Food and service fantastic, will go there again soon

Called and made a booking a week before. Explained I needed space for a pushchair. At the time they didn’t have much booked in and was very accommodating. 45min before we were to sit down we called to ask if they knew of a taxi service because Skegness taxi availability is poor and because they were now busy they couldn’t fit us in. In summary because we had a baby our business isn’t good enough.

Food really good. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

As usual, San Rufos lived up to its reputation as the very finest restaurant in Skegness, if not the UK Fabulous food, excellent service, and all at very sensible prices.

Loved it here, called during a holiday and had one of the best meals!

Had pre booked here about a week in advanced. There were 4 adults and 3 children 1 age 18 months and 2 aged between 9 and 11. Upon arrival the server seemed confused by our arrival. Our reservation was eventually found. We were seated towards the back on a table not suitable for 7. Having to put my sons high chair on the end meant we actually blocked off the walkway and entrance exit to the back dining/yard area. Having a toddler means I was struggling to keep him out the way. We had to stand up and move when people wanted to get past each time. This was inconvenient. It was a packed restaurant on a Tuesday evening to add. My husband went outside with our son so he was out the way as we did feel like an inconvenience. I saw there was a 6 seater table outside at the bottom where there were no other diners. I asked if we could move there and we were able too. Our table was laid promptly and our drinks moved for us our food order was then taken. This was really accommodating as a lot of my party felt uncomfortable inside. The food arrived quickly and fresh. We even saw someone picking herbs from the yard which is a nice touch. I wouldn't say it was a great restaurant for larger parties but some may disagree. The staff were lovely and understood our reasons for moving. Tbh it probably helped them with us being out the way. It would be lovely if the yard was attended too further. No necessary for dining but maybe a bench or something for drinks. And a place where children can burn off some energy if needed.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at San Rufo’s, and it was an experience that surpassed all our expectations. As a walk-in party of six, we were warmly welcomed and promptly seated, a testament to their accommodating nature even for larger groups and families. One of the standout aspects of our visit was the impeccable service. The staff were attentive and genuinely friendly, going out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.  The food is nothing short of excellent. Each dish was crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients and bursting with flavour. From our hearty pastas to pizza to a perfectly cooked piece of meat, the attention to detail and passion for Italian cuisine is evident in every bite. The combination of excellent food, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a standout Italian restaurant.

Ordered the meal deal to take away, 2x lasagne, chips salad and garlic bread all for £21! it was amazing will definitely be having it again next time we visit Skegness

Walk in didn't book, but didn't expect to be ignored. Sat in a chair in foyer no drink offered, whilst we were waiting for a table. Then no dietary requirement menu available

First time , will defiantly be going back. Excellent food and surroundings.

I’ve just been there for a birthday meal with 17 of us. The service was friendly and swift, orders were all correct, and the food was exceptionally well priced. The food was delicious and I look forward to coming back again in the future. Truly, one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time.

The restaurant was full, so they were busy. Only 3 front of house staffs, so they were struggling, nevertheless, they tried their best. Their house lager, Biara Moretti, didn't tasted fresh, didn't have the usual fresh lager taste, probably beer line needs cleaning. The chicken I had was plentiful but a bit dry. Sauce was nice. Still, 4 stars for the food but because of the slightly off beer, only 3 stars for the meal. Overall, a pleasant experience, would visit again, but would order bottle beer(if they stock it) next time.

Came for my partner’s Birthday on Sunday 30th of June with his Dad and our Daughter we came at Lunch time ,my daughter had a pizza and we all had steak with chips and salad cooked to perfection food was amazing and delicious definitely would come back Again. Restaurant had a lovely Atmosphere with a good size garden and Great attentive staff .

Went in yesterday afternoon, got seated straight away we ordered our drinks and food. We received our drink and then before our food had even arrived one of the staff members came over to the table and asked how long we were going to be even though our food had not arrived yet? Her response for this was that they was other customers waiting which is very unprofessional. The food was very nice but the customer service was arrogant and asif they were above us. We felt as though the way we was dressed was looked upon however if this was the case then surely a dress code should be put into place. The table next to us was very loud and wasn’t asked the same question to how long they was going to be. Would definitely order food from here for take out but will never eat in. However the Manager was very polite but would definitely advise to take more control over your staff as from some reviews it seems this is an ongoing issue which will tarnish the reputation of the business. I work in customer service, I would be appalled if anyone around me rushed and spoke to customers the way the lady did.

Had spare rib starter off the special board it was gorgeous meat fell off the bone

Was disappointed, my family have been eating here for a long time, I popped into a nearly empty restaurant last night to ask for a last minute table. The lady hardly even looked at the bookings and offered us a table on our own outside. With a 1 year old. I did mention there were 70% of the tables free. But still no proper look at times of booking. In the current weather sitting outside with a 1 year old wasn’t acceptable to even suggest to me. It’s one of those situations where you wish the owner, who I know will have worked hard for there long established business, was there. The staff had an air of arrogance, likely due to the restaurants popularity. In the end we eat at Tarantino, which is by far the best meal I’ve eaten in a long time. Great beer and unreal food! Keen to seat us in a busy and lovely atmosphere. It’s certainly the last time any of my family will walk in San Rufo’s

This place is amazing. The food is outstanding, the staff are brilliant. Such a great atmosphere. Very welcoming to children. They managed to fit us in last minute on a Saturday evening and made our experience unforgettable.

Went out for a lunchtime meal to celebrate 2 friends' birthdays 🎂. The food was lovely and hot. I had the reduced size pasta dish, and the portion size was just right. It was a little noisy as unfortunately a family with several young children came in who were a little loud, but the season has started now, so you come to expect it with daytime dining.

Over portioned, under seasoned, over priced. A very forgettable meal apart from the overly large tasteless fish cake starter (the accompanying salad was the star here!) Swordfish main was fine, but not exciting. Lobster ravioli was undercooked with chewie sludge in the centre. Not winning any awards this year

Food was okay but nothing that any other Italian restaurant doesn't do

Booked for Saturday night arrived st 5 order taken we had lasagne salad garlic foccacia all really good excellent presentation finished it all the tiramisu which was gorgeous my hubby had chocolate bomb which he said was delicious very reasonable price for excellent quality

Hate doing these reviews I am a big believer in that small business's need our help. Right from the start we felt un easy. We sat down and the table was broke/wobbling we informed the lad that we have clumsy children and drinks on the table wouldn't work. The guy tried to fix but couldn't then just wonderded off and came back 2 mins later asking for our drink order. We again informed him that the broken table wouldnt work with children, he told us there wasn't any more tables but the place was empty with only one other table taken up. He then wondered off again to talk on the phone which we found very rude. So we walked out and went to place called No.9 round the corner to which we had excellent service and food was amazing.

Didn't have a reservation, as normally don't enjoy solo dining was going to get something to go,but decided to eat in. Was shown to a quiet out of the way table. The grilled goats cheese and lobster ravioli was just perfect. Service by the two young staff was great. Changed my solo dining phobia!!

Went here for the first time tonight with my partner, could not rate it higher. The food was incredible, every member of staff was on point and so friendly! All the other customers looked like they were having a great time, the atmosphere was incredible. Will definitely come back next time I'm in skeg!

First time we visited this place as met up with friends. It has a nice atmosphere, great choice of food to suit everyone's palate. The food was well presented and rated amazing staff very attentive.

Wow ! 👌 on holiday with family and friends and 10 of us decided to eat at this amazing restaurant. Everyone's food was delicious, from pizza to lobster and all at very reasonable prices. The food is all cooked from fresh and you can see the chefs cooking in the kitchen which is a nice touch . To top it off the service is excellent, one of the waiters was a former magician 🎩 and really did make an extra effort. If you are visiting Butlins or surrounding area this restaurant is a must ! Thank you guys for a fantastic evening .

The service was excellent, the Dean Martin on a loop recording annoying, especially with a child being indulged by parents playing loudly on an electronic device instead of joining in conversation. Unfortunately the main dishes did not live up to their description. Both garlic mushrooms and lasagne were let down by swimming in a tomato soup with extremely stringy cheese. The chicken and mushroom risotto was heavily overladen by peppercorns which detracted from an enjoyable dish. However the dessert was amazing.

Went on a busy Saturday evening so understandably the waiting staff weren't as attentive as possible. Food was lovely tho and the restaurant was very nice with a good atmosphere. Made a change from skeggys usual burgers and chips

90mins for average food to arrive. Chianti rough - Pizziola sauce 1/10! Yes I have lived in Italy! Was the food here good - No!! Steak boring! Bill £100 - wasted.

Sat in the 'Conservatory', very nice, lovely ambience. Great service. The food seemed a while to come, but we had a lovely drink before our meal, which was actually a treat. The food was delicious, very generous portions though, so be cautious about having starters. We were asked if we wanted to take the rest of our mains home and said yes, and the staff put them in containers for us without a murmur, all very polite and professional. Lovely bottle of wine. Very reasonably priced too. We will definitely be visiting again.

We had a takeaway from here and it was just as fresh as if you were eating in the restaurant. The taste was amazing.

Food cooked freshly to your order so be patient and prepared to wait. It is well worth it to experience lovely tasty food.

I had the salmon special to start. The chef used too much vinegarette which overpowered the taste. I had carbonara for main. This would have been nicer if they used spaghetti instead of tagliatelle and egg instead of cream.

Food is lovely and tasty. Always use san rufo's for our Italian takeaway. As I have meal deals, garlic bread with tomato and cheese.

We were pleasantly surprised by the large portions. The sword fish and prawns were excellent and a must try for fish lovers. The sirloin was cooked to perfection, tender and full of flavour. Each dish came with salad and choice of chips or veg. The side of veg was a meal on its own and cooked just long enough to still be slightly crunchy. Definitely a place to visit for dinner if you are in Skegness.

I decided to try 'San Rufo's Italian' restaurant for a special occasion & pre-booked in advance for my Wife and I ... Friendly welcome and lovely menu to choose from. We enjoyed a selection of starters & main courses with sides and delicious garlic pizza bread to share. We found our meal portions ( both starters & mains ) were very generous and delicious. The food was beautifully presented, and the whole meal experience really left us feeling we had received excellent service. This was the first time we had visited 'San Rufo's' and we rated this restaurant 5 stars. Definitely will be returning. Thank you.

Made a last minute booking for my partners birthday as due to bad weather we had to cancel a previous reservation. When we arrived at the restaurant they had no reservation for us even though I rang 4 hours previous and booked it. They weren't very helpful or apologetic only offering for us to come back in an hour or sit in the conservatory which we weren't happy with it so we left. The staff really didn't seem to care so we decided to give it a miss.

The food is excellent here with a great atmosphere , visited 3 times on my visit to winthorpe and will always come back ,try the seafood pasta ,awesome !

Should probably update your opening hours, tried to visit today to get some lunch to take away, arrived at around 1:30 and they were closed, despite it saying here and on their website that they're open between 12 and 2.

Don’t waste your time and money. We were welcomed in the conservatory although we had booked table but it was ok with us. Though the restaurant looked empty. Ordered half a glass of wine, ( the red wine I’ve ordered came white at first ) ; a pint of beer and calamari ( one) as a starter. Waited about half an hour for the starter. Was not something special , too much sauce as well. For main we’ve ordered risotto and pizza which after over an hour wait did not turned up so we just left. We’ve paid £20 for the calamari and the drinks. Very disappointed. Wish we went somewhere else to have a good time and nice meal. Never again.

We were made to sit in the conservatory because we didn't book a table before we went, according to the lady who welcomed us although the main restaurant was not occupied.we didn't understand that but nevertheless it was ok. For starters we had king prawn with butter which were nice but not the best.we also had calamari which was quite nice. After the starters it took 25mins to get the main which was spaghetti Bolognese and spaghetti tutti de frutti. Both mains were nice and tasty good value for money. We also had garlic bread which was ok but could have been better tastewise. We give this experience 8/10

Enjoyed a beautiful meal on our last night of our break away to Skegness would highly recommend this restaurant staff were really friendly. Food was so tasty and fresh definitely will be returning when visiting Skegness again.

A very popular local family run restaurant. Second time visiting for us and it was excellent both times. We had 3 courses and all were delicious, fresh and well cooked. Well presented. Highly commended and very reasonable prices and a very warm welcoming atmosphere.

First visit. Friendly service, very obliging. Food was excellent, hot, well presented. Tasted fantastic. As it was early evening it was busy but could still hold a private conversation. We'll go again when next staying near here.

First time being here with My partner and the customer service was lovely and all the workers was very polite I highly recommend to go. Only had starters and I felt full up. Nothing I wanted to drink does not show cocktails. I had a blue lagoon had about 4 and they were lovely. Stunning place.back garden where you can sit and dine. Looks beautiful to sit out there. Thankyou for a lovely service.
