Changed ownership, started off great but think they must be feeling the pinch as the fillings in the sandwiches has drastically reduced in size so it’s nearly all bread, the selection available has reduced be prepared to wait ages if someone in front of you wants a coffee, and their opening times are ridiculous, shame.

I stumbled across this local shop/cafe on the way to a friends/business associates and it was not at all what I expected! It sells all the local items a village might expect but the bakery and sandwich counter is far from average!! No skimping on the portion sizes of the sandwiches and they have some hidden Gems! I have tried the peas pudding and ham sandwich, chicken and mayo and the ham cheese and pickle! All were excellent. But the show cases for me are the bacon and egg sandwiches (if you want well done eggs or runny eggs you get what you order!) and the corn beef bites are exceptional especially when just out of the oven. I travel past the shop about 9 times a year and always take a detour to order the highlights! You have to try this place, the staff are so welcoming and put theirselves out (even lending me a tray for a large order of corn beef bites and said bring it back next time you are passing, which I did) Looking forward to seeing them in about 3 weeks when I pass! Keep doing what you do. First class.

Stopped by for some lunch and had an excellent bacon and cheese toastie. The shop has started stocking local produce, fruit and veg. We picked up some great old fashioned bacon and locally sourced buns. Delicious!

Had a really lovely experience when visiting Long Horsely Village Shop on the way up to Amble just before New Year. Ordered a Flat white coffee and a Flapjack. Coffee was velvety smooth and delicious at just the right temperature. Could tell it was a brand new state of the art machine and they offered alternative milks as well as dairy which is always popular to have these days. The guys serving were super friendly and welcoming, I think they said their names were Matty and Dave. Chatted for a while and then ended up ordering another coffee before I left for Amble as it was so good! It is a rare treat to be served by such genuinely lovely people who really care about making a positive difference to your day. Will definitely be paying the shop another visit next time I journey up north!

Bought 2 sandwiches , tuna mayonnaise and chicken/ stuffing , the tuna was all mayonnaise, absolutely awful , the chicken no better , at £3.50 each I would expect a decent sandwich ,

I didn't try any of the sandwiches etc., tempting though they were! I cycled up each day from our holiday cottage at Beacon Hill for the newspaper, and usually 2-3 slices of delicious home-made caramel shortbread. I'm very picky when it comes to caramel shortbread - Millars is excellent and highly recommended.

Millars at Longhorsley The store that fills the gap For when you need that one thing They have it there on tap Whether it be media, food or items for house cleaning Drop in to see Jan She has the product that you're needing. The opening that it keeps May not always be to your tune But regardless of their shortened hours They will be open again next day soon ! So when you need a paper A bottle of vino, or some bleach Oh and definitely try their sarnies If in the area, just go on, make that reach !! Millars of longhorsers.. there when it matters !

This was my first time here and I'm pleased I went. The building is all shop and the seats are table/bench style outside. I was surprised by the size of the sandwich menu but I already knew what I wanted - a bacon sarnie which was very nice with lots of bacon. Made quickly, as well. I also had a custard slice which was also very tasty. Those 2 items plus a mug of tea came to £5.20 so no problems with the prices. A very pleasant experience!

Called in here to order our daily paper for our weeks holiday down the road and what surprise! No making packed lunches now. The pasties and other baked products were superb (particularly the corned beef bites) lots to choose from freshly baked daily and all at reasonable prices. The service was also excellent, really helpful and friendly. If you are anywhere near you must call in. I would be seriously overweight if this was my local! (I think that counts as a recommendation!

Well worth a stop at the Longhorsley village shop. Friendly service and plenty of tasty sarnies and pasties for those passing through. Takeaway cuppa too. Nice for bikers and walkers as the owners have cafe tables outside for well earned rest.

Stopped off on the way home from a week in Wooler for breakfast butties, thanks to a recommendation. We all agreed they were the best butties we've possibly ever had. Probably a good job we live in Yorkshire so I can't pop in here every day!!! Other sandwiches available and a great selection of cakes. Highly recommended.

Played today, Mon 26th August, Great layout, but sadly the greens are diseased and awful, and the tee boxes are terrible, very expensive bar, and no food being served, even though there was a competition on, and the bar was busy, Sadly one to miss in the future.
