We went to the Islington branch after hearing fantastic things about the small chain online. Needless to say our expectations were definitely fulfilled - I had San Rosso pizzas which was delicious: the sharpness of the parmesan complemented the creamy burrata perfectly. We had great cocktails for £7.50 each and service was attentive and friendly.

I came to the restaurant today with my father and my toddler. We were served by a lady who gave us her bad attitude and poker face throughout our whole dining experience. a couple of examples: 1) when we first came into the restaurant, i kindly asked the lady (who served us later on) if there was a kids menu. She answered coldly NO, and implied that we should go away! this was definitely not the kids friendly restaurant!! We chose to stay as my son was very hungry; 2) After we sat down, we were after some advice on the menu, and in particular the differences between a few options. her male colleague took the order. He did not make any recommendations, and he simply said they were all very similar (then whats the point of having so many options to confuse people!!); 3) My son was after some meat options, and there are limited cooked meat options, so we ordered a portion of meatball and a pizza with sausage. my son didnt like the meatball (it tasted a bit raw inside), but he liked the sausage. So I asked if we can order a portion of sausage on its own. The lady who served us initially again answered coldly no. She could have done it in a much more polite and nice way than giving us this attitude and a poker face as if we owed her something; 4) Towards the ending of the dining, we asked for some take-away boxes, she said nothing again, and just started to take away our plates. Then I asked at least three times we need some take-away boxes (I even ran after her to make sur le the food did not go to waste), then she turned around and said ok. I was certain that if I did not insist, she would throw away our food. 5) After having our food packed, we asked for a paper bag to carry as the pot for the meatball started to leak already. Initially she said we do not have bags, and I have to ask again and again then she gave us a paper bag. Why giving away a paper bag was such a difficult decision? 6) When we asked to pay, she again ignored us and attend to someone who just came into the restaurant and started to process an order for him. I had to ask her to serve us first (it was our turn) and I had to explain my toddler got unsettled after seeing her being so rude in front of us. This was my worst dining experience and I certainly did not expect a restaurant in Fulham can be so family / kids unfriendly, and the waitress can be so rude and ignorant. There is definitely big room for improvement in service quality!

I went to this place after a long search because unfortunately I can't eat everything and I meticulously select the place to stop. I was pleasantly surprised, the treatment and welcome of the staff and the manager in particular, Sara, remained in my heart, I felt at home! not to mention the taste and quality of the food, the attention with which it is prepared.. I will definitely be back

We found ourselves in a hurry having to choose a place to have dinner, it was very late and the manager Sara was very kind in welcoming us and showing us all her passion for this profession. He made us feel at home!! We soon have the "Mattia" pizza which was exceptional, compliments also to the tiramisu. We will definitely return.

Although not in a city centre, it's worth the visit - the service is quick and the staff is very nice. I was happy to see a wide selection of dishes and pizzas for vegetarians. We ordered Santa Carmela and San Filippo, and both were a good size.

we had the best pizza we have ever had, and we love to try different styles of pizza. we also rate this pizza the best, coming from a foodie city with lots of pizza styles/options (new orleans, la, usa). we highly recommend giving santa maria a try. even if you don’t love neapolitan style pizza, you will appreciate it and at least like it. 😁

We are Italians, and we love Santa Maria! Exceptional pizza, amazingly fast service and super lovely staff always very kind and welcoming, in particular Sara made us feel at home and so welcomed, finding us a table straight away even if we did a walk in in a busy evening, . The atmosphere is warm and relaxed. Highly recommended if you’re looking for genuine Italian food.

What a fantastic restaurant. We had to change our reservation to later and although they were busy made room for us. Made us feel so welcome and looked after our son brilliantly. Really friendly and professional staff. All amazing and great pizza at a very reasonable price.

An authentic Italian pizza's place where the food, the atmosphere and the service are so good that you just want more and more of it. Definitely recommend!

I would highly recommend Santa Maria if you're looking for a delicious bite. The desserts, especially the tiramisu, are fantastic! One of our pizzas was slightly undercooked and seemed a bit watery, but I would try it out again.

We had the vegetarian options and they were delicious, customer service was excellent. Atmosphere looked grand but we weren’t dining in. We reheated the pizzas and they were still amazing!

We came here last night and the food was absolutely amazing!!! I was craving bruschetta and pizza and this smashed it! The prices for the portions you get are incredible also! Isabel was wonderful aswell, so sweet and made sure everything was perfect! Hats off to her for her wonderful caring customer service 💕

Update: The attitude of the (I’m guessing) manager below says it all, rude and couldn’t care less about the customer experience. Pizza made badly and remade badly - the lowest priced one of two pizzas “given free” because I refused to pay for it, it was so bad, this was not offered by the “manager”. You’re in the wrong line of work, sir, management & customer service are not for you. Really poor experience today, third time we’ve visited and every time something has left us irritated or unsatisfied. As others have said, any pizza that comes with cheese (mine didn’t have cheese and was quite nice, for which I’ve given the 2 stars) is just a wet sloppy mess. I appreciate a thin crust but these are tracing paper thin, and undercooked, with a massive pool of water on top. Sent back my husband and son’s pizzas, the waitress agreeing that they looked awful, only for them to be replaced almost immediately with two that were exactly the same. I complained again but at this point we couldn’t wait any longer. Waitress advised she would speak to the manger, who eventually came over as we were finishing and could not have cared any less. In addition, the chef started stomping around the restaurant speaking loudly on his phone, which didn’t make for the best atmosphere, and is incredibly unprofessional. We paid and left without any member of staff so much as looking in our direction. Don’t bother with this place, go to Bridge Baker round the corner instead.

Very disappointed with the quality. Tasted cheap, ordered the one with sausages and it’s not something I will ever order again. Pizza base was not well made and baked poorly. And it looked dreadful! Shame as they used to be ok.

The pizza was brilliant, I was really surprised. For all stadium visitors, a perfect opportunity to eat something good! I highly recommend it

Our tradition is Pizza Fridays, we like this place very much. that year we were there for the first time, we were welcomed warmly because the Polish woman was the manager and she was happy when she heard the Polish language. the pizzas are delicious, and this year I was surprised that there was a gluten-free pizza. we will definitely go back there.

Best Pizza in London!? No chance. Came here for lunch today with my family and it was such a disappointment. I knew from The moment I saw Hummus on the menu that it was not going to be a good experience. I love hummus but I’ve never seen it in an Italian pizzeria. Pizza was sloppy and sorry to say the toppings were not fresh. Tinned mushrooms… Come on guys… Pizza was undercooked and had so much moisture in the centre. We had eaten at most a third of each of our four Pizzas. Starters were also a disappointment (Bought in frozen bread). We asked the for the bill and the waitress took the payment and only asked after the bill was processed if everything was ok. It was clear from what was left that we had hardly eaten. She apologised when we explained. She then went on to show/tell the “Manager” whom obviously couldn’t care less. We then saw the “Manager” speak to the chef and from what we could tell also couldn’t care less. We left the restaurant with no comment from the “Manager” as we were leaving. Will defiantly not come back. If was the owner I’d change the Manager. Managers are meant to Manage and look after the business. He should have dealt with the situation. If your main item on the menu Pizza at least produce it at a high standard. The restaurant was not busy with only 3/4 tables seated so no excuses. Stevie Wonder could make better Pizzas. Pull your socks up guys.

Amazing food at amazing prices as always!

Absolutely awesome pizza. Arrived after a Chelsea game to our pre-booked table, the ambience was very pleasant and the restaurant was spotless. All bar one of the staff were very friendly but we were made to feel very welcome. Food was outstanding and service was swift. We had two soft drinks and two pizzas which came to £35 included service. We thought this was good value and look forward to returning again.

The place offers a good selection of pizzas and drinks. I went there on a Saturday and they must have been quite busy as my pizza was good but a bit undercooked.

We took our wider family to the Fulham restaurant. The pizza and tiramisu was fantastic, the Sauvignon Blanc excellent value and the service from Stephanie the perfect balance of attentiveness, friendliness and efficient service. Santa Maria is undoubtedly the best pizza restaurant in London. Thanks - especially to Stephanie - for a great evening.

This is the best pizza I have in fulham, real italy feeling. Also the service was amazing especially Estefane was so friendly and quick. We definitely coming again.

The pizza is absolutely delicious! The crust is perfectly crispy, and the toppings are fresh. I also want to mention the excellent service provided by Estefane she was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Overall, a great dining experience with amazing pizza and outstanding service!

We came for lunch as a family, dinner and the waiter ask us to get out because he’s alone and he cannot serve the whole restaurant. Even if you have a staff issue, you cannot talk like that to the customers. Please avoid this place at any cost. Please avoid cost because they cannot treat customers like that.

If you like your pizza raw in the middle and completely wet and soggy…this is the place for you. Very poor pizza to say the least and sadly the service is at the same level. In fact most of the meal there is no service at all. Please learn how to make a pizza that doesn’t have a swimming pool of water in the middle! By the way, this wasn’t the problem with one pizza…all of them were like this. Noisy and too much light. Not a good choice at all. Will definitely not be coming back!

Santa Maria in Waterford Road is one of my favorite pizza places in London. I highly recommend it for small or large groups (there is one large communal style table). The pizza is very good and the service very attentive and kind.

I had a disappointing experience at Santa Maria on Fulham Road. The waiters were disrespectful and unhelpful, creating a negative atmosphere. Additionally, I found hair in my food, which was quite off-putting. Overall, not a pleasant dining experience.

Eravamo in giro per il quartiere e siamo finiti nel locale per caso. Ci siamo sentiti subito a casa, la pizza è buonissima e il personale gentilissimo. Lo consiglio vivamente.

It was nice but the host wasn't very welcoming in my opinion.

We had a kids birthday party at the near by facility and moved to the restaurant for food and drink. Lovely place. Staff was friendly, helpful and the pizza was great! They allowed us to bring in a birthday cake and eat in the restaurant, how kind! Plates were offered too. Can't recommend more. The ONLY issue was booking. It was the most challenging booking I've ever made with a restaurant. First time - we are busy call us back tomorrow. Second time (next day) - We are full for that time frame (later I learnt they weren't). Third time - for 8 people please email us. Fourth time as I didn't hear by email - we are busy. Call us back 5 minutes later. Fifth time (5 mins later) - the phone off the hook. Sixth time (another day) - I insisted we really need to book and managed to book! Nevertheless we will come back to them if we eat in the area! Just wish they allow me to book a table straight away ;-)

There are multiple rats in the restaurant and the hygiene is extremely poor.

Ajo! Pizza buonissima, lo consiglio se siete nei pressi dello stadio del Chelsea.

The food here is 10/10, some of the best pizza I’ve eaten outside of Italy. Aubergine Parmigiana is also fabulous. However, the service was quite slow and we were left waiting a long time to order/drinks etc.

W smaku bardzo dobra pizza, niestety za cienkie ciasto przez to uniemożliwiało to sprawne jedzenie pizzy a nawet przeniesienie jej na talerz. Długi czas oczekiwania na pizzę jak i na złożenie zamówienia. Lokal bardzo przyjemny, w toaletach jak i na sali bardzo czysto. Ogólnie polecam!

This place doesn’t deserve 4.6 stars. We ordered two pizzas one Santa Paola and Napoli. No fresh ingredients, mushrooms from the can and others seem to be taken from the freezer with no taste, very poor tomato sauce. The Napoli was too salty and the bread of both pizzas was rubbery. Wouldn’t come back nor recommend anyone to eat here

Pizza was very tasty, but service was incredibly slow on a Friday evening - would be somewhat understandable but it was very long for Neapolitan style pizza. We were also asked to give our table up on time still; manager was kind enough to offer us limoncello to make up for it, however.
