SaraZtro in Cardiff

Venue, food and staff are wonderful! Held a baby shower in the party room upstairs and was the perfect venue. We had the entire upstairs to ourselves with room to decorate, machine to play music, fridge to store food and drinks and terrace outside. We had a hot buffet with skewers for food and everyone complimented how amazing the food was. The staff were super attentive regularly checking we had everything we needed. Thanks so much for all of your help Agit!

Popped in for the lunch deal. Nice atmosphere, drinks a bit pricey. Food was generally okay but felt the quality of the meat we got given wasn’t amazing. Staff were friendly which made up for it somewhat :)

We ate there on Saturday eve.4 of us. Luckily booked a a table as when we arrived at 7pm it was empty but within few mins got completely full. Service and staff were spot on. Polite, not too much in your face but also there if you needed anything. Menu again not too many items but catered for all needs. All our dishes were great. I prefer my seabass a bit more "dry" but that's a personal preference. It was our first time there and would definitely recommend. Price very reasonable. Next time hopefully the weather is better and we could try their outside area.

Amazing place, the staff and the owner are so welcoming! We have been really taken care of and did not want to leave. Well priced. Good size outside terrace and inside restaurant. Can’t wait to come back

One of my favourite places to eat in Wellfield Road

It's more of a bar than a restaurant, went in and we were a table out of 2 that was eating , everyone else was just drinking. Food tasted good but the portions are fairly small, is it good value for money? Not really but it could be worse, you'd think with the competition of yammas a few doors down that they would provide the same kind of portions, but they do not. When we asked for tap water they told us that it might come out a little brown, and said if that's OK, um not really, not sure if this was true or they just didn't want to give us tap water and wanted us to buy over priced bottled water, either way if you are having general water issues with your tap, bottled water should have been given to us for free. Issues like this should be reflected on the customer.

The chicken saute melts in your mouth and full of flavour. Homous is a good size portion ideal to share as a side to your main Lovely atmosphere and staff are attentive and very friendly Didn't break the bank but has an air of fine dining

The staff are very polite and friendly, from waiters to chefs. The food quality and flavours were amazing. Portion size isn't huge, but you are paying for quality not quantity. If you want to feel stuffed go to an all-you-can-eat. Would definitely recommend and return.

I had a table on the evening of 21st July 2023. Whilst dining, a gentleman came in with a young girl (7-8yrs approx) and asked if his daughter could use the toilet, which the waiter appeared to agree to. However, the supervisor/person who appeared to in charge over-ruled the waiter and refused to let the little girl use the toilet, so the man and his daughter left. To me, this left a rather unpleasant feel to the whole meal. So much for hospitality and compassion towards a child in need. Kudos to the waiter who agreed and shame on you to the supervisor. The food was good and the rest of the staff were great, but sadly we won’t be returning to the restaurant.

Decent Greek food, with a good value lunch office.

Four friends on a few days away chanced on this restaurant near to where we were staying. We all had fabulous food and were well looked after by the staff. Top marks from us.

Booked a table which was available on arrival staff were very attentive wide selection of Greek drinks eg Mythos which is traditional drink. Ordered a Beef Stifado absolutely delicious really tender chunks of beef... side dishes of stuffed vine leaves followed by Baklava for desert

It was not authentic at all. I've been to Greece for over 30 years and was nothing like it. Food was poor quality our of packets not fresh, the staff in fairness were nice, but we won't be back sadly.

My husband and I visited here today 22/4/23 and we thought it was great. The food was so very authentic, better than some meals we have had in Greece itself. good that my husband actually ordered a second meal!! The staff were polite and friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back again next time we visit family here. I cannot recommend this restaraunt enough. It is well worth a visit, I feel sure you won't be disappointed. While we were here there was a 70 birthday party, so the food must be good as they appeared to be locals and wouldn't have arranged for a birthday gathering there otherwise.

It was so good we came home and booked our holiday to Greece. Will definitely be going back

The food is absolutely delicious, really well seasoned and cooked perfectly. And everything was really affordable! We had the chicken and pork souvlaki and a several of the starters as sides - would definitely recommend trying a bit of everything because it was all tasty.

Went here for the first time this week (early March 2023) with a friend. I had the burger after agonising over the chicken and pork souvlaki dishes (watch this space!). It was delicious 😋😍 as were the seasoned (paprika?) chips that came with it. The staff were really friendly, happy and helpful and the atmosphere and decor were on point 👌. I will definitely be back to eat the rest of the menu 👍❤️

Had a nice meal here on a Friday evening . Prawns were great. Sardines good. It was quite a loud, lively environment so be prepared!

We were greeted by a lovely gentleman. We had such a nice time here. All the staff are really friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. The food is outstanding and is traditional greek food. Made perfectly. Highly recommend. Thank you so much.

on my own so was made to sit in the back where there were no other people. (there were tables available in the front of the restaurant) waitress and guy at the counter found this amusing, will never step foot inside that place SaraZtro again.

What a beautiful cosy place the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. We had quite a few side orders and still reasonably cheap. They had a jazz band playing tonight. Highly recommend a visit. The staff are brilliant can't wait to go again

This is one of my favourite places to eat and drink. I have been here many times and can honestly say I have never had a bad meal there. Love the Mousaka especially. I came here last Saturday (17th Sept) and had a great night. Staff were really friendly, always. Top class

Always a genuine smile and good suggestions if you get stuck for choice ! It looks pricey, but by the quality of the food, you'll see why. They make every dish with care and it's always just the right amount - even for a glutton like me :)

After a bit of a mixup with the table time and a bit of to'ing and fro'ing we had fast service and the food was delicious. Would definitely go back and recommend to friends and family. Great food, great prices.

An absolute gem. Myself and my partner ate here on Monday night and we honestly couldn't fault the experience. It was a beautiful, modern and relaxing decor with a warm and welcoming service to match. It was a reasonably limited menu but we shouldn't have worried - the food was EXCEPTIONAL. Very authentic, perfectly served and more importantly - super tasty. We weren't too keen on the wine, but that really didn't taint the experience at all. All in all it was fantastic value for money, attentive and friendly service and somewhere we definitely will be returning. (Posting same review to Tripadvisor)

First visit to this gem in Cardiff. Greek food at it’s best with genuine Greek hospitality. Fairly priced and a good selection. Highly recommended and will visit again!

We had booked a table but even on a Saturday evening there is so much seating (both inside and outside) there were a few tables empty. We had a warm welcome and were offered a table indoors or outside. We opted for inside. You order food and drinks at the bar. There is a short but exciting menu and a full bar. We really loved the dishes we selected. The service was fast and friendly, the food presented nicely and really tasty. We enjoyed the two wines we chose and the bill was very reasonable. A lovely evening, nice atmosphere and traditional Greek food. Highly recommended and we will certainly go back.

No a fancy place, too expensive for too little a service. A pint of Heineken costs £5. I think they've confused themselves with London. Never coming here again. Too expensive.

Great food! Amazing staff here also... only one down side is the lack of keo which is a Greek beer. If you're into pork or chicken then you're in for a treat.. Great place :)

Iclve got a small child and asked for the skewers to be well done just because some places have done them pink inside and that was tge first ive been here..the chef was making jokes that he will serve us medium rare...didnt even apologise..
