudding afters as well. Keep up the good work

Ordered a takeaway to pick up. When we got there they had cancelled our order without informing us. Said they was too busy

We have had the pleasure of dining at SARKS taken away from us due to the COVID 19 virus. But they can not stop the pleasure of eating the food from there.Sark are doing a takeaway service and I can not praise it enough. We had the mixed Lamb/Chicken shish last night, Saturday.Very easy to order and delivered spot on time and the food, SUPERB.If you fancy a good kebab this is the place to order from.

You'd think from the overall review score that this restaurant would be up for awards.Turns out it is all hype.Firstly the positives. The place is visually fantastic. It is an enjoyable place to be. The staff are plenty and whilst it is noticeable they only smile at a table, they do at least do what you'd expect any good waiting staff to do. Orders were fulfilled correctly and getting extra drinks was easy.But that's about it.The food on the other hand is sub-par. Especially so when you factor in the price.Of the 6 meals 3 were bad. A mixture of bad taste, poor presentation and in one unacceptable circumstance one contained ground bones that had clearly gone through the mincer along with the meat. Not gristle - pure solid bone.Sufficed to say none of us were impressed or would consider returning. No matter how much free bread you get pre-meal.

It was our wedding anniversary on 11 October! We travel a lot to Turkey and love the food. We were very impressed with the restaurant, and it is very spacious - we felt safe and comfortable. The food was excellent and very plentiful, and the service was fast and friendly. Would totally recommend.

We went as a group of 6 for a birthday and had a comfy booth style table with plenty of space Lovely bread was brought and snd we ordered shared Meze platter to start which was lovely . For mains we had 3 sharing platters for 6 which was a mistake far to much food we should of just had 2 platters . We did have boxes made up to take away the food left overIt’s delicious all cooked freshly over charcoal grills and served with lovely salad and rice I had bought cakes for the birthday which they happily served for usLovely staff the decor is beautiful highly recommend

I feel so disappointed, my husband booked a table for our anniversary. We were advised to come at 6.30 as it’s a quieter time as I have an anxiety disorder. Our table was booked for 6.30 pm on Saturday 10th October.We arrived on time and was told there was no booking in our name , we were then sat in the corner of the restaurant and told sometimes table bookings are missed. No apology and I felt really uncomfortable.Ordered our drinks and then asked if we were ready to order, we weren’t at that time. As that waiter left 2 more came over one after the other asking if we were ready............ !Ordered our food and whilst eating our starter we were asked if we were ready for our main course......... ‍♀️I then went to the ladies and got stuck in the cubicle for a couple of minutes as the door got stuck!! I started to panic. Managed to get out.Our main course arrived, my dinner was vegetable kebabs, I was so disappointed, uncooked and so dry, trying to get attention as I would have liked to have had a sauce. I was asked what sauce would I like, I asked what do you have, reply..... what do you want......... my husbands side order was forgotten about however after asking twice then finally arrived.Very poor customer service, the staff were unfriendly and unfamiliar with their own menu and it seemed more of a trouble for them to help when we asked questions. Unfortunately I started to have a panic attack and we asked for the bill and we left.I absolutely understand in these hard times time is precious and turnover of customers is important to get economy going however quality in the short time we were there kindness should always come first .

Absolutely amazing food, all fresh and delicious. Would definitely recommend. Service was excellent. COVID-19 taken seriously. We both really enjoyed our starters and mains. We were driving through the area. A great find.

Had dinner with my wife. Menu is perfect, something for everyone so many different options are available for everyone from kebabs to steaks.Service was awesome everyone was wearing face masks and they were all so friendly and very polite.The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. We especially enjoyed the cocktails all were made is perfection can’t fault anything.I recommend the combination kebab as it comes with mix kebabs which are Adana , chicken and lamb wonderful. My wife had a sea bass which was so nice a moist and cooked well.The atmosphere is wonderful and has been decorated amazingly.LOVE IT!!!I can’t wait to come back and enjoy and try different food probably will be visiting next week again with my mates.Thank you sark for a wonderful night. Came for late lunch with my sister. We loved our starters and mains which were amazing with lots of flavour, very impressive.We came her couple weeks ago and tried the spicy pots which I recommend you try them and this time we wanted to try something different so we tried the chicken shish with yogurt and the Tiger prawns is was amazing and worth the money.For tiger prawns you have the choice of either chips or potatoes which is amazing that you could choose a side rather only being able to get a side you might not like. The atmosphere of the restaurant is beautiful the painted wall looks so amazing and it’s such a different style which makes you want to go there every day.Excellent eating experience.. from walking in the door and being greeted by employee, seated and drink order taken, was maybe 5 minutes. All staff were all really friendly and welcoming and the boss was also greeting everyone which is amazing to see.Meal was served hot and excellent taste nothing bad everything was presented well and a very friendly environment.See you again Sark had a lovely meal.

It was me and my wifes anniversary and we decided to book.. from top to bottom it looks amazing my steak and chicken sarma beyti was cooked to perfection. And them strawberry moijto was just so diffrent to where ever had .. service also great booked again next week .. suggestion book because its always busy...

Great food the starters were great and the main mix grill cooked to perfection. All stuff wearing masks great if you have little kids aswell .. I will definitely try different cocktails aswell. Can't wait to go back with the family ..

In it's previous incarnation, Sark was a small , friendly place, although over priced.I think now this is best for large family or hen night groups and the like.The staff were stressed and largely unfriendly, no waiting staff allocated to the table so we saw at least 6 , one of which tried to remove a plate my wife was still eating from , without a word of asking. I've eaten in many better military mess halls, as this is a dining hall , not a nice cosy restaurant.I had to send back an uncooked dish , and the replacement was almost as bad . We came away, disappointed and I can honestly say, perhaps the worst meal out I've had in years , which is the greatest of shame as Turkish people have a great reputation for their big welcome and willingness to make guest happy. I appreciate the difficult times, but the leadership must look after and support their staff, happy staff will make customers happy, a no brainer. Proprieter don't squabble with your team in front of customers , you read how it made us feel.You can do so much better

I love Sark me and my friends have been going to Sark since they had the old place and we are so happy they have moved to a bigger place.The inside of the restaurant is very appealing and has an amazing decor..lovely flower wall to take cute Instagram pictures and amazing toilets to also take mirror selfies and hygiene is there number one priority all the toilets are clean and you have access to hand sanitisers everywhere.When it come to food don’t know where to start the starter me and one of my friend had was the hot Meze for two and was delicious we tried different things in one go and then I had the chicken sarma Beyti and she had the spicy prawn pot it was all done fresh and tasted amazing.The staff were all so friendly and Caring and were working hard to make us feel special.It was easier to find staff as they were all walking around and asking if we wanted more drinks or everything was okay.I just want to say if your ever in maldon make sure you go and check out Sark but call and reserve as it does get pretty busy so you would not get disappointed. Keep it up SARK.Thank you

Great food, loads of choices in a very nice atmosphere. With so many choices of grills, not an unhealthy choice, so can justify a cocktail

This restaurant def has the wow factor. The decor is amazing with the high ceiling and spacious surroundings. The food is very delicious and the portions extremely generous. Also, the staff are very attentive and after our meal the manager took us upstairs to serve us delicious cocktails. A brilliant evening.

Used the eat out to help out scheme (one of the benefits of wfh means around more to use the local restaurants). A very pleasant restaurant, good decor and close to the car parks in the town. Plenty of staff on hand, providing a good level of service. The food is of a good standard. Will certainly be coming again!

We visited during the Eat Out campaign. The restaurant was absolutely heaving. All of the staff were wearing face masks and all were very friendly. There is a large and varied menu with plenty of choices. The service was quick and efficient. The portion sizes of the food were generous. I enjoyed my meal - spicy sausage to start and then lamb meat balls spice pot - without any complaint whilst my wife found the halloumi starter a little on the salty side and the falafel main perhaps a little dry. Having said that we had a very nice evening and will return again in the future.

In the last few weeks I passed this restaurant and wondered what it was like.Today I had a day off and so decided to visit Sark.The impressions of the restaurant from the outside are impressive.They are even better inside.The interior is immaculate.We visited in the afternoon so had no problem getting seated.I could imagine at the weekend it would be very busy.I would think possibly it may need looking.The service was prompt and the table service was very inattentive.A full menu was aavailable and it was very had to choose from.Full bar facilities were available.The quality of the food was brilliant.Ample portions.I really can't fault Sark.Value was good as well.I will definitely be visiting again.

We were looking for somewhere to eat this evening that had gluten free options as my husband is a coeliac. We were not disappointed and the waitress was totally clued about everything. The choices were very wide and the menu was superb. We really enjoyed our meals and only wish that we lived nearer so that we could eat here more frequently

We discovered Sark's takeaway service during lockdown, when they were delivering. So glad we did, and now it's collection only, more than happy to pop over and pick up. The mixed platter for 2 people is enormous, and more than enough food for us (and we're big eaters!). The meat is delicious, and you get rice, salad and bread with it as well. We also like the halloumi with spicy sausage. Definitely recommend - next time we might book a table.

We went for lunch just before lookdown and we are so glad we did. The food was delicious and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We have since used the takeaway delivery service and you could not ask for more. The food again was delicious and the delivery was about 30 mins. Will definitely be using Sark again.

great service, very easy to book a slot and staff were prepared with masks and you scan a code for the menu on your phone. tables spread apart and numbers monitored. food was very tasty, will definitely visit again. decor is lovely inside.

First visit to Sark since they re located. The restaurant is wonderful. Staff friendly and social distancing measures made us feel safe without being over the top. Food, simply stunning. If you are in the Maldon area you simply have to try this place out. Love it.

I cannot praise this restaurant too much. Two excellent deliveries in the last week. Thoroughly enjoyed them both with plenty of food. Used their new app to order and both deliveries was within a few minutes of the requested time. Good and courteous delivery drivers especially one young lad I think his name was Sam. Thank you once again

This is the first time we ordered Sark delivery as we are in lockdown. It beats kebab hands down and we didn’t know what to go for so just chose anything. We got a Nice spicy surprise and we all feel nicely stuffed. Three mains and they gave extra rice, salads, bread and sauces which was delish. Will definitely order again from them. Definitely value for money, and lamb cooked to perfection! On speed dial in the future!

Used the takeaway service, Easy to order over the phone, you can pay by card or cash on delivery. Took about 25 mins to arrive and the food was delicious. Will definitely use this service again.

Top takeaway.! We recently ordered a take away dinner from Sark , we were so impressed with this service! They stuck to COVID. 19 rules and were very professional! The food was another lever of deliciousness !! Will definitely be ordering from them and visiting when lockdown is over !!

Wife and I popped in for light lunch. Spur of the moment and not disappointed. Staff were very friendly and food was typical Turkish Grill fare. We had a cold meze sharing platter, followed by Hot Spicy prawns, with Rice and salad. Including one beer and a small bottle of water - £36 all in.

We had a lovely meal, that we wouldn't have minded waiting for in such a gorgeous environment, but no waiting required! It was surprisingly busy but staff were attentive, helpful, gracious and fun, ALL of them! Johnny served us the most during our meal and was fun as well as helping us translate the menu, and all staff were instantly helpful if we needed anything at all.The food was a real treat. LOVED the bread that came with the platter.We had mostly vegetarian and there was a good range of choices for my son as well.looking forward to traveling back!

Had a booking for 4 people at 8pm on a Saturday in February. Chaos downstairs so went upstairs to bar. Took over 30 mins to get a drink and despite going back downstairs 3 times to ask for our table, hadn’t been served by 9pm. Decided to leave. Plenty of tables clearly waiting for food. Sark haven’t made the step up from their last place which was great.

Living in Turkey I wanted to try this place when I came back to Essex for a flying visit. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Main meals were good. Only downside was one of the starters I had was not the same as it is in Turkey but that's only a small thing. Nice setting although slightly loud due to being so big. Would recommend

Booked for a Saturday night. Started off with drinks upstairs in the bar first which was a nice to start our evening. A waiter came and got us to escort us to our table and had our drinks bill transferred there so could pay at end of the evening. We all had lovely food and sizeable portions. It was really busy so a great atmosphere but because of this service was slightly slow but really not a problem. Great looking restaurant with lots going on so will return

Visited on business. By far the busiest place in town.....for good reason. The service was great and a nice restaurant and atmosphere. The food was exceptional and very generous portions. Could not fault they place and fully recommended

Huge menu to chose from. Beware all dishes are enormous! Restaurant is massive with an upbeat vibe - good for larger groups and celebrations too.

Me and my friend decided to have a joint birthday meal last night which we had booked a month in advance for 9.30pm. There was a large group of us all in the cocktail bar waiting patiently for our table to be called ready. However 9.30 came and everyone was hungry we had all been saving ourselves all day for this but the table wasn't ready. We then waited till 10pm and still nothing so we ended up leaving and going to wetherspoons as everyone was starving hungry.

This was my 3rd visit to the new Sark, and because I love the food and the visually stunning interior, I chose to celebrate my birthday here with over a dozen friends.

Booked on line over a month ago and had received a confirmation email. When we arrived we were told we hadn’t booked and unless we could show confirmation we couldn’t have a table. When I showed the email there was no apology, we were just waved towards a table. Our starters and main course were lovely but the waitress tried to clear our table before we had finished. Our leftovers were boxed up for us to take home but we were offered no further drinks or a dessert menu for some considerable time and a waiter had cleared our table so eventually when somebody came we asked for our bill and left. Not sure whether we will return.

Had the 2course lunch menu which was delicious, the bread,humas,salad and the lamb sish was so lean & tender all was very tasty and plentiful. The surroundings are lovely. The waiters are efficient we were tended by the lovely Johnny. Thanks to all staff will definitely return again.

I came here on valentines evening having booked a couple of weeks prior. We arrived at 7 and were seated in the windows where the seats where very cramped. It wasn’t ideal but I assumed that there would be more people coming soon and this was the reason we couldn’t sit in the ‘nice seats’. However by the time we had finished our meal the ‘nice’ seats were still half empty so I don’t see why we were put in the rubbish seats. We are younger but I don’t see why this should effect anything.

I don't normally take time to write reviews but this place deserves the credit so here it goes.. It was my seccond visit to Sark in it's new location and I absolutely loved it, again! The food is delicious so flavourful and the service was brilliant too! I love how attentive the staff are, they were quick to order and bring drinks and to take our food order overseeing the restaurant and checking for empty plates, glasses, very attentive without being invasive, can't fault the service at all! I love that they provide complimentary dips and warm bread before your meal, such a lovely touch. My main dish was really delicious can't fault a thing! The decor is beautiful and the restaurant has a lovely ambiance, they have really created something beautiful here! I will definitely be back! I have no photo to upload I was too busy enjoying my evening and food! :)

Went for lunch and ate from a la carte. It was a very a nice meal but unfortunately the service let it down. There didn’t seem to be any system of how the staff work. It was a bit Like “the buses” as they say, all or nothing. My friend asked if they did Turkish tea, the waiter said they didn’t and then at the end we noticed it was offered on the beverage section on the dessert menu. The waiter called our calamari onion rings and we had to ask twice for some bread and a drink as they forgot. Shame, other than that good. They just need a better service system. Hope they sort it out otherwise customers will get a bit fed up!!!

Had booked and expected to order from the main menu but the lunch time menu, £8.95 for two courses was on offer and was varied enough us to pick from. Still came with initial side breads and dips but portions although smaller than al la carte suited us just fine and no doggy bag needed this second visit here.

Had a meal for family over the weekend. I would score 7\10. Food was good. Service ok. Main let down is the price of the drink. Cocktails £9.50 each. Prosecco £35. Makes for a very expensive meal.

Heard great things about this restaurant but was let down. Service wasn’t great could of done with more waiting staff. Food was good not outstanding. Worst thing my wife had a used stable in her tap water, this was exchanged for a new bottle water but I would have expected an apology from the head waiter or manager. Will not be rushing back - overall ok

Having had a nice walk on a dry sunny February day myself and wife decided to walk up the high street for a light lunch. Looking for a suitable restaurant we passed Sark Meze Grill and thought we would give it a try.

I was really looking forward to eating at Sark, I had previously tried to make reservations with no success. We arrived and were greeted by friendly staff, we were then told that our table was by the front door. I did mention that I was not happy to sit by the door and was told that I could move to another table as long as I was gone in an hour.

Restaurant decoration was amazing, very comfy place for a spending time. The menu was full of options. The waiter Ando Janos was taking care of us a lot, he made us very happy, he show a lot of knowledge and was very friendly with all . Amazing time we had !

We went for a 30th birthday on a tuesday night, we didn't book but my we were lucky! Turned up around 6.45 and the restaurant was not full but was tables taken, we asked for a table for 2 and the waiter looked around, though for a minute and then found us a table, from the minute we sat down the door was opening every 5 minutes, by 7.30 the whole restaurant was packed! Fantastic atmosphere, great choice of food plus it all tasted lovely. We will definitely go again, but will book next time just to be sure!!!

Had a wonderful experience in the Sark the design it’s absolutely stunning really pleasing for the eyes. The food was delicious really nice. But the best part was the staff, friendly but professional service we had Thomas to care about our table and made an amazing job. Made our experience absolutely fantastic with his service. Having eaten in the old premise a few times, we decided to try the new restaurant, which is lovely but it reminds me of an old time Angus Steak House ( yes I know)

Went here tonight with my family. This was first visit since they moved, restaurant is a massive improvement plenty of space in a lovely setting.

Went to their new restaurant last night. Fantastic venue with a warm friendly atmosphere. Food was perfectly cooked and no shortage of it too! 👍

Having been to Sark before we should of known that the portions are a good size. Nevertheless the starters are so good we had one each as well as our mains. Washed down with Efes beer and wine the whole meal was a real treat. I highly recommend Sark.

Visited Saturday 25/1/20. Restaurant full and staff seemed overwhelmed and unable to cope. Different waiting staff all the time and difficult to get served for drinks and food. Starter and main course left off order and had to be asked for as staff didn’t even realise. At the end of the meal a reduction in the bill was asked for due to missing meals and having to wait while the rest of the party ate. A senior member of staff came over and seemed to find this amusing and asked what I wanted him to do about it, I asked for 25% off he refused then 20% also refused. He then said listen to you telling me what to do I was going to give you your meal free but I’m not now. I pointed out he had asked what I would like done and if he didn’t want to know not to ask. We. Ended up with £15 taken off.

Three stars only because we found it very noisy (we won’t book for Sunday lunch again!)

I came here for a family members birthday surprise. The restaurant is big and well presented, plenty of seating and amazing decor.The staff were so helpful and accommodating, the food delicious. We are planning to go back in couple weeks for my birthday. I highly recommend! They have amazing selection of food and vegetarian options and the best sarma beytis.The staff are all amazing even though is a really busy restaurant they take care of each customer is care and always ask if they need more drinks or anything else.Also can not talk about the amazing cocktail bar upstairs with friendly staff there and the best cocktails and drinks all done in care. Well done Sark and thank you too all the staff for a great night.Amazing

I took my friend here for birthday today we had the best night.we was able to go and have drinks upstairs before our meal which was such a nice atmosphere and they do the best cocktails (pornstar martini ) if you do go try it you won’t regret it. When we then went to our table and ordered our food the starters were delicious which even though it was busy they staff was extremely helpful and informative.Our Mains were all so delicious everything was all served well and on time.Also as we informed them that it was my friends birthday they brought a cake for her and singed her happy birthday which was great. I just want to say I love this place and will be back because of how friendly the staff are and how excellent the food are .

Superb excellent food and portion sizes - service was quality as was the atmosphere - we will be back soon!

A disappointing visit. We ordered a starter to share and thoroughly enjoyed taking our time when we were suddenly asked if we were finished (we still had food!) when we said no, the waitress said “I can leave it on the table but your mains are ready”. Before we knew it, our mains were there. Beautiful food ruined because there was no space between the starter and the main. The owner and staff were apologetic and gave us money off but it was still an expensive (and a very much looked forward to) evening ruined as neither of us ate our food and felt rushed. We were told we should of said we required a break between courses (really? We eat out regularly and always have sufficient time to finish the starter before the main!) The food was lovely and presented beautifully, it’s such a shame we didn’t get to enjoy it!

We went to the old restaurant that was at the top of the High Street and found it average, so we thought we would try it again at its new location. First impressions was how big it was and how busy it was. I had booked a table for 19:30hrs on the Saturday night but as we found out that really only guarantees that you can sit and wait for a spare table and not that you will be seated at the time booked.

We arrived early on a Friday evening and the restaurant wasnt busy at all. We where all sat for over 20 minutes before anyone came over to ask if we want drinks. Once we had ordered drinks 2 more waiters came over to ask if we wanted drinks even tho we just ordered!

So after visiting the sarks old restaurant exactly a year ago for my fiancé’s birthday and having not so nice experience I had said never again !!! BUT we did try again the new restaurant a fully booked one at that ! We was served within a couple of minutes starters on the table within 10 mins followed by mains all food was top draw both mixed kebabs perfectly cooked the staff quick and very polite 10/10 .. portions were to big so no room for afters now for the only negative , sark you need to put a hand rail down the stairs leading from the toilets !

A party of 9, we had a great evening. The food was delicious. Not overly priced. Huge selection to choose from. I will definitely be back.

Once more out for Christmas Dinner this time at Sark Maldon.

It was our future daughter in law's mothers birthday on Christmas Eve and we were invited for her birthday meal. This restaurant has only recently re-opened following a move from a much smaller building. It has been well decorated and from what we were told the prices haven't been increased much to pay for it. Because we knew we would be eating alot of meat over Christmas my wife and I decided to have Dover Sole as the main course. It was a good size fish that went with a choice of potato or chips accompanied by green vegetables. It was less moist than previous times I have tried it in other restaurants but still very nice. We did have starters which were good. The bill for the whole party including drinks (wine and beer) worked out at £40 a head including service. We would definitely consider going back again.

Arrived and it was quite busy for a lunchtime, there was a big group in so expected it to be slow service. was seated quickly and the decor is lovely! Waited quite a while for the drink order to be taken but that wasn't a problem. There is quite a laid back atmosphere but again not a problem for us. we ordered the hot sharing starter and sharing main.....Omg starter was amazing and was already full up then the main came out..enormous.... looked and tasted awesome!! try it for yourself!!

We visited after a recommendation from a friend and were not disappointed l excellent food and friendly service. We rated the food on a par with other top rated Turkish restaurants we have been to. We will definitely be returning

Went there last night for a friend's birthday. First time visit can't praise it highly enough, the staff are brilliant nice decor and food was faultless. If you are thinking of going don't hesitate.

We have visited a few times before the recent move to new premises and have never been disappointed with the service or food. Now in a much larger restaurant the owners have managed to maintain that high standard and create a place to eat that has great ‘buzz’. There were plenty of staff the night we went and we were welcomed at the door and taken to our table. The food as always, was delicious and plentiful. I would advise booking a table though, as even though the restaurant is now huge, it was full the night we went and remains a very popular place to eat.
