Incredible food, amazing staff, what a great place!

Ate here with 3 family members October 2024. Ordered way too much food! All absolutely delicious and good value for money. Staff are so lovely. Very friendly, helpful and attentive.

Been here on various occasions in groups of 2, 4, 7 and even 10 - never disappoints! Food is always amazing, service fantastic, might just be my favorite korean place here. Feels just like home ♥️

I’ve been coming for years to this place and I never seen anything like I saw, a dog literally eating and licking the table absolutely unhygienic it made me feel very disgusted. Super unhygienic won’t be coming back.

Wonderful food and very, very nice service. You can feel like in Korea! We ate a la carte and it was delicious, I especially recommend Tteokbokki!

This spot used to be a different Korean restaurant long time ago, and back then, the owner of the well-known Wasabi sushi chain (yes, that Wasabi! 🍣) was testing out the concept before launching their Kimchi restaurant chain. I always ordered the spicy seafood & tofu soup back then 🍲, so I was excited to see what Sarang had to offer! 💕 As a solo diner, I wasn’t sure if I could order the BBQ set on my own 🤔, but I decided to give it a try – and I’m so glad I did! From the moment I stepped in, the staff were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home 💛. I ordered the BBQ set (£29 per person), which comes with 4 types of meat, salad, and side dishes – fantastic value! 🥗🍖 The best part? The staff took care of the BBQ, cooking everything perfectly, so all I had to do was sit back, eat, and enjoy 😋. I found the pork and chicken to be especially tender and juicy, even more so than the beef, so I’ll probably order a different set next time. Overall, it was a fantastic dinner, and I’ll definitely be back soon! 🙌 Highly recommend for solo diners to the large group who are craving great food and friendly service. 💫

One of my go-to spots. I usually go for the BBQ set, where the staff help grill the food—perfect for lazy diners like me. A must-try is their chap che dop bab; mixing the rice into the soup is pure comfort and absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!

The staff were fairly attentive but the food was greasy. It was a bit over the top how staff say goodbye. It was our first time trying Korean food and we will not be trying it again after this. Expensive for what it is.

Authentic Korean food, friendly and nice staff, kimchi and fried chicken are so lovely!

Ordered fried squid rice, Tofu stew and beef, the beef was chewy and flavourless, the squid needed more sesame but the tofu stew was good better option out of the two korean restaurants in the area. Fast delivery of food to the table.

We took beef ribeye, beef galbi, soy chicken and some kimchi for take-away. Everything tastes great and we even got some vegetable salad and spring onion on the house. My personal favourite was beef galbi which tastes absolutely amazing with their korean BBQ sauce Great place, can't wait to visit again:)

I ordered a soondubu-jjige and I can assure you that it was quite a rich and flavorful soup. Perfect amount of spice and they give it to you boiling! 😸 I personally LOVE when it's really hot. If you want something very flavorful and seasoned I would FULLY recommend it. The cost was 10.20 pounds which is quite affordable and it filled me up. My friend ordered a chicken bibimbap which was alright, the chicken was good, however the rest was a little underwhelming. Adding kimchi to it did make it taste better though! Overall great experience and very friendly staff. Good proportions!

Food is always good here and very good value. My kids loved the whole bbq cooking experience. The service and attention was fast and attentive.

Nice Korean BBQ place. Vibe and service are great. Prices are normal. Bulgogi was great but can’t say the same thing for galbi - hence the 4 star. Beef and chicken are halal - but there’s pork and alcohol. I hope there’s no contamination.

I'm from Dallas Texas USA and I was looking for something good to eat in this area and going to Sarang was a great choice. I loved the atmosphere,the welcome, excellent customer service. When I got to my hotel I opened my food and was surprised as there was a side salad added to my order for free and a note . That was really nice! Thank you so much for your excellent service. I highly recommend and I will definitely be back to dine here.

Our favourite Korean BBQ spot. Get the set menue and it comes with l the side dishes. Smiling and lovely waitresses and quick service.

If you love Korean food. You can have the Korean BBQ, or just pick from the menu. Huge choice from rice to noodles, kimchi and more. I had one of the main soups, the seafood soondubu. This was a spicy hot pot with soft tofu, seafood and egg (served with steamed rice). It was beyond delicious. Spicy and piping hot and so tasty. Full of flavour. Only order this if you can take spice. The small portion of steamed rice was perfect with it. They give a small complimentary starter salad. The dressing on it was something else. A sweet, tangy flavour. Like miso. So good. Clean. Busy restaurant. Service is efficient. I had an early dinner. Staff were pleasant. My main issue was how you were hurried to finish your meal. I had a time limit of 1 hour (guessing as I was one person) but bigger groups had about one and a half hours. It did feel rushed and I was constantly looking at my watch. Yes it was enough time as food came out quickly but I think they need to let guests enjoy their meal. Literally as soon as I had finished, my plates were cleared and I was 'encouraged' to go. I would suggest booking a table. Very reasonably priced. Vegetarian options are limited.

Beautiful place! It is accessible from anywhere. The food is aromatic and fresh, a unique barbecue style which will appetise anyone! I would definitely recommend it and come again.

Me and my wife have been going to this place for our one month anniversary since we started dating nearly three years ago and every time we come and eat together we fall more in love with this place We get the bbq set b and change the beef to gue to the spicy pork and its so delicious thankyou.

Great services for cutting and mixing for the food, the atmosphere is clean and tidy so as the toilets, the food is really good and this place is very traditional

Disappointing food ,overpriced and with very poor customer service . Mushroom Bab was with very little veggies and mushrooms on the bed of rice.1 fried egg was extra £2.00 and if you ask for a little chilli oil or chilli powder it would be £1.00 more. Avoid and spend your money elsewhere!

Exceptional food, the barbecue is great fun to cook at the table and delicious. Staff are super friendly and polite despite always being busy. Never had a bad dish here ❤️

I went there on a friend's recommendation and it was delicious. The barbecue and sunjji were delicious, but the seasoned chicken and tteokbokki was fantastic,,🤩 Compared to other Korean restaurants, the atmosphere was classy and the tables were spacious, which was nice. I was happy because they served Korean kimchi and the water was purified. It's a shame that I can't go often because it's far away.

The food was overall quite tasty. We liked the kimchi soup and the pork, kimchi and tofu salad, although they were a tad salty. The fried chicken reminded us of Chinese fast food, like that you would find from Panda Express. Regardless, it was still good. The BBQ was okay, as the pork belly had some meaty flavour, while the beef didn’t taste of much. BBQ will also make your wallet sting a little. I didn’t find it to be the best value for money. Service was very polite and efficient. Food came out quickly.

Very cute and cosy korean spot. Probably the most affordable kbbq restaurant in London! The staff are so lovely and the food is so flavourful. Definitely a recommended place to eat.

Our family’s by far favourite Korean restaurant in London. Always very busy, but attentive and friendly staff makes our day.

We went to this restaurant for Proper Korean Food and found it really amazing. Did barbecue chicken, had some new dishes, staffs were friendly and the price was fair. Don’t forget to book before you go walk in, it was crowded on Friday evening.

The food is very good (I love the BBQ), and the service is exceptional! This is my favourite Korean restaurant. They offer a bit of salad before your meal and some fruits afterwards, which is nice. They also bring the food very quickly which can save a lot of time if you are in a hurry.

BBQ set is good valued. There are 4 kinds of meat. Fried chicken is delicious. Crispy and juicy. Squid rice is tasty.

Really good! Have lived in south Korea before and the beef soup was super authentic. The fried chicken wasn't really Korean style, was in between Korean and tempura and was a bit cold. Service was excellent, prices are reasonable for this day and age. Atmosphere great too. Will definitely be returning.

Extremely unhappy and upset with the discrimination and prejudice against my autistic daughter!! Will definitely not be coming back again! I had dinner with some friends here couple of days ago (21st Feb). I was with my daughter who is autistic. She is very picky in what food she likes and so I had to buy some McDonalds for her to eat, whilst we were having our dinner. A while later a waitress came up to our table and rudely explained that we were not allowed food from outside whilst dining there. I, therefore put the McDonalds away and tried to get my daughter to have the food that we ordered. Unfortunately, she was not having it. So, I had to sneakily provide the McDonalds for her to eat whilst we were having our dinner. The waitress, then came up to us again and in an extremely rude manner and rolling her eyes, told us this is not allowed. I explained that my daughter is autistic and sorry that she is very picky with her food. I explained that she knows we have McDonalds so started complaining that I would give it to her. I explained that she would have an outburst which could disturb the other customers. The waitress, then proceeded to say “have you asked the other customers if they minded to be disturbed?” – I mean what sort of a question is that!! She said “outside food is banned from here”. I asked, so if babies were to come, are they not allowed to have baby food? She said “yes, baby food is also not allowed here” – This is simply ridiculous! I, then approached the front desk to ask to speak to the manager and the lady explained that the manager was not in. The waitress, then approached us again and just kept repeating “outside food is not allowed”. I asked her “do you want us to leave?” to which she responded, “outside food is not allowed”. This got me extremely upset and so, I felt I had to leave with my daughter and left our friends there to continue with their dinner. It turns out that we spent approx. £90 for the meal! Surely as customer with a special case, any normal person, would be understanding of our situation!! A day later, I was still extremely upset with this discrimination, so I decided to call to speak to the manager. They put the phone down as soon as they hear I wanted to speak with a manager. I called again and explained I needed to make a complaint to the manager, which they responded the manager is not in. I said, in that case I will just have to make a complaint online. To which, they said. OK. Hope you continue trading like this, because before long you will no longer have any customers! I’m now considering taking this further to make a complaint to the Equality and Human Rights Commission, so they can pay you a visit!

Good food, good hygiene and reasonable price. We had bbq there and it is the cheapest compared to all the other bbq place. With the price we got I am also quite surprised with the massive portion of meat. It is a tiny restaurant but got plenty of space for each seats! Will go again!

So gutted that the service lets the restaurant down as the food is delicious. We were told we only had one hour to eat and leave, however I thought a few minutes would be allowed just to finish the food. We were reminded every few minutes how long we have remaining and I was left feeling so uncomfortable, shoving food down my throat because I was about to get kicked out. One hour to sit down, order and eat is not sufficient, especially for a Korean bbq. Till our meat was cooked, we were told we need to leave soon. I was just finishing up my food and my plate was taken away from me just as I went in to pick up my last bite. A very, very uncomfortable and hostile experience.

Loved the food here, ordered marinated spicy pork dish and similar chicken. Since it was my first time to do a kbbq, the staff helped a lot in terms of cooking the meat for us and giving suggestions on how to eat it. Although I ended up over ordering food, it was an overall good experience. I would like to go again.

Went here for my 20th birthday in November of 2023, food is great and they come and cook it right in front of you! Amazing range of food, I loved the tea it was very nice Korean tea, service was good they bring the food out quite quickly, overall I enjoyed this experience and I highly recommend going here! 😊

If you go here and order the Korean bbq DO NOT ORDER THE CHICKEN!!! I went there and ordered two set As that come with beef and chicken. When I went to Korea me and my partner literally lived off of Korean bbq, however anywhere we went in Korea we would never find a place that served chicken there would only be beef and pork options, we thought this was weird but we was fine with just eating beef every time because it was so nice! The difference was in Korea most of the meat is really thin so it cooked really fast, and you would cook the meat yourself so you would cook it to your own personal preference. However when we came here the beef on the platter was quite thick and wasn’t the best quality and to be honest was chewy! However the chicken is the PROBLEM! On the platter they had chicken thighs whole when it came to them cooking the chicken (because you don’t cook your own food here the waitresses do it for you) they put half the thighs on the bbq and these took so long to cook because they was so big, this was the first problem however the real problems started when one waitress came and cut up the chicken and said it was ready however it was NOT it was still pink so we asked to cook it more so they did and they cut it smaller. Waited a bit longer finally the chicken was looking cooked, she said it was ready so we started eating it but then a different waitress came and put the rest of the raw chicken on the grill with the cooked meat so now we had to wait even longer because she had mixed all the cooked and raw chicken together. The chicken was taking even longer to cook this time as the bbq was way too over crowded, the waitress then came back cut up the new chicken thighs and they was visibly still RAW AF and told us it was ready to eat!! So in the end we just left the chicken. Long story short I now have food poisoning from this restaurant so thanks for the really much appreciated x

Delicious as always! Really solid Korean BBQ spot at a very decent price point. I’ve been coming here since it was called Kimchee many years ago, I do miss the Yuke Bibim Bap but the new additions to the menu more than compensate. The staff are always friendly and easygoing. Service time is great, without feeling rushed. Great for group BBQs and solo dining, which I’ve done on occasion as it’s some of the best food in the area.

Good reasonably priced Korean food

Hello all today we had very nice food after long time.. And service was amazing and specially I have say here we are around 32 people with kids and Mansi was give us very quirk service and always smiling face..even we order so many food but they give us very quick food on table. And after this visit we love to come again and again.. Thank you ..

Second time coming back to Sarang and it was a wonderful experience! The staff helped us grill the meat and were very friendly even when others turned up very close to closing time.

Food okay but added 10% "service charge" didn't like that. Bill came to £196.03 had the cheeky to ask for the 3p after sticking on 20 odd pounds in service charges. Greedy
