Cakes were very bland and tasteless, each flavour tasted the same. Can’t speak for the food but the cake I would not recommend.

I used to buy regularly but this time their food made me diarrhoea so I will buy no more

Mom bought a chocolate cake brought it home sliced served the second we put it in our mouth we spitted it out it was so not fresh and so smelly like a trash and mouldy taste yuck. Went to return it and complained swapped it for a difference unfortunately the same thing happened so disappointed with your cakes Sanam

Dont Waste your Time Went into this shop to get a 1/2 kg box of mittai on 13/4/24. We were served by the rudest, sour faced guy who proceeded to choose the pieces which I couldn't see from behind the counter , I managed to ask for jalebi. We were charged £7 after he had packed and sealed the box. The contents are virtually all the same brown, bland pieces of mittai, 2 gulab jamun and 2 jalebi which tastes stale , not fresh at all. I wouldnt actually give any stars 0 for customer service 0 for quality of the food Advice- Go somewhere else

They charged my husband £10 for half kg matai which they mix and select themselves. Please beaware you are not being ripped off at this shop.

I went to get something and customer service was shocking. 2 people there completely ignored me and 1 told me to wait half a hour for jalaebi to get get me out of the shop.

Fantastic sweets and specialy jalebi

Nice clean shop, things are well organised. Seating was perfect for my one stop of a cuppa and a chicken pastry. Chap on the till was polite, and friendly. Will be back again, as those pastries were the best I have ever eaten!

Even one star is too much for this shop avoid going there. Paid £24 for nafees / gulab jamu- sweets and i have tried them elsewhere it literally tastes amazing and bought 2kg there this time 1st of all it looks like a 1kg and secondly they taste rubbish. We asked if they are fresh and he replied yes they are and after we drove 2h to get back home and tasted they tasted very old looks like its been baked 2 weeks ago please avoid going this pleas. There is a bigger and much more cleaner shops just near by, i should get a refund for a trash i got from this shop.

Everything is just meh, food tasted bland and lacking in flavour. samosa was not crispy and burfi not sweet

Rude greeting, guy at front looked annoyed and unenthusiastic immediately, prices are hidden and the food was mid, it literally, tasted like it was stale and old. Gross. The shop itself, yes its small, but that means the cleaning should be easier as there's less too clean, but no. Rust and mold visible to the naked eye. The front desk guy himself was so rude when taking our order. In fact, when questioning prices of sweet boxes, he rolled his eyes and sighed the entire time, like its common sense, when loads of shops have different prices. Sort it out, cos the Rusholme and Longsight Sanam, at least make you welcome, and the food tastes fresh.... To conclude, sh**ty food, sh**ty service and never will go here again, go to a different branch of Sanam Sweethouse and Restaurants

Food is tasty and staff is friendly. Prices are good too. My go to place for chicken patties and fresh samosa

The man that was serving was so nice and helpful I got 2 different types of patisa it was Epic And the meat samosa was the nicest samosa I have ever tasted in my life and it was full of meat Thanks Sanam

My review is based not on food but the principles of trade. Ordered food stuff and the bill came to £6. I asked if they accepted card. After a positive acknowledgement, I paid by card. The card machine was presented, but I could not see the screen as that wasn't turned towards me. Card was tapped and I left. Turns out, they charged £6.50. I did have cash too, but just thought this would be easier. If they want to charge a transaction fee, they should make this clear either verbally at the time of accepting the order or have it displayed clearly. It's not a matter of £0.50 for me but a matter of principle. They should not subsidise their operations this way. And no, it does not cost them £0.50 to process a card transaction. Unacceptable behaviour.

Good for a quick snack as they serve samosas, chaat and pasties and they have a good selection of cakes and Asian sweets. We once pre ordered around 50 samosas for a party and they were ready on time and very nice.

Very UNHYGIENIC. Saw one staff member cleaning the Jelebi Counter with the same Mop he used on the floor... I told the Manager but was completely ignored. Absolutely disgusting

Actually I've ordered a birthday cake from there. It was looking nice but the taste was rubbish. All of my friends had the same feedback about the cake. I've bought some jilebis as well from there. But it was nice.

Really sad to say these guys rip you off on two occasions iv been over charged and paided for products then looking in the bag and not had two lots put it. When going back in the guys don't want to understand English so the problem never got resolved this is a very poor way of running a business would definitely not recommend

I visit here quite regularly to get my sugar fix. The staff are friendly, reasonable prices and if you get there at the right time you can get fresh jalebis and samosas.

The worse experience ever. Firstly, then told me to wait for jalebi then the prices are not upto date. Mix sweet box was £5.50 for 1/2kg but the worker charged me £6 without even confirming the price and didnt ask if i want receipt until i asked for it. Get you service better!

The samosas are the best in the area, desserts are good and service is good too.

The pakora was cold when I was told it was hot. It made me gag. Almost threw up in the car. We're in a pandemic struggling to get businesses working and here they are exploiting us for money I may aswell have put in the bin. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy.

Products are okay. A lot of items are made fresh on site but some items come from head office so sometimes have bought mithai and it has been quite stale. Samosas, pastries and jalebi were fresh and very tasty. Customer service is mediocre but all Sanam branches I have visited are not amazing on customer service. Price wise I do find Sanam quite expensive, as compared to other brands. And recently they have put prices up again. If you love Sanam mithai and products then thats cool..not my first choice though.

Rubbish service. Bought a cake which the the person who served me said it was fresh. Well IT WAS OFF.. Very rude and educated people.

V rude. Asked for 6 rasgullas. Instead of giving us sweets from the tray, he just got an old box that had some rasgullas from before lying next to the tray. When we asked for fresh ones from the tray he refused. How rude. Went instead to Delhi sweets nearby. Great customer service and quality sweets there.

Very disappointed i spent £200 for sweets but all money wasted and my event spoiled due to bad quality of sweets. Was looking fresh but actually it made my all family unwell

I am absolutely disappointed.A highly rated establishment providing years of quality sweets has lost its touch. I took £70 worth of sweets. And the rasmalais had gone off.And my guests sadly got food poisoning, which looked really bad on me.Really annoyed and frustrated with myself.I will be going to the health officers and reporting this.PS avoid to save your health

Really bad experience. Not again buying samosas which smells like mashy peas and dai balle are like mixed in milk water and there is only one palle in it. Please for everyone to check make sure food is fresh not a month old. Do not like this service
